Aphrodite

Just like her namesake, you will fall head of heels for this gorgeous mango masterpiece. Mugler Angel Eau Croiserie 2019 (the mango one) has long held a special place in my heart. But I dumped my old girlfriend fast for this new stunner, because Aphrodite has two things that the Mugler Mango lacks: longevity, and the delicious addition of coconut. I can still smell Aphrodite on my wrist 8 hours later (shocking for any fruity freshie), and the projection is also much improved. But it's her superior formulation that's really breathtaking. This tropical beauty will transport you to that fantasy world of sitting by a sandy beach, gazing at crystal-clear azure waters with a fresh, crisp Mango daquiri in your hand. The addition of the Lotus and Palm Leaf perfect the vision, while the soft aquatic notes mellow her out. While she is still flirty, youthful, sweet and fun, she has a lot more maturity, complexity and grown-up sexiness than your run-of-the-mill fruity mall spray. She is a bit tarter than your average bear too, with a hint of lime? or subtle sharpness that makes the mango more realistic and less "girly." I've kissed a lot of mango frogs on my journey (many are too synthetic/fake, ruining the fantasy), and this one is hands-down my new favorite. Got to try a sample of this through a travelling sample box thanks to our incredible fragrance community. I literally squealed with joy when I saw this one in the box, because I was already thinking of blind buying it based on the notes and the 2023 award here (I trust you guys a lot ;-). But there is nothing worse than a bad blind buy when your expectations are high, so I was still on the fence because I've been disappointed by so many mango duds that have just run off on me after 5 sprays and 15 minutes. After wearing her for two days straight, my expectations have been far exceeded, and I couldn't be happier that I got to take her for a test drive before proposing. Aphrodite and I are officially getting married. FB here I come.

The opening is very sweet and fruity and I find the Mango to be the most prominent note that is present at all times. Once it dries down, the scent becomes creamy with the addition of the Coconut and Aquatic notes, while still remaining refreshing and very summery. To me, it's your dream tropical summer holidays in a bottle! As soon as I smell it, I immediately think of sipping my favourite mocktail on the beach as the scent itself is very uplifting and ready to help you create beautiful memories. While most summer scents are very heavy on the coconut notes, I really enjoy the addition of Mango here as it's definitely the centre of this fragrance and helps it to stand out from other bottles in the same category. Overall, I am really impressed with this perfume as it lasts 8+ hours on skin and I'm enjoying the creaminess of the Coconut blended beautifully well with the sweet and fruity Mango opening. I intend to wear this for the remaining of the summer and take it with me on any of my upcoming holidays. I definitely recommend you trying this fragrance out if you enjoy the fruitiness of the Mango note as it's very present in this scent and does not disappoint!

This is an amazing perfume i can't even find the words... I received this about 3 weeks ago and since then it is still as amazing. I'm not sure but i feel like Soki's perfumes are already macerated when they arrive because they last so long. This is even better and surpasses Guerlain's coconut fizz or any other coconut scent out there. Early this year i was waiting for Miu miu fleur de lait to come out here in London and i tested it in Harrods, The scent was nice but super weak and so I refrained from purchasing, since early this year i was craving a mango coconut fragrance and then Soki revealed she would be releasing Aphrodite, i've been dreaming of it ever since. This is a Juicy Milky Mango with the most Lactonic Coconut... Amazing value for the price and i feel so blessed to have bought this for its price, it smells worth over £200+. Bottle and cap is 10/10 Atomizer 10/10 Scent 10/10 Longevity 10/10 This perfume is my antidepressant, I want to purchase backup bottles as soon as I get the chance to.

To me there was something in the opening that reminded me of morning chess. Maybe it was the combination of mango, lotus and palm. It opens fruity but not too sweet. The mango at different times reminded me of xerjoff cruz del sur and escada taj sunset and then there was a stage where it was more shampooy fun when it mixed with the coconut water. I get coconut water rather than coconut. I really like this. It suits my skin well... I may potentially get a back up. I think this will suit a broader audience than empress. Very well done...def does not smell cheap. The scent evokes more eating tropical fruit by a big waterfall in a tropical location rarher than the sea though...so if you are scared of ozonic notes, don't be as they are not prominent.

I just received my bottle and I am IN LOVE with this fragrance! The opening is so very fun and flirty, the initial mango is not sharp or acidic but creamy and fresh, thanks to the lotus addition, I must say, very clever!. As it develops, you can start to perceive the palm leaves stepping into the scene along with the beautiful coconut note, very elegant and inviting. The aquatic notes keep the perfume smelling fresh, summery and hip. A very well done fragrance that invites you to live, to have fun and transports you to beautiful places. Will be my signature fragrance for the remaining days of Summer! Great job Soki!

Soki- you did it! I just received my bottle and it’s even better than I thought it would be. I have Coconut Fizz but it can be a bit sickly....a bit too much at times. I was a tad worried if I would like Aphrodite. But you took Coconut Fizz and you did it much better!! The additional notes are so lovely and they compliment each other seamlessly. What a gorgeous summer scent!!! And I really like the bottle. Sprayer works perfect so far :) Please keep going as your first two fragrances have been a hit. However, I must say Aphrodite is in 1st place at the moment. So yummy!

SO gorgeous! The notes say it all really ...it’s everything you want it to be! The palm and lotus keep it fresh and stop it from being juvenile, which could easily happen with mango and coconut -the stars of the show here. Sweet and fresh yet somehow also creamy. I’m eating khao niao mamuang on the beach and the air is fresh and breezy 🥭🥥🌴🪷🌊 (...if you know you know!). As a British South-East Asian, I highly appreciate this masterful composition of gorgeousness! 🥭🧡🥥🤎🌴💚🪷🩷🌊💙

From the three Soki fragrances, this was the one I thought I would like the least, due to its fruity and aquatic notes, and it was the one I liked the most! The fruits here are presented in an elegant and delicate way, the aquatic notes balance out any possible excess sweetness of these fruits, together with the green note of palm leaf. It is elegant and refined, non-aggressive, and delicately perfumes you all day long. Love it!🩷

This is a more beautiful version of Coconut Fizz. It's got that Guerlain AA DNA down perfectly but it has better longevity and it's not at all harsh on the sinuses (When you smell a perfume that almost burns your sinus like drinking a kids juice that's' so sweet it feels dry). It's a lovely warm weather scent that smells youthful and clean. The Aquatic and sweet mango coupled with the coconut is 10/10

Lovely summer scent with a great green note from the palm leaf. The mango is nice and prominent, the coconut is noticeable and the aquatic quality makes it great for summer heat. It's amazing for lasting considering it's a tropical green fresh scent. I'd totally repurchase this for summer once I finish the bottle. It's not overly sweet, so I think this would be a good unisex scent.

This is lovely, juvenile but at the same time for everyone. The lotus and mango blended so good together. The palm and aquatic notes makes it feel so fresh. I love it! From the bottle to the performance. It is also long lasting, Empress is next on my list. Soki you did it!

I love this scent so much! The mango top note is noticeable even in the dry down. I am currently waiting for my Christmas trip to a tropical country to use this and enjoy it outside. The projection and longevity are also great.

This is sweet and fruity and fun - summer in a bottle! I love this perfume. I have nothing quite like it in my collection. Young, carefree and definitely a scent to evoke memories of the sun and adventures enjoyed.

This is divine. As others say it is Summer in a bottle. The longevity is fantastic. Was getting compliments 4 hours later . For the price point this is a outstanding fragrance.

First impressions of this are overwhelmingly positive! I get a super creamy coconut and mango with a bit of aquatic vibes and palm leaf. A total love in the first hour!

This is juicy and tart 🥭 fun, young, and fresh! One of the few fruity scents I can actually wear. The mango seems to stick around which I love.

I bought Aphrodite as I was thinking about wearing it for my son's upcoming wedding in Cancun Mexico. It is very juicy, fruity and fun, but not wedding appropriate. Its still coming with me, but I will wear it poolside! Sillage and longevity are very good! I get about 6-8 hours of wear in my Chicago Winter! (however, I have not worn it yet in the hot and humid tropics!) I really enjoy this fragrance. Well done, Sophie! Today, I was at Bath & Body works and tried their newer fragrance, Meet Me in Miami. What a perfect compliment! They smell extremely similar, so if you are looking for a body spray of Aphrodite, you will not be disappointed with the B&BW dupe of Meet Me in Miami. Another good one that smells really similar is Coco Paradise (without the fruity touch). And their newest fragrance, Clementine Calypso, complements very nicely as well! On this -4F day, one can dream of Summer while wearing Aphrodite!!!

Disclaimer: I always watch Soki, thinks she's a really likeable girl and enjoy her reviews but I find we differ in taste quite a lot and really didn't like Empress. As Aphrodite opened I thought it was a full on dupe of Paco Rabanne's Fame. But I was wrong. This opened up really fruity, but the dry down lets all the other notes shine, and it's a very soft and airy tropical scent. I find most tropical scents a bit too sweet and almost heavy, this is not like that, the palm note and the lotus note lift it quite a bit. It's really, really nice. And the staying power is superb. Well done, Suki! I'm a bit late to the party but this was a proper bottle worthy summer scent.

I like this, it ́s very refreshing, the mango is what stands out the most, the sharp, not sweet side of it. It's a fresh scent for summer, a nice alternative to citruses which tend to be quite fleeting. It ́s not what I expected, I wanted more of the creamy coconut, but this is just my personal taste. I prefer Empress to Aphrodite, I think it has more personality and is more special. EDIT: this lasts aaaaages and the coconut comes through in the end! You just have to wait a very long time. If it smelled like the dry down from the beginning I'd be in love.

Am I the only one who is smelling Eden Juicy Apple in the dry down? But with much better lasting power? Lovely! I am looking forward to wearing this in the hot Australian summer coming up Overall I am really enjoying it. Love supporting Sophie to be successful in her dream.

It is pretty mango and palm leaf scent. Tropical and oceany. I just don't like how oily the formulation is. I can smell the oil and it is very schreetsy, chemically mess. Also the perfume leaves oil patches to my skin and in summertime it irritates my skin.

Beautiful but disappeared after about two seconds so I gave it away. I just don’t have the time for perfume that leaves me that fast!

Unfortunately, my skin just eats this fragrance--no sillage and the mango is gone instantly. That said, I have the sample size, and a fragrance can definitely perform differently from a bottle. Very punchy mango opening, but quickly dries down into lotus and palm. Stays mango on clothing though, though almost no sillage still. Giving expensive Babylonian bathhouse, getting fanned by palm fronds, lol. I wanted to like this so much more than I did, but I bought it for the mango 🤧 This might work for you! It just didn't work with my skin/pH. Definitely test before committing.

Got a travel size of Aphrodite today as I was very curious about it, since I really like Sophie's channel. I get mango only, almost nothing else. It starts with an overly sweet mango, for 15min combined with some cream or coconut, and then back to mango, less sweet. That's all I get. Pure mango. Nice performance and sillage for 1h, then turns into a skin scent and stays there for another 4 or 5 hours. It's nice and ok for the beach but nothing special, a mostly linear realistic mango. I expected more of it, to be honest.

Just received mine today, very fruity, quite nice but I was hoping for a nice coconut beach fragrance! I don’t get that.😟 not massively long lasting on me, just average, maybe that’s me though. Don’t think I would re- purchase. I always look to soki for her opinion before I buy a fragrance I trust her advice and she’s usually right 😁

This really packs a punch! Long lasting and surprisingly strong, you will only need a couple of sprays of this to last the whole day. Very linear but pleasant creamy coconut scent on my skin. Tasty!

I bought this in the hopes of getting a dupe for SDJ beijos de sol, but this smells straight up like fairy dish soap. Maybe it needs to sit a bit as I just received the package but as of right now, it is not a dupe and I don’t even get the inspiration for this scent (coconut fizz). Zero coconut, I don’t get mango either, I get a bunch of lime, and it smells like the lime that can typically be found in liquid cleaners. So disappointed 😭 Edit: So I let this scent sit over night to let it cool down. I still smell soap however, I did a sample test between Skylar’s lime sands, Guerlain AA coconut fizz, and SDJ Beijos de sol. Here are my thoughts: Beijos de sol: they couldn’t be further from each other in terms of scent. BDS has more creaminess and has more complexity in my opinion. You get the peach skin, the mango, and then a creamy rich coconut at the end. It also lasts a lot longer on my skin than Aphrodite does. Skylar Lime Sands: This is the closest one out of the three. I would even say they are dupes of each-other, but Aphrodite comes off more soapy in a juvenile way. they both have a lime smell to them and both too astringent to my nose, I would say Skylar is a lot less headache inducing to me. Aphrodite had better longevity. AA Coconut fizz: I now smell somewhat of a similarity between the two but not enough to say it’s a dupe, tbh. It’s only when I test them side by side, but I don’t see anyone confusing these two for one another, especially if they had no prior knowledge that Aphrodite was an inspiration to coconut fizz. Coconut fizz has a salty/sweet dry down, like a breeze that carries the scent from the ocean while Aphrodite is kind of linear and maintains the soapy smell. I guess I would say Aphrodite is a mix of lime sands with a hint of coconut fizz and strong soap smell. It makes me sad to say that this is not for me because I like Sophie and her reviews.

I so badly wanted to like this perfume. The notes looked so promising and I loved the name so much that I blind bought it. It ended up being a let down. It seems like it's missing something, like a brightness. I got it two months ago and have worn it only a couple of times, layered with a coconut perfume, which worked okay. The perfume is also surprisingly oily. I don't know if I missed something, but I never saw any indication of this being an oil perfume. Not a huge deal because it didn't get on my clothes, but that definitely could've been annoying.

This is just not for me. I wanted to love this scent as I am very fond of Sophie. But everything is not for everybody. It is very concentrated so if you like it, its a gresat value for your money. Start with just one or two sprays.

I brought it based on positive reviews, with high expectations for its performance. Unfortunately, initial use revealed a broken spray and an unacceptable synthetic smell, falling significantly short of expectations, i'm so disappointed. I thought about a refund, but it wasn't worth the hassle but I will make sure to not let others fall for a fake positive reviews like me.

This is so synthetic and cheap smelling. An overpowering and cloying mix of coconut and lotus. It’s really quite nauseating. Smells quite juvenile as well. Probably best suited to 14-20’s range. A definite no for me.

I had to pay someone coming from London to bring Aphrodite for me because the PO service and the couriers are absolute trash where I live! But it was worth it and I’m so happy!! The mango/coconut perfumes I’m familiar with are the SUPER loud fruity ones from Escada (for instance, Taj Sunset) and even though I do like them, they can be a bit too much for me sometimes. But Aphrodite is different. It begins with a burst of fresh, juicy mango that gradually turns a bit creamier and the slightly floral and aquatic notes come out. It is very well blended, so the mango is there the entire time until the dry down, but the lotus and the other notes really help to bring freshness and shampoo-like vibes. So, to me it’s like eating a delicious mango sorbet in a luxurious resort right after taking a shower, and my hair is still wet so I’m letting it air dry sitting in the balcony, watching the ocean. Someone said it is linear but I don’t agree, because I can only notice the coconut note in the end, when the mango is gone. I’m not a huge fan of coconut scents in general, but the dry down smells like a gentle and sweet coconut milk, and I love it, it’s not like one of those sunscreen-like scents that I’m not a fan of. It is truly well done; the fruitiness and the floral aspects are very well blended! I’m definitely taking it with me to my next trip to Rio. It also has a great longevity, and I’m very picky when it comes to longevity/sillage. I don’t buy perfumes with poor performance anymore. Aphrodite has 30% of perfume oil in it, which is considered high concentration in the perfumery, and you can tell that the quality is great. It has moderate projection, but it’s one of those perfumes that you get whiffs of it when you move. It’s a very uplifting scent, so I’m loving to spray it on my throat and behind my ears, so I can smell it the entire day and put me in a good mood :) The other night I sprayed it before bed, and I could still smell it when I woke up. Today I’m wearing APHRODITE... She’s that summer fragrance that really hits different. Yes, it’s a tropical creamy fruity scent, okay... Another one? No, please, forget about coconut sun screen smell, artificial tropical mango, or a fruit salad, because Aphrodite, as the Greek goddess named after, is powerful, strong. The juicy mango that explodes since the first spray, last, and last, it doesn’t fade, and it remains natural, blending little by little with the airy lotus flower and a delicious coconut that steals the attention after a while. In the background, as you were near the ocean, a characteristic, aquatic, a bit salted breeze, balance the sweetness and brings you the absolute gorgeous feeling of a slow, sunny, blissful day somewhere in a paradisiac island. And to be honest, this makes my weekend mornings prettier when I stay in the city. I just wear a summery dress, perhaps a hat, sunglasses and then spray Aphrodite all over my body and clothes to be ready to relax in a terrace and imagine the palm leafs falling gracefully into the ocean, even in a grey day, as is usual where I live. She’s beautiful among so many fruity tropical fragrances releasing every year when summer is around the corner. But this one, as I’ve said before, hits different and contains the power and concentration of an actual perfume, not a body mist, not a cologne, being still unapologetically beachy. Even a bit young, but in a good way. On my skin, longevity is insane... If I wanted to scrub it off my skin, I couldn’t. But I don’t want...

Oh wow. My review for this fragrance will most likely be edited in the near future as I try it again and again. I have the 15 ml decant. So after its much anticipated arrival, I sprayed it on my arm. I didn’t get much mango like the comment below said. But nonetheless, I liked it. It smelled aquatic, fresh, like beach vacation. While Aphrodite is also befitting, I think the name Siren or Mermaid would fit better. I kept thinking of what it reminded me, cause I could swear I had smelled it before. After a few hours it hit me: Soleil Blanc! Or maybe soleil neige, but definitely one of the TF soleils. I was sad that I wasn’t getting much mango, but nonetheless I was happy to have found a Soleil Blanc alternative that actually lasts. A breezy summer beach scent. In a bold attempt, I sprayed it on my jacket before pilates, at the risk of being hated by everybody else. The next day, I picked up that same jacket and surprisingly, it smelled unmistakably of MANGO. And yes, the scent for strong enough to survive the next day. Now it keeps me wondering if the mango was always there, or was it a slow development? I will definitely edit this review in the summer to see how time and temperature may change the juice. So far it has been a pleasant experience.

Just received all 3 Soki London perfumes (travel sizes). Aphrodite? This is the BEST one by far! It's really good and I'm now wanting a full bottle. I do get the mango and the coconut. It's also a little fresh, yet sweet, juicy and very youthful (has a young teen vibe, but in a good way?) Will be adding the full size to my wish list! Edit: I bought the 50 mL of Aphrodite, and I'm so excited to add this gem to my collection. I have now been wearing Empress and Artemis more... let me tell you, I didn't like them at first. But they have grown on me!! I'm getting more sweetness, popcorn, and toffee in Empress rather than patchouli. Artemis wasn't what I expected, but now that I've accepted it for what it was (not a fruity sweet perfume), this one is a good green floral! I now have Empress on my want list for 50 mL. Artemis is almost there! My initial reviews for Soki's perfumes were harsh, but give them time, and they will grow on you! Much love here Soki!

As with Empress, this perfume is sooo concentrated (40% fragrance oil). Which is good in theory! However, my nose just picks up so much of the "oil" smell, if that makes sense. It could be the actual fragrance oils, it could be the other ingredients, I don't know :( I smelled it with Empress when it first released, but at the time I didn't know what it was. When I smelled it with Aphrodite, I knew it had to do with the formulation/blend, and it wasn't meant to be a "note". To my nose, it's like a metallic smell. For the actual fragrance - somewhat linear, loved the opening mango note. It reminded me of Alien Goddess Intense. Much as I like and respect the creator for her work ethic and her positive attitude, I unfortunately passed along my sample and I'm not sure that I'll also try the new one in the dark blue bottle.

I'm a fan of Soki's YouTube channel and thought I would try a couple of her perfumes. Aphrodite is definitely the best of the two I tried. Aphrodite gives you that holiday in a bottle feeling. The mango is very present in the opening notes, and has a slightly underripe scent. The palm leaf and/or the lotus scent gives me greenness and a lemony pineapple. The scent has good projection and is long lasting. My only issue is that on my skin (but not on my test strip), there is an element that makes it a tiny bit sour. It reminds me of Mancera Holidays with more mango.

After much anticipation, I finally received my Aphrodite sample. I loved Empress and had high expectations for this new release. It is a nice perfume but not for me unfortunately. It smells like a nice sun tan lotion to me. That is all. I do get a lot of coconut, not much else. It is a good beach scent but its not sophisticated enough for me. The silage is massive. Longevity is great. I only sprayed once at the back of my hand, I can still smell it 6hours later.

Anneliesv- Her boyfriend is allowed to review it, Particularly if he's tried it! Jesus christ! I always ask my family and friends for their feedback on items I create (Not perfume). I don't get all the hate towards this girl. The perfume isn't for me, I don't like mango. Likewise her first release, I can't stand popcorn. I ain't gonna be petty towards her, I hope she succeeds and becomes renowned in the perfume world as an established creator.

Just tried my sample. Well the notes are spot on to my nose. I get all of them. This has creamy mango top notes which hang around for the middle notes too. Pleased to say that the creaminess prevents any synthetic sharpness that IMO often come with fruity top notes. Some palm tree fresh woody coconut coming thru which gives it warmth and depth. I like it.

This is definitely a tropical, fruity, coconutty fragrance. It’s quite green with that palm frond note it kind of does have a bit of a synthetic edge to it. But in my experience that’s not so unusual with coconut fragrances. It’s a sort of waxy coconut imo. There’s a nice saltiness to this as well. It kind of reminds me of surfboard wax.

This smells like a combination of gourmand coconut (think Bounty, not sunscreen) and juicy mango. That’s all I smell, from beginning to dry down, so not a complex scent, but a pleasant one, with a very good balance between fresh and sweet. I like the scent, though I’d definitely prefer it as a body spray or lotion over a perfume.
