Original Pink

This is so marvelously on point with what I had hoped it would be, which is a rare occurrence, thrilling me when it actually happens! It's a very 90s, clean, soapy, minimalistic rose with a buttload of bergamot up front & center. The opening is brisk, energizing and CLEAN. There is a fair amount of petitgrain in here, I voted for that note too. It settles into a very unisex rose+wood+patchouli aroma that I disagree about being "elegant", I actually really don't think it is at all. But, it is British. However, it (take into consideration I'm an idiot American) stikes me as more of a casually British scent. More downtown, more fun, less buttoned up. More like Liverpool, less like Manchester. I'm not sure how to articulate it, but it's one of the most congruent packaging&scent pairings I've seen. It smells like it's from the UK, but it smells fun. It doesn't have great projection, but I think this is the sort of thing you might wear when you don't know what to wear, but you want to be scented. It's *there*, but it isn't crazy or try-hard. This is super enjoyable and anyone could wear it. It's the type of thing that you could just load a whole household with products in this scent, and everyone from your toddler daughter to your live-in grandfather could rock. 🌹 🧼

I recently picked up the body mist, or the ‘fragrance spritz’ as they call it, from a Walgreens because I was feeling rather nostalgic and was looking at a lot of old posts and videos from around 2013 :) The predominant notes are absolutely rose, bergamot, and patchouli, but it come across as a bright, fresh, slightly soapy rose and fruit-chouli. I can totally see why girls in the 2010’s loved this scent! It reminds me a lot of YSL’s Mon Paris (which to me smells like a very patchouli heavy rose and berry scent), but it’s much fresher and soapier compared to Mon Paris because of the bright bergamot, green-ish lemon leaf, and sweet gardenia notes. I could definitely see this being an all year round scent — it’s sweet, light, floral, and simple. I really love this one, and not just for nostalgia’s sake but also because it’s just a lovely, classic, shower-y rose kind of scent :)

Thank you to the person that sent me a private message years ago (which I just recently saw) and mentioned that Soap and Glory had a due for Miss Dior Cherie! I was able to find the spray plastic bottle of this today and it DOES smell exactly like it. I've owned the righteous butter before and never thought it smelled like Cherie, but I will try layering it to see if it makes the scent last longer. Alone, the spray doesn't last that long (well I only tried a little bit of it as soon as I purchased it - still testing it, but don't think the experience will change much with time). In any case, I am happy that I at least get to smell Cherie even if it is for a little bit once more. I own Mon Paris and agree that too is a dupe - will try layering them both to see how that works..

The original Miss Dior Cherie has so many dupes and perfumes that smell like only a distant echo of it. In my opinion, this one comes the closest to the pre 2011 reformulation Miss Dior Cherie which was released in 2005. I don't own the actual Soap and Glory Parfum but have the Soap and Glory Pink body butter and it smells exactly like the dry down of Miss Dior Cherie 2005. Literally the same scent. It's equally as fruity and patchouli heavy as the original. This does not smell like Coco Mademoiselle (the original Miss Dior Cherie did NOT smell like Coco Mademoiselle, only the 2012 Miss Dior reformulation did which is also no longer available thanks to a 2017 reformulation). If you miss the beautiful, flawless gem that was MDC this is a good substitute.

I bought this for my mother-in-law because she likes retro-chic stuff, the Soap and Glory line has cool looking 1950s glamor packaging but, when I visiting her I actually used the lotion and I really loved the smell. I wish I could steal it back from her because Target no longer sells this line :( Its clean, very girlie fresh and a little candy confection. It reminds me of Jayne Mansfield ! I will definitely order the lotion online maybe the perfume, I wish I knew what kind of lasting power it has. Anyway if you love retro stuff you will like this scent and probably most of this line.

Metallic silver bottle with baby pink letters and chic ribbon. How cute! It's modern but has vintage vibe in it. For the scent, I agreed that it's similar to Miss Dior Cherie. That's because they have strawberry, patchouli and rose in common. However I think there are some differences. Original Pink smell more girly with juicy bergarmot scent while Miss Dior Cherie is deeper and more mature. Unfortunately, it lasts only 1-2 hours on my skin so I have to bring it with me to re-spray among the day. :/

Please bring back the EDP in this glorious range!! I use the body products in Original Pink daily - eg the new Smart Foam Mouldable Shower Mousse is fun, velvety and smells heavenly - along with the Righteous Butter and body mist. Layers well with other perfumes too. Fabulous retro packaging (do check the website link if you haven't seen it) and often on offer at 3 for 2 in Boots - this now classic range merits a perfume once again!

WOW, I really LOVED this fragrance when I got it back in 2013, and would totally purchase it again if I could find it :( It was literally EVERYTHING I could ask for in a perfume; warm, sweet, a little bit of spice, and truly original. To me, it smelled of strawberries, roses, peaches and hot cocoa. Seriously so gorgeous.🌹🍓🍑🍫

Fresh soapy, citrusy, rosy, strawberry. It lasts only for few hours but I always have the roller vial on me so I could just reapply it. Does not smell like Coco Mademoiselle to me ALSO: This layers with almost everything that I own 9/10 smells amazing and very affordable!

Very clean scent. Easily layered with other scents due to the minimal complexity. This is sort of an all terrain perfume that's good for work, casual dates, social settings, or just because. Great right out of the shower and before bed.

I really like how this strikes a perfect balance between fresh/clean, mild rose and very very subtle sweet. What you gotta keep in mind is, that this scent was not created to be a perfume initially but as a signature scent of a body care line (which i ADORED in my mid to late 20's). So when wearing it I never really thought of it as 'wearing a perfume' but more as a way to extend the longevity of the shower gel's and body butter's smell. It's lovely, feminine and clean smelling, but I wouldn't expect anyone to compliment me on my perfume when wearing it. It's really more like you're wearing a very nicely scented lotion. When I still had it I loved it most for spring or early fall weather (15-20 Celsius/ 60-70 Fahrenheit) for situations where an actual perfume would be too much (going to school or to some appointment). It makes you smell super fresh and clean but with that subtle extra touch of soft femininity.

I don't get any of the notes mentioned, but I still love it. It is just a pure alcoholic make-up scent - I could understand why people might hate this. I, for one, don't - it makes me feel like I'm in Marilyn Monroe era. I disagree with the others, it does smell like Coco Mademoiselle. No wonder I'm not so hot about that one, with it being £80 and this about £5. I don't get how that one has such a cult following. It's like if someone said "I want to make a fragrance that smells like bergamot soap... Only, it will be highly reminiscent of your grandma's dresser." I think it's more the imagery than the scent that I like. Soap & Glory's vibe is very old Hollywood/Post-War era England, a bit like Benefit. I'd probably give it a 2/5 for the scent - it's so alcoholic - but 3.5/5 for the perfume as a whole for how it makes me feel.

I was very apprehensive about buying this when I was at Boots because there wasn't a sample, I am also currently desperate to get Miss Dior Eau De Parfum. One of my main concerns was that it was going to smell cheap. When I first tested it, it smelt very sweet. However on a second try, it smelt a lot better. I am not too impressed with the packaging of the perfume itself. The metal feels cheap, and I dislike not being able to see how much is left. With that said, it is good as a cheap alternative for Miss Dior. I am looking forward to buying Miss Dior sometime in the future, so I won't be repurchasing this perfume as it stands.

I have done to this, what I have done to the original agent provocateur bottle and maddonna truth or dare bottle.... I scratched a line down the back of these bottles (it's just paint after all) so I can see where my perfume is up to. It is a clear coloured liquid.(maddonna truth or dare was a very orange liquid abd agent provocateur was a browny yellow)Lol. I hate not knowing how much I have left. A good perfume. It is more tart/tangy than miss dior cherie even if it is a bit similar. But this can get a bit cloying if oversprayed whereas mdc just wafts around inoffensively.

The body mist of this perfume is fantastic! The mist can be found at Walgreens or Walmart, priced at $10 and it's made in France. The mist wears like a perfume meaning low to moderate sillage and ten hours of longevity. It really does smell like a Miss Dior and I can pick out the orange, rose, and patchouli. I'm a fan of patchouli so this body mist is a win for me. Love it! Great value too.

Pretty simple and inoffensive. Reminiscent of a 1990s clean scent meets florally musky 1950s feminine perfume. The rose and citrus combination is quite traditional, complimented by the smoother green and amber base notes. Lasting power and projection aren't amazing, but at such an affordable price point, reapplication is no issue.

This smells similar to many like miss Dior toilette, blooming and Versace crystal. I only like the opening it's very juicy and has lovely crisp patchouli. The strawberry in this is strong and synthetic which is abit too much for me. Other than that it's very cute and feminine.

I definitely need to try and smell Miss Dior Cherie as I heard it is similar to this. So far I really like this scent. After a few minutes it really settled onto my skin and radiated a lovely slightly sweet fruity rose scent. Not sickly sweet its very fresh actually.
