Chile Vanilli

I'm testing on paper tonight, so I can test all 16 samples I received today. This reminds me of Andy Tauer's 01 Le Maroc Pour Elle even though the patch is the only similar note. The patchouli takes center stage here, but I really like how the vanilla "creamy's" it up. And yes, after letting the paper dry out a bit, I'm getting that cinnamon! This reminds me of Seattle's Pike Place Market. I described that market in my review of Tauer's 01... and the cinnamon in Brent's creation really does bring that sense memory back. I wonder how it would be if I oversprayed them onto each other... YUMMY! I like how you can pull the notes out as you smell this. I love being able to do that. It helps me understand what I like and do not like. And I also love how the blending of those individual notes is a creation unto itself. I'm gonna give his one a 10/10 for scent. Sillage and Longevity ratings will need to wait as I do a proper skin testing over a period of days. And with 16 samples... I'd say it'll be a while before I'm back to finish this one. Later: This really reminds me a lot of a cleaner, less "lazy" CK Obsession. Obsession is fat and rolley-polley (sp?) and sorta hangs around in a heavy cloud (which I LOVE LOVE LOVE btw)... where Chile Vanilli is brighter in the cinnamon aspects. It feels less heavy, and really, truth be told, makes me smile. A comfy scent, but almost like CK Obsession after a really healthy diet. Some may not find the CK Obsession relation at all. It's just my interpretation. I did end up ordering this in a FB, btw. Too yummy to pass up.

Scent - 10/10 Projection -8/10 Longevity -10/10 Value -10/10 Overall -38/40 When I got this sample I thought, "that might be alright". Boy was I wrong; it is AMAZING. I can't get over how good this juice smells. I definatly get a root beer accord with this. A*Men is in serious jeopardy of loosing its "signature sent" status with this one. It projects well, and I'm getting 10+ hours on my skin. Definitely gourmand, and I do see some similarities to A*Men in that sense, which might also explain the apparent love/hate relationship people will have with this one. If you like cinnamon, vanilla, and patchouli, this is worth every penny.

anche questo è un accordo che gioca sull'ironia, e ci riesce benissimo unendo vaniglia, cannella e patchouli. non si tratta di qualcosa di particolarmente complesso, anzi, direi che il profumo è lineare, ma ben costruito. l'effetto complessivo è quello di una fragranza speziata e orientale, con note gourmand che ricordano fortemente il tè chai. le prime note sono di cannella. poi comincia a venir fuori la vaniglia che non è stucchevole, tutt'altro, è una vaniglia bourbon resa ancora più aromatica dal patchouli del fondo. molto buono!

Wonderful combination of patchouli, cinnamon, and vanilla! Sweet and spicy! Just a great scent in the winter time, my three favorites all in one! :) Definitely need to get a full bottle of this!

Really love this! I'm a freak for amber and the amber is apparent right away. I don't get the vanilla but that's fine by me. I got this as a sample but will be buying a full size.
