Cheirosa '62

I used to always lurk on Fragrantica, but I never left any reviews or even created an account. Today, I got a SDJ kit with body spray, shower gel, and the bum bum cream, and I knew I HAD to come here and write a review. This is what I'd call an "affective" fragrance (as in, something that evokes affection and emotions). There's a reason why everyone says it smells like the beach, like memories, like a vacation. I had already heard about this brand but didn't give it much thought. Brazilians are known for making great cosmetics, especially lotions, and creams - Natura and their nutty body lotions, with guaraná and other active ingredients from the Amazon rainforest, come to mind. But today, I decided to give it a try when I went to Ulta and saw this kit had great value, offering 3 small products for 30$. I remember sniffing the product and telling my husband that it smelled like my mom, like the beach, like Brazil, like summer. I'm a Brazilian living in the US and I haven't been home in 2 years, so the emotional reaction was strong. We took a nap in the middle of this sunny, wintery afternoon after I sprayed myself with the body mist and thought about home and summer. I had a dream where I was going through my greeting cards and found one that had a sound module, but instead of playing a song, it had a recording of my two youngest nieces saying "Auntie 10deouros, we love you, come back home soon, we miss you!", and cried with SAUDADES. And I don't think this is merely coincidental because the brand is Brazilian-led and centered around Rio de Janeiro (a very, very small part of Brazil that certainly doesn't define the whole country) - something about the fragrance evokes the smell of beauty products and cosmetics that were popular when I was growing up in Brazil, and I'm sure that is intentional. When I say this product reminds me of the beach and summer, it's not exactly the smell of being by the sea. It reminds me of the evening after a long day swimming in the ocean and lounging in the sand, after being home, taking a cold, dressing up in the most casual and laid-back manner possible, and going for a walk and ice cream by the boardwalk, wearing flip flops, feeling your skin lightly tingle with a mild sunburn. I believe this fragrance might be too overpowering if worn on an actual 40-degree Celsius summer day in Rio de Janeiro because it does run very sweet and gourmand, but I still have to test that. As for the product's performance. It has incredible sillage and longevity considering it is only a body spray, and it does last even longer if you follow the brand's tip to spray it on your hair. I would say the silage is moderate, it won't leave that huge trail or arrive before you do, but anyone standing at 6 feet will catch a whiff of it. I applied this at around 2 pm, and now at 8 pm, after taking a nap, I can still smell it on my skin and hair. In short, this is what I love about perfumery. This is meant to be a casual, laid-back, approachable fragrance. Anyone complaining about it not being "groundbreaking" is missing the point of the whole brand's concept.

Sweet, vanilla, caramel, warm, almond, nutty, woody, powdery, salty, fruity, feminine, sensual, seductive, sexy, flirty, chic, charming, whimsical, dreamy, divine, delightful, radiant, luminous, alluring, tempting, addictive, yummy inviting, cozy, comforting On me this opens with nutty pistachio and smooth cherry like almond. The dry down is absolutely gorgeous and delightfully yummy! The pistachio and almond stay softly intertwined and swirls throughout the sweet, rich, and slightly buttery salted caramel, powdery vanilla, and creamy sandalwood. It has a really lovely balance of sweet and salty. I know this is nothing new and exciting to a lot of people at this point, but oh my goodness it’s just sooo good! I’ve had this for a few years now, and it’s one that I just keep going back to! It’s such an easy reach, and works well throughout the whole year. I also have the body wash, body cream, and deodorant, and love all of them! I have the mist in the OG bottle as well as one of the newer design ones, and I swear I feel like I get better performance from the OG. I’m a big fan of SDJ scents. I own almost all of the permanent ones as well as most of the limited editions. My top 5 faves are Summer é Amor, 62, 39, 40, and 59. 68 is my least favorite. Also, I know these can sometimes be thought of as more juvenile, but I’m 37 and still really enjoy them! I have the body cream, scrub and also the body shampoo of this because I’m obsessed with this fragrant it’s like COOKIES heaven 🤤.. but sadly the bum bum body cream doesn’t stay for the whole day and I wanted to smell this delicious smell the whole month .. so I was like I should buy the body /hair mist and .... I think i found my all time fav smell ....... I’m not using my perfumes for a while because I don’t need it anymore this is just the most yummy fragrant , The Pistachio the salted caramel the vanilla the sandalwood it’s like a delicious bakery Like you’re coming out of the oven smelling like a Caramel nutty cookie and everyone can smell u from a mile away. alsooo what I love about it that I can layer it with other perfumes that have vanilla notes in it .. makes like the best combo ever .. if you have Olympia / Kayali vanilla 28 / hypnotic poison Dior / Tom Ford noir . try putting a little after spraying the mist in your hair and you gonna be dangerous lol you’re just going to be too dangerous to walk on the streets with this delicious smell .. I tried bum bum cream with the vanilla 28 Kayali and I think I got the most compliments ever .. so yeah delicious Caramel nutty cookie heaven fragrance I recommend you to buy the body cream bum bum because both are just yummy and it stays longer .. 10/10 love it

Okay, honestly I sprayed this on and was not expecting much because it is just a body spray, however I am amazed to say......this spray smells so good that it has drawn compliments that have boggled my mind! I am a Chanel Coco Noir gal, and for gourmand, I like Hildi Soliani’s Crema di Latte which also amazingly draws compliments and smells like cake. Anyhow, I think smelling like pistachio/almond must be very sexy because it grabs people’s attention, and I can honestly say, when combined with the shower cream and bum bum cream, lasts all day so you don’t need perfume or anything stronger. Plus, the price point is great. There is a pineapple note in this, that is not listed (at least in the cream) that adds interest as well and sweetness, but not too much which is good because I don’t like overly sweet scents - this is more aromatic than sweet. I wore this to work in the winter and the guys wanted to talk to me more than usual and hang out, and the gals appreciate the scent also. I would say value-wise, this is a hit and It smells amazing..even in winter which takes on a more Tobacco vibe. This is definitely worth trying and earns its high rating easily. Again, I am amazed.

I was a bit late to the game with this one! I’ve already owned it more than a year now, and also had the cream. It smells absolutely divine. And I don’t care if it’s basic, it’s popular for a reason. The notes are pistachio & warm caramel, with heliotrope that gives it a slight floral touch. The sandalwood then makes it smell creamy and the sweetness of vanilla. Everyone knows about it, but I cannot recommend this enough. It’s a gourmands lover dream. This is THE it girl of gourmand perfumes. This is perfect for the summer and even the winter. Personally I think It’s more of a summer scent for me, but you can get away with wearing this in the winter, as it’s a gourmand. Cannot recommend this enough, I need a lifetime supply of this. This and the cream, shower gel, & oil will make you smell edible asf. The only problem is that it does not last. At all. I spray this on me and while I would still be able to smell it if I smelt my t shirt, I just don’t get whiffs of it within around 30 mins of spraying, which is to be expected from a body mist but considering the price, it’s disappointing!

We are in the middle of a heatwave in the UK (30c +) and every other perfume I have either disappears or turns weird on me but this is perfect. I love gourmands, spicy scents and patchouli bombs which aren’t always appreciated in hot weather, and I don’t like fresh or aquatic scents so am usually stuck for something to wear. I have a big bottle of this that I got on offer along with a bum bum cream that I got in an advent calendar and the scent of these products is just perfect for me in this heat. Whenever I wear it I decide to make it my summer signature. I can mist it on with abandon as it’s a body spray and not too overpowering. Longevity is average but that’s to be expected. Sillage seems to be good as I do get compliments on this. Sweet but heat-appropriate, and doesn’t turn sickly. Reminds me a tiny bit of the smell from the donut stands you get by the seaside in the UK. I definitely get caramel from it. It is a bit of a rip off for what it is but it’s usually on offer, and my giant bottle is lasting well considering I douse myself in the stuff. Lasts well on clothes too.

just bought this for my girlfriend, super feminine scent, sweet and cozy, literally eternal lasting, i dont get people saying this doesnt last, like no joke 2 sprays of this lasted me 16 hours i had to scrub it off, tried it on my skin before buying this is basically a perfume not a mist, most people hating just want to be diferent, it might be a little to sweet, but you cant ask a mist spray to be super sophisticated and blended perfectly specially for the price of 25 euros, this is not meant for girls who arent confident because you will call atention to yourself, 8/10 good price, longevity, performance, but most of all smell, this bumps attractiveness level if a girl wears it, a room filler for sure, 4 month later update: ok she ghosted me right when vacation started, i guess they were right when they said never date a girl in your same class RIP, guess ill be smelling this in september back in class but on a girl whos heart doesnt belong to me anymore

This is exactly what I imagine when I imagine a "summer fragrance" for me (I can also definitely see this being used for spring), but I can see why many people find it kind of boring. I love it, though. I get a lot of the nutty pistachio when first sprayed, and then as it dries down, I mostly get the vanilla and jasmine, which I LOVE. I feel like you just can't go wrong with these notes—just a classic, nice, subtle summer scent that reminds me of walking on a beach after applying sunscreen. That being said, it's still kind of pricey for what you're getting, and the longevity isn't the best, although it's still decent for a body spray and seems to stick to my skin better than others. I got this scent in the perfume, body cream, and body wash and would recommend probably waiting for a sale because of the price

Straight up caramel pistachio! I love this and I feel like it suits most people. Very sweet but not sickly headache sweet like I know the other two Sol de Janeiro scents can be for some people. Lasts very long on my skin, maybe 5 hours wich I think is long for a body mist. Women at my work has asked me what perfume i ́m wearing when I have worn this. I have all SOL DE JANEIRO scents and the difference is: Cheriosa 71: Sweetest of them all, an autumn/winter scent. White chocolate cookie. Brazilian crush: Suits most people. Lighter than Cheriosa 71 and Coco Cabana. Smells exactly like the bum bum cream, straight up caramel pistachio. Summer/spring scent. Coco cabana: Sweeter than Brazilian crush. Coconutty marshmallows with a hint of buttered popcorn. Also a summer/spring scent.

I absolutely love this, and I think it completely deserves its popularity. I'm not a fan of most summer fragrances, because most of them are very fresh, floral or fruity, which often pulls sour to my nose. But this is perfect. Sweet, caramelly, so beautiful. I'm not usually a fan of pistachio fragrances, but I like it in Cheirosa 62. I love vanilla and I usually gravitate more towards autumn/winter fragrances, so finding a summer fragrance that I like is sort of a miracle. I will say the longevity is not the best, I have to respray it throughout the day, but since the price point isn't that high I'll let it slide. Overall, a beautiful fragrance, I recommend you try it if you're more into the "cold months" perfumes but you're looking for something for the summer :)

This is craaaazy good for a mist! It has a longevity and projection that could be compared to perfumes. I have gotten some compliments while wearing this. I get that it smells a bit artificial but I don't really care because whenever I use this I just wanna smell good, regardless of smelling artificial or not yk! This specific SDJ mist is interesting because you can wear it in all seasons. Its gourmand caramel sweetness makes it suitable for colder weather but the vibe it gives off overall is also suitable in hotter weather. Also this may just be for me but it smells a bit differently when I spray it on my skin vs on my clothes. I can smell a bit of a smoky scent whenever I spray it on my wrists (but do spray it on clothes because I noticed it lasts longer!)

I feel like a girl boss when I wear this and I’m a 24 year old boy. Whenever I wear it, my colleagues go crazy and rush over to tell me how good I smell! It’s sweet, nostalgic, kind of gourmand but not quite fully gourmand. I want to “eat” it, yet it’s not an edible kind of scent. It smells like summer and feels like I’m on vacation. I always layer it with a soft, musky perfume like Narciso Rodriguez For Her EDT for ultimate power. It’s not the strongest performing perfume out there, but if you layer it with the Bum Bum cream, it lasts a LONG time. It’s super versatile. Perfect for work, dinner, a date, meeting friends, or even wearing to bed. I haven’t tried the EDP version yet, but I’ll definitely check it out!

A true trendsetter in the world of summer gourmands. This scent defined a whole category for me and still stands out for how distinctive and recognizable it is, It’s not an edible-style gourmand, but it does have a clear salted caramel sweetness that feels warm and addictive rather than sugary. The pistachio note is especially strong in the opening and early wear, giving it a nutty, toasted character that immediately sets it apart. Performance is also impressive for a body mist in my opinion. Longevity is stronger than most fine fragrance mists from other brands, and it maintains its presence without disappearing too quickly. Overall, it’s iconic for a reason: modern, summery, and influential.

I don’t even care about how overdone this scent profile is at this point, I love 62. Usually, I get a headache from overly sweet smells, and this is SWEET. But even layering the body cream, oil, and body spray, this isn’t offensive or overwhelming. It smells delicious, sunny, warm, and caramely. This also lasts a really long time for me with just a few sprays—especially when sprayed on clothes—so I’m not sure about people saying this doesn’t last or isn’t worth the money. I guess ymmv, but try layering it with the cream or a body lotion with a similar scent profile.

i believe most sdj fragrances are overpriced bc of their basic smells and lacking performance but this one proved me wrong. smells super creamy, sweet and a little toasty on me. definitely a daily summer scent, but i think it performs a little better in cold. i was very suprised with its longevity. some of my clothes still smelled of 62 a few days after i used it! i have to give credit to tiktok clean girls for this because i'm addicted to this smell. i'm more than halfway through a 90ml bottle and a 240ml bottle is waiting for me.

Everyone says its overhyped but its because it's so good, this perfumes is my first love <3 longevity and projection is perfect!! you have to be careful with how much you spray, I personally don't mind it but I could see how it could bother some people because the projection is really REAALLYYY strong at first it can get overwhelming with a few sprays ( ._. )" although some of the reviews say otherwise but in my experience this perfume lingered in my clothes for hOURSS i was scared how long it lasted(⁠•⁠ ⁠▽⁠ ⁠•⁠;⁠)

I loved this scent for several years, and now I have a deep appreciation for it and understand that it will be this generation's landmark comforting scent for the children raised around it, even if I no longer wear it very often or gladly. It's one of the only fragrances I've used up and had to purchase a replacement. A warm, intoxicating, delicious, comforting vanilla caramel pistachio ice cream scent. Makes me feel like it’s summer despite being gourmand. It lasts a long time for a body spray, too.

Esse é para quem gosta de doce bem doce. Eu acho um ótimo acerto, apesar de não ter nenhuma característica brasileira. Gosto como o pistache e o caramelo salgado se conversam, criando uma fragrância jovem, suculenta e quente. Amo usar especialmente como perfume de cabelo, maneira que o faz exalar o dia todo. No Brasil, é caro por ser um body splash e a marca lá da Jade Picon tem um contratipo que funciona bem (parecido, quase idêntico, só menos "salgado").

Such a beautiful scent! I'm not usually into gourmand scents but this one, but this one is really nice. Very nutty caramel on me. Doesn't last long at all. Maybe 30min-1hr on me which makes it pretty expensive for such poor longevity. B&BW tend to last longer and that is my only complaint. Sillage and radiance is moderate at first spray but quickly narrows to intimate. I prefer this with gourmands so that it isn't headache inducing to others.

I absolutely love this fragrance! It opens with an explosion of caramel and pistachio. Although the heart is primarily floral, I find the heliotrope quite gourmand on my skin: not a bad thing at all! It's actually a plus. I appreciate that the fragrance is sweet, but also very summery. I feel like that's quite rare to find. In short, definitely worth trying! If I still love it at the end of the bottle, I'll buy the eau de parfum version!

blind buy, I bought Dark kiss, Dahlia, Kayalie 81 and this one. Dare I say this is the only one that i really really loved. First the box had its smell because of how strong it is. This is the first time i smell it, It's soooo pistachio coded. salted very very salted caramel. almost that's it. I don't smell vanilla or almond or anything else. but i don't mind. I think it will be good mostly for the summer on the beach. I love it.

This must is just a must have if you're into vanilla/gourmand scents. It layers so well with other perfumes and it wraps you up like a golden pistachio caramel bonbon. It's so lovely,I bought 5 mists already and can't get enough of it. Absolutely must have for the summer,can be worn anytime of the year tbh, do yourself a favor and get it,don't look back,don't walk,just run towards it.

Love. Straight up vanilla essence and almond essence, not pistachio, with a bit of sweetness. Reminds me of the liqueur Frangelico. Yum! This is summer beach vibes. Def not a freshie to cut through peak heat while lying down on a towel in the sand with a refreshing lemonade. This is nutty, boozy Frangelico on ice at a lux 5 star private villa in the bright summer sun. ☀️ 🌰🥃🌸🧡💛✨

This is my longest lasting fragrance I own! And you can see my profile, I own a lot 😅 I love spraying it in my hair when I have day two or three hair and some dry shampoo. It stays in my hair all day and on my clothes for forever! I feel like the notes are what I smell, so I don’t need to go on and on. When I want vanilla in the summer, this is the only one I reach for. 💛

Again, I'm really new to reviewing perfumes, but this one is sort of near and dear to me!! This was the first fragrance that kind of made me realise what I liked in a perfume! Its sweet without being sickening, warm and nutty, which is perfect for summer and early fall! The bottle itself is cute and compact which is great if you're planning on travelling <3

Quite long lasting for a body mist!! I love this. It's right up my alley, warm, sweet, fluffy and flirty. I am so happy it doesn't smell like a sunscreen. I'm tired of coconut, tiare and plumeria. I love the combination of notes in it, and I imagine pistachio and caramel ice cream melting in the sun, giving you that really sweet, sticky scent.

This scent is my absolute obsession. I enjoy scents that are sweet but turn fresh and light as they wear off. It smells of pistachio ice cream, which instantly develops into a scent of nougat and salted caramel with fresh, floral notes. Sillage is quite strong, however since it’s a body mist it has to be reapplied.

a rich sweet gourmand that feels like decadent caramel melting in summer sun on the beach. this scent is my weakness. I didn't know about the hype when I was gifted a bottle, so falling in love with it was entirely my own doing great to wear on its own, or to layer with something spicier for more depth

I love this, but it is VERY heavy for me. I absolutely hate smelling it on other people, too, and it seems like everyone wears this. It's definitely a gorgeous scent, but I like it better for sleeping than wearing during the day simply because I feel like it's strong and might bother others.

This smells like heaven. Waking up early in a beach villa, showering and putting this on (bonus points if the matching cream is underneath) - immaculate vibes. Watching the sun rise in a satin dress while the others are still asleep. “Eternity doesn’t sound as boring if this is included”

I’m not even sure if this is meant to be a gourmand-type fragrance but I literally want to eat it. It smells comfortingly sweet, like a delicious pistachio caramel cookie with hints of vanilla. I think it’s a perfect scent for any season but particularly summer, going out when it’s warm.

maybe it's a body chemistry thing to me, but this mist smells really cheap? almost like dollar store level, and i was shocked seeing the notes as vanilla/caramel/gourmand?? for me, smells very bright and fruity to me personally.. even after drying down. pretty overhyped for the price imo

That is the best smelling body spray i've ever had. For this type of product it's decently lasting, which surprised me. Does anybody know if the fragrance from this line lasts even longer, is it worth buying it, or should I stick to the spray? The salty pistachio is so enchanting....😍

Absolutely love this body spray! Smells so warm and cozy on my skin. It is pretty weak and doesn't last long though. To get a few hours of wear I have to spray a lot on me and make sure I hit my clothes and hair with it. It smells like pistachio and almonds, sweet and delicious.

I had these years back when it was less popular and ADORED it. Since then, to my nose smelling it in store/on others now, it feels like the formula's changed. For a body mist, still a nice summer pick, just a bit strong with the caramel part to me now :)

This one makes me feel happy for some reason.I don't like gourmand but this is so buttery and lovely to smell it.I bought it in order to pamper my self even inside home. If u like Hypnotic poison by Dior go ahead for blind buy!

Oh this is good! I like this much better than the '71. It's so nice and warm. Beautiful vanilla & floral notes. I'm not really getting much pistachio, maybe a bit when you take a deep sniff. Great for layering, I'm sure.

THE scent of every californian summer. go to the beach and you will smell a girl wearing it. when i was a kid i smelled this, and came back 4 years later to buy it bc it stuck with me so bad. so so good and timeless.

This perfume is like very popular but there's a reason for it! it smells just like almonds and cashmere its very powerful and nice to smell on someone, but I say get a bigger bottle if buying you'll use it too much!

When I was in a enclosed space with someone like a car they would notice it and I would get the comment that I either way smelled like butter cookies or cake, which is delightful. Sadly it goes away super quick!

This is one of my favorites. It’s one of the loveliest sweet gourmand scents on the market. Many other companies try to replicate this fragrance, and for good reason—it’s unique and deeply loved.

LOVE!! Warm and comforting, sweet and indulgent, like eating a melting pistachio sundae drizzled with extra caramel. Big crowd pleaser, many many compliments wearing this. Works with any season.

the more i layer with the body wash and the lotion the more i like it. i get so many compliments, everyone wears it, but it smells so so good and you just smell like tropical warm skin.

it smells like salted caramel, cocoa butter, pistachio and vanilla. It's not sweet in a sickly way at all. I'm on my 4th bottle. That should tell you everything you need to know.

dreading the day my frontal lobe develops fully and this becomes cloying and like beer but not in a good way. rn it smells like pistachio ice cream and caramel and flowers

This is the perfect blend of caramel notes and floral. It’s not as strong but a lovely scent and I can’t say anything bad about it honestly

Warm, yummy, and all of its note blend together so well without one overpowering the other. I just wish it lasted longer on the skin

This is a great fragrance mist especially for layering with other scents . It is a tad bit overpriced but a good scent nonetheless .

so yummy oh my goodness this mist is addictive and so unique. this scent reminds me of summer, literally. BELIEVE THE HYPE ^_^
