Coconut Cove

This does not smell like soleil blanc in the slightest. What this DOES smell like, however, is coconut fizz from Guerlain almost EXACTLY once it starts drying. This is a very fresh, watery, zesty coconut. If you’re looking for creamy coconut, or suntan lotion coconut, look elsewhere cause this is not it. However, if you love coconut fizz but don’t want to pay the price for a bottle now that it’s discontinued, this is as close as you’re going to get. I wont pull this trigger on this as I already own coconut fizz and it would be redundant, but I love this scent profile. I little zingy, a little nutty. I like it a lot. If you like aquatic coconut scents, get this.

I may have discovered this too late in the summer because WOW. Coconut that's not sunscreen-y like many perfumes that smells super fresh and unisex. It's really unique. I sprayed this for work the last few days and I get little whiffs of it here and there and it just settles into something clean and sparkly. The citrus and the coconut work so well together. To get the lasting power you need you definitely need to overspray, but since I have just the sample a few does the trick for an intimate projection. Definitely something to grab next summer.

** I was sent this by the brand, but review is completely my own opinion** I personally find this to be my perfect coconut scent. Its not sweet, but its musky fresh coconut with a hint of bergamot. It lasts about 8 hours on clothes and about 6 on the skin. The first time i tried this, i smelled it on paper and i HATED it. I thought it was thick and salty and too floral but on the skin it mellows out and becomes a really nice airy musky coconut i personally dont get any florals when its on my skin

This to me is a warm & dry coconut scent. Slightly sweet from the Bergamot & Vanilla. I layered this with Madagascar Vanilla fragrance and it was beautiful together. On it's own though, it's a very easy wear. It's a warm coconut, perfect for a summer evening. Nothing unique that I haven't smelled before. But for the price I think if you need a realistic hairy coconut bark with a little sweetness in your collection then go for this.

The Gardenia and Jasmine really add nicely balanced floral notes to this Coconut fragrance. And the sandalwood grounds the base of the fragrance. Skylar "Coconut Cove" and 7 Virtues "Coconut Sun" are my two favorite "designer" Coconut fragrances. The Skylar has more floral notes whereas the 7 Virtues is absent of those floral notes.. but both are my favorites when it comes to "basic" Coconut fragrances. So basic.. but so Good. 😊

Just a delight to wear! Flirty, cool, floral, and warm all at once with that delicious note of coconut in the first few hours. Put it on in the afternoon yesterday, can still smell that faint warm and green fragrance this morning. I'm going to have to get me a big bottle of this! Perfect summer fun fragrance!

This smells extremely similar to Wild Vanilla Orchid by Floral Street on the dry down and in composition. This is a slightly green, complex and very floral coconut. I quite like the dry down on me which smells of orchid, helitrope, vanilla and coconut with just a hint of the brighter top notes.

I bought a rollerball(travel size) of Skylar "Coconut Cove" over 2 years ago and hadn't used it in about 18 months. I used it tonight and it still smells really good, lasts long(much longer than most other similarly priced fragrances) and has a nice sillage. 8.5/10

This scent is perfect for the hot, humid, tropical climate I live in. I could wear it day or night, love the coconut and it's just sweet enough without being cloying. However, it doesn't last at all and is quite expensive so I'm gonna go ahead and look for a dupe.

Immediately this smells to me exactly like coppertone sunscreen or oil from the 70s. I loved the beach so it is a good scent to me. I think of powdery coconut with a hint of light floral jasmine in the background. Fresh and clean with a slight synthetic trail.

One of the best coconut perfumes I have ever had, and one of Skylar's best as well. No sunscreen smell at all, and I also wear it in the winter. It is like a fresh, green, clean smelling coconut; sweet but not too sweet.

This actually had decent longevity compared to most Skylar scents I’ve tried. It starts out as a light, warm coconutty scent, and it dries to a resinous amber skin scent thanks to the ambroxan the lasted for hours.

I like this a lot more than I thought I would! I get coconut water and a creamy woodsy base that reminds me of oats haha. Not sure yet if I want a full bottle but my sample is a nice surprise.

It's coconut-ty without being too sweet. It's fresh and light due to the citrus notes with just the perfect amount of coconut. Nice to wear on a hot day.

So glad I found a cheaper version of Soleil Blanc. They are almost identical. Creamy coconut

Beachy, coconut, softly sweet, warm/amber, white floral, citrusy, lactonic, woody, musky, vanilla, floral, fresh, green, luminous, refreshing, natural, feminine, chic, transportive, nostalgic, unique On me this opens very citrusy with bright and tart bergamot, sparkling and zesty lemon, fresh spicy cardamom, and a soft and slightly musky hibiscus. The heart blooms with lush jasmine and gardenia, dewy green notes, and a very natural tropical coconut. The dry down intertwines softly musky and slightly salty ambroxan, sensual woodsy notes, the vanilla leaning floral heliotrope, and delicate vanilla orchid which really helps to ground the scent, and balance out the citrusy and green notes. I’m a huge fan of beachy/coconut fragrances, so I was super excited to finally get this one. Unfortunately, I don’t love it as much as I’d expected to, but it’s still pretty. It’s very natural and refreshing. I don’t overly enjoy the opening as I get a lot of bergamot, lemon, and green notes. However, the dry down is really nice! Also, this isn’t one of those beachy scents that smells like sunscreen/tanning lotion (although I absolutely love those). This does remind me slightly of Kayali Maldives in a Bottle (probably the closest in similarity, but still quite different), The 7 Virtues Coconut Sun, Alien Goddess, Nest Balinese Coconut, and Phlur Coconut Skin. However, I don’t find any of them to be that similar to Coconut Cove. It’s actually a rather unique scent. I do own several Skylar fragrances including Boardwalk Delight (my favorite!), Caramel Alps (2nd favorite), Vanilla Sky, Fall Cashmere, Nude Skin, Sweet Morningside, and Pink Canyon (my least favorite, it was a free gift with purchase). UPDATE: I dislike the drydown for this one so much. It has that same musk note many other gourmands— such as certain Kayali and Dua Brand fragrances use. I have demoted it to "like" accordingly. I tried 13 different Skylar perfumes almost immediately upon arrival— despite that they will surely have at least a little bottleshock. And I was most pleasantly surprised by this one. Bergamot and ambrox notes are very hit or miss for me, but they work beautifully here. The greenness is beautiful and there's only a mild fresh bergamot and green coconut upon application. There's no muskiness, so it smells clean, but the subtle sweetness keeps it from associations with soap fragrances. Despite the name, it does not smell like sunscreen or suntan lotion, which is more of a salty sweet photorealistic coconut. If that is the desired outcome, Nest's Balinese Coconut fragrance oil is much closer, though also much subtler and luxurious. This is decidedly floral due to prominent gardenia and a touch of jasmine with those beautiful modern luminous wood notes, often found in the solar fragrance category. Another reviewer refers to this as akigalawood, and I am not familiar, so I will defer to their judgement until I can confirm it for myself or learn otherwise. None of the Skylar fragrances smell premium to me so far except possibly this one, Cherry Baby, and Fall Cashmere. Most seem to be plagued by an inexplicable saccharine note— as in the actual artificial sweetener, not overly sweet. But I will let them all sit and recover from their journey, and hopefully that will show them at their best. I ordered these in mid-April, ground shipped across the nation from California to nearly the East Coast, so it's possible they were exposed to extreme heat on the way as well as shakes and other misadventures. I look forward to reviewing the others soon enough.

I really enjoy this scent! Coconut is a tough note for me. I like it in theory, but it's often paired with other notes that I don't enjoy. I especially am not a fan of the sunscreeny-coconut that is super popular. It's not bad! But that scent profile gets tiring very quickly and its just not a type of scent that I would EVER reach for except when going to the beach/pool to swim or hang out in the sun. Coconut Cove, however, is very lovely! I can immediately smell the coconut, the lemon, a bit of white florals - but it's not too overpowering. I can also smell some musk in here and it works so well with the coconut. This is all within 3 minutes of spraying each of my wrists three times. This is really lovely. I hope the woodsy notes come out more. I'll update! Bottom line: This is niceeeeee. I think I could actually see myself buying a bottle (or a travel size if it came in spray form and not rollerball form) and reaching for this. edit: after 4 or 5 hours what was mostly left is just musk. Musk with a slight coconut note. Very pleasant, but the best part of this fragrance is the first couple of hours in my opinion. I don't know if I would actually buy a bottle of this.

Mmmm, I have a sample of this and tested this out for the first time. I sprayed it on my arm and went about my day, I like the scent during the first spray and as it dries down. After a few hours I came back to smell if the scent was still there and it wasn't. I gave this a second try and I am still liking the first initial spray and when it dries down I get the bergamot, and coconut. It is not overly sweet which is great for hot humid weathers. I am still testing this, I will definitely come back and write my opinion on the fragrance lasting. Update: I have made a dent in this perfume throughout the summer, which says that I really like Coconut Cove a lot. Though it does not last long on skin and clothing on me I am going to just wear this on walks, to layer with and to run errands.

upon initial application (rollerball)... smells kind of spicy-warm-sweet? cardamom, citrus, green notes, coconut cream. then after a few mins, a little white florals and woods. the coconut becomes dry but still creamy - like a sunscreen. eventually dries down into a slightly sweet ambrox. i actually adore the ambrox scent, and would put this as a 'love' if not for the fact that this is called Coconut Cove and the coconut doesn't last. i'll tolerate the strange opening just for the drydown! what's really fascinating is that i don't relate to many of the reviews below, and nobody else has commented on the warm citrus spicy opening aside from @sarahsra who mentioned tom kha gai. the ambrox likely makes this this smell different on everyone, so i'd say this isn't a safe blind buy.

For starters, I’m not a coconut lover in many aspects. However, when I sprayed this on my skin it opened up to a true musky coconut (not synthetic at all) scent. I do get a little bit of the citrus notes in the opening, but it dries down to a sweet woody sensual coconut with some creaminess mixed in as well. I don’t get a ton of the middle notes, but in the stage between the middle and dry down I do get the smallest bit of florals. I really do enjoy this, and the mysterious form it takes on my skin (assumingly due to the ambroxine). This really is a nice summer time scent, but I can’t say that I would pay full price for it.

I just finished a bottle of this perfume and it’s cute, but not my favorite coconut fragrance by a long shot. I might revisit it down the road, but I think I’m just not a big fan of Skylar’s scent dna. They’re all sickeningly sweet and a little childish if I’m being honest, or at least I don’t feel particularly womanly when wearing their fragrances. I just prefer Balinese Coconut over this. I agree with the review below mine in that Skylar just doesn’t have a premium quality, though out of all of the fragrances I have tried, this one, isle escape, and salt air were the best.

Fresh, aquatic coconut with a touch of earthiness. Been looking for a decent coconut perfume lately and was disappointed to find that in most coconut perfumes it's usually the secondary note or barely noticeable. So, I am happy to report that this actually smells like coconut ! I don't get any of the other notes though, which I don't mind terribly because I really only care about the coconut, which is quite natural and clean ! Decent projection and lasting power as well, Can't go wrong with this one :)

The opening of this perfume is like a slightly spicy (probably the cardamom note), sweet, coconut-sunscreen scent. I can understand how the cardamom reads similar to Tom Ford’s Soleil Blanc, but it is more linear and sweet in comparison and loses the spicy note in the drydown. After a few hours in the heat, the drydown is more reminiscent of Coconut Sun by 7 Virtues. It turns to a sweet, coconut-vanillaish scent with a touch of amber. Nice scent, it has good projection in the summer.

This is the last of the scents in the Skylar discovery set I got. The notes on the box led made me think this was going to be a heavier, creamy coconut than what it actually was. On me, this was a salty, airy, beachy coconut. This wasn't heavy or cloying at all. I don't have anything like this in my collection but this just didn't last on me. I don't love salty air scents and combined with the lack of longevity, this is a pass for me but I did like it more than I expected to.

Lately, I’ve been completely obsessed with coconut; maybe it’s because summer’s here. It’s hard to find a coconut fragrance that’s not cloying, overly sweet, or artificial. But this one really hit the spot for me. It’s fresh, soft, and has a creamy, almost milky coconut vibe. What makes it even better is that it’s blended with jasmine and gardenia! Two of my all-time favourite florals. I love it so much that I even spray it on my hair before bed. It’s incredibly comforting.

This one says coconut straight away, but doesn’t remind me of another coconut scent. It is creamy and breezy and ever so slightly earthy. As many have noted, the performance is just ok, so maybe throw this in your bag for a mid-day refresh. If you’re layering coconut lotions, oils, fragrances etc I think this is a totally worthy choice. Most of the magic will fade away from skin pretty quickly, but stands a better chance on clothing in my experience.

I really love this perfume. It starts out a beautiful sweet coconut and dries down to a woody ambery scent. Some coconut scents take on a weird musty smell on my skin but this doesn’t at all. The projection is a nice arms length scent bubble and I get moderate wear from it like most Skylar scents, but I would say this one is at the end of the moderate range. I don’t get a citrus note in this and the floral notes are very subtle.

this is one of those scents that isn't extremely special but just good enough that i wanna reach for it from time to time, for me those green notes and that coconut give it a fresh, clean summer vibe perfect for warm weather. isn't too sweet from the coconut but more fresh and tropical, doesn't last too long but i overall enjoyed it!!! def a summer staple for me

mines in a rollerball which can alter it some. i get a salty hint, feels like you’re standing on the beach. i don’t get much actual coconut, but the creaminess almost alludes to it. i love that it dries down more woody and earthy. doesn’t feel like an immature coconut to me. and i don’t get any of the chemical qualities some say they get with this.

Nice, refreshing summery and breezy so I like it. I usually despise coconut scents but this one is scrumptious. Unfortunately I wore this one in middle school so that definitely knocks it down a few pegs. If it didn’t remind me of gym, algebra and sexuality confusion I’d definitely like it a lot more tbh. Still smells terrific!!

i feel the ambroxan in this, and the akigalawood (the woodsy notes are definitely giving akigalawood, a very modern undertone). i also get coconut, but not sweet as in a drugstore shower get, more crisp and green. i like this. could easily wear this all year round as an everyday work and out-and-about scent.

Creamy coconut balanced out by the citrus notes. It's fresh, clean, and slightly sweet. Great summer scent. There's something almost addicting about this. It's a very nostalgic fragrance. Smells like fond memories of summer as a kid. I have the sample for now, but I'm considering buying the travel size!

This isn’t very sweet and it definitely isn’t creamy. The bergamot in the opening is strong. The coconut is light and fresh, slightly watery. To me this is a clean girl coconut. Refreshing and beachy. I like it but I’m not sure I’d get the full size or even replace my rollerball when it runs out.

This is a different take on coconut, but I actually like it. It’s not a creamy heavy coconut (which I normally love), but this has more pep and zest to it for me. It is more of a green coconut to my nose. While I think of it as a summer scent, it could easily work for other seasons as well.

Green yet sweet coconut scent. I definitely get the florals and the bergamot at the beginning. Its a little reminiscent of sunscreen/oil, but not anywhere near as much as other popular coconut summer scents like Beach Walk for instance. A very fun perfume.

This one's pretty nice, but then I'm a sucker for coconut. It smells beachy and summery, definitely, although I'm not sure what kind of designer sunscreen everyone else is using, because the sunscreen I'm familiar with smells nothing like this lol.

Creamy coconut and super long lasting. It mentions having lots of notes but I mainly get coconut and ambroxan! It is quite sunscreeny but not chemical, like just a simple taste of summery coconut. The biggest pro is it lasts forever!

Great summer fragrance, I took this sample with me to the beach. It lasted all day on my well lotioned skin, I could still smell pleasant whiffs hours later. I would definitely get a full bottle, I like it better than MM Beach Walk.

Great for the girls that don't wanna smell overly nutty but still appreciate a coconut note. This is delightfully floral and more coconutty as it dries down. She's super cute and an easy grab during the summertime!

Beautiful white floral + coconut fragrance, with a woody ambroxan base. The coconut here is a sharp, fresh coconut. Imagine tasting fresh coconut flakes on the beach, add some white florals and that’s the scent.

Reminds me strongly of Love Beauty & Planet's coconut oil & ylang ylang hair conditioner. Very creamy, which the citrus tries to cut through, but I'm not sure if it's enough for my tastes.

sweet tropical and summery. scent came in and out which was weird. if you think beach walk is too sunscreen-y. coconut for people who don’t like the taste of coconut if that makes sense.

I like the notes in coconut cove, it smells so good .The only downfall is that it’s not long lasting . Stays on me for at least 1-2 hour then it vanishes. Vanilla sky lasts way longer .

I don’t know why it smells like their is like in this fragrance when I don’t see any like notes - maybe it’s the lemon but to my nose it’s giving lime-coconut. Nice and refreshing 👌✨🌸

i bought this perfume on a whim before going to miami and it was perfect for miami girls trip vibes; a little trashy and synthetic but the coconut is actually really nice

It’s surprisingly sweet almost unbelievable that all of it comes from the florals. It’s nice, but it’s simple. I’m gonna layer it with peach fields for complexity.

Nicely balanced and not too sweet. Tropical but not heady. Versatile

Opens with a bergamot and coconut combination. I also get the hibiscus note. I don’t detect the cardamom. I’m reminded of Mugler Alien Goddess with less vanilla and much more florals. I prefer Alien Goddess. This fragrance leans more clean floral beachy after the opening. I’m reminded of Jennifer Aniston’s perfume which I’m pretty familiar with because it’s my mom’s signature scent. I don’t particularly like that fragrance as I like my beachy scents to lean less strong and musky floral. I could see this fragrance giving people headaches from all the florals. I’m trying this scent from a sample set and notice that this one has better projection than their other scent I’ve tried so far, Peach Fields. After a few hours, it sits close to the skin. I have two body sprays this also is slightly reminiscent of once I compared them side by side: Bath and Body Works Copper Coconut Sands and Hibiscus Paradise. Hibiscus Paradise because they both have hibiscus and coconut notes but Hibiscus Paradise goes really musky and unpleasant. It’s similar to Copper Coconut Sands because they both have coconut, orchid, and wood. Something’s just off about this one too. It’s almost headache-inducing and I almost never get headaches from fragrance. For coconut cove, it’s too floral. There's so many alternatives like Alien Goddess, Alien Goddes Intense, and Dolce & Gabbana Dolce Garden that I much prefer.
