Beijos de Sol

When I first smelt this I instantly liked it a lot, but two weeks later when someone around me sprayed it and I smelt it on them, It turned into a love and I purchased two bottles (since it's limited edition). It has that standard sol de Janeiro gourmand formula but without any weird synthetic notes that you might pick up in the other ones like 62 and 71. Im very much getting a coconut creme brulee kind of vibe from this with the addition of a bit of the rio radiance formula that reminds you of hot beach sands in summer and sunscreen, but that note is much more balanced and not as strong which I prefer. To me this is 100% an elevated version of their signature gourmand fragrances. I think the hype on this fragrance isn't as big as it should be because people are now very used to this type of scent from SDJ but if it had been released as part of the original line I'm convinced it would instantly be a bestseller. To my surprise this fragrance actually lasts AND projects like the better half of their line. Usually I'd expect hella successful brands like SDJ to start watering down their fragrances by now but this performs just as good as many EDP's to me, got me compliments (from men too) and I could smell in my laundry two days after spraying. This is a well balanced fragrance that projects and lasts without being overpowering so I do like to generously spray. To summarise I would say this fragrance very much combines the all of the same notes and concepts you will find in the 62, 39 (discontinued) and Rio Radiance fragrances, with a more realistic gourmand note and less of a synthetic note, not to forget it has a nice amount of sweetness without being overpowering or anywhere near 71.

Initial Thoughts: Sweet, fruity, and creamy from the coconut milk. Green but not herbal. Syrupy but not heavy. I really love summer scents and this fills a void in my collection. Its tropical but peach forward and creamy. I do not find it musky. This pulls a honey note on my skin but that could just be my body chemistry because I did not read any other reviews mentioning that. I do understand the comparisons to other Sol De Janerio perfumes. You could replace the Guava in Cheirosa 48 with peach and get a very similar scent. It lasts about 4-5 hours with an arm’s length scent bubble and a lovely moderate silage. I do have to reapply but the bottle is easy to carry in my purse so I do not mind. I think you have to wear this on skin or your hair in a warm environment to get the full effect. Wearing it on clothes helps with longevity but it does not smell as rich. This is my favorite from the three limited editions from 2024 and I am sad that I cannot repurchase this. 8/10. Try combining it with Clean Reserve Sparking Sugar. This combo adds a sugary sweetness and helps with Beijos De Sol’s longevity. The peach notes in each perfume is different. Sparking Sugar is a fresh peach, and Beijo De Sol’s peach is almost overly ripe. But they complement each other very well and this combo has an evanescent quality.

My 2nd favorite of the new 3 summer fragrances! Beachy, bright, tropical, juicy, sweet, sunny, creamy, and happy. I really pick up on the coconut milk, peach, and mango, especially when I first spray it. It feels bright, tropical, juicy, and fruity. As it dries down the coconut becomes more creamy and I can pick up the frangipani, musk, and woodsy notes. I do prefer it a little more once it’s been on for at least 30 minutes and has become less fruity and juicy, but more of a creamy coconut with a floral, musky, and woodsy scent. I’m not getting any sun tan lotion scent with this one like I do with a lot of coconut fragrances. Definitely a really nice coconut scent for summer. I always get really good performance with SDJ mists, and Beijos de Sol is no exception. The scent lasts throughout the whole day, and it projects out about an arm’s length from me. I also just wanted to mention that I don’t get any similarities between this one, Coco Cabana 39, or Rio Radiance. If anything it would be closer to Rio Radiance just because it’s not a super sweet or gourmand coconut scent like Coco Cabana 39.

This smells good. It’s giving VS coconut body mist, but elevated. There is some fruitiness here, but mostly a creamy coconut. I like it! It’s not the artificial smelling, almost desiccated sweetened coconut in most sprays. It actually smells quite similar to “Thank U, Next” but without the strong rose which creates that “pickle” smell that it’s known for. Basically, it’s TUN but better. I’ll definitely be keeping this one! It’s very yummy. Edit: when it hits the dry down, it becomes a lot muskier, but keeps the coconut and slight fruitiness. This scent evolves a lot! Make sure you wear it once to see if it’s something you would like.

This was a love at first sniff, and after leaving it sit for a while it has only gotten better ( I can smell almost all the notes, whereas before I only got coconut) and surprisingly a lot longer lasting on me. This is my favorite scent out of all 3 releases and will be my favorite out of the SDJ line if it ever becomes permanent (fingers crossed). I have been trying to find a dupe of this in case we never see it again, and along the way I found many dupes for Carioca Crush and Summer e Amor, but nothing has come close to Beijos de Sol.

love love LOVE this!! was a blind buy (wanted a good peach scent for the hot weather) and it did not disappoint. i am not getting any of the sunscreen vibes i've seen others write about. to me, it comes off as a very peachy and creamy scent. definitely giving tropical summer vacation vibes. it lasts maybe 4-5 hours on clothes, not sure about skin as i usually only use mists for clothing. would def recommend if you need a good summer fragrance :)) (P.S.: if anyone knows a good EDP dupe for this please let me know bc i need it)

okay when it comes to SDJ I HATE how bad their longevity is but this summer collection is pulling through better than their other scents!! as for the scent- my personal taste are sweet and gentle fragrances and I feel like this one matches the description. My favorite thing about this is how nostalgic it feels and in those terms, it's the perfect summer scent in my books. It makes me feel happy when I'm wearing it and like im enjoying a good day at the beach so thats definitely why I'M personally obsessed with it.

My favorite from the summer 2024 SDJ limited edition trio! Light sunscreen-adjacent scent. Reminds me a BIT of Rio Radiance, which is one of my favorites from the SDJ core line, but that one is definitely a heavier sunscreen floral scent (probably because of the prominent tuberose). Beijos de Sol is airier, more fruity (I definitely get some peach) and light on the florals (but they’re still detectable).

Not sure if I posted this already, but I smelled it again today and it just threw me back in time, do any millennials remember the bath and body works art stuff collection? This smells EXACTLY like coco crush! It opened up a memory portal I didn’t know I had. I used to have the body glitter and I was OBSESSED with it. I love this one, perfect for summer.

I love this body spray, it’s so summery, top notes of peach, coconut milk & sea air, then I can smell peach and a touch of vanilla cream, it makes me feel so happy when I wear it. It’s not too heavy on coconut (like Malibu beach) and it’s more of a green coconut fragrance than the coconut smell you get from shampoo.

this was gifted to me as this had peach notes. I really enjoy this scent, it's a more refined BBW type of fruity summer scent. I don't pick up on the peach notes, but I do smell some kind of fruit, coconut and a nice musky base. An enjoyable summer/spring scent and I'm sure I'll be using all the juice

Madly in love with this scent- started getting really into coconut scents as the weather started warming up! Some coconut scents turn too nutty/almond on my skin but this one is just right. I'll be pairing it with V&Rs Tigerlily! Mango & Coconut together smell sooo good! 🥭🥥🍹

i dont like to blind buy anymore but this was too tempting with the sale. smells like coconut cream topped with peach skin and mango. i need to test it on skin a few more times but im enjoying this sm i love/hate finding a good limited edition

I bought 62 and Rio Radiance last year about 2 days before my wedding and absolutely fell in love, and that has been my go-to scent combo since. I love beachy, sunscreen, tropical, fruity, solar and salt notes so those two together hit all the right spots for me. I also love peach, mango, white florals, orchids and gourmands. I haven’t tried any other SDJ scents yet but have been looking for a peachy perfume so when I saw peach skin in the notes of Beijos de Sol I impulse ordered all 3 of the summer limited editions. This is the first of the set I’ve tried. I LOVED this on first spray. The peach skin and mango was very forward and the coconut milk gave it a watery lactonic quality that felt more piña colada with melting blended ice and *bright* rather than nutty or creamy. I can also pick up the frangipani right away, and it’s a note I love and seek out in other perfumes so I was very glad to feel it here. It took a while for the dry down to develop and when it did I definitely got the musk and very faintly the white woods. Overall I think the pyramid as described is well represented. My first two immediate thoughts when I sprayed this was 1. bathroom (in a good way, like soapy clean fruity shampoo and body spray) and 2. Tropical Splash Barbie, but the doll fresh out the box before you opened up the perfume she came with. There’s a nostalgic youthful plasticy sort of smell I get that makes me think of 90s Barbies and that one specifically. It also makes me think of Juice Bar perfumes I would get at the drugstore as a kid, probably the gummy bear one. I’m a big Escada fan (Rockin Rio was a part of my signature combo for YEARS) and Beijos de Sol reminds me of Escada Agua del Sol but less sugary and without watermelon (which isn’t a note listed for Agua Del Sol but the first thing I think of when I spray it, which is practically never because it is just too sugary for me). I read people say that Jo Malone pear & freesia is a dupe for the Tropical Splash Barbie perfume and I would be really interested to know if anyone has that and can compare this to it. As for the bathroom association, my Grandma used to send me VS body sprays and I would keep them on top of the toilet to use as bathroom sprays, specifically Pear Glacé and Amber Romance. Then I would load up on my typical tropical beachy perfumes at my sink vanity so that could be why Bathroom was my first thought. I read a review below that said Beijos de Sol started giving them whiffs of wet bath mat after a few days and I wish I hadn’t read that because I have been obsessively trying to sniff that out now and can’t figure out if I’m getting it too or if I’m being paranoid 🥲 im imagining they meant they smelled a mildew note so I’m guessing it would be the musk that didn’t agree with that reviewer. I’m very much hoping it was a skin chemistry thing that I don’t share with them (no offense!) because I truly love this perfume at first spray. Sometimes I think I get what they were talking about but I may just be tricking myself, I’m not sure if it’s something I actually pick up on as well or if I just have the image of a wet pink shag bath mat in my head now and can’t stop thinking of wet bath mats while I try to sniff it out. I will not be reading any more reviews of the other 2 summer limited editions until AFTER I get a few days of testing them out so I don’t corrupt and scare myself again lol SDJ 62 + Rio Radiance will sometimes give me a strong smoky earthy scent on my clothes after a day or so especially when I sleep in it. People say the longevity and sillage is poor but I feel like these sprays stick to clothes very well. So far I’ve had 2-3 sprays of Beijos de Sol on for 9 hours (no reapplication) and while it’s not projecting much I can still smell it on me and especially on my shirt. The musk does get stronger as time goes on, the fruit/ lactonic / soapy notes get closer to a skin scent and the musk and woods get a little louder and more prominent, taking it from a bright refreshing peachy virgin piña colada to a warmer slightly woodsy envelopment. It starts very youthful and bouncy and cute clean, and develops into a light musky blonde woods. I don’t feel inside this perfume but I feel it on me. I keep thinking it could work very well layered with a patchouli and maybe even slight mint base. I don’t think this smells anything like 62 or Rio Radiance, not even a little. It is very much its own scent. This is fun and delicious, but I still like 62 + Rio Radiance the best. Lastly this may not make sense to many but while the bottle is green, to me this perfume feels more bubblegum pink.

I like this one (hard for me to not like any SDJ release), but I was expecting more peachy mango fruity goodness. What I get is a weak version of Coco Cabana / 39 initially, it's like that husky gourmand coconut initially, and then a good 10 mins later I get some weak peachy kind of scent. It smells good, but isn't quite as nice as I expected / hoped. I thought this would be my favourite based on the notes but it's probably my second fave after Carioca Crush. In the air it does smell lovely though, and the coconutty DNA sticks to clothes for a day or two, so I will easily use this and enjoy it. Would have liked more peach and tropical vibes outside of that textured coconut though.

This might not be as fruity as some people would have hoped It smells like a thick coconut milk with a hint of a fruity frangipani. This is perfect for summer and its delicious, i wanna lick it off my skin. Very refreshing. If you like rio radiance, you would like this one as well. They both have prominent coconut milk notes, but this one smells way more like a real coconut, Whereas rio radiance gives very much sunscreen and sand. The sweetness is minimal in this fragrance, and theres no artificial screechiness. Very good once again, i’ll have to see about the performance. gorgeous bottle though

Yes, it's another typical tropical/sunscreen scent, but it's really well done. The peach takes center stage in the opening, while the mango plays a subtle role in the background. The coconut comes across as authentic, adding a creamy touch that smoothly transitions into pleasant milky notes without being overwhelming. This would be perfect for vacations, especially beach days. Don't be fooled by its body mist format though—it shows impressive longevity on clothes, lasting over 8 hours.

When I first tested all three body mists I couldn't really smell this at all. Maybe the smell of the other two overpowered this one, who knows. I was very dissapointed, but I'm glad that I wore it for a day before leaving a review. On the second try, the smell was stronger but still not very long lasting. A nice coconut, tropical, beachy scent. It has Rio Radiance vibes without smelling like Rio Radiance if that makes sense haha. This is a sweeter, creamier coconut and more fruity.

This is my favorite of the SDJ summer collection, BUT... I do feel like this is a dupe of Bath & Body scent. I think that if you layered B&BW Wakiki Beach Coconut & Rio Pineapple Mango, this is what you'd get. This is honestly a pretty decent mixture of both, I'm just a little bummed that I coulda made this mixture already at home for a fraction of the price. I'm not mad at this collection, but I wish I didn't already essentially have this collection in other brands/forms.

Okay, picture this: you've got a bowl of freshly crushed peaches, all juicy and ripe, piled over sweet mango chunks. Then, someone's gone and drizzled coconut and vanilla syrup all over it, and just to make it extra fancy, they've sprinkled delicate jasmine flowers on top. That's exactly what this fragrance smells like. Now, imagine bottling that up and spraying it on yourself on a super hot summer day, while you're chilling by the pool. That's the vibe.

This is a mixture of 39(Coco Cabana) & 87(Rio Radiance) I prefer 87. While I originally hated it due to it smelling like a repeat, I'm starting to like it. The drydown smells similar to the coconut Jergans lotion but sweeter. You don't need it if you already have 39 & 87.

Really like this one. Sweet peach and coconut. Perfect for summer. BUT the longevity and sillage is absolutely terrible. Barely smell it after overspraying. Their permanent mists have much much better longevity. Ovepriced considering longevity snd sillsge for sure.

When i first smelled it I thought it smelled delicious, like coconut milk and peaches (as it is advertised) but in my experience, I tend to get sick of Sol de Janeiro sprays. This one is one of my favorite smells, though!

Sweet, creamy coconut, pina colada style. Not too strong. A little lactonic, but in an inoffensive way. The opening is delicious, I didn't really get the fruit but a smell of coconut pastry, fresh from the oven.

This is the body spray version of Paco Rabanne’s Fame (particularly the intense version). A sweet coconut mango scent that dries down a little musky and a little woodsy. It’s fun

It's fine - it actually smells nicer on clothes than it does on my skin. It lasts about 30 minutes (if that) - probably will not be repurchasing, but will use it while I have it.

I'm actually so sad to be saying this but I don't really like it. The notes looked so promising for it to be something I'd absolutely love. I was very intrigued by the reviews saying it smells like the fruits listed with coconut milk on top. The problem is that all I personally can smell is the coconut milk, and maybe a little frangipani and musk. It's like you just opened a can of coconut milk. I do appreciate this for being realistic smelling, but I really wish I could smell the mango and peach! Maybe I get a tiny tiny bit of mango, because smelling it right now it's reminding me of mango sticky rice, but that's just not something I want to smell like. Overall, I don't hate the creamy, realistic coconut milk scent I'm getting but I really wanted this scent to be fruitier/sweeter than it is. ETA: as time goes on, I do keep spraying it. It does smell nice, but to wear it I'll have to layer it with something else I think Editing again: I've had this for a few months now, and while I literally never wear it, I'm kinda still glad I have it. I still don't want to smell like this, but I do spray and enjoy the scent from time to time. I'm almost using it as a room spray I guess, except I just spray it in the air while I'm at my desk at home. I still wish the mango note was stronger and sweeter, and I still do not detect any peach at all. I think my problem with it is that it almost smells savory??? In that sense it is a true, unsweetened coconut, with a little mango mixed in. I haven't tried layering it with anything yet, as I feel like I don't currently have anything that would go with it. I don't yet know what Yara Tous smells like but I've been meaning to get some for ages and somehow I'm hoping these two will go well together

I at first I LOVED this! It’s such a creamy coconut for sure. That’s what I loved the most. The opening i definitely get the peach not so much the mango. Like 5 mins into the dry down the creamy milky coconut. Loved it and thought no way I’m returning it BUT once I wore it the third time it started becoming a big NO for me. I wore this to work and as I walked around or got whiffs of it, I got this weird bathroom smell LMFAO! sounds so funny but yes. Have you ever walked into someone’s bathroom and it smelled like wet dirty shower rug ? Well that’s what i get. Now that’s all I am getting. Even on initial spray now I start to get that scent and I turns my stomach. It’s so sad cause I really loved how creamy milky coconutty it was. I am now debating whether I return it or wait to see if that goes away. I am curious to know if it’s turned on anyone or I’m just crazy lol.

I had a beach-y Hollister body spray back in 2016... didn't know they repackaged it until I smelled Beijos de Sol! I had high hopes since a lot of the reviews I've seen said it's not your typical coconut scent. To me, it smells like a generic coconut/pina colada scent with an overripe, soon-to-rot, peach on top. Nothing special and definitely not worth the money. Probably my least favorite out of all the new SDJ releases this year.

By far my least favourite of the new collection. It’s an almost sour coconut smell on me. Has minimal sillage and lasts about 5 hours. In terms of perfumes listed as similar— ❌ Ariana’s Thank U Next: a much creamier coconut scent ❌ Ariana’s God Is A Woman: a deep, fruity scent with no coconut, nothing alike ❌ Ellis Brooklyn Sun Fruit: fruity and not coconut-heavy ❌ Rabanne Fame: sweet and creamy, not sour

Not a fan. Smells like a tropical cleaner smh. Lasting and projecting power are pretty good for the price and considering it's only a body spray. I wear it to the gym anyway. A complete let down I was expecting more coconut. Note: my friends think this smells really good on me and one said it's similar to Alien Goddess by Mugler. Not sure I agree but you probably could layer this with AG

Rio radiances younger sister. It’s much more sweet and coconuty compared to rio which is more of a coconuty sunscreen scent. It’s not my favorite out of the collection but it’s nice. Edit: I’ve also seen some comparisons to Cheirosa 39, I personally believe there’s no similarities between them except for the coconut. I got this during the week there, I was looking forward to a summery coconut fragrance, but instead I get a blast of peach and then it dulls down to a musky coconut, not even sweet, just musty like wet cardboard or something. I'll see if I can layer it with something so I can use it but its just ok, the longevity is what you'd expect from a body spray.

It’s super light. Lactonic notes for sure, it smells good but is very milky and light/doesn’t last super long for me.

I don’t understand how there are so many positive reviews for this body spray. I get very faint peach notes, if it wasn’t listed I would have no idea peach was even an afterthought when they made this. To me it smells like coconut(ish) shampoo. Nondescript floral, very powdery, almost like a nivea body lotion, maybe even deodorant. Just a very generic perfumey smell. Nothing really tropical or creamy about it, so disappointing.

This smells very coconutty and sweet, but on initial spray I get a urine type smell. It still smells like a nice sweet coconut and what I would imagine drinking coconut milk out of a coconut on a tropical island would be like. It smells lactonic and creamy which is what I wanted, but that urine smell always lingered and I ended up returning it, the urine smell didn't go away at all :(

I had high hopes for this, as I'm a big fan of beachy fragrances and mango but unfortunately this has the type of coconut note that turns to a kind of salty playdoh on me. I got about half a second of pleasant peach and then all playdoh coconut and musk. No mango or frangipani notes for me.

A creamy buttery sweet sour fruity body lotion smell.It lasts a long time but I dont love the scent its self.

I really enjoy this scent, it’s really not what I was expecting from the description though! I also read comments about it being sickly sweet, but it isn’t. I see the comparison with the discontinued ‘39, it has that dry powdery coconut fragrance. The difference with this being the addition of Frangipani, which is one of the main things I can smell in this. I get a bit of the peach but it’s very light, and a tiny bit of mango. But the coconut and frangipani are at the forefront of this fragrance. Lasting power isn’t great but not as bas as some of the other SDJ releases. It’s a bit of a risky blind buy because it is so different to what I was expecting, but luckily I like it.
