Cheirosa '76

If a spritz of this scent suddenly appeared in front of my nose, I wouldn't have guessed that it's a body spray. Flowerbomb is one of my favorite fragrances, so I'm glad to have a cheaper alternative that reminds me somewhat of Flowerbomb. I didn't get After Hours in time, so I hope 76 really is reminiscent of After Hours - at least in my memory of testing it. I wanted to love this body spray, because I was born in 1976, and it doesn't disappoint, I love black currant, vanilla, and patchouli, and I've been wanting a scent with pear in it. When I tested 76 in the shop, it lasted and projected well for 4+ hours after, which is good for a body spray. Definitely a cool weather fragrance. Since Dad (b.1943) hates fragrances, I can't say if it leans masculine, and will remind some people of Dad (grandpa if you're younger than me)- fragrances. My husband (b.1968), is a casual fragrance junkie, and he's the person who got me into fragrances. His tastes: Calvin Klein Eternity For Men, Van Gils Between Sheets, Van Gils Basic Instincts, a few Hugo Boss bottles of - Hugo, Bottled (endless flankers) and the most repurchased: YSL L'Homme, but I'm pretty sure the opening of 76 is nothing like any of my husband's fragrances. Hub had Calvin Klein Obsessed for men, and maybe I can pick up the ghost of the base of Obsessed fm, because 76 and Obsessed For Men, have Amberwood and Patchouli in the base, in common. I don't consider myself as someone who can pull of masculine fragrances, but I feel confident about 76 being decidedly feminine on me. Everyone's skin chemistry is different though.

When I sniffed this at Sephora, I had no idea of the notes, and I'm glad for that, because I never would have tried it if I had. I haaaaate patchouli. We are mortal enemies. Any fragrance that has patchouli, even if people describe it as "not a prominent patchouli note," absolutely screams hippie in a headshop directly into my nostrils, overpowering everything else. It's the only reason I can't wear Black Opium. But let me tell you, the patchouli in this is a whisper that just adds depth, rather than a scream. I don't get any fruitiness from this; I'm as surprised to find out there's blackcurrant in this as I am to see patchouli listed. To my nose, the main players are woody notes, jasmine, and just a kiss of vanilla. It's not very sweet. The vanilla is kind of a dry, powdery vanilla. It's a little bit sexy and, to me, best suited as a nighttime fragrance. It also reminded me of something I couldn't place until I saw the "reminds me of." It's BBW's Into the Night, except way better.

I love this scent, this is one of my favourite scents ever, I wish it came in an edp. It smells very mysterious, magical and whimsical to me. I get an airy, baby powdery, clean, blueberry and dark forest berry scent with a touch of tangy raspberry from this with a bit of patchouli in the base and a little caramel and vanilla. It’s dark and mysterious but also fresh, powdery clean and day time appropriate at the same time. It really remindes me of flower bomb mixed with Versace crystal noir but with blueberry, the blueberry scent is so prominent that I’m surprised it’s not in the notes. I think if you like Mugler angel you would love this to, it doesn’t smell like it, but it is a gourmand fruitchouli like angel but not as in your face or cloying at all. And if you like Versace crystal noir or flower bomb you will definitely love this, it would be nice to layer with.

I felt in love with this perfume, which was given to me by surprise. I absolutely love masculine perfumes, but obviously, they are not everyone’s cup of tea for sure. I used to wear Diesel Loverdose, Fuel For life non stop in my 20s. So, I kind of grew on strong perfume, this is my obsession. So, this is safe blind buy who loves spicy and sweet in the same time as well as strong and powerful perfumes. This is love forever. And of course, it does reminds Black Opium for sure 😍 Let me warn you, it’s so seductive so it’s easy to overspray, but remember a little goes a long way. One spray is more than enough. And those who wrote that they don’t get the smell after couple of hours, ask someone else to smell you and the smell will be there for sure ! It’s normal not to hear your perfume after couple of hours, but, believe me, it’s still there. 10|10

why do all the fragrances i am obsessed with have such a poor longevity?? oh god, it lasts on my skin like an hour, maybe one and a half tops. lasts longer on clothes but the scent is still so faint 😩 WHY?!?! cheirosa 76 is SUCH A GOOD blend, I LOVE IT. in comparison to the other cheirosa perfume mists, this one is definitely deeper and mysterious. it's like that one gorgeous woman you briefly met at a tiki bar at night. she's beautiful and sensual but also easy-going. OH HOW I WISH IT LASTED LONGER 😫 i cannot really describe how this scent makes me feel. i'm just so intrigued. it's dark fruits and smooth earthy vanilla. in my opinion, this is definitely a feminine fragrance for evenings. please sol de janeiro, make this an eau de parfum please please please 🥹
