Bikini Season

The best of the SDJ 2023 summer releases. Guava can be hit or miss-- sometimes it can come across a little off, reminiscent of ammonia. Thankfully Bikini Season has no such hint. It is delicious. A warm, fruity, tropical concoction that is more juicy than it is sugary. As with all body mists at a lower concentration than perfume, you will want to layer it over a scented lotion for longevity. Someone below mentioned they layer this with BBW Guava-tini. I layer this with BBW Fiji Sunshine (which is pretty much the same), and agree that it's a great pairing.

Fruity, Bright, juicy, tropical, happy, sweet, fun, and refreshing. I have this in the new Cheirosa 48 permanent version, which is what I’m reviewing. I think this is the fruitiest mist from SDJ that I have tried (Carioca Crush is up there too, but not quite as much as this one imo). I find the bright and juicy guava nectar to be the most prominent note. I also get the tropical coconut water and slightly tangy lemon twist, especially in the opening. As it dries down I do get the warm vanilla and soft musk too, but I still get those fruity notes too. I’m a big fan of SDJ scents and also own Coco Cabana 39, Summer é Amor, Beijos De Sol, Carioca Crush, 62, 40, Rio Radiance 87, 59, and 68. My top 3 favorites are Coco Cabana 39, Summer é Amor, and 62. While I do think all of them are pretty, my least favorites are 68, Carioca Crush, and 48. I tend to prefer beachy/coconut, sweet, and vanilla scents. However, if you’re a fan of bright, fruity, and tropical scents then you’ll probably really enjoy 48. I get good performance with Cheirosa 48. The longevity is decent... it lasts several hours on me, but I do need to reapply once or twice throughout the whole day. The projection is also nice, it radiates out about an arm’s length from me.

Another generic fruity tropical. It’s not bad by any means, it is a pretty scent. However, it’s safe to say that you’ve already smelled some variation of this scent before. I’m surprised people are saying they smell pickles.. I don’t get pickle, but there is something in this scent that is a little stinky in the dry down that smells like you’ve been at the pool and you’re still wearing a wet suit. It’s that mixture of being out in the sun and wet bathing suit that I smell. Out of the sdj line, it’s similar to Anitta, but bikini season is better to my nose because I HATED the patchouli in that one. It also smells like bombshell sundrenched, but I like sundrenched more. Overall, I was underwhelmed with this one and when in rio, they kinda smelled alike to me and were very uninspired. I wish do not disturb was the permanent scent, that was my favorite from this launch, and although people lost their minds over the opening of the fragrance, it actually was different and beautiful.

I like the Sol de Janeiro line. I have multiple products from their line and have not been disappointed yet! Bikini Season is no exception! Right away, at first spray... you get the guava, orchid, and musk. My nose also picks up a peony vibe. Very youthful, flirty, and feminine. It is fragrance mist, so it does need to be re-applied from time to time, but--it has great performance for a body spray. I am wearing Bikini Season as my scent of the day. I am wearing it here at work, and later to a late lunch with coworkers. This fragrance is perfect for laid back days at the beach, the gym, and picnics. This is a fun scent, so don't take it too seriously. Not a safe blind buy because these days everyone takes everything so seriously--even a scent named: Bikini Season!

I wore this almost everyday of Summer 2023 to capture the scent of Summer 23' in a bottle. It worked for the most part, and this perfume is the perfect sweet summer scent. It's tropical but still sweet and I loved smelling it on myself. It really is sweet and bikini season is a great name for this sweet and tropical summery scent. I've heard some say that it smells cheap, but it is a body spray. Sol de Janeiro is mostly used by teenagers and younger people, so it makes sense that it's not too sophisticated. Either way it's enjoyable.

Something is off in the opening on this one, it’s a tad sour, but in a good way?? I can’t decide- but it wasn’t an immediate love for me. The mid and dry down is on the warm side and great for the beach. I recently wore this on vacay and the housekeeper said my room was the one with the YUMMY guava scent, so it lingered for a few hours within the room. I could also smell it on my swimsuit hours later, but it quickly fades from my skin.

This one smells like my nail salon, first hit and immediately-nail salon. It is more lemon to me than guava but I can detect the coconut. My all time favourite Sol mist is Anitta, which I cry about every day and I can smell A HINT of Anitta in this one. By some reason, it gets less likeable by time, goes just overly too sweet for my liking. Great but not that great of a body mist, was hoping more.

I had high hopes based on the notes and the description - but was underwhelmed upon first spray. This is a faint guava + coconut body spray, the intensity isn't there - especially when you compare to the original line. Opens with guava, which quickly settles into coconut. It's gone within 30 minutes. I bought this together with Rio Radiance and RR stays on longer, it also projects better.

Coconut mixes into the guava in a very juicy fun way, but I'm not a fan of any of that business. It's a cocktail you didn't know came with a show from the waiter and now you're very overwhelmed. It's tangy and groovy. On the other side, I wish it had a little more depth. I layer her with Red Door by Elizabeth Arden and it slays.

Upon opening I do get a hit of fruit which smells great as I was looking for a tropical smell. However, musk then comes barreling through and it ends up drying down a more vanilla musk with a hint of fruit. Vanilla and musk isn't tropical for me so I'm not quite getting the hype. Doesn't smell bad just not what I expected.

This is my least favorite out of the 3 it’s not terrible but it’s not my favorite. This reminds Me of Sour Fruit. I get Ariana Grande Thank U Next OG “Pink Bottle” Vibes from this a Candied Covered Pickle next to Coconut Milk or Rum. Having said all that it’s not terrible when it dries down as I’m wearing it now. I think it’s definitely going to be a good Spring-Summer Scent a crowd pleaser.

Cheirosa 48 first impression: fruity for sure. That guava note is a little bit weird on my skin tho. Not sure if I liked it. Brought me memories from Today Tomorrow Always Everlasting by Avon, which I did not love as well 🫠 Will test for a few days and come back if I change my mind.

Fresh, fun, and fruity with the typical sunscreen-esque base notes-you get the idea. Notes say guava, but it's very reminiscent of tangerine or peach. Longevity and projection are standard for a body spray. Easily the best of the 3 new summer scents but nothing outstanding.

This doesn't smell at all like thank you next in my opinion. Smells like cocounut, lemon, musk ans guava mostly. It's okay, not that special. It doesn't last as long as other permanent sol de janeiro mists.

This smells like ariana grandes thank u next perfume, it even has the “pickle” note in the beginning, not their best tbh.

Beautiful scent when you first spray it but the dry down kinda smells like puke to me! So disapponting

This is one dimentional coconut body spray.Opening burst of fruit and dillpickle last like a second and rest is gone within 30 min.Dissapointing.

I blind bought it and it was a huge mistake🗿 Bikini season smells exactly like any cheap body spray from 2000’s. Such a shame 🥺

Do not blind buy! I love all of my SDJ body mists; '62, '71, '68, Rio Radience, When In Rio- so I thought that of course I love this one too and oh boy how I was wrong! I really can't stand it at all. I don't have that Ariana Grande one that everyone keeps referring to, but for me, '48 smells like dill and something bad. It opens like any generic Escada scent and dries to, well, dill.

Smells something like Crayola fruit scent crayons or playdoh. Yech.

I need them to add a page for Cheirosa 48 urgently because I need to comment on this. Terrible disappointment. A dupe for Thank U Next but I actually love Thank U Next and Cheirosa 48 made me experience the 'bad side' of the fragrance. Like every complain people have about Thank U Next, I can't smell it in the original fragrance, but I can sure smell it in this. The first thing that came to mind was Cloud Pink too. Anyway absolutely not fit for the summer, the fruitiness of the opening lasts exactly 3 seconds, then all the guava is gone and you have this very heavy sort of artificial musk. At least the bottle is cute but this made me relive the trauma of getting 68 and realizing upon first spray that it was a fragrance that I already owned. I'll take a cheap fruity fresh scent over a dupe of an 'expensive' fragrance any day of the week, half the joy of owning a new fragrance is to discover a scent. SIGH.

Waiting for 48 to arrive and the reviews are scaring the hell outta me! Pls for the love of God someone tell me this doesn't smell like TYN!! I own all the AG fragrances (except Frankie) and while I'm obviously a fan of them, TYN is THE one I cannot stand. I actually liked it at first years ago but lo and behold, one day I sprayed it and out of the blue got hit with the sandalwood pickle it's legendary for and since that day I cannot wear it. She sits in the very back of my perfume closet while I threaten eviction like a miserly landlord but know I won't *really* do it because I am a child when it comes to complete collections and the sole reason I keep it. And it matches my other heart shaped bottles. And now I'm reading one of the mists I'm waiting on is a dupe of the fragrance I hate? 😭 I trusted you SDJ

After listening to all the hype I should’ve known better then to listen to yall 😤🥴 I got the cheirosa 48 which is the permanent version of bikini season & something about this smells like stink bug 🤢 idk if it’s the sharpness of the guava or what but I can’t get with it . Way too fruity & juvenile for my taste , my 10 year old loved it so I gave it to her . It’s a no from me. My Fav from this brand tho is 58,68, After Hours & the discontinued Coco cabana (which they should’ve definitely brought back instead of bikini season ) 😒😭 this is the equivalent to champagne toast in my eyes , everyone is obsessed & raves about it & it’s not good....not even a little imo . BUT if ur a fruit lover then this is right up ur alley. Cus it’s all fruit.

I wanted to wait and see if Cheirosa 48 would be added to review, but I’m just going to post my thoughts anyways. This is by far my favorite SDJ. It’s fruity, tropical, and bright. The fruitiness of the guava is really unique and I don’t see guava in many perfumes, so I knew I needed to try this. Bought the mini size bottle and then immediately bought the large size after smelling. The coconut and guava are definitely the most prominent notes in here but the vanilla can be smelled in the background very faintly. Last power isn’t great, especially compared the gourmands that SDJ does, but I don’t mind because the first spritz of this is so juicy and refreshing that I kind of like having to respray.

This was exactly what I imagined it would smell like when I first bought it. A tropical, upbeat and summery scent. Smells strongly of guava nectar + lemon which was the main reason why I wanted to pick it up because I’m very drawn to tropical scents! This is a citrusy tropical fruit explosion with a hint of musk. Very pretty and will be perfect for sunny vacations. It gives Bath and Bodywork’s/Victorias Secret but every other SDJ does that as well so it’s okay.

I’m so pleased this is coming back as Cheirosa 48 in the permanent line up, I was so gutted this was only limited edition as Bikini Season. Upon first smell last summer I knew this was one of my favourites from SDJ, it’s sweet, fresh and tropical. The Guava stands out the most, so if you like sweet tropical scents definitely pick this up when it comes out in the permanent line up in a couple of months!

Smells a bit sharp but it dries down sweeter. The lemon is very prominent think unsweet coconut water with lemon slices, I don’t get alot of guava. It smells like the beach but without sunscreen. The lemon makes it smell clean but it doesn’t lean into detergent territory. The orris musk and vanilla are very strong and round everything out. It has similarities to thank you next but much better.

I almost never get complimented on my fragrance because I realize now I haven’t been layering properly or spraying enough...but I did get told I smelled amazing when I wore this. I go nose blind almost immediately after spraying fragrance, so I thought the longevity of this was not good but I had it on a few hours when I got the compliment.

I got this as a gift from my boyfriend and i was pleasantly surprised. It has a strong smell and it stays on a lot of time for a body spray. My 68 is a lot more short lived than this one. It smells like coconut water and guava to me. I love the beginning - its a fruit explosion and i love how guava smells like 💖 yummy!

i have this as cheirosa 48. it's a nice tropical fruity scent, nothing special, but fun and inoffensive. the performance leaves something to be desired; yes, it's a body spray, but i feel like the other sdj scents last longer and have better sillage

this is like if 71 was fruity instead of gourmand, that's how juicy smelling it is (on me). If you're a fiend for fruity scents, feel free to inject this into your veins!✨💖💖

this scent honestly smells like a stronger, sweeter version of pink ice from rue 21 with a little bit of something else. immediately thought of it. this is very fruity.

This is what you expect for a scent with this name. Tropical and pleasant enough but a sample was enough. Too faint and short lasting to bother buying.

this reminds me sm of thank u next by ari. But this one is more tropical and more fruity, but they do smell very alike.

this smells good, but it's just okay, i like it but i wouldn't rebuy it, will enjoy it while i have it though!
