Slice Society

I really love Snif. I have about 8 of their scents. Even though they are edt’s they last for about 6 hours on me. I was hesitant to order slice society because it sounded weird.I recently got the 10ml slice just to get to the free shipping amount when I was placing an order. I actually like it! I don’t think it smells like pizza, it smells like a croissant with sun-dried tomatoes in the opening. It gets sweeter in the dry down and starts to smell more like black currant jam with a little bit of that aromatic basil, the pastry note starts to fade. Then the sun-dried tomato smell starts to smell a little bit more like tomato leaf in the dry down. it’s definitely a gourmand, it’s a pretty even blend of sweet and savory. This is also definitely unisex. I’m wearing this on a hot July day and it’s not overpowering. I think this is probably best in spring and summer. I love soda snob, I bought the full bottle and have gone through it pretty quickly. When I need to re-order that I will probably do the bundle of soda snob and slice society. I like it a lot more than I thought I would.

This is the most watered down version of pizza crust you will ever sniff, but hear me out, its actually really good. This is like smelling the concept of pizza. You get mostly a soft yeast, mixed with a bit of red sauce, and some sweetness. It doesn't smell anything like a tomato, so if you're looking for something fresh out of the garden, this isn't for you. I dont smell cheese either. But what is there, the faint crusty yeast note mixed with the sweet red sauce thing, is amazing. I don't know why I love it so much. Its a gourmand, but not an overly sugary diabetic abomination like what has been flooding the market for the past few years. This is a savory gourmand. Very easy to wear to work, the scent isn't overbearing and doesn't travel far. So far this is the best Snif fragrance I have tried, and it is one of the best top 3 fragrances I've tried ever. I would still highly recommending getting a sample first, before committing to a full bottle.

On the opening I get a burst of that type of crust from the place around the corner that does wood fire pizzas and always has a packed patio in the summer. It’s dusted with flour and has a good char. On the drydown it has the pleasant sweetness of a Margherita pizza — tomato sauce and basil rather than gloopy cheese. lt reminds me a lot of the herbaceous tomato leaf found in ‘From the Garden’ by MMM without the sticky patchouli. I want to smell like a Nancy Myers vegetable garden but often these vegetal notes are too aggressively green to my nose. Thankfully that crust plus the sandalwood base softens the whole profile and makes this an intensely wearable gourmand for the spring and summer. I ordered this to satisfy my scent curiosity, but I’m happy to say this a keeper!

Smells like a caprese salad and I am HERE FOR IT! It does open quite yeasty so I get the pizza imagery for sure but for most of its wear the basil really sings on my skin. Paired with a hint of saltiness, I get strong pesto vibes. The first couple of times I tested this I also got the blast of blackcurrant which was really beautiful and made it strangely wearable, but with more uses I don't pick up on it anymore which is gutting :( This perfume isn't remotely practical but I'd buy a bottle in a heartbeat if it was made available to me. (Snif still don't ship internationally... despite years of waiting... hum.) What can I say? I'm a sucker for kooky scents!

I'll start by saying that I had virtually ZERO expectations in liking this. I bought the bundle because I literally cannot resist a new Snif release. Upon receiving it, I couldn't believe how much I enjoyed it. You absolutely get that pizza vibe but without the greasy, pungent smell of excess oil (I just assumed it'd smell exactly like a NY pizza joint). The basil is probably my favorite aspect of this scent as it really elevates the experience. It really gives this very green, fresh, clean finish to the scent. This is a playful, fun, and enjoyable fragrant experience from initial spray down to the dry down. It's a love for me!

Immediately, I smell every note listed, and it is a fun, though odd combination. They really knew what they were talking about when they said wearable pizza! Except there is an almost woody Berry aspect to it. That is kind of fun. The yeasty tomato smell hits you, and then it is followed by iris and blackcurrant. However, you would never guess it was pizza unless someone told you, and then you would recognize it for what it is. It’s almost powdery. Incredibly unique, though not at all what I expected when I heard pizza fragrance.

I would never have expected to be as obsessed with this--a pizza perfume--as I am. This won't be for everyone, but it is very much *for me.* I'm mind-blown by Snif/No Noses' ability to evoke such experiences with the scents they create. This truly does smell like pizza, but in the most delicate and wearable way. It's impossible to describe, it's one you need to get your nose on to really understand. If you're into adventurous and unique scents, I'd wholly recommend.

I love this one, currently my favorite fragrance for 2024, and my second favorite (under Crumb Couture) from Snif! I drool over the pizza crust (yeasty-doughy) and basil notes and wish they lasted longer. They dissipate pretty quickly and you're left with the sweetness of the black currant and a sweet (not as savory as I'd like) tomato sauce for the most part. Truly a gourmand dream.

Delicious. Sweet, jammy tomato sauce and floury crust- and yet, so wearable. It really does smell like pizza to me, and the bread note comes through much more strongly in this one than Crumb Couture (though I love her too). This is definitely gonna be a full bottle purchase for me eventually.

SO WEIRD BUT GOOD. I roll my eyes at Snif a lot in general but this one is unique and I love it. Boozy late night in a NYC pizza shop. Really enjoy the basil and blackcurrant alongside the yeasty notes.

I was gifted a sample/tester and its an interesting smell. Unfortunately (unlike other folks), I wish it smelled much more like pizza (im assuming the Demeter pizza may smell much more than what I imagined) It smells much more like yeast and pizza dough, maybe some salt and herbs. It's fine and I still enjoy it. I do wish that it projected much more as I do enjoy the scent as is. Its also missing thr tomato/marinara smell. Should've been named Pizza Crust or Breadstick instead. Lately I've been enjoying layering this with BBW-"Off the Vine".. smells much more pizza-y that way. I may purchase a travel sized once I'm out

I really didn't expect to like this but it's actually great, I thought it was going to be weirder less sweet, I'd wear this out to like a dinner date maybe. It has some bread undertones with floral tones on top with something savory in between it's pleasant I like it. But to be honest it really doesn't smell like pizza, more like pita bread with some spices on top but not pizza.

It doesn't quite deliver on the pizza note to me, I cannot smell any acidity that would give tomato. On my skin it smells really nice though, and I like it better than on card. It's mostly basil but if you take a big sniff of it, you can get a floral note under it. Could be nice for a simple occasion where you want to smell nice but not too fancy or overpowering.

I wore this to work today. I kept getting whiffs of it and thinking I smelled like I just cooked something. And that the smell of what I cooked is still lingering on me. It's very much a food-pizza and I was hoping more for tomato leaf basil vegetal. It does smell good, and it is very fun. I'm sure I'll whip it out from time to time.

Firmly expected this to be primarily a tomato scent but was so pleasantly surprised at how bready it is! And after a couple minutes, the basil comes through the loveliest way. Sounds bizarre, but is absolutely wearable. Liked it even better than the soda one.

Yeasty, bread-y goodness. Surprisingly wearable.

I was kind of let down by this... on my skin, I got the yeasty-breadiness as the top note, which quickly faded into just basil. I don't know if other people are getting tomato or pizza, but I certainly didn't. Very low on sillage as well and just didn't last long on my skin. I just wanted this to be weirder and live up to its ambition, but I don't think it did for me.

A pleasant (if slightly artifical) whiff of yeast and basil at the beginning, but then dries down very sweet and jammy. The yeast scent seems to evaporate within seconds. I was hoping for more of the spicy greenness of Replica's From the Garden, but no. If this is pizza then it's cafeteria pizza with that cheap, overly sugary tomato sauce and waxy cheese.

This smells okay, but it's a bit of a disappointment after Crumb Couture. I smelled the croissant and jam so strongly in that one, and this just.... doesn't smell like pizza at all, it just smells like a cheap synthetic body spray. I wish there was more basil, that's why I was excited for this one.

it’s very sweet for a pizza. on the off chance that anyone reading this is familiar with LaRosa’s pizzeria in cincinnati, that would be the pizza this reminds me of the most. pretty much just straight up sugar in the tomato sauce, almost a gourmand

On first smell I mostly got the "crust" note with a bit of sweetness from the blackcurrant. After a bit the basil note came through. It's definitely interesting and worth a try but I don't think I'll be keeping it in my collection.

Purchased Spring of 2025 from a nearby Ulta. For the past 12+ months, I have given this 'fragrance' attempt after attempt and the result is always (always!) the same. While I was not expecting photorealistic tomato, this scent exists at nearly the direct opposite from 'photorealistic'. It is wholly artificial with an opening that evokes cheap ketchup and tomato sauce. Think drunk college kids learning how to 'cook' for the first time in the form of frozen lasagna which has long since been forgotten and left to rot in either the oven or the sink. Worse is its uncanny ability to linger for far too long. It overstays its welcome *every* single time, persisting somewhere between my nostrils and the back of my throat. A pungent mimicry of chef boy-r-dee whilst walking along soggy, moldy floorboards. It is unpleasant to the point of teetering towards nausea.. Seldomly, I get a whiff of something quite 'nice' during the dry down which is likely the black currant. Yet this quickly gets absorbed by the tomato (again) and notes of basil ('sourced' from a local public beer-and-urine garden because of course it is). Trash.

This disappointed me. I absolutely love the smell of a juicy ripe tomato and i was hoping this would capture that herbaceous, tart, fresh, juicy scent but it kind of just fell flat and generic. I wish more niche houses would take risks and go all the way with these type of concepts.

smells like if you sprayed an old pizza box with a boring, flat black currant perfume to hide the fact that it's starting to go stale.

Ranking this as a huge dislike not because it smells bad but because I was disappointed tbh! It was such a strong concept but it felt like only a small fraction of it was delivered. The starchy pizza crust part is only around the start, and after that first section it’s mainly a pleasant sweet and lightly floral scent. I hoped for wearable and not smearing a slice of pizza on my skin, sure, but it would’ve been nice for the concept to somehow be more prominent throughout the wear instead of pizza being an afterthought especially with all the ways components of a pizza could be interpeted olfactively. So yeah I got the crust and crumbs but more heft would’ve been nice. Some scents i dislike the smell of I can still appreciate at least because the intention maybe wasn’t for me. But in this case it felt like something that was hugely overpromised and underdelivered. I hope they consider reformulating this in the future. It felt like ordering a pepperoni pizza and getting dough in a box (the acquiring of the scent. The scent to me is said dough in a box with a quaint bouquet of berries and flowers inside)

Simply so so so bad. Vile. I'm posting this from the shower where I made a fragrantica account just to post this review while scrubbing it off because I couldn't wait for it to fade. It gives none of the things it says it does and instead screams of chemicals. I work in a biological manufacturing facility and if I walked into a room and smelled this I would evacuate the floor because there's obviously some kind of toxic spill. The other reviewers here must also have positive opinions about crack. And smoking it.

Something in here is coming off as grape-y, similar to how Alien and Libre do.. there's not an actual grape note in here, but the black currant and floral note must coming off on me in that purple berry, grape soda way. Yes. I'm reviewing the Slice Society pizza shop scent, not the sister Soda Snob scent!! I'm not getting much of the bread.. Snif's Crumb Couture really delivers on the freshly baked bread note, and I'm not getting it from this. I do get basil and black pepper as it dries down, but as far as pizza crust, bread, flour, etc I'm not sensing any. It's spicy, unisex, not as fresh and green as I thought it may be. I was hoping for the tomato to be a tomato vine but it isn't; they do say it's tomato sauce though so it makes sense it's more rich and spicy. I've already got Replica From the Garden which has been satisfying my tomato vine craving lately. I'm thinking From the Garden and Slice Society will be great worn together for an interesting and unique summer scent. The longevity on Snif scents in the past hasn't been the best, BUT Slice has lasted me 6+ hours the few times I've tested it. I think they are working on improving that aspect of their formula, as Crumb Couture and Tart Deco are DELICIOUS but disappear on me in an hour or two. Luckily Snif sends the generous 2ml sample with every fragrance so you can spray yourself first and really test it out a few times, and return if you don't like it!

I'm sure as people know. It's not for everyone 😂 I got a sample and enjoy it but my two friends did not. First spray was pretty pizza-like. Dry down is more basil/kind of clean to me and slightly boozy? Not sure why I associate the smell with clean lol. I'll use the sample but probably wouldn't go bigger than that. It's interesting but definitely a scent you need to be in the mood for. The "boozy late night pizza shop" is a pretty accurate description! People really out here rating a $70 fragrance like it's supposed to be made from Creed or something lol it's literally $70. Appreciate it for what it is, at least it's different and not another rehash of ldbs/vanilla 28/boujee marshmallow/delina...

Hahaha! this is based on a pizza inspiration? wow I ordered a sample of this without even looking at the notes, just because I was ordering a bunch of samples and the name sounded funny. When I tried it on my skin I was intrigued...what is this? bread? graham cookies? all bran cereal? it smells very grainy and toasted! I don't get the tomato, the basil or anything pizza related. Just a pleasant toasted wheat grain aroma. I had never tried a scent like this though. Funny!

I purchased this with a discount. I liked the sample, but wasn't sure I wanted to smell like it. I also ordered Soda Snob at the same time. Again, not sure I wanted to smell like that. I wound up returning both of them. Several months later, I pulled out the samples, and I'm spraying one on one wrist and one on the other. Can't get enough. I'll eventually get both of them again along with Crumb Couture that I gave away.

There are over 400 unique chemical compounds that comprise what we describe as "tomato smell." It's my white whale. This isn't it, but it's easily among my favorites of the failures. It does have some tomato and basil accords, very sweet and not very earthy, there's a hint of pizza crust that's very interesting, but they fade rather quickly while it settles into being mostly sandalwood and blackcurrant.

I was excited about the tomato/basil crust notes that come out at the beginning, but they disappear too damn fast. There's a bit of sandalwood at some point, but the drydown is all about black currant, which is just weird. It's like drinking a big glass of Ribena with your slice. I'd have put more green in this scent, maybe dry down to a little patchouli or vetiver.

Like others below, I thought this would be weirder? It’s definitely got a greenness from the basil that was refreshing and I do get a very brief hit of the bread and the black currant note does linger, can’t say that I’m getting much tomato sauce

This one was interesting. I can smell the cooked tomato and the basil, a hint of crust. No cheese, thankfully. Tasty, savory. I don’t think this one is a full bottle purchase for me, but I’d bet a lot of people love it.
