Pink Canyon

Pink Canyon is safe and easy to wear, but that doesn't detract from it. It smells effortless. I pick up on the sweetness of the grapefruit and amber (it's not a tart, tangy citrus, nor is it predominantly white flowers). The salty note is effervescent and beachy. I thought it didn't have much sillage but people have noticed and complimented it! Only thing is that this does need to be reapplied every few hours (but I've had to do that with all the other Skylars as well). This is worth having the full size vs the rollerball. Edit: I know what this reminds me of! I wore Mariah Carey Luscious Pink consistently through high school. This pleasantly reminds me of that but is less sweet, more mature.

I couldn’t wait until summer to wear this so spring it is. It feels like invoking the summer sun. I love smelling this all day long, although I feel it sits close to the skin and doesn’t project, so it’s like a treat for me. Bonus is it’s perfect for the office if someone does catch a whiff. The initial scent is very bright and full of grapefruit and floral, and it calms down to a very elegant creamy woodsy smell with that extra tang of salt. Update after wearing all day long for a few days, the creaminess of the tiare flower seems to be what is captivating me, especially how it softly makes its entrance after the invigorating smell of the grapefruit. Love!

I got a mini roller of this in an Ipsy bag in high school. I loved it so much and put it on every single day until I ran out. Thankfully, my then boyfriend (now fiancé) found another mini roller because it was so expensive for us then (and still now haha). I haven't used it up, I have a little less then half and still can't bring myself to use it up. I keep it on my desk, and sometimes I'll sniff it and be transported back to great memories. This scent made me feel amazing, like an it-girl. I so recommend if you love a citrus blast that fades into this lingering fresh yum. Never reviewed perfume before but I love this so so much.

I love how well-blended the salt is in this. I'm a fan of salt notes, but in almost all cases I find that the perfumer was too heavy handed with it and the result is often plasticky or too sharp. This one is beautifully balanced, resulting in a soft, creamy floral. Skylar's visual aesthetic skews young, but Pink Canyon is for the young at heart. It's warm and grounded, but still light and carefree. It's the perfume of that coworker that hikes on weekends with her dogs and is always willing to help you with your project when you need it.

This is a feminine version of Jo Malone’s Wood Sage & Sea Salt, although it doesn’t scream “girly”. It’s not a zingy fresh citrus, it’s more of a fresh/salty/musky/fruity/floral. I mostly get the salt/grapefruit/magnolia/musk. Longevity is weak to moderate (about 3-4hrs) and projection is pretty intimate. Overspray and you’ll get a couple feet of projection for an hour or two. I really enjoy this for spring and summer.

I'm so in love with this scent - it's definitely going to be a summer go to for me this year. I wasn't sure how I'd feel about the grapefruit, because that can be hit or miss for me, but on me this smells clean and crisp without leaning too tart. The dry down has a nice musky saltiness that I personally love and I find the longevity actually really impressive, though I would say this does sit pretty close to the skin.

I love this one. Its a perfect beach scent without any coconut and I find the sea salt note really unique! At first spray I did find it a little headache inducing, but the dry down was great. Its soft, woody, creamy, and elegant. It feels very sophisticated but can also be a casual everyday scent. Perfect for a spring day with a warm breeze :)

It’s super nice fresh scent. I get a juicy, bursting grapefruit with light florals and dry woods . If you like citrus-woody scents you would like this . Feels like being in the Grand Canyon if it was next to the ocean because you still get this fresh, breezy salty air . Best suited for the summer.

This is my favorite perfume I have had in a long time! I am obsessed and finished the whole bottle during summer. I layer it with whatever I have with me and it goes with anything. I get so many compliments when I wear this! I am not great at describing smell but I just know I love it!

Love this. Skin scent with a bit of fruit and a bit of floral. When I was trying to guess the notes before checking I was detecting Peach and Pink Pepper with maybe Rose. I was surprised to see none of these notes but helps describe a bit how its a fresh skin scent.

I wore this to a music festival on a hot weekend. I'm sure I didn't smell totally amazing by the end of the night, but this never went sour on me after hours of sweating in a park lol. And I made some great scent memories :) I consider this a perfect summer scent.

This is so pretty! I get the super woody notes in the beginning and then it just turns into a pretty cloud of kind of sweet cedar, in a very feminine way. Easy, pretty, very office friendly scent!

This is really lovely. Light, fresh, a bit reminiscent of Jo Malone but a bit longer lasting. Just a really nice spring fragrance. If you enjoy citrus/grapefruit it’s definitely a safe blind buy.

Reminds me of liminal spaces. This is what that big open green space in a sunny park with no one around in sight smells like. For that reason, it grew on me to end up being a love.

I adore this scent. The grapefruit note is bright and clean and refreshing and the sandalwood dry-down is so unexpected and lovely. It smells like an expensive hotel lobby.

I think this perfume smells like an arnold palmer, i know theres not a tea note, maybe its the clary sage coming off a bit iced tea like on my skin but i love this

Absolutely magical, I could snort this

Wearing this now from a sample that is part of a discovery set. There is an initial blast of pure alcohol but I'm suspecting that the set is somewhat old and that may be the reason. Once this fades there is a burst of grapefruit and an instant recognition on my part that this is very very similar to something that I already have. Five seconds later I identify the scent that this reminds me of: I Love Love by Moschino. This smells so much like that. There are slight differences. There is a chalky note here that seems a bit rough to me and lends the impression that the scent is not so well blended. On the whole, while this is nice, I see no point in acquiring this as I already have something so similar and IMO better smelling in my wardrobe. I don't own Light Blue but I would say that anyone who does doesn't need this scent either. Update - 5/24 - tried this again and I have to say that it's really very nice. There is an aromatic nuance here that sets it apart from similar scents. Still not convinced that this is a necessary addition to any wardrobe that already includes Light Blue or I Love Love but I would definitely and happily wear this if I were gifted a bottle.

This is nice. First spritz is grapefruit and a sort of salty, skin scent (with maybe a touch of coconut?) Then the other notes come out. Idk why it smells like there is cypress to me. Maybe the combo of sage and lemon and cedar smells like cypress to my nose. It is not strongly floral but there is a touch of floral (mainly magnolia?) that does come out a bit. Salty note because more prominent as time goes on. Stays grapefruity all throughout the wear. It is interesting because this is a fresh but soft, feminine aromatic. Often I do not like aromatic perfumes because they are very harsh, masculine or too woody for me. But this scent is a very soft, feminine aromatic - while still being fresh and light. Perfect for summer.

Oh my word the memories! To the nose, at first sniff, this immediately sent me back to 2013- turquatic (by mac). Smell's just like it (it was my back up fragrance lol). This is definitely a unisex fragrance and has an aquatic note that I'm smelling even though it isn't listed in the profile. I am interested to see if this changes during the dry down. Will update! I won't be buying a full bottle. This was definitely a fun fragrance sample that brought on the nostalgia though. edit: the dry down is totally salty with a touch of cedar. Smells like a crayon? A total skin scent. it was fun to try!

A sweet sugary and lightly salted grapefruit not a tart or bitter grapefruit. Uplifting florals and radiant citrus. Reminds me of a high quality Victoria’s Secret perfume. Less synthetic and less sweet, but that same young and outgoing vibe. Of course it sounds feminine based on that description, but I think guys can pull this off too. The amount of bright citrus can make it go either way. As long as they like youthful citrusy slightly floral fragrances. Especially in the spring or summer at some sort of outdoor casual event or vacation.

I really love this one, it smells nice and fresh but still unique, even though this is at Sephora I have yet to smell this on anyone else. The grapefruit note is, to my nose, very realistic and not overly sweet at all. If I were a signature scent type of person this would definitely be one id consider. You’ll probably get the best performance in summer, but I wore it one day in winter earlier this year and it still lasted me a good 6 hours, and now in the warmer weather it sticks around for 10+ definitely great for any season.

I was surprised by how much I like this - somehow the mix of grapefruit, pink salt, and cedar create a nice, soft, sparkly skin scent that is both fresh and intimate. It is nostalgic of something that was popular ten or fifteen years ago, but it's still classic enough that it doesn't feel dated. Perfect for a professional environment or lunch with your mom when you want her to think you have your life together. I just wish it had a little more oomph in projection.

Pink Canyon is a soft citrus. There is no bitterness to be detected in the grapefruit as it mixes with the florals - especially magnolia. I can't pick out the sage or the salt, which only reinforces the softness of the fragrance. Like other Skylar scents (oddly), I find this reminds me of a soap my mom had when I was younger. It's like taking an early morning shower in the Spring after you've had a grapefruit for breakfast. Calming, yet refreshing.

The only citrusy scent I have ever loved right off the bat. Not too sharp; actually much softer than I anticipated. It is a refreshing little scent to catch a whiff of every few minutes..... not overbearing or loud at all. The salt and lemon shine through, and then at the tail end you get the soft floral notes. Considering a full bottle of this for summer as an alternative to all of the beachy coconut-y scents I have in my collection.

Wow! What a fraud! I got a sample from Sephora, absolutely loved it and purchased a full size one immediately. The longevity, the sillage completely differed from the sample one. I have no words. This never happened and I sincerely hope it was just me getting a bad batch but this never happened to me with other fragrances. Well. Buyers be aware!

This is so good just wish it lasted longer. I took a trip to Arizona/Las Vegas and Pink Canyon is the perfume I kept gravitating towards. The options I bought with me was DBIR, You, Light blue,Pink Canyon, Princess, and Kate Spade. Pink Canyon was sweet,fresh, and salty , it was perfect for the weather I just had to keep reapplying 😣😣

I absolutely love this! I got it two days ago and I love it. It is my first fragrance by this brand and I’ve wanted to try them out for a while now. This is a girly, light but not too light smell and I can’t say exactly what I smell from it but I love it. If you are into fresh, citrus types than you’ll like this! Win win in my books!

I want to wear this year round but it only work on skin chemistry during spring and summer. I wore this to my birthday trip to Vegas ( it was literally perfect weather for it) even my god daughter was telling me how good I smelt.

It's definitely very grapefruit at first, but then dries down to a really nice musk! After a few hours, very reminiscent of JHAG Not a Perfume. I wish the salt was a bit more forward. Glad I found a half bottle second-hand!

I was surprised to like this! Not usually into these types, but the grapefruit and pink salt is pretty and light. Unfortunately, I’ve found none of the Skylar perfumes that I’ve tried to last or project much.

This is primarily grapefruit, but not of the screechy, sharp variety. The (very slightly) powdery florals blunt the usual sting of citrus, resulting in something that is unquestionably grapefruit, but softer.

For me this is more of a layering perfume than something I would wear on its own. The salt and musk can turn a citrus fragrance that borders on too sweet or cloying into a more relaxed and complex scent.

I sprayed it just for fun✨ At first it was subtle, kinda light and floral 🌿... not overwhelming at all. By the time I walked out, it felt neutral and pleasant, like it could work for any day.

I didn't think I liked grapefruit notes until I smelled this one. So juicy fresh and has a depth I wasn't expecting. I would buy this again for sure.

Citrusy, fresh, watery. It smells clean but not fresh, musky but not heavy. It’s not the most complex or inspired but it is easy and pretty.

The dry down is where the magic is

Citrusy, aromatic, salty, woody, musky, white floral, powdery, herbal, marine, luminous, sparkling, natural On me this opens with sparkling grapefruit, zesty lemon, and aromatic sage. The heart blooms with slightly waxy and lemony magnolia, delicate lily-of-the-valley, and sweet and exotic Tiare flower. The dry down intertwines rich salt, sweetly woody cedar, soft musk, and warm golden amber. The notes that are the most prominent on me are the salt, sage, grapefruit, cedar, and musk. Overall, this is quite salty on me. In all honesty, this one just isn’t my taste. I don’t really like the opening, but I think the dry down is nicer. I only got it because it came as a free gift with a Skylar order. I do own several other Skylar fragrances including Boardwalk Delight (my favorite!), Caramel Alps (2nd fave), Vanilla Sky, Fall Cashmere, Coconut Cove, Nude Skin, Sweet Morningside, and Lime Sands (another free rollerball with an order, although I prefer it to Pink Canyon). This smells quite similar to Jo Malone Wood Sage & Sea Salt. i should’ve known i wouldn’t like this fragrance, because i don’t like citrus, but i thought i’d try this anyways. maybe my sample is old (3+ years?), but this really smells so dusty to me. dusty and woody, with a strong citrus. i really wouldn’t mind the dust and wood (i actually enjoy the wood), but the lemony-orange-grapefruit just ruins this for me. it smells like you found a fancy old wood cabinet at the thrift store, and when you brought it home you found an ancient bag of citrus cough drops in one of the drawers. it hasn’t been opened in years probably and you’re sure the cough drops would give you a citric acid burn if you tried to eat them now. not a bad smell on the whole and i wouldn’t mind if someone around me was wearing it but it’s not my style. longevity is good, but silage is moderate.

Your skin but better scent. Opens up with a burst of citrus but dries down into a woody musk. There’s a hint of creaminess in here but in a way... it’s dry? I guess like clay, so the Pink Canyon name suits the fragrance. It’s a tad bit sweet but mainly has a hint of saltiness in the woody musk base. If you like Glossier You, then this should be up your ally! (I despise Glossier You and personally I think this smells better.) Performs better on hot days (as do most Skylar Fragrances). Somehow nostalgic? Can see this being an easy-go lucky fragrance. I bought a travel size to try Skylar’s line and so far Boardwalk Delight is my favorite. Still waiting to try Lime Sand and Peach Fields. This one was a dud for me, but I tend to not gravitate to “your skin, but better” scents.

a salty/tangy grapefruit fragrance. the sharpness of the grapefruit is a bit pungent so mixing it with a vanilla can ensure a balance in the notes. as a previous review said, it smells like a summer scent that can easily disguise your sweat because of that initial saltiness you get from the fragrance. there is a ever so slight musk as you wear it and the zingy citrus does settle down. this will be used as more of a beach scent, not something I would want to wear in casual settings simply because I prefer depth. This not a complex/mature blend nor is it something intriguing/alluring.

Unfortunately, I don’t detect any grapefruit from this fragrance. It’s very synthetic to my nose, and this concoction is uninspired & dull. I know it’s very popular. I don’t think it’s awful, but it doesn’t truly resemble the combination of the notes listed, except for a hint of cedar & white flowers. Too bad bc it was highly recommended on a perfume forum I visit. I think it would be ok for layering with Lavanilla Vanilla Grapefruit or Fresh Hesperides. I got the travel roller-ball so it could also be fine for a freshen up.

it's a little too salty for me, i feel like it's lacking a sweetness to counteract that bitterness of the salt and grapefruit. i do think it is pretty tho and makes for a nice skin scent. it's definitely more masculine leaning imo and this is not something i see myself reaching for. something in it kind of gives off a coconut scent and i am not a fan of coconut so definitely test this out for yourself! i'd say if your looking for a more toned down, salty beachy fragrance then this one is a good bet.

In the opening, there is a short lived grapefruit note. But this is mainly cedar and musk. It feels kinda sharp to my nose but good sillage for about 3 hours. It fades pretty quickly after that though, total longevity is about 4-5 hours. Which I think is pretty typical for a warm weather type of scent. I'd say this leans slightly feminine. Overall this is too sharp and artificial for my nose.

Pink Canyon is all about the Cedar base note. Pungent but not annoying. After 5 hours the cedar mellowed and light creamy floral, musk, and amber came through close to the skin. I thought it to be more masculine on me and the first Skylar perfume I wouldn't consider buying. I wish I could smell the grapefruit and lemon like others do. It's worth another test just to be sure.

a very run-of-the-mill citrusy white floral, nothing earth shattering, although the aromatic aspects of sage, etc. are kinda nice and give it a more unisex edge despite the heady sweetness from the tiare and lily of the valley. i like the drydown a bit more than the initial application because the herbal notes meld more into the amber and salt, and the florals let up a bit.

Better than I expected. Definitely citrus, there’s also a bit of greenness to it but it’s not overwhelming. The saltiness helps balance it out and there is tad bit of sweetness to it. It can lean more stereotypically masculine though.

A clean, slightly woody citrus. Salty and astringent. Orange peels on concrete at a Gulf road stop on a breezy day. Pleasant enough on its own but doesn't quite click on my skin. Disappears in record time.

I like the citrus top note but I don’t love the musky note in this. It’s not as overpowering as other perfumes but lately I can’t get past this specific musky note when I smell it.

I now think tiare flower and I don't get along on my skin/body chemistry. This is the 2nd fragrance that I got a sample of that turns very sharp on me.... And they both have tiare flower in them. I have to overspray something else similar in scent to try to dull the sharpness, because you cannot scrub this off. It lasts and lasts dude! So if that particular flower works well with your body chemistry, then you will love this scent! It lasts all day on me, through hand washings and even a shower, Haha!
