Natural Talent

This is a surprising "love" for me. The suede is strong and lasts throughout, which I don't mind. I find suede notes to be so sexy and appealing; they mix well with florals and with sweet notes. This is a sweet suede, with the apricot and the other florals. Great longevity. This also gives me a "skin" scent vibe...which I am not a fan of skin scents, however, this has depth, and projects a bit. Very pretty for a low-key meeting, around the house, even going to bed.

I had to try a few other osmanthus fragrances before this one actually grew on me. I wrote it off when I first got it, but I'm glad I did a bit more digging and retried it. Today was my first day at a new job and I grabbed it kind of randomly, but DAMN do I feel like a badass with leather and osmanthus. It's funny, it has extremely similar listed notes to Dries Van Noten's Fleur du Mal and gives the same emotional resonance as Dries Van Noten's Fleur du Mal, but I don't actually think they smell anything alike. It absolutely does smell like someone's beat-up favorite handbag, it just turns out that's a thing I'm into. Suede and leather are turning out to be some of my favorite notes now, when just a year ago I said I avoided them.

Clean, inoffensive, an easy everyday scent. Citrusy, woody, leathery and floral. Can see this being worn in any setting, day and night. Versatile. I mostly get the citrus and leather notes. It’s bright and fresh but the woods and leather keep it from disappearing immediately like so many freshies do. This one surprised me and I’m excited to experiment with it. I feel like it would layer beautifully with Tangerine Boy by Phlur. Unisex. I’d like to test this one out on my boyfriend. Glad to have it in my collection but unsure if it’s going to be a repurchase.

Natural Talent was the scent that I kept out of the collection. It is a fruity, leathery, fun yet slightly sexy concoction. The apricot/peach is most noticeable, but the violet and leather are there, too, and those two are one of my favorite scent combinations. Unfortunately this scent doesn’t have the same longevity as Snif Sweet Ash and tends to fade after 3-4 hours. That’s okay for me as a spring/summer scent, though, as I don’t want anything too heavy!

Got this as confetti in a swap and was really surprised to enjoy it, since I probably wouldn't ever tried it otherwise. Instantly reminded me of peach iced tea, which isn't an easy vibe to conjure without being saccharine, but Natural Talent finds a way to make it both fun and mature at the same time. Nothing mind-blowing, and I wouldn't buy a bottle, but my sample was a very nice compliment to hot days in LA. A solid unisex for the beverage girls.

This was a little out of my typical scent profile, but I blind bought it due to the osmanthus note listed. I have no problems with it - it smells like clean leather, dried apricots, and has a powdery but not unpleasant finish. Doesn't strike me as being overly sweet, either, it's just the right amount to avoid coming off as juvenile.

The scent is very fruity making it perfect for the warmer months. To me this smells almost like a cheap fruity shampoo or gum which may be headache inducing after some time. I don't mind it. Unfortunately, it has no lasting power and the sillage is quite intimate.

Simple and clean, beautiful for layering. Suede normally chokes me as a vanilla lover but this is a completely perfect fruit-leather perfume as it fades to a skin scent

Fruity but not distinctively apricot and not citrus. Lots of powder and musk.

blind bought this one. wasn't for me, so i decluttered it, but to describe the smell - this pulled a pretty simple apricot and suede on my skin, with more emphasis on the leathery, almost smoky, suede. there's a hint of jasmine in there as well. i bought this early on in my scent journey when i didn't know what i didn't like - jasmine and leather being two of the big ones that don't sit well on me, so this was on me for blind buying before really digging deeper. it's a sensual skin musk like scent. i think what i was looking for was Snif's Me - which i absolutely love. what i think is fascinating about Snif is the creativity and uniqueness of their scents. while Snif's Me is reminiscent of Glossier's Reve, everything else they have released has really been one of a kind. longevity is really not great, but they are EDTs, so that's to be expected. i think price could be better for an EDT, but there is quality in the bottle with magnetic cap and presentation. i wouldn't purchase this one again, but i will purchase from Snif again.

This scent is very fruity/candyish. At first Snif I enjoyed but there's something about that just does not smell good on my skin. The smell feel like a cross between urinal cakes x smarties candy.

Smells like the drugstore garnier fructis shampoo, but 10x stronger. The scent is the epitome of “bad, cheap perfume” for me. I absolutely hate it and I scrubbed it off my arm immediately after spraying. I could still smell it afterwards and it was giving me a headache, so I had to take a shower. Maybe my nostrils were traumatized after being assaulted by this stuff, but I swear the scent was still lingering even after scrubbing and showering. If you want to smell like you fell into a vat of Garnier Fructis before breakfast and somehow fell into again after lunch, then you’ll love it!

The fresh blast in the beginning was really pleasant for me and originally seemed more unisex, with subtler apricot, osmanthus, jasmine. Then it starts to dry down and it was very much straight candied apricot with a bit of powder (powdery sugar) and light suede in the background. I wasn't 100% sure about it at this point, but I just woke up to my blotter and wow, 24 hrs was everything so perfectly smoothed over (heavenly!) and definitely lasting. This is the most lasting and sillage heavy of the Snif frags I've tried. I think I will take it to an outdoor summer wedding. Very feminine and pretty and just a little bit hot girl flirty. It reminds me of some designer scents I've smelled before, yet not synthetic like those or perhaps an apricot floral candy Marie Antoinette would eat. I'm glad I got the 10 ml as I don't see this for myself as a daily wear, but it is pretty and a unique (natural) take on fruity floral that I can get behind, especially now that I'm prepared for the non-linear journey. Note: This is NOT peach green tea or peach anything, but Honorable Mention is absolutely peach green tea if that is what you want. Update: I decided to wear this to an outdoor concert in muggy, hot weather and wow did that leather note bloom on my skin. It still piques my interest. I will continue to test my travel in different conditions.

If the color light beige had a smell, it would be this. It's calming, understated, but doesn't have to try hard to be sophisticated. OPENING: an unsweetened, earthy apricot with what smells like - despite not being listed - a distinct carrot seed note MIDDLE: a smooth, sueded leather; I've never smelled a more realistic suede than I have in this fragrance! DRY DOWN (comes pretty quickly): a soft blend of sweet, powdery, osmanthus-mixed-with-sandalwood; mostly sandalwood, but the osmanthus is still there as a slightly-green-but-sweet creamy floral accord To me, this is a "sexy but soft skin musk with an elevated twist" scent. Like you wear ultra comfortable but flattering designer clothes that don't have a label/logo on them - because you don't need to shout how high class you are, and you still prioritize your comfort. The carrot seed note was a bit off-putting to me in the beginning, and I wasn't sure whether the suede would be up my alley if it continued longer - but the dry down was a beautiful blend that is really growing on me.

I wish Fragrantica would add Snif’s Honorable Mention because if you’re looking for a scent from them in this category, that one might be better. Update: The leather note in this is just way too strong for me. I think this one tends to lean a bit masculine. Also I don’t like the sharp apricot in the beginning. Still think Honorable Mention is way better in terms of this type from Snif.

Wow! I like this one! This is a gorgeous scent. It does have a lovely suede, Apricot/Osmanthus theme from the beginning. Musk, tiny dose of jasmine and subdued ambery notes. Maybe a touch of ambroxan? not enough of it to bother me. It smells like a granddaughter of Lutens Daim Blond. The projection is soft.

New leather (or suede??) bag and apricot juice. On my skin leather and sandalwood are very prominent. Not a typical, safe fruity-floral. This is acquired taste for sure.

It’s a chypre, plain and simple. And a lovely one, at that. It’s fresh and modern without losing that old school chypre edge. I love it.
