Double Dates

One of my favourites, if not my favourite perfume I’ve ever owned. I’m on my third bottle. I’m obsessed. I will never understand any negative reviews about this perfume. I just think though that in order to love this scent, you must be a true gourmand lover, like you have to enjoy deep rich ALMOST sickeningly sweet scents. Because “Double Dates” is very sweet. It’s incredible honestly. To me it’s very much like caramel cupcakes with decadent vanilla frosting. The brown sugar and toffee notes really transform this into the gorgeous baked-good scent it is, in my opinion of course. This perfume is also honestly the one I get most complimented on, the most in my entire life actually. My coworker always tells me I smell like freshly baked muffins. On several different occasions when I’m at the store I’ve walked by/around strangers and instantly heard them say how good it smells, like cake. My cousin always asks to spray this on her when she sees me because she says it smells so good and she knows it’s ALWAYS in my bag. I will never leave my house without having this bottle on me. I love it so much. I think I want this one forever.

This scent profile reawakened my enthusiasm for perfumes. I absolutely loved it. I do not find it to be the same as sticky dates. I actually hated sticky dates and found it just very loud and abrasive. This is so much more buttery smooth soft and sweet. The dates almost come off as cold in the opening like an ice cream and then the syrup-y buttery caramel like it’s been dripping on a vanilla sundae it comes in with this enveloping warmth. In the dry down I get a smokey marshmallow and cocoa butter. Almost leaning chocolate-y... My only qualm is with skylar I do not get good projection and it doesn’t last very long. So I am reapplying it often.

As a sticky dates owner, you know how lush just has that organic hippy earthy tones to their scents? Well with double dates, you just don’t get that at all so you can pick what you like. With double dates it smelled yummy with the first spray and then once it sit on my skin, it just blended so well with my chemistry that it smelled like straight up vanilla brown sugar ice cream. Very true and realistic. Doesn’t smell like plastic, play dough or fake and it does not smell strongly of alcohol ugh YES! Finally! I’m tired of all these perfumes and sprays smelling very strongly of alcohol. It was a win for me🩵

Smells really good. On me, it’s a deep brown sugar almost coffee smell and reminds me a bit of Amore Caffe so I really like it. I’ve never smelled Sticky Dates so I couldn’t compare the two. I bought the roller ball and I like that I can keep it in my purse. I’m not sure if I would buy a full bottle because it does remind me of something I already have but it’s nice. Doesn’t last very long - maybe 3-4 hours but I’m not always into “beast mode” long lasting fragrances cause I can find that to be annoying. For those that like to layer, I think this is a great option.

This is good~ It smells extremely similar to Lush Sticky Dates. Sweet dates. However this one is softer/fluffier not as harsh as Lush. This is not a powerhouse but holds it own at arms length and it dwindles down to nothing over 4-5 hours. I think this is the perfect price for a tried and true fabulous scent - one that you may or may not have to reapply to get you through your event. This screams holiday season! you’ll only love this if you’re into very sweet, strong smelling scents. at first it was too much for me, but i got used to it overtime. it does smell delicious but very strong. i love using this one before bed after a body cream, but the longevity is very poor. i’ve heard this about many skylar perfumes, i hope they up their game in this department.

WTF is going on here? I’m a veteran of the “Morphe Creator Wars” and I’m not going back to anything like that. Most comments aren’t even about the perfume. I love dates. How “dated” is this perfume?... or is it more of a coffee scent? I’m over the coffee, cappuccino, latte phase of perfume.

Sooo delish! Very comforting and cozy. Not cloying at all. Super girly and feminine. It's much more wearable than Sticky Dates. Love this on its own, but I also enjoy layering it with something a little more masculine/unisex. Leah did her big one with this for sure.

smells so delicious! it smells like brown sugar, dates, toffee, and sweet dates. When it sets, it smells like warm vanilla brown sugar. Only thing that is not that good is the projection and strength :( but I still love it so much and have made a dent in my bottle

Sweet Jesus this smells so damn good. Almost a Smokey warm toffee dry down. Overall a sickly syrupy sweet toffee and brown sugar. I am soooo happy with this one! The longevity is insane and the amount of throw and it fills the room. One of their best.

To me this fragrance smells like lucky charms with caramel in a pleasant way. It’s VERY sweet and I find it comforting. I didn’t like sticky dates, to me it was a little aggressive and cloying, but i surprisingly really like double dates.

Smelled this in store and it’s quite sweet! Very fruity.., starts with dates and on me ends on a rich syrupy pineapple? Kinda like a sugary drink without the booze! Much smoother and not chemically smelling like the sticky dates spray!

i put this on before i got into bed and my husband looked at me and said “what’s that smell? did you just eat some candy??” he usually doesn’t like anything sweet, but he likes this one lol

I really enjoy this perfume. It's so friggin awesome!! It's a grown up gourmand and such a delicious scent. I pair this with Ambre Vanilla body oil by laura mercier and it's just heaven!

To me- this isn’t like Lush Sticky dates other than the fact they are both primarily a date fragrance. Sticky dates choked me out and made me immediately nauseas. Something not right with that one, very harsh. This one is sweet caramely dates with whipped brown sugar frosting on top. All while you drink a cup of coffee. It gets more wearable as it dries down and less sweet, more fluffy. Edited to add: I’ve had it on for a few hours now and I’m realizing the dry down smells JUST LIKE Gritti Vanilla Tana

To me, this smells like sugary caramel on top of vanilla ice cream. It's a slightly fluffier, less syrupy version of Sticky Dates. I personally do not get coffee at all, but I can see how other people do. A really great fall/winter scent, it blends perfectly with cozy weather. Definitely sweet, but the profile is unique compared to many of the recently released gourmands on the market. It's not a must buy, but if you already like Sticky Dates, this is beautiful and complements the shower gel well.

This performs very well - great projection and lasting power. The smell is a lot like real dates if you were to open one and sniff it: caramely, boozy, and hyper sweet. This is leagues better than sticky dates, but absolutely similar. I think it needs something to cut through how boozy it is, but regardless I can see why this is beloved amongst the gourmand girls.

Molasses and brown sugar scent for the first 3 hours, that turns into play doh. I still like it and will wear it, just need to re apply so i dont get that lingering scent of play doh edit: i was on my period when i wrote that and upon smelling it normally it is the best thing ive ever smelled in my whole life. 1000000/10

Sampled in store. I know I can and will never wear this, but it did smell amazing on paper. Same as with practically any gourmand, it turned to burnt sugar and slightly displeasing on my skin. Those who are better friends with sweet scents would have a great time with this one on a cold fall evening.

This is Sticky Dates by Lush, almost identical! I pick Sticky Dates over this because of its complexity in the sweet date smell and price point, which are superior to Skylar's. Also, I got way more longevity with Lush than this perfume, and did not purchase it after testing. Just buy Sticky Dates!!

Hated it at first. Literally smelled like I sprayed myself with one of those spray bottles of I Can’t Believe it’s Not Butter from the 90’s. Just straight up table butter. But that did fade pretty quickly and I was surprisingly left with a beautiful drydown. Sadly, that faded quickly, too. You’re better off layering Sticky Dates and Let the Good Times Roll from Lush for the same effect, only more affordable and way longer lasting.

I smelled this on my skin today from visiting my local Sephora. It’s VERY heavy on the sweet caramelo smell. The initial blast was a strong mix of dates and raisins. After a few minutes of smelling it, I got a strong rum raisin ice cream type scent. After about three hours I pick up a very faint caramel. Very unique, true gourmand fragrance.

I found the sweetness in this to be heavy, right on the line of too much. On my skin, it warmed to a gentler caramel base, as the top and mid notes faded quickly. This was extremely overhyped by the influencer community in my opinion as there are many more beautiful caramel fragrances, and the date just didn’t come through for me.

A more synthetic and, somehow simultaneously, a more sugary version of Sticky Dates

Burnt burnt burnt. Like when you spill coffee on the warming plate of the coffee maker. I LOVE heavy almost sickly sweet gourmands, and even I could not stomach this. Gave it to a friend who I also do not think has worn it. PS: for the love of GOD or whatever you believe in, PLEASE PLEASE do not wear this when there is even a possibility of sweat. I cannot imagine how horrific that combo would be.

How? How do people love having a sore throat? YES ITS 200% sweet. YES ITS SMOOTH. YES people will complain at work about how you smell and they will sneeze. Holy cow. This is the sweetest thing I ever sniffed. It's strong for the first hour, 2nd to 3rd hour you barely smell it. Its crazy there's no journey here. I'm sorry but no.

this is a poor dupe of lush’s sticky dates :( it has this metallic, nearly burnt quality that is screechy on my skin. sticky dates has a more pleasant, almost slightly lactonic quality that this one misses entirely... semi points for a rollerball though

this really is sticky dates, like almost exactly sticky dates, it’s not bad i just don’t like sticky dates really so this is not my favorite but i’ll regift to someone who will enjoy it

I like my gourmands to be perfumey and wearable instead of so literal. This is thick and sticky. Has a burnt sugar vibe. too much for my tastes.

Sticky sweet in a sickly kind of way. Very potent yet doesn’t last. I might save it for Christmas time though — layered with something woody.

I've had this scent for a couple of months since its release and my opinion changes for it every time. When I first started wearing this fragrance it was so hard for it to stick onto my body and would disappear so quickly. Today while getting ready, I put on some Jergens Enriching Shea Butter lotion and applied Double Dates onto my wrists, collar bones, and behind my ear. This seemed to have elongated the time it has stayed on my skin. I have gotten a lot of compliments today and I think this scent just needs a little something for it to stick onto. I also prefer this over the other popular date perfume by a longshot.

smells really good but it’s literally just a lighter version of sticky dates for double the price and weaker longevity and projection. Skylar perfumes are known to be as strong as a body mist and they’re $90 each, meanwhile lush body sprays are only around $40-$50 but have beast mode projection and longevity. save your money and just get sticky dates.

Sephora has these on sale/clearance (?) and I always wanted to try- I blind bought a 10ml. Oh it's nice. But linear and SWEET. Buttery brown sugar. Burnt cocoa butter. Nothing but generic sweetness. Still, no regrets. This simple profile will be great for adding/layering brown sugar to any perfume.

On paper & in air this smells so good, literally like thick sticky homemade caramel with hints of coffee actually. But on skin this turned into a strong smoky coffee and popcorn scent. That sucked.

Epic fail.I love gourmande fragrances and truly thought this was a safe blind buy but I was WRONG! imagine a cup of burnt coffee with about 300 pumps of syrup in it and that’s this scent! Nope!

What the heck.... I seriously hope this changes. I’m a gourmand lover, but this is horrible. It smells like soured sugar free coffee syrup. It’s HORRIBLY synthetic smelling.

A less boozy & nutty, and more refined/tame version of sticky dates. However, it does have a really prominent butter note in the opening that threw me off.

smelled it in store and id say its pretty good! its caramel forward, and if youre someone thats into super sweet scents you'd deffff like this!!

It kind of smells like coffee liqueur to me. After a while, you get whiffs of a smoky marshmallow scent. Its pleasant

Smells exactly like Sticky Dates by Lush but double the price.

Sounds basic, but lovely! would like to test this one.
