Only Sunshine

I never thought I'd write a review about a Snif fragrance as it's not a brand/house I usually have luck with. But, seeing all the silly hate comments on social media really fueled me to write an honest review of THE FRAGRANCE-nothing else. I have to agree with many of the legitimate commenters here and say that this scent is not what I was expecting, but in the best possible way. I expected another "in your face, fruity, screechy, tropical fragrance", but what you get is something different. Does it give tropical vibes? Yes, but not in that "hot sun, tropical cocktail in hand, sitting on a beach" tropical vibe. No. This is a richer, darker, more seductive "date night on a tropical vacation" vibe. I picture wearing this in the evenings, watching the sun set, casting what's left of its warm rays on the water. It opens with a burst of 1980's nostalgia and tropical sweetness. If Lisa Frank (IYKYK) was a smell, the opening of Only Sunshine is it. And then, just like the setting sun shining on the water, the fragrance transitions (still allowing the tropical fruits to shine) but diving more into a richer, ambery base, giving it that warm, sensual vibe. I see some say that it doesn't last. That isn't true for me, albeit my skin does extremely well with tropical/fruity fragrances. What I like about this is: it's different. It's different from any other fragrance Snif offers, it's different from any fragrance toted as "tropical", and it brings a nostalgia that older generations miss and that the younger generations deserve to experience. The 80's were some of the best years of our lives, and this fragrance takes you there but with a modern twist. As far as the price point, it's no different than any other Snif fragrance price, so I don't know what all the price police are upset about. Snif always has sales and coupon codes available, so are you really paying full price for this anyways? If you are, you need to be a better shopper. All in all, I think the Snif x Mikayla collab was a success and if Snif reads these comments, I highly recommend changing this from a limited edition to a regular menu item. There is nothing else in the line up like this and it would be silly not to keep this in the repertoire. Also, Id like to add (for all the lux and niche "snobs"-I mean that lovingly), this may not be your cup of tea or your caliber of fragrance, but if we judge it for what it is, this one was one of Snif's better offerings.

This is really beautiful and unique to my collection. At first, I get really sweet candy-like mango and papaya, and then the sea breeze and orange blossom comes through and dries down to a fresh slightly sweet floral fragrance. My husband loves this one on me, and he doesn’t always comment on my perfumes or smell them easily. At first, the perfume has good projection until it dries down to more a skin scent. I do wish the longevity was better because I enjoy this one a lot. I love this perfume for spring and summer.

I was actually surprised at how much I love this fragrance!! It’s so beautiful!! 😍 I get the tropical fruit & juicy notes of mango and papaya in the opening but after that it evolves and I get the beautiful orange blossom, amber and musk which I love!!!☺️ The dry down on my skin smells amazing!! To me it seems more of a beautiful juicy ‘orange blossom floral’ fragrance. It’s smooth and not screechy or headache inducing. It also has good silage & longevity on my skin.

Beautiful summer fragrance from Snif. This is not your typical overly sweet, fruity tropical vibe. There is SOME of that but also an ambery warmth. I am surprised by this one and very happy with the skin test I've done. I haven't tested for longevity yet but I always touch up my scent if needed so that is less important to me than it is for many. This is completely worth the price for me!

I have no clue who the influencer is who worked with Snif on this, so I don't understand the hate. I'm not into overly fruity fragrances and I love musks, so this is right up my alley. It's just juicy, creamy and salty enough for hot summer days at the beach while still feeling fresh. Think toes in the sand with a blended cocktail in hand.

Very nice fragrance! Shes starts out bright and juicy, but then that beach accord comes in with just a hint of saltiness. This settles close to my skin, so its a very intimate scent. Dont get what the hate is all about, for her first fragrance, she did pretty good!

Shes warm and pretty! I dont get all the hate that this gets just because it was created by MR? Unreal. Try it for yourself. Shes a very nice tropical summer fragrance.

Smells like the escada summer scents that I wore in college, which I have yet to find a suitable dupe for. I finally have and I love it.

Juicy and musky. But the right musk... Grape soda opening, was confused because no grape, maybe thats the mango and papaya mix ? Then dries down to such a sexy fragrance. I smell musk constantly, and those sea notes are somewhat apparent, it mixes nicely with an orange zest smell that is given to you by those orange blossoms. Makes me feel like a goddess in an upscale Miami club. Reminds me of Victoria’s Secret perfumes back in 2012. This is her older sister; Gia. I want to add a warm vanilla to this and see how it performs.

I ordered a sample for a laugh after hearing everyone talk shit about this but I have to say I love her. I was expecting mango vape juice but she's fresh and breezy and such a perfect holiday scent. I've never got on well with "aquatic" smells but this one actually smells like straight sea air and it's beautiful? It's not worth the hundred quid it would cost to import to the UK but I will certainly save my sample for beach days (or days I want to feel less depressed about how cold and damp it is)

This reminds me of an "ocean" "sea" reed diffuser we used to sell at Pier 1 back in the day when I was a manager there. This is a sea fresh, floral, and a bit tropical scent. Regardless of the hate for the girl they partnered with, this isn't bad. Good longevity for an SNIF and overall easy to wear - not as super unique as some of their scent,s but it's cute. I like wearing it in the day or at work - smells good, old but it's not too overly bold. Safe. 8/10 for me

On first spray I get a grape juice/soda smell which dries down to Pez candy sweetness and finally a strong white floral which to my nose smells more like gardenia rather than orange blossom. Young, bright, candy scent with no discernible mango or papaya. Nice enough beach vacay day scent.

Gotta love when reviews are skewed because people are too wrapped up in politics and their own personal HATE for someone.. to actually give it an honest review. You guys who did this get over it - you lost - it SOLD OUT. You’re a bunch of children.

I really like her, she's so fruity yet creamy. & not loud. She does stay close to your body, but I get great wear out of her 8+ hours. The only take away I get from this, is the price 1 oz is $68. Which is overpriced to me.

I love the opening but the dry down completely ruins it for me :(

I blind bought because I tend to LOVE Sniff fragrances. This one however, smells like a body spray from Claire’s I used to wear in middle school. I believe the body spray I remember being obsessed with was cotton candy scented. I could do without the opening which is a very synthetic fruity scent. The dry down redeems this fragrance a bit because the over-ripe mango/papaya scent falls off quite a bit and is very aquatic and sensual. I’d rate this a 3/5 stars. The bottle is pretty, but the scent is MID unfortunately.

Grape opening quickly transitions into a salty sea breeze mixed with fruit. I definitely pick up on the mango, but the papaya softens the note. I think you have to enjoy salty notes & musky accords to fully appreciate this. I don't know the influencer at all to be influenced one way or another. And for those who say $68 is too high for a 1oz... compared to what?

This fragrance is definitely a throw back. As a fragrance hobbiest, collector, whatever you want to call it, I will say it is different than anything I own. But it is bringing me back to circ 90s early 2000s era and I can’t say I’m that mad at it. I do wish snif gives actual fragrance reviewers/influencers a shot at a collab next time but I understand why they went with Mikayla, given the massive influence she has - love her or hate her.I can see this scent ending up representing Mikayla in many ways- you either love it or hate it. No hate or shade to her though she genuinely looked so excited release this. I will say the scent is VERY long lasting for a snif fragrance, and a fragrance in general but I can’t say it’s my favorite scent profile. The base is almost giving patchouli and it’s reminding me of an early 2000s fruitcholi .like Victoria secret, Britney Spears, bath and body works- that direction. I know so many people are sticklers about longevity though. This is for them. Unlike VS, B&B works and most Britney scents this lasts. This has longevity and silliage im just not crazy about how the orange blossom is mixing w those base notes (amber or patchouli???) at this moment and I haven’t spent that much time w it, I would say it’s a pass and if I would have been smart and tested it in ulta first I wouldn’t have left w it. It’s one that can be easily overdone and sickly if over sprayed to be honest. Dang I wanted to love this so bad. I was hoping for more of a light coconut beachy sweet scent. The heavy ambery base w the fruit notes are kinda making it smell cheap and tacky. (Sorry had to say it) But koodos to the influencer for getting her bag, not bad for a makeup guru who is dipping her toes in the fragrance world :)

On my skin this reads: ✨ musky, sun-warmed skin 🌊 a hint of salty air 🥭 soft tropical fruit in the distance This is NOT a loud tropical vacation fragrance. This is: ☀️ “I just got back from the beach and my skin smells amazing” ☀️ effortless, clean, a little sexy ☀️ subtle but addictive And I’ll be honest — if you’re expecting a juicy mango bomb... you might be confused at first like I was. But if you like: 💜 musky skin scents 💜 soft, wearable tropicals 💜 fragrances that sit close and pull people in ...this one is actually really beautiful. It just requires a mindset shift.
