Midnight Moon

This is wet, humid, earthy, etherial, and just gorgeous. A spooky dream scent. I love this on a rainy or overcast spring day. I don't get any obvious citrus or cranberry. It's a green witch fragrance though not a green scent. More blue-grey. Frosted glass doors leading to a wet, dripping garden in April. Pre-bloom. Everything is still but there is a buzzing. An anticipation of change. Vibrant life waking, smelling the rain, sensing a spring chill and rolling over for a few more moments rest before exploding with color and scent and energy. The quiet, still, calm anticipation of something to come. A favorite in my collection. When I think of transportive scenes this one comes to mind every time. Devastated this is now discontinued.

longevity and projection are low on this one but it's really lovely. reminiscent of skylar salt air, but with more of a crisp and earthy twist. smells like walking along the coast at midnight. if you're sensitive to citrus scents and think they smell like cleaner, you may experience that in the opening of this.

The dry down smells just like bath and body works white tea and sage.

This needed a little time to grow on me but now I like it. I think the heavy citrus in the opening put me off at first but the rest is a soothing but sultry watery cranberry. Midnight moon makes a good night fragrance that’s not necessarily for going out or not too attention-grabbing. It’s clean and calm, like the moon overlooking the ocean on the packaging(which is my favorite thing about Skylar perfumes btw) update: the sillage of this is insanely high btw apparently two of my family members could smell it from all the way across the house and they both love it

On my skin, this smells very much like Coco Mademoiselle plus an almost savory earthiness and rain accord. The rain accord is a little aggressive and detergent-esque, as I often find those kinds of scents to be, but it works with a rollerball .. I do think it would be too pungent with a proper spray. Midnight Moon is on sale at Skylar right now (likely being discontinued), so it may be something you want to try if a soapier, moodier twist on Coco Mlle appeals.

I don’t smell the citrus as much as I smell the woody earth notes! They are really putting in the work. This is like a rainy day floral, like you stuck your nose in a wet flowerbed. There’s an understated beauty to it, and I see this playing very well with a vanilla. It’s very clean and almost nostalgic....dries down to a typical skylar scent, very heavy on the lotus.

Fresh, sweet, soapy. I'm wearing it to do chores today and it's uplifting my mood, lol. It's like a mix of Coco Mademoiselle, Clean Reserve Rain, and tiiiny bit of Vera Wang Princess.

It's been a bit of a roller coaster with this one. On paper, it smelled so sharp I wasn't sure if I'd even test it on my skin. Thankfully, the opening citrus was sweet enough to keep me going. It softened even further to creamy wood on the drydown, but now... Now all I seem to be getting is mud. I know, I know, it's supposed to smell like earth, but mud? Not a fan. Gotta hand it to them though, when Skylar sets a scene, I get it. I did with Willow Woods, and I did with Midnight Moon. I just wish it was enough to pull me into their atmosphere.

There’s something reminiscent of iris or orris that stands out to me here. It’s creamy, earthy, and powdery at the same time. Not at all what I thought it would smell like based on the notes. Bergamot, cranberry, and vetiver are called out as being the main three main notes, and I can’t pick out any of them. To me this smells nearly identical to Elorea Heaven, but I like Heaven better because it feels more like a floral and less like a mess
