Honeysuckle Dream

Photo realistic honeysuckle, sadly not a fan of florals but have always loved the smell of honeysuckles. Perfect it for the spring/summer!

Floral honeydew melon dream 🤍 Very wearable and gets compliments

In looking to collect more honeysuckle scents, this one popped up on sale at Sephora online. Can’t go wrong with a blind buy on sale right? Phew, at first sniff this smacked my nose hairs out of existence with a fresh bouquet of white florals (last fragrance that did this was Itálica but I digress). When it settles down, I can pick up the lily, pear and hints of honeysuckle. Not too bad but proceed with caution.

Fresh. It’s like walking into a meadow on a late spring day. Skylar has managed to capture a balance between the florals and the greeny bitterness that comes when you snap the stems. It’s a distinctive and organic aroma. Because of the slightly bitter green note, it might not for everyone... but I appreciate the charm it has.

This reminds me of an expensive luncheon atomizer scent. This is the smell of what wealthy people use to fragrance their homes. The lily is very present, and if you want to smell like a classy lady, but also kind of like someone’s aunt, this is for you.

Beautiful. Opens with a sweet, photorealistic honeysuckle, then after about 2 hours it dries down to a slightly bitter pear. My favorite scent from Skylar. Most other Skylar scents have a strong sandalwood base that bothers me, but not this one :)

Honeysuckle Dream leans very green. The florals that are present don't lend any sweet aroma, but enhance the greenness of this fragrance. On paper, I enjoyed this aspect, but on my skin, it becomes too sharp and I don't love it as much as I'd like to - it's almost as if there's an aquatic accord in here that isn't listed in the note breakdown. The base provides a slightly creamy wood, which reminds me of the original Miu Miu fragrance without the spiciness. In a way, I enjoy this scent, but it also doesn't really feel "me." I would even venture to say that this fragrance leans somewhat masculine because of the sharp and bitter greenery.

I was really excited about this one because I love honeysuckle and vegan products but.. initially the smell is hand sanitizer, rubbing alcohol, a sterile hospital. The drydown is kinda nice but in a friendly aunt kinda way, floral like an itchy Sunday dress. 3/10 do not recommend.

It’s a pretty enough scent after about an hour however not for me, I almost smell a slightly poopy smell under the florals however I think that’s just my nose lol

A blast of super green pear leaf. Even though it's listed as a top note, it's longest wearing note that I can detect. It lasts about 5 minutes, the florals come in for about 3 and the base notes are non existent because the scent is undetectable after 10 minutes. Last wore it on a hot and humid 4th of July party, and it still didn't last on skin even though I was literally damp all day.

This is just too wispy for me. I don’t hate this, but I do think the name is misleading. At best, the honeysuckle makes an uncredited guest appearance. It could do with some added sweetness, too. Very dry and woody. I tried Honeysuckle Dream alongside Aerin Lauder’s Mediterranean Honeysuckle, and I vastly prefer the latter.

Ack! Blind bought this at Sephora as it was 50% and I love honeysuckle; what could go wrong? Black currant. That's what could go wrong. Precursory sniff of the bottle: sweet honeysuckle, quite lovely. Initial spray: cat piss??? Turns out it's the black currant, and that's all I get from this fragrance. Straight cat piss. Thankfully, Sephora has an amazing return policy, because this is unwearable for me. I wish I could actually smell the honeysuckle, but unfortunately all I get is that pissy black currant :(

Honeysuckle is one of my fave florals so when I see it as a note I have to try it. Unfortunately this one is completely overpowered by the Lilly note (which is what some of you are smelling that resembles cat pee). I suggest Caswell Masseys honeysuckle instead, it’s much more straight forward and beautifully done.

Reading the reviews I feel like I’m in the minority. At first spray I get a green, fresh honeysuckle. After a couple of hours it fades and I’m left with cashmere wood and a little sandalwood, and thankfully I love these notes. I’ve never tried Aerin Mediterranean Honeysuckle, but I’m more than pleased with HD. One of my favorite summer scents. Simple, easy, happy.

Just received a sample of this. It is a little too green for my liking, almost bitter smelling with the honeysuckle on top. I could definitely see someone liking this, but for me it’s too bitter and not bright enough.

Super pretty honeysuckle. Starts our green and leafy, fades into something nice and ambery. But overall just dewy white florals. Really uplifting and a youthful take on white florals without adding too much else.
