Heal the Way by Alex Elle

So Heal the Way surprised the HELL out of me. While I recently started my SNIF journey and am slowly building my collection of scents from them, I had actually grabbed a bottle of Gentle Reminder first because I thought the milky, calm vibe would come through in the best way. WRONG. Easily one of—if not the most—disgusting fragrances I’ve ever smelled. On my skin, it was sour, sharp, and honestly kind of nauseating. Because of that experience, I avoided Heal the Way for a while since so many people say the two are similar or share the same milky DNA. Well... I finally got a sample of Heal the Way, sprayed it on while mentally preparing to hate it, and... WHAT?! This is AMAZING. Completely different experience for me. This is one of the most well-blended, soft, milky, earthy, sweet pistachio-vanilla scents I’ve smelled in a long time. Everything about it feels smooth and comforting rather than heavy or sour. The pistachio note gives it this subtle nutty warmth, the vanilla keeps it creamy and sweet without being sugary, and there’s this clean, musky softness in the background that ties everything together. What surprised me most is how calming it feels. It genuinely gives off this cozy, relaxed energy that makes it super easy to wear. It’s the kind of scent you could reach for daily without getting tired of it, but it still feels special and unique enough to stand out. It’s soft but noticeable, comforting but still interesting. Longevity on my skin has also been great. I get several hours of wear, and it leaves this gentle creamy trail that people around you will notice in a really pleasant way. Needless to say, I immediately grabbed a full-size bottle after finishing my sample, and I have zero regrets. This is easily one of SNIF’s best releases in my opinion—smooth, addictive, comforting, and just incredibly enjoyable to wear. A total win.

At first spray, nothing really stood out to me and I thought it was almost a boring scent. I didn't pick it back up until 5 days later. Then boom - something changed and I was hit with immediate ethereal feels. I keep putting my hand to my nose wanting to fully bask in the scent, it's so intoxicating. I imagine a moody fairy, nonchalant and chill, curled up on a tree wearing a cashmere sweater and listening to The XX on a foggy day. So specific lol, but that's literally the imagine this scent draws for me. As for the profile, it's very creamy and woody. The palo santo and pistachio are soo prominent. Very vanilla forward, in the best, best way possible. Someone told me I smell sweet, but to me this is also soo woody, like a fresh piece of palo santo delicately halfway dipped into vanilla cream. It's straightforward, but so complex, definitely one of the most interesting scents I've experienced. I disagree with the Reminds-Me-Of section including Gentle Reminder, to me they are so different, but both very worthy of experiencing. Signature-scent worthy, plus it stays on clothes for days! 9.8/10

this is it- my favourite scent of all time !!!! I ofc took the healing stuff with a pinch of salt as marketing shtick but can confidently say, when I spray this, I am calmed and soothed. The pistachio, davana and palo santo give it a gorgeous green herbal facet but it remains a light, green, woody, vanilla-forward gourmand. I often find nutty notes too rich/toasted/rounded in smell but the pistachio here is velvety and not dense or synthetic pistachio ice cream like many pistachio notes: so unique and unlike anything I’ve tried. Also migraine-friendly for me, so perfect for scratching the gourmand itch without being cloying or nauseating. I love it so much, it’s hard to get in the UK so I tried basically every alternative in existence, but ended up getting four bottles as I fear I will SPIRAL if I ever run out🥲 like getting into the comfiest fancy hotel bed in my plush robe after a day of spa treatments, feeling refreshed and relaxed and ready to handle life <333

Wowza. This is so good. Opens with a creamy, sweet whipped pistachio vanilla. Nutty, cozy, comfy. It begins to lean into a smoky wood (which is the palo santo). What I absolutely love about Palo Santo is its longevity. It really sticks to skin and clothes. Palo Santo reminds me of my father smoking a pipe. Crisp mornings and rich tobacco. Not saying this smells like tobacco, but this fragrance just feels so nostalgic. The pistachio vanilla cream keeps this sweet, feminine and ethereal. Its clean, its comforting, its peaceful. This fragrance is such an easy reach. I mean look at the reviews below - this one is loved by so many and it definitely deserves all its praise! I will absolutely be buying a backup bottle or two. Alex Elle you nailed this!

This fragrance doesn't evoke anything specific or develop in any interesting ways but it's a solid gourmand. The pistachio is creamy, the musk is warm and soft with a cashmere like quality to it, the vanilla does lean a little more synthetic. Like a cheaper imitation rather than straight vanilla beans. Overall it's so cozy and yummy. A lot of pistachio forward fragrances tend to be very sugar sweet and dessert-y and this one doesn't stray that far from a milky nuttiness. I'm not getting a toothache from it. Reminds me of my pistachio latte phase. If I end up draining my sample spray soon I'll for sure be getting the full bottle. It lasted a good 8 hours on me with a consistent creamy pistachio and that's all I've ever wanted so I'm thrilled.

I never really understood the concept of a "comforting" fragrance, unless it was in some way nostalgic, until I smelled this one. It works on me the way anti-anxiety plug-ins work on pets. I don't typically go for sweet perfumes, and I often find nutty notes overwhelming, so I wasn't expecting to care for Heal the Way. Holy cow. It is sweet, but it's done in a really well-balanced way, and nothing is overwhelming about it at all. It's technically not a "night-wear" scent, but I've been wearing it in the evening after I get out of the shower because it's so cozy and calming. I can still smell it in the morning after I do this, so I'd say it has a good 8-10 hours of life on the skin if you spray enough (I do 4-5 sprays total).

I do like the Kayali pistachio but the strongest notes I get from that one comes off too sudsy soapy on me. This one is what I wanted from Yum Pistachio initially. It’s less sweet BUT more vanilla forward. Still gourmand, just not as synthetic and cloying as some other pistachio ice creamy perfumes. I think anyone that went into the kayali expecting one thing and getting another, this was the thing they were looking for. It doesn’t project as much as that one and is a lot closer to the skin but in my opinion it’s a lot more pleasant and realistic. I have a feeling that after this sits for a while it’ll become waaaay stronger. Definitely one of my new favorite gourmands Edit: I’m allergic 🙃

This is a beautiful earthy but kinda ethereal fragrance imo. sadly it doesn't last on me more than a few hours, so whilst it's a good value price wise; it becomes untenable if i have to constantly re spray. i'm one of those crazies who has to smell it herself. all day. every day. lol. it is really well put together as a blend - i get the pistachio and a very faint palo santo. palo itself can be challenging to work with - i work with essential oils daily and am a big palo fan - it's not for everyone. i love it's depth and woodiness. i make a spray for our massage therapy room with palo and some citrus and it's a big hit. i wish heal the way lasted longer on my skin and clothes. : (

Wow I was immediately blown away from the creaminess and comfort of this scent. It really smells like a creamy vanilla ice cream but there is a depth from the paleo santo that gives it an ethereal essence. The nuttiness blends in very well and gives it that creamy slightly sharp quality. There’s the davana at the end that adds a little herbal trail in the end. It’s soft and definitely doesn’t come off as offensive at all. I think this is a great everyday wear and is really something that sticks out among all the vanilla gourmands yet is so familiar that I feel like others will feel at home with this as well. Try ir for yourself! I am going to buy a full sized bottle asap! 💕

This is so lovely—I have to stop myself from spraying it too much because I just know I’m going to burn through this 30mL bottle fast. Heal the Way opens with pistachio and palo santo, which is an unexpectedly pretty and warm combination, and then moves into a sweet, creamy, vanillic drydown that actually reminds me quite a bit of Bianco Latte. It’s a very comforting scent, dreamy and sweet. I get 8+ hours of wear from this, and enjoy every one of them. I don’t know who Alex Elle is, but this is by far my favorite Snif perfume I have tried yet. I will definitely be buying another bottle when I’m through with this. I’m giving it an 8/10.

Today I'm revisiting my travel-size bottle of Heal the Way for the first time in nearly a year. I must admit I didn't like this scent at all when I first purchased it. It was a nondescript smokey vanilla, and the pistachio note was barely detectable at the time. The juice is now a deep yellow, and the pistachio note is front and center! It's a powdery, toasty and earthy pistachio though, rather than an edible pistachio, i.e. it's more similar to Kayali's Pistachio vs. SDJ's pistachio, but far superior to the former IMO. Either way, Heal the Way went from an "okay" to a "love!" :)

I don't get much palo santo (for that, try De Los Santos from Byredo or Palo Santo & Sage by Frenshe) but I do get the 'hug' feeling from a woody vanilla with pistachio flair. There is a little too much davana in the opening for me, but once that dies down, this is what I expected from Yum Pistachio by Kayali: creamy pistachio gelato with refinement. The longevity is mid (like all Snif scents) but this is more of a 'night in' or 'coffee date' scent that creates a little cloud around you. I'm so glad I have this one in my collection when I want to smell like ice cream!

This is the most comforting perfume I’ve ever smelled!!! The pistachio and palo santo lend this beautiful creaminess to the vanilla, which isn’t too sweet. I got a sample of this and immediately got a full bottle, and I’m going to make sure I have a small decant in all my purses so I can have it for unexpected stressful situations haha. Also surprisingly this projects and lasts pretty long on me — 4+ hours. I sprayed once on my hand and my boyfriend immediately commented on how clean and creamy I smelled when I got in the car.

Whoa, I was not expecting this. This is incredible. I brought this for the creator, Alex Elle whom I adore, & I love the messaging behind this fragrance. A perfume that can be used as a ritual, that reminds you, you are worthy. This does feel like a warm hug, It’s sweet and comforting, yet still feels refined with the touch of Palo Santo. I love getting compliments on my fragrances,(and I was asked what perfume I’m wearing many times the day I wore this) but this is one that I genuinely enjoyed wearing for myself.

I’m on my third bottle of this fragrance. The palo santo, vanilla and pistachio combo really is comforting to me and it has become my go-to bedtime scent. The palo santo is prominent in the early stages of the wear, but when I get up in the morning I can still smell the vanilla on my skin. That’s pretty impressive to me for such an affordable fragrance. Hopefully this stays in production for a long time, because it’s such an enjoyable and relaxing part of my bedtime routine now & I don’t want to be without it.

I really like this new Snif release and I was in need of some healing due to losing 2 family members in the recent year. This is similar to Kayali yum pistachio when Yum has completely dried down and you layered a pinch of Kayali vanilla 28 which has settled down to its base. I feel this is a sweeter refined version of Yum without the soapy note. Its ok to own both depending on your skin preference. I like both but its definitely less nutty soapy than YUM. This is alot more creamy vanilla pistachio. 10/10

I love this scent, but I never would’ve bought it if I’d known it was an EDT. It just doesn’t last very long. I mostly use it as a bedtime fragrance or when I’m lounging at home because it doesn’t have the staying power to wear out. I had no idea Snif only makes EDTs. They have great scents, but I’m not willing to pay that price for something with only a 10% oil concentration or less. Unfortunately, this will be my last bottle from the brand. Other than that, this is a warm, comforting, and cozy scent.

My favorite from the Snif fragrance sampler I received. This is creamy and lactonic without turning sour on me. Sweet and cozy with some nuttiness which is subtle enough that I love it even though nuttiness (though particularly almond) I sometimes find challenging. The palo santo is also a nice touch to slightly complicate the fragrance. This is somehow simultaneously a more palatable vanilla from Snif than Vanilla Vice, and also less teen body spray. I’m considering buying a bottle.

I am praying this becomes a part of Snif’s permanent collection, it has so quickly become an all time favorite fragrance. This scent is cozy and warm but also a little sultry. It’s everything I wanted out of Pistachio by DS & Durga! I’ve seen people describe it as a warm hug which is completely accurate. It’s creamy, nutty, and lightly gourmand which I usually don’t love but the sweetness is offset by the palo santo. It’s so comforting but as I mentioned I find it kind of sexy too.

This is the coziest, creamiest pistachio scent I've come across in my fragrance journey. Absolutely stunning. I can't say much here that hasn't already been said below: each note makes itself known, but they blend seamlessly together into something soothing and nostalgic. The ambery palo santo that this settles into is heavenly. I got the mini set with Heal The Way and Gentle Reminder, but I want a full size of this one; I can tell I'm gonna tear through those 10 milliliters, lol.

It’s not a summer fragrance but I like wearing pistachios when I feel like I can. This smells pretty, sweet, woody, and comforting. Yum by Kayali and Pistachio Please are going to be more warm weather friendly but this is nice in its sweet woody way. You pick up on the vanilla and amber well but I was surprised to not see a yellow floral. Maybe it was the davana I smelled. It also has great longevity, which should have been my first clue that there were no yellow florals lol

i can’t get enough of this perfume! it’s my perfect vanilla - just sweet enough and creamy, with just a hint of woodiness from the palo santo and nuttiness from the pistachio. so comforting and relaxing and interesting, different notes often stand out at different times i’m wearing it and it’s always delightful. my go to sleep perfume, and go to for fall and winter days, a little too intense for hot austin summer days but so are all of my favorites.

i've tried several pistachio fragrances and hated each and every one (yum pistachio was disappointing in my opinion). heal the way was done beautifully. there's a note in this that gives me banana, and i believe it's the davana (i'm dr suess). i heard davana is supposed to smell different to everyone. that along with the pistachio and vanilla gives off this creaminess, almost similar to ice cream. i love it! honestly this is snif's best.

Indulgent pistachio creme, vanilla, and Palo Santo. It’s creamy, sweet and cozy, and it lingers - wrapping you in decadent warmth. Everything in here is perfectly done, and even the inspiration for the fragrance is beautiful, when I got the package, it was wrapped so cute I didn’t even want to open it.. I went back and got one for my friend as a just because gift, and she thought I put so much effort into wrapping it.

This was love at first sniff for me. Heal the Way smells like soft pistachio and vanilla ice cream topped with fluffy whip cream. So delicious and cozy—I love it so much!! I do smell the resemblance to Yum pistachio gelato by Kayali but Yum pistachio has a sharpness and freshness to it while Heal the Way is creamy and soft. It’s definitely gourmand but not overly sweet and is extremely well blended.

This is so beautiful. A pillowy, comforting vanilla. Prodominantly sweet, but airy, with just the right amount of woodiness. My nose interprets this as (non pickley) sandalwood but it must be the palo santo. Great for those who prefer gourmands but want something a bit more relaxed and elevated for day to day (still casual, though-- this is a jeans and a sweater type of scent).

Snif has been knocking it out the park this year. The Palo Santo lends a subtle smokiness to the pistachio and vanilla that keeps this from being overly gourmand. I'd consider this as a signature scent if I ever went that route. It's not bold or flirty, but it's a comforting easy reach. Kinda reminiscent of SOL Cheirosa ’62, yet more elevated, refined, and longlasting.

heal the way is a mystic and delicious blend of palo santo and vanilla pistachio cream. with just a dash of musk and amber to deepen the experience for each user it brings to mind a bright summery day on a patio with melted ice cream and calcite crystals sparkling in the sun. it evokes feelings of serenity, nostalgia, and unconditional love 9/10

Omfg @mickaroon hit the nail on the head! I was trying to figure out what this reminded me of & it is my FAVORITE scented Drybar product ever. It's like that had a love child with kayali yum pistachio gelato. It's really beautiful & it settles into a warm, cozy, skin scent. Love this scent! The packaging it came in makes it even more special :)

So far my top pick from Snif! I love how comforting & sweet this is. It's an easy fragrance that's not too cloying. It's warm, cozy, and personally I'd wear it any time of the day! Projection wise it's not that good, so I don't get as much complements as it's quite an intimate scent, but I personally enjoy it! I'd get a full bottle next time!

LOVE this. I ordered Coco Shimmy from Snif and got a sample of Heal the Way. My boyfriend and I both love it. It’s so creamy and sweet, while also having a nice balance of a soothing warm spice. I can’t wait to order a bottle once it’s back in stock. It reminds me a bit of the Watergate salad my grandma used to make

The opening is like really creamy pistachio, like the pistachio ice cream you can get in Paris. The dry down settles into a nice vanilla with the pistachio becoming more subtle. This feels comforting and smells delicious. I don't personally think that the fragrance suits me, but I can certainly see its appeal.

i’m mildly obsessed with this scent. at first it’s heavy on the pistachio and vanilla notes, but the dry down is all palo santo. it’s a woody, nutty gourmand that lasts surprisingly long. it’s a cozy scent that i think will wear perfectly during the fall months (but is delightful enough to wear year round).

I bought a travel size of both Alex Elle fragrances and though I was expecting Gentle Reminder to be the one I fell in love with, I absolutely love Heal The Way and will be purchasing a full size! Everything I love! It’s cozy, creamy, à touch of gourmand and woods. Perfect cozy cold weather scent.

WAY Better than yum pistachio gelato by Kayali!! This is beautiful, especially for this season. I love these scent profiles in fall! I blind bought this off the notes and I have absolutely no regrets! Yummy creamy vanilla woods fragrance... with a tiny bit of nuttiness. Just so comforting!

Lately this had become my easy reach especially for work. From a like to a comforting love w a hug. I heart u Health-Well < I'm not sure why I can't remember the name but I literally can not and usually just call it health by snif. Anyway - this is fluffy nutty cozy good good. SERENITY

this fragrance made me take back every bad thing ive ever said about snif. i doubt i will ever find a better pistachio scent. this is so cozy and comforting. it just feels so peaceful to wear. the palo santo is to die for. ive been wearing it to bed for a few weeks and im so in love!

the palo santo and davana hit HARD when you first spray this scent; however, it dries down to a really yummy pistachio/vanilla that is balanced so well by the other notes. i get so many compliments whenever i wear htw and it has quickly become my signature winter scent... 10/10!

This is one of my favorite Snif fragrances so far. Not sure about the performance though. Still testing that. Update: I like the smoky creaminess of this one, but, like all Snif fragrances, this one seems a bit weak vs. what I’m seeking in terms of sillage and performance.

I was so surprised by this. When you first spray it, it will smell kind of sharp and artificial, but give it half an hour and it becomes the best pistachio fragrance I've ever smelled. The longevity is also insane for an eau de toilette. I could smell this all day.

It doesn’t much smell like I expected, maybe it’s the davana? And not getting very much pistachio, but I concur that it’s soft, fluffy, cozy, creamy. I get a lot of palo santo and vanilla from it. I’m glad I finally went ahead and bought it.

I got a sample of this and loved it. I can smell the pistachio and palo santo I find it creamy and beautiful. It's also very different from my other pistachio perfume, Khair pistachio. My only problem is I can't get a bottle in Australia :(

I was so blown away by this release. A gourmand highlighted palo santo and it's perfect. It's longevity is great while projection stays personal. I don't get much pistachio but I do get the whipped cream vanilla with the palo santo touch.

I’m over the moon for this . On me it smells super similar to Tom Ford Vanilla Sex, which is great because I love that one but would never shell out that much cash for it!

This and crumb couture are my favorites from Snif. To me this smells like pistachio cake. Delicious. After the bottle sits for a couple weeks it smells even better.

Very comforting scent. I always get complimented on this. I wear a couple of sprays to work and can smell it throughout the day and well into the evenings.

The pistachio vanilla custard dry down is really something. I put this on before bed and woke up in the middle of the night because of how good I smelled.
