Coco Shimmy

When I first wore this, I got a very pineapple forward sunscreen scent followed by the beachy surf wax. A few hours into wearing Coco Shimmy, I went to the gym and kept getting this sexy rich tonka scent. And I was going crazy trying to figure out where it was coming from. It was me. And it was this perfume. I am in love with the dry down in coco shimmy. The opening is nice, but it’s a typical sunscreen scent. The surf wax in the mid is very realistic, but the dry down is a beautiful, warm tonka, that is a tad nutty, a tad creamy, and very alluring. This is a sunscreen scent, it’s nothing groundbreaking but it’s well executed. And the performance is excellent for edu de toilette. I get about five hours of wear with a lovely scent trail. The projection is intimate but you still smell her presence. Coco Shimmy is very similar to Vacation. But instead of the bathing suit latex, Coco Shimmy has surf wax. Vacation is 1995 and Coco Shimmy is 2025. She is also very similar to BBW Meet Me in Miami. But Meet Me in Miami leaves a plasticky smell on my skin. I don’t have that problem with Coco Shimmy. It’s like shimmy takes the typical sunscreen scent, gets rid of the negatives, and dials up the sexiness. I just love it. The only reason that it’s not a 10/10 is because I can’t wear it this year round. It is very seasonal, so a 9/10 For laying try the following: Sniff Coco Shimmy and Killian’s Sun Kissed Goddess. Smells like pricey tanning oil. Sniff Coco Shimmy and Sol De Janeiro 62. Makes me think of pool parties and the last day of Summer.

YES yes yes. this is so good if you're looking for that "sex wax" surf wax scent. i'm socal native so i am all too familiar with sex wax candles, bars of it left in your car to make it smell good, etc. this opens pretty brightly with the pineapple, sour tangy sweet. it softens a lot which i appreciate, as i'm pretty much only here for the coconut/wax/warmth/sandy vibe. it's very nostalgic, like smelling a dress you wore to the beach the day before... sunscreeny, a little salty, that tell-tale unplaceable "beach" smell. sand?? idk. anyway i overspray the F*CK out of this. 3 sprays across the chest, one on each arm, clothes on, then 3 more sprays. clothes hold this scent really really well. everyone in my office makes comments about knowing i'm at work because they smell the perfume before they see me, and this one is a crowd pleaser. this is ALMOST a perfect scent for me (i've been hunting tropical/solar fragrances all year), i just wish there was maybe a white floral or frangipani in here to make it more heady. the price is right when you can get 2 bottles for the same cost as 1 bottle of "high end" fragrance. now go forth and smell like a delicious waxy sandy coconut!!!

I finally smelled sniff coco shimmy. It’s wonderful. Sweet, fruity and tropical. It does have a hint of sunscreen but the smell of the sunscreen accord and the fact that it’s very little actually gives me nostalgia instead of screechy sunscreen scent. This is a summer drink scent with an hint of nostalgic sunscreen and not a sunscreen scent. If you want a nostalgic sunscreen scent with a hint of poolside drink vibe (basically the reverse) get Vacation from Arquiste. I do wish Coco Shimmy was slightly more creamy, the way Akro Rise is creamy. However this is much sweeter and the fact that it’s fruitier/sweeter makes me like this more than Akro rise. It also reminds me of Kajal Kolada but Kolada lacks the nostalgic sunscreen note.

Snif Coco Shimmy is the ultimate fun, summery scent! My friend let me sample it, and I was immediately hit with fresh, not synthetic, pineapple. It was like I was standing on a beach, the sun warming my skin. As it settled, a creamy coconut note came through, almost like tropical sunscreen, but in a way that’s surprisingly pleasant—not at all overpowering. Being from a beach town, this scent is pure nostalgia. It’s exactly what I imagined surf shops and Margaritaville smelled like when I was a kid. I absolutely loved it. It’s a scent that brings me back to those carefree days, and it lasts for hours. Even now, my paper still carries that coconutty, surf wax vibe. It’s amazing and a perfect reminder of home.

Look if you like coconut and fruit scents, and perhaps the smell of yummy sunscreens this is your girl. I can totally understand that its intense beauty smell might not be for everyone but Coco Shimmy has been one of my favorite perfumes for a while now. The coconut is so soft and smooth and the pineapple just creeps in gorgeously, and in my opinion one of the strongest notes, and it just dries on my skin so gorgeously over my bath and body works shea and honey lotion or my tree hut coco colada lotion. It's giving beach and sunblock under the California sun, I love it and think you should at least smell test it at Ulta.

This is a compliment getter & good for the heat! I don't normally gravitate toward pineapple scents, but it's well blended with the other notes in my opinion. The pineapple doesn't stand out as too screechy or juvenile. This is not a groundbreaking fragrance but it's really pleasant and slightly addictive. I can't stop sniffing my skin! Intimate to moderate projection. It's kinda like "your skin but better" with a sweet coconut twist. The tonka bean in the base is a nice touch. I think it could be an easy reach, effortless summer scent. Lasted over 6 hours.

I tried Coco Shimmy with Snif's sample set. I wasn't a huge fan of it at first, as I normally stay away from anything too tropical. However, I grew to love this scent as I continued to wear it. Throughout the day it settled into a comforting fragrance that reminded me of childhood summers at the beach. I layered it with SDJ's Cheirosa 62 which gave it some more warmth. I ended up buying the full-size bottle because I could not stop thinking about it once my sample ran out. I received many compliments while wearing this and definitely recommend.

This is nostalgia in a bottle. Opening scent is a soft coconut and fresh pineapple. As it sits, it evolves into what I consider to be the smell of summer in the early 2000s. Like every beach shop, surf shop, or heck, even Kohl's in the middle of July. Fake coconut, surf wax, sunscreen, warm plastic, and sun. I get why a lot of folks don't like it, that's a scent profile that isn't exactly fresh or riveting. But the nostalgia factor makes it a win for me as it makes me feel like a kid again. Happy memories.

This was my favorite of all the snif fragrances I tried today. Sweet pineapple, subtle coconut and the nostalgic smell of suntan lotion and surf wax. I’ve ALWAYS loved the smell of surf wax, so I might be biased to this fragrance, but it really does smell good. Light and refreshing ,not too heavy or serious. Perfect for sunny days, a beach or boardwalk fragrance. Smells like memories. I’ll probably get a bottle for this coming summer.

Yum! Sitting on the beach in the morning and you order a pineapple juice. Freshly juiced and a little drips on your skin after applying a lightly coconut scented sunscreen. As it dries down you can start to smell the tonka and a slight waxy note. I love it. I used 12 sprays and I got about 6 hours before it disappeared. It is pretty intimate but I don't mind. I would absolutely repurchase this.

Snifs summer edition of a sunscreen centered fragrance. I love the way the pineapple smells in this fragrance - usually the PA is overbearing or overripe but not here. Nice, simple, summer fragrance; white floral and coconut > mix until you reach a creamy sunscreen vibe - then add a pinch of PINEAPPLE < in a gorilla voice for some reason. IN GENERAL - SNIF FRAGRANCES ARE EASY REACHES.

My first snif perfume. I am definitely enjoying it. I’ve heard mixed reviews about longevity from snif but this one does pretty dang good. It’s a perfect summer smell. Sunscreeny but not too much so, love the pineapple note. I chose this at Ulta over several other higher priced summer-geared perfumes.

Coco Shimmy smells so delicious but the coconut is not the star of the show here. It’s heavy on pineapple which I love. To my nose it smells a lot like Saltair’s Golden Hour body wash. So if you are looking for something to pair with that body wash THIS is it!

Such a yummy, creamy coconut scent. Got compliments on it. Yes it’s sunscreeny but very well done and blended and nostalgic. You also get that pineapple on the opening. If you like piña coladas (and getting caught in the rain 🎶) this one’s for you 🍍🥥🧴🏄♀️🌴🌞

perfect summertime perfume. smelled it once and fell in love with it. big fan of perfumes/body sprays that have sun tan lotion notes. lasts pretty long on clothing and a big compliment getter for me. i layer it with a few other summery scents.

How fun!! This is a great coconut summery scent. Fresh out of the ocean, sand on your body, mermaid-esk, vanilla vibe. Full bottle worthy for sure! Snif never disappoints! Really you can wear it all year round.

I love sweet perfumes and this does not disappoint. it's the most perfect coconut beach island not-a-care-in-the-world type fragrance. this will be worn a lot this upcoming summer 2025.

Nice easy wear piña colada scent. 🍍🥥🌴 Nothing too sweet or heavy. Smells a LOT like Akro's Rise.

I grew up in Florida not too far from the beach, and when I smell this, I smell a beach day, minus the beach itself. I smell seaside beach shop, selling bikinis for ungodly prices. I smell my sister's Sex Wax car air freshener. I smell nostalgia in a bottle. I can't say this is one I'm gonna reach for consistently, but it's a very playful scent that will definitely make you think of the beach, but not the beach itself. It's all the artificial fragrances people tend to associate with the beach. I'm getting the sunscreen, the surf wax, the pineapple, the coconut... all of it. And it's delicious! I associate it with youthfulness and something just out of reach, not quite real... (those beach property prices are INSANE, lol) I suppose my only gripe with this is that it only works for such a specific scenario: a summer day. And I live in Michigan now. Maybe if I still lived in Florida, I'd wear this more, have more ideas on where I can smell like this... but it doesn't make sense in the cold suburbs. I'll come back to it when I want to mentally visit home, though. No doubt about that.

Ooooh yes!! This is fun. It's a sweet, super creamy coconutty opening with a pina colada zing! Smooooth, suntan lotion-y, solar sweetness (doesn't really smell like tonka, but rather soft vanilla). It's one of those perfumes that you can bet on smelling exactly how it does, if I were to read the notes online I would anticipate it smelling exactly this way, no surprises. It's a safe blind buy if you like this sort of thing. Performs well, longevity is solid and it kicks out a trail for a few feet. I adore fall, but this encapsulates all of the familiar, comforting things we come to expect from summer. It almost makes me want summer to last longer. And that's just it really...it's quite generic and expected. However, executed extremely well. A tropical, summer lover's dream 🍹🥥🌴

Very realistic pineapple sweet/tart note with coconut, a lot of surf wax and a little sunscreen with some tonka and sandalwood in there somewhere (I guess). Mostly pineapple and surf wax/coconut stands out to me. I really love the way this works with my skin but unfortunately it doesn't have great lasting power. I'd say 3 hours, tops and thats a shame because vanilla vice is twice that. Not a safe blind buy if you don't like sweet pineapple sunscreen scents. Mostly work safe, I layered this with Ellis Brooklyn Miami Nectar and it worked very well fwiw. Wish this lasted longer so it's a like from me, not a love. Hope it macerates. Purchased from: Ulta

You live in a beach town, and this smells like your hot boyfriend in the Coast Guard all sweaty after his shift on a boat. Smells dirty sexy, but he could still use a shower before you guys go out. It has a hint of metal also. This is not your typical beachy, fruity, sweet vacation scent. IMO it leans more masculine. I do appreciate that the sunscreen note doesn't come across synthetic. It's nicely put together. I soOo wanted to love this. I actually like it. It's a little odd, but I'm okay with it. Again, it's a like, not a love. It's an acquired scent. Hope this helps ツ

Like a lot of snif's offerings, I really enjoy the opening notes of this fragrance - bright coconut and pineapple! The surf wax and suntan lotion notes that appear after about half an hour or so really got me feeling nostalgic, I feel biased in my review! As someone who's new to fragrance, I feel like this is the first scent where I can properly smell all of the notes listed and how they evolve over time. The sandalwood and tonka really balance out the suntan lotion and wax scent, though they still lingered on my skin for a good while. Can't wait to wear in summer!

I like this a lot so far. I bought it after smelling it once at Ulta. At first it's a really nice pineapple, then after a couple minutes it smells like a slightly unnatural coconut-plasticy smell? I think that's the wax or the sunscreen in it. After a while it mellows out into a nice comfortable fruity coconut smell. New to fragrances, and on my skin this is definitely the most noticeably lactonic scent I've used/liked. I also like how it's not too sweet smelling for a coconut scent. It's not my favorite ever, but pretty good.

The smell of the gimmicky surf shops you find in beach side vacation towns. A little artificial, unsophisticated, but fun and unapologetically summery. The smell of coconut and surf wax are the most prominent through out, the opening is sweet but not cloying. The dry down I think could be pretty divisive, the coconut turns very creamy and the waxiness becomes heavy and kind of sharp. The opening leans feminine, the dry down could work pretty well on the right man. I love this layered with Hawaiian Tropic sunscreen!

This is a perfect fragrance for very hot weather, particularly if you're going to the beach. This is absolutely not a refined, serious fragrance by any means. The opening is acidic with the pineapple and almost synthetic. On my skin the dry-down is surprisingly beautiful, although linear with the sandalwood and tonka bean, slightly sweet but overall relaxing. I love that I don't feel like I need to baby my bottle, it goes into the beach bag and sits with me in the high heat. It fits right in on the Jersey shore.

I want to love this perfume so, so much because it is literally the perfect daytime, summer, beachy, fruity, warm scent BUT for the price of the bottle, it's simply not worth it because it literally lasts less than an hour on my skin and clothes. I had an entire bottle when it first came out, but I found myself over spraying it in an attempt to make it last and I literally went through the entire bottle in one summer. Not worth my time or money, even though the scent is fantastic.

I really like this scent. It’s a piña colada after you’ve taken a shower. My bf described it as freshly laundered clothes with piña colada and he’s right ! Not too syrupy but still very sweet. The projection is non existent for me. It last moderately but doesn’t project well. And maybe it’s my gourmand loving brain but after a few hours it turns a little musky and masculine on me? Like it still smells pineapplely but in a less sweet more unisex vibes. Lovely scent but not for me

I have both this and Miami Nectar and they smell very similar. Not dupes for each other but I don't know how anyone with a nose could say they do not smell alike. They smell like piña coladas, plain and simple. Tropical and sweet. I give decants of these to my family when they go on vacation. You technically could wear this anytime you want if smelling tropical is your thing but smelling like this anywhere but on a sunny beach feels a little misappropriated imo.

A really fun , summery beachy coconut with a warm tone. Definitely gives vacation summer vibes. If you love Tom Ford sol blanc , or any BBWorks coconut mists , you wont mind this. Glad i got this discounted which is great for a simple summer staple. I blend this with Michel Germain Sugarful Sunshine , BBW Coconut Colada mist and Coconut pineapple mist, and it layers so well with these. try it!

Quite an enjoyable sunscreen coconut scent, perhaps my favorite of the genre. The pineapple on the top blends well into the fragrance and brings a fun summery piña colada opening to the sunscreen base. It’s pretty unchallenging and straightforward. If you have one of these fragrances you don’t need another, but this might be the one to check out.

This is the one that I liked the most from the bestseller set. Coconut and pineapple seaside wonderfulness. Nothing challenging, realistic, or particularly mature here, but it smells so nostalgic and I'm definitely a bit biased due to how much I like pineapple.

This is nice. It is similar to vacation by vacation but I would def choose this one over the latter. Laconic coconut forward scent with juicy pineapple 🍍 smells like the yellow starburst from the tropical pack

Every time I wear this I want to love it more than I actually do. I am guessing I'm trying to force it to work in situations where it doesn't, and this should fully be reserved for wearing from May-Aug (Northern hemisphere) when it's actually hot. It is coconut and it has the mineral creaminess of sunscreen but rather than being the deep, rich scent of the sunscreen of your childhood, it's more like the thin recreation of it when you're 22 and trying to buy the generic drugstore brand because it's cheaper and you're giving it a sniff test in the white linoleum tile aisle of CVS under those awful fluorescent lights and it's so close but falls disappointingly short. I think the wax note sort of cheapens it and the pineapple makes it just a little too fruity. It's like it can't decide if it wants to emulate sunscreen or a Pina Colada (I can't get the tilde on my keyboard, you know what I mean). No matter how many times I wear it, it doesn't hit as hard as I want it to. It's exactly the notes it says on the tin, but the sum of the parts just isn't enough.

so nostalgic and summery. didn’t expect this to be my favorite from snif’s best seller set as i’m not a huge coconut fan, but the coconut here is more beachy than tropical, and apparently that works for me. it’s giving more coconut milk and less coconut smoothie. i don’t see myself purchasing a full size, but i’ll hold on to my sample for beachy summer days. the snif samples are glass, pleasantly weighty, and have a great atomizer compared to other samples.

I'm looking for a creamy, milky, slightly tangy/tart, sugary sweet coconut. This was just another basic beachy tropical fruity scent, and very fleeting. I feel like all of these perfumes smell exactly the same. The best in this category to me are Beach Walk and Tom Ford Soleil Blanc, which lean more suntan lotion/floral. Kilian Sunkissed Goddess is exceptional, but I don't know if you need to pay that much for this kind of profile.

I agree with others that the artificial coconut does not sit well with me. I also can smell the pineapple notes. The middle part where it starts to get plastic-y is not good. I am surprised this is considered a best seller by Snif. The dry down of this is okay / tolerable ... but this is certainly not my type of fragrance.

Smells exactly like BBW Coconut Pineapple. It's ultra sweet and fruity. While it's a fun fragrance I think plenty of people would enjoy for summer, this is a pretty basic concept for what you are paying for. Regarding the "reminds me of" -- this is far more syrupy and lacks the subtle patchouli nuances of Angel Iced Star.

Coconut tanning oil and sweet pineapple juice- yummy! Great for layering/sweetening up more unisex/masculine fragrances, and when worn alone it gives the vibe that you’ve just run inside after enjoying your tropical resort vacation.

A nice, sweet coconut that smells just like sun bum sunscreen. Which is wonderful, as sun bum smells really good. Butter is generic, and I have seen it before. Nothing special unless you want a pleasant, generic coconut.

This is sunscreen, sunscreen, sunscreen. To be fair, it's very hard to make coconut/pineapple NOT smell like sunscreen. If tropical sunscreen is your vibe - I love it for you! But for me, I do not love it.

At first, straight up pina colada, then it starts smelling like sunscreen with a pina colada scent. I imagine wearing this to a beach club is a perfect fit.
