So...?

Super soft citrus. I used to wear this religiously as an early teen - the big, serious, bookish sister in So...? and my little, loud, party-loving sister in Exclamation ( though I often coveted 'her' scent - the tag line 'Make a statement without saying a word' seemed more appropriate for my extrovert-trapped-in-an-introvert's-body self!) I picked up a bottle recently, just because it was so crazy-cheap - but I really don't think it smells its' price. Not just pure nostalgia, but actually a rather pleasing and wearable fragrance. The orange here is not sharp or acidic at all, but cushioned with the vanilla and musk to give it a hazy citrus aura rather than any real bite. The ylang-ylang note actually lifts this from the plethora of fruity florals on the market and takes it into oriental vanilla territory. It has nuances of Classique, and (I think) could also pass as an uber-light version of Dior Poison. It has a rather lovely, cosy warmth to it, without being overtly spicy or gourmand. I like it! A great every day scent, and something about that bright red box it comes in just gives me the shivers - that thrill of anticipation as I took my pocket money up to the till to buy my first ever fragrance! For one so cheap, it's one to keep.

Absolutely thrilled right now!! Accidentally discovered a 30ml bottle in my local chemist for $7! This smells just the way I remembered it...warm, sweet but non-overpowering citrus, mildly spicy, creamy vanilla with Jasmine and a little bit of Rose. So many memories are flooding back into my mind each time I sniff my wrist...oh, and the longevity and projection of this is STILL pretty damn awesome considering it's a cheap, drugstore EDT. For anyone on the fence - do *NOT* let the price put you off. I have many, many expensive fragrances...and no, So..? is not a sophisticated, expensive fragrance. It is however a gorgeous, good quality scent at a bargain basement price. Same story goes for some of the oldest perfumes around like Tea Rose, Tabu and even some of the older CK perfumes. Also, keep in mind the Elizabeth Arden house pretty much created the original So...?, which is why I'm guessing it smells so lovely. THRILLED!!! :) ♥

I wish this was still sold in my part of Australia. I had countless bottles of this in my late teens and it never failed to draw in compliments. I remember it being big on Vanilla and Jasmine for the most part, however the other notes listed would waft their way in and out throughout it's rather *impressive* longevity! Really miss this, was the best cheap-cheap perfume I ever had and the current celebrity fragrances and other cheap perfumes just don't even hold a candle to this.

I got this as a gift when I was seventeen from a friend who was in college. Everyone wanted to know what I was wearing...and the name was just so awkward to say! But when I was older I still loved the sweet juicy scent and its sillage was great, I felt like a million bucks...nowhere to be found now though :-(

This is a little gem of a scent. So... ? is grouped under Citrus Gourmand fragrances, but I think of it as an Oriental Vanilla. It's a warm and woody vanilla with a powdered citrus frosting. So... ? was introduced in 1994, only a year after Jean Paul Gaultier's Classique. They do have quite a few notes in common and their dominant accords are similar: white floral, powdery, vanilla, sweet, citrus and woody, but So... ? is much simpler and although it's not a smell-alike, I feel it has a similar vibe. I find it very cosy and it works for me as an easy-to-wear autumn and winter fragrance. It lasts very well and I don't tire of it during the day, as often happens with me. It can be had for a song, but don't let the low price put you off!

I was obsessed with this scent whenever I was 15 - I've never had the perfume, just the deodorant. It's one of my favorite drugstore scents. I loved the spicy, oriental, vanilla smell. I used to think it was the most unique scent in the world - I suppose in comparison to the rest of the So...? range it is quite different - this can be overly sweet and powdery, but not in a generic cotton candy way. I think it's very underrated. I've never been keen on So...? but I've always had a soft spot for this one, I still love it for nostalgic reasons. Hopefully I can find a classier version of this.

When you smell the cap it smells like nothing really. It has a smell but i don't know what it smells like. But i know that a bougie would def wear that. When i spray it's very fresh and very strong. So much flower going out that i don't know which one it is.. it's a chic perfume. I genuinely can't describe what i am smelling it's just a flower bomb. I can smell a little citrus but mostly the flowers. Longevity: imma come back Sillage:same Overall: 6/10 - it's not a bda perfume but it's not my cup of tea really. I am more into vanilla, fruity scents!

This has always reminded me of the drugstore/spray version of Jean Paul Gaultier. I used to pick this up when it was on sale for 99p back when I was a teenager as I couldn't afford perfumes. I thought the So...? sprays were a bit more 'grown up' than Impulse, this one in particular was probably the most mature smelling one at the time. Anyway, this isn't bad at all if you're on a budget and want a spray that smells more like a perfume than a synthetic. It's woody and warm, best suited for the colder months.

This is the first perfume I ever had and I loved it... My best friend gave it to me in a rollerball when I was 8 or 9 & I loved how fresh & clean it smelt! I was pining for this fragrance today when I smelt something similar and I just kept wondering what perfume it was. I had no clue! I looked over at one of my shelves, and the rollerball was still there! Of course it smells nothing like it used to, but I will always remember how it smelt. Beautiful! So clean!

POWDERY NOSTALGIA Over 10 years on and I'll always have a bottle of this in my collection as long as they keep selling it. Its incredibly cheap and is the first perfume I ever owned. I keep buying it for nostalgic reasons and tend to use it during the day. Its a very powdery but pretty scent.

Vanilla, jasmine and ylang-ylang, that was what I mainly got from this perfume, along with a headache and a dry throat. I still wore it enough to run out an entire bottle though! It had good longevity for its price. Totally retro 90s, it makes me think of Dodgy's Staying Out for the Summer.

wasn't so keen on this one. on my skin, i didn't get the vanilla, or the woody tones. it smelt like vintage talc. not in a good way. made me smell grandma-ish! much prefer the lighter scents in this range.

It reminds me of Good Girl and JPG 90’s perfume. It’s stunning. People sleep on this as a nostalgia scent but it could pass for a designer fragrance for sure.

I purchased a trio set for £2 containing this perfume along with 'so... sinful' and 'so... kiss me'. Unfortunately for me this doesn't smell nice. Very sickening and kinda dated. Smells like a grandma who doesn't wear fancy perfumes. It also gives me a headache terribly. I loved sinful and kiss me. In a fun way and great for the money! This kinda smells like citrus and wood?.. old and musty?... Perhaps on the right person it may work. But on me and the interior of a handbag NOPE! This one was given away...

I feel exactly as the reviewer below about this perfume. I was gifted a bottle of this in my Christmas stocking one year. So...? are an established brand in the UK that sell extremely reasonably priced perfume which, at the price point they serve, are actually very decent in both quality and the breadth of their range. This perfume is the original, there are numerous others such as the powdery sweet So Kiss. When I wore this as a teenager, I really didn't pay much attention to the citrus. I liked it because at that time my peers were either perfume free, into indistinguishable D-list celeb 'fumes released in the wake of Fantasy, or flaunted their wealth by drowning themselves in Coco Mad. This one stood out. Yes it's sweet, but not in the syrupy toothache inducing way that cheaper perfumes in this genre tend to be. There are gentle citrus nuances, more tangerine then orange or lemon. Tangerine has a scent that's very distinctive and delicious, this is tangerine to my nose for sure. There's a lovely comforting vanilla base too, and the ratio of citrus to vanilla is really well measured. There's something floral drifting through gently, almost a soapy floral but never quite reaching that soap like quality which I'm glad about. It may even be jasmine. I'm not entirely sure but there may be some patchouli in there too, but if you hate patch it's still worth a test as if it is indeed in the mix, it's rounding things out and smoothing off edges. It's a functional note rather than one made for sniffing. For an EDT the sillage and longevity are great, plus having kept mine in direct sunlight for well over a year (I know, urgh I hate myself for that) I can attest to it's durability and shelf life! This could easily be a very close relative of Gold Sugar, they're very similar. GS is louder and has more going on in the vanilla department, where it's blended with a creamy note and coconut. So...? is quieter and the citrus is less sharp and actually more natural smelling. If you like Gold Sugar this makes a nice alternative. Also for fans of citrus and vanilla. I'm not wild on citrus but this perfume is evidence that, done right,it can be warm and comforting and has more to it than the traditional tropical or christmassy route. Well worth the price! It's fun to check out the others in the range too!

I think to say someone has no sense of what good perfume is if they like this, is a little dramatic and clearly you have no understanding of perfume in general. I am tire of these insulting reviews. If you have to make an insulting comment then don't bother none of us are interested. Elizabeth arden actually owns this brand. They are well made perfumes aimed at younger people and don't last long. So what? parden the punn but re spray it!! I like most of these and can appreciate them especially for younger people who may not be able to afford to buy expensive perfumes or just might be getting used to smelling perfume and working out what they like. There is something for everyone in this line. The new so exclusive is very nice and is not sickenly sweet which was a surprise to me. Worth a try.

my mother was rambling through one her old make up bags doing little clean up and a small bottle of this fell out. So i spray some on my wrist curious as i am with every perfume or cologne. When it got to the dry down i was so so so so happy. This scent I remember so freeking well i was actually looking for this scent for years. This is the scent my Playschool teacher use to wear this perfume and the whole room smelled like it. Im 26 years of age and to think I remember the smell of play school 20 years later it still stuck with me. Unfortunately my Playschool teacher passed away her and my mother where friends and was a lovely woman to talk to but this sweet musky perfume really was my childhood

Ok so it's not the most sophisticated smelling thing you've ever worn but you know what, this is really not that bad for a drugstore oriental vanilla. It's warm and long wearing with a kick of spice from the ylang/sandal. It's not too sweet, cloying or girly, it's actually quite grown up smelling, or can be, if you don't let the cheap price get to your head. I have perfumes costing nearly a week's wage in my collection but I still have a bottle of this too :)

Very much like Bijan. That was the first thought I had upon sniffing this...not bad at all. This will suit people who like Bijan, Red Door etc. The drydown actually reminds me of Si by Armani. I sprayed it on my cardigan and staying power is quite good for a fragrance at such a low price. Definitely worthwhile checking out.

My favorite in So..? body spray range. Smells really expensive. I love it for summer, orange blossom and fruits mixes well with the heat of skin and gives luxurious but still youthful vibe. This could pass as fragrance in Juicy Couture brand. Actually it reminds me their Couture Couture.
