The opening smells like Sprite soda layered over something herbal and slightly woody. Very bright, zingy,and fizzy but distantly grounded in resins. It put a smile on my face but I remember it falling a bit flat after such a dazzling opening. Then again that's to be expected in scents built mostly of volatile top notes. Fun for what it is! If you're familiar with Soivohle scents you'll recognize their zesty woody base, very natural and slightly indie smelling, under the brighter notes here.

Smooth honey, heavy opoponax and amber. I don’t pick up any of the green notes listed. Very warm and enveloping.

I was surprised by how this fragrance smells. I heard someone say in a review about a different fragrance that it smelled like Neutrogena Rain Bath body wash...well, that is EXACTLY what the Tears of Ra by Soivohle smells like, and I mean, EXACTLY! I have that Neutrogena body wash and I broke it out after putting the Tears of Ra on and laughed out loud when I smelled how much they are alike. Anyway, I won't be getting anymore of this than the sample I have. It isn't a bad smell, but it's definitely not something I can't live without.
