Cheirosa '76

If a spritz of this scent suddenly appeared in front of my nose, I wouldn't have guessed that it's a body spray. Flowerbomb is one of my favorite fragrances, so I'm glad to have a cheaper alternative that reminds me somewhat of Flowerbomb. I didn't get After Hours in time, so I hope 76 really is reminiscent of After Hours - at least in my memory of testing it. I wanted to love this body spray, because I was born in 1976, and it doesn't disappoint, I love black currant, vanilla, and patchouli, and I've been wanting a scent with pear in it. When I tested 76 in the shop, it lasted and projected well for 4+ hours after, which is good for a body spray. Definitely a cool weather fragrance. Since Dad (b.1943) hates fragrances, I can't say if it leans masculine, and will remind some people of Dad (grandpa if you're younger than me)- fragrances. My husband (b.1968), is a casual fragrance junkie, and he's the person who got me into fragrances. His tastes: Calvin Klein Eternity For Men, Van Gils Between Sheets, Van Gils Basic Instincts, a few Hugo Boss bottles of - Hugo, Bottled (endless flankers) and the most repurchased: YSL L'Homme, but I'm pretty sure the opening of 76 is nothing like any of my husband's fragrances. Hub had Calvin Klein Obsessed for men, and maybe I can pick up the ghost of the base of Obsessed fm, because 76 and Obsessed For Men, have Amberwood and Patchouli in the base, in common. I don't consider myself as someone who can pull of masculine fragrances, but I feel confident about 76 being decidedly feminine on me. Everyone's skin chemistry is different though.

When I sniffed this at Sephora, I had no idea of the notes, and I'm glad for that, because I never would have tried it if I had. I haaaaate patchouli. We are mortal enemies. Any fragrance that has patchouli, even if people describe it as "not a prominent patchouli note," absolutely screams hippie in a headshop directly into my nostrils, overpowering everything else. It's the only reason I can't wear Black Opium. But let me tell you, the patchouli in this is a whisper that just adds depth, rather than a scream. I don't get any fruitiness from this; I'm as surprised to find out there's blackcurrant in this as I am to see patchouli listed. To my nose, the main players are woody notes, jasmine, and just a kiss of vanilla. It's not very sweet. The vanilla is kind of a dry, powdery vanilla. It's a little bit sexy and, to me, best suited as a nighttime fragrance. It also reminded me of something I couldn't place until I saw the "reminds me of." It's BBW's Into the Night, except way better.

I love this scent, this is one of my favourite scents ever, I wish it came in an edp. It smells very mysterious, magical and whimsical to me. I get an airy, baby powdery, clean, blueberry and dark forest berry scent with a touch of tangy raspberry from this with a bit of patchouli in the base and a little caramel and vanilla. It’s dark and mysterious but also fresh, powdery clean and day time appropriate at the same time. It really remindes me of flower bomb mixed with Versace crystal noir but with blueberry, the blueberry scent is so prominent that I’m surprised it’s not in the notes. I think if you like Mugler angel you would love this to, it doesn’t smell like it, but it is a gourmand fruitchouli like angel but not as in your face or cloying at all. And if you like Versace crystal noir or flower bomb you will definitely love this, it would be nice to layer with.

I felt in love with this perfume, which was given to me by surprise. I absolutely love masculine perfumes, but obviously, they are not everyone’s cup of tea for sure. I used to wear Diesel Loverdose, Fuel For life non stop in my 20s. So, I kind of grew on strong perfume, this is my obsession. So, this is safe blind buy who loves spicy and sweet in the same time as well as strong and powerful perfumes. This is love forever. And of course, it does reminds Black Opium for sure 😍 Let me warn you, it’s so seductive so it’s easy to overspray, but remember a little goes a long way. One spray is more than enough. And those who wrote that they don’t get the smell after couple of hours, ask someone else to smell you and the smell will be there for sure ! It’s normal not to hear your perfume after couple of hours, but, believe me, it’s still there. 10|10

why do all the fragrances i am obsessed with have such a poor longevity?? oh god, it lasts on my skin like an hour, maybe one and a half tops. lasts longer on clothes but the scent is still so faint 😩 WHY?!?! cheirosa 76 is SUCH A GOOD blend, I LOVE IT. in comparison to the other cheirosa perfume mists, this one is definitely deeper and mysterious. it's like that one gorgeous woman you briefly met at a tiki bar at night. she's beautiful and sensual but also easy-going. OH HOW I WISH IT LASTED LONGER 😫 i cannot really describe how this scent makes me feel. i'm just so intrigued. it's dark fruits and smooth earthy vanilla. in my opinion, this is definitely a feminine fragrance for evenings. please sol de janeiro, make this an eau de parfum please please please 🥹

Gorgeous and soft, warm scent cloud. Doesn't shout as long as you don't overspray. It's in the same family as the fruitchoulis like Angel, La Vie Est Belle, and Flowerbomb, but a lot softer on the patch and sugar than any of those. I get a lot of amber from this one kind of like SDJ #40, but #76 is floral-fruity rather than vanilla. This one has really grown on me! Actually, the whole brand has. Other than being overpriced, I really like what they have to offer. There's a tropical vibe to all their scents but not always LITERAL with the coconut/pineapple tropes. Performance is good for a body spray but I prefer not to spend $25 for 3oz... Sometimes I find these at a local flea market for $15 and I stock up!

me & this fragrance go together sooo bad <3 It’s such a sexy nighttime fragrance that’s perfect for date nights or going out all dressed up. It’s got a beautiful blend of jasmine with the cassis & pear that sits so lovely the skin. The caramel note that comes out in the dry down is done so well since it’s much more milky rather than the burnt caramel sugary note in Cheirosa 71. The milky caramel just works perfectly with the patchouli and jasmine. This scent is just so sexy on the skin & has great sillage! I love herrrrrr 🫶 so underrated I also feel like there’s something about this that is similar to La Belle edp from Gaultier! I love that fragrance so I would try Cheirosa 76 if you enjoy La Belle :)

this was my gateway scent into the world of fragrance. a friend gave me a test spray of his 76 bottle, then he let me keep it cuz i loved it so much (he prefers SDJ40 anyway :P), and since then i've been hyperfixated on fragrances! it's fruity and floral but not in a super youthful or girlish way; it keeps a sexy mature edge to it thanks to the amber & patchouli. it doesn't last very long on my skin, but it lasts VERY long on clothes -- i could still smell it on one of my t-shirts at least three days after spraying it on! i just wish SDJ would make more products with this scent the way they have for their other ones... like, give me a 76 perfume version or a body cream, i beg of you!!

I’m surprisingly obsessed with this one. I really liked it first spray and it has grown on me over the last 6 months or since release. I don’t even like patchouli and I don’t like flowerbomb so I can’t really explain why I love this other than the caramel really comes through on me and it’s just so well blended. It hangs around on me but I suppose it’s bc I’m a little sensitive to some of the notes. It also has a touch of 59 which is also one of my favorites. I don’t layer this scent much bc when I do I just go nose blind or find that i can’t really smell the spray. I hope they never get rid of this.

surprised theres no gourmand notes here, another reviewer said that it smells like vanilla ice cream and i agree! it reminds me of late summer nights sitting outside the ice cream shop in the little outside tables, licking the ice cream off the cone as it melts into your lap, right next to some flower bushes the dry down gives more of the ambergris, but the ice creaminess doesnt really go away overall, it starts off fruity and floral, then its mostly vanilla ice cream with some jasmine and ambergris in the background

sprayed this in store and COULD NOT stop smelling my wrist; went ahead and bought it right then bc i loved this so much. its doesn't smell like cheirosa 40 but there's something similar between them, i like that one as well but not quite as much as this one. the fruit in this is so gorgeous, i think anybody from a high schooler to a senior citizen could enjoy this. really, really well done. longevity and projection are not worries of mine; i wear perfume for me mostly so its only faint to other people anyways.

I don’t understand why people are being such hateful with this scent, is not bad at all, yes it is something already done before and very flowery. But this is not repulsive like other people have said. This is similar to Cosmic from Kylie jenner which is mid but it also has a very comforting creamy base, it smells almost familiar to me, almost like a flashback from the past, it feels like a warm hug from someone you trust @kkktina03 stop trying to make Cheirosa 39 happen, it’s gone for a reason 😩

I originally returned After Hours and gave it a pretty harsh review, but decided to get this version to see in the formula has changed. I do smell subtle differences. This version is less punchy with the black currant and smoother at the top with a cleaner patchouli note in the base. I also get more whip cream than I recall with After Hours. It’s so dreamy layered with Burberry Goddess. Edit - not dupes but super similar to mod vanilla - this is another great layering combo! I like it!

Oh, this is stunning. Juicy & sparkly with the Blackcurrant & Jasmine, then it becomes dark & sexy as the patchouli & woods creep in, while still remaining sweet from the caramel & vanilla. I agree its a „love or hate“ type of scent which really does not make it blind buy worthy. Havent tried flowerbomb so im not sure if its a dupe or not. Longevity & sillage is pretty good for a body mist, will definetly repurchase coz its a good standalone scent and also good for layering

This is a beautiful year-round fragrance. It's rich, delicious, and heady without being headache-inducing. Since it is a body spray, the longevity is a little weak, so you might need to reapply once or twice throughout the day. I love the juicy currants combined with the white florals and amber, but I also pick up on a rich vanilla note even though vanilla isn't listed. Perhaps that's just how it reacts with my skin chemistry, but I definitely notice it, and it is lovely!

My absolute favourite from SDJ. I was in love with After Hours but when it was not available anymore, I was totally heartbroken. Now when we have it as a normal line, I immediately bought a full 240ml bottle. It is much more sophisticated than any other SDJ spray. Although 40' is amazing as per my taste, this one is a real fragrance with deep jasmin and ambergris notes. Give it a try and you will not regret it if you like jasmin night scents.

This smells better during warmer seasons. This perfume takes on a different identity during the winter. In the summer/fall it has a much more noticeable touch of 59. I can def see the flowerbomb comparisons however I like this more. This is not suitable for anyone sensitive to dark ambers or patchouli although I’m not a patchouli fan and find this tolerable. For some reason I like this odd little spray.

Flowerbomb was my favorite perfume for a while, but then they changed its formula and I didn't like it anymore. This is reminiscent of what FB was in its prime. It smells so juicy from the pear with black currant and blended with the freesia has such a feminine vibe. I love it. One of the best SdJ body mists. Also has a good lasting power. If you are a fan of FB this is a safe blind buy.

It's powdery and floral in a dark way. Like baby powder and black current. But it's smells amazing! I've never smelt anything like it, and as a goth, I love how its still dark, but it's not strong or musky like other dark perfumes. And although is definitely for women, I will say you can definitely get away with wearing it if your a man. As it's not overly floral and feminine.

My second favorite Cheirosa body spray after '62. It is SUCH a pretty, sweet evening floral scent. I think it has similar vibes to '59 in that they both don't quite fit the sunny, tropical, and youthful 'blonde extroverted girl' vibe of the other Cheirosa perfumes. It instead gives me the energy of a beautiful, long, dark-haired introverted night owl. I love it!

Wow. I didn’t expect the hate but honestly this is stunning. It is a flowerbomb dupe but i still love it. I’m glad that sol de janeiro is doing something different from their usual sweet gourmand or fruity scents (which I also love). I’m hoping we get more variety in scent profiles in the future. I personally love the direction they’re going

Sweet and soft with a warm creamy floral touch that blends it together. I love black currant and sweet cassis scents and this is powdery and soft but still fresh. Overall I like this scent and don't see the hate. It does smell like mod vanilla and flower bomb had a baby, but that doesn't change my opinion.

kinda fell in love with this first try in store. personally find it lasts pretty long on me and dries on my skin so yummy. its a very multi layered scent, sweet, powdery , floral with a tinge of spice at the end. one spray goes a long way. pleasantly surprised by how much I love this scent!

powdery jasmine, black currant, and amber all in one??? this fragrance was made for me! it's a fairly poignant scent that i can wear day to day and out to dinner (or even the club!). i wish it lasted a bit longer, but it is a body mist so you get what you pay for.

Smells lovely, but unfortunately it’s not as intense and powerful as other Cheirosas. It is a very beautiful fruity floral, without being too juvenile. It is a very intimate fragrance, I imagine would be lovely for layering with other fragrances.

Haven't read/heard it anywhere from anyone else... but to my nose this smells veeeery similiar to and almost like Sundays in Rio (which I love). Weird. Maybe they mixed up the fluids an I have SIR in my Cheriosa 76 bottle :D

I really love this fragrance. I spray these body mists at night, when I am home feeling blah, or to layer. This one is nicely refreshing, especially in winter. I really love the blackcurrant/freesia/amber wood combo.

This one is honestly much better than I expected. It's my favorite of the 5 Sol scents that I own. It smells like a dark floral fruit combo. It feels very seductive. I feel sexier wearing it!

I'm so ready for this because I only have about 5ml of after hours left. Layers in my hair beautifully with viktor&rolf flowerbomb on my skin and clothes. I cant wait for this to come back

This smells SO yummy, young, sweet, its so nice! Its certainly not unique or interesting but it's very nice. It definitely reminds me of Flowerbomb, it's a very familiar scent.

THIS SMELLS SO GOOD. This is definitely a nighttime scent. Very dark and sexy, but so hard to describe. Idk what's up with the sdj perfumes being so hard to describe 🤷🏽♀️

You can wear it during the day, but it's more of a night time scent. It's sophisticated, sexy and clean. Doesn't fill the room though and sits close to skin.

So so so so good!!! Even better than 59 🤤😍 What I get on my skin is polar opposite of the notes. NO florals on me, I get sweet cookies.

Sweet, warm, fruity, woody, vanilla, powdery, floral, caramel, creamy, softly spicy, feminine, romantic, sensual, seductive, sultry, flirty, charming, whimsical, delightful, dreamy, tempting, inviting, cozy, comforting On me this opens fruity and floral with sweet black currant and syrupy pear with some powdery vanilla, lush jasmine, and fresh and clean freesia. The dry down is really lovely as it gains this sweet and woody warmth of the golden woody warmth of amberwood, sweet, creamy, and rich caramel, and earthy and woody patchouli which add a nice depth. The first time I sprayed this I was immediately reminded of another fragrance, and to my surprise it was Flowerbomb. I’m not usually so struck by a resemblance to where I can identify it so much almost instantly, so they’re really quite similar to my nose. There’s a similarity to YSL Black Opium too, but no where near as close as Flowerbomb is. They share the woody/earthy vanilla base as well as notes of pear and jasmine. I’m a big fan of SDJ products, and own all of their permanent scents, as well as the majority of their limited edition ones too. My top 5 favorites are Summer é Amor, 39, 62, 40, and 59. My least favorites are Dança Mística, Agua Mística, and 68. 76 is deepest, most woody, and most floral of all of the SDJ mists so far. It feels different from most of the Sunny, beachy, warm, and gourmand scents they typically have. There’s nothing beachy or summer-y feeling with this one at all. In comparison to their other mists this definitely comes off as a nighttime scent, but is fitting for day or night. This feels best suited for the cooler and colder weather of fall, winter, and early spring, but would also be pretty as a nighttime scent during the summer. It feels suitable for most occasions from casual, to work and/or school, and date nights. For reference, some of my favorite fragrances include Kayali Yum Boujee Marshmallow, Vanilla 28, The Wedding Silk Santal, Vanilla Candy Rock Sugar, Yum Pistachio Gelato, PDM Oriana, Kilian LDBS, Princess, GDT Celeste, Gucci Flora Gorgeous Orchid, Burberry Goddess, The 7 Virtues Vanilla Woods, YSL Black Opium Le Parfum, Black Opium Glitter, D&G The One Desire, Ellis Brooklyn Marshmallows, VS Vanilla Lace (OG), B&BW Beach Nights, Boardwalk Marshmallow Clouds, Fireside Flurries, Whipped Honey & Vanilla

Pretty, floral, sweet, fruity, flirty, warm, woody, softly spicy, and sensual. Wow this is a lot more floral than I had expected. It’s surprisingly actually very similar to Flowerbomb. I feel like I’m picking up on some patchouli even though I don’t see it listed anywhere in the notes... however, it is listed in the notes for After Hours. I think the After Hours notes actually fit better considering it also has pear, vanilla, whipped cream, caramel, and amberwood. Along with the jasmine, freesia, and patchouli I’m also getting vanilla, whipped cream, a little caramel, and some warm and woody Amber. Overall, I do like this one, but it’s definitely not my favorite of the line. If you’re a fan of Flowerbomb you’ll almost certainly love this. I think it’s a bit more fruity than the original Flowerbomb, but not really in the direction of Ruby Orchid. Just like a slightly softer Flowerbomb. I’m really surprised at how similar the two are... like close enough for me to consider this a dupe. I do get great performance with Cheirosa 76, even with it being a body mist. The longevity is really good, it lasts throughout the majority of the day on me. The projection is very nice too, it radiates out at least a few feet from me. If I’d use more than just 2-3 sprays it would be more like several feet. So, I’m definitely considering this a great value. For reference, some of my favorite florals include Coach Love (original 2012 version), Coach Legacy, Coach Poppy Blossom, Coach Wild Flower, Flowerbomb Ruby Orchid, Flowerbomb Nectar, Flowerbomb Tiger Lily, and Chloe Love Story.

After reading the reviews of this i expected to not really enjoy it since i dont like heavy florals, mostly the "grandma" smelling ones. (No hate to grandmas💀✋) But this isnt annoying or too heavy and doesnt smell like a grandma atleast to me? I mean obviously it smells floral, its not a gourmand. To me it smells sour, floral and kinda juicy, its fresh and sexy in some ways. My boyfriend said it reminds him of a sour sweet juicy cheery, i think i can kinda see it too. Compared to other "night out" scents and mostly to Black Opium, i wouldnt really say that this is a night/evening only scent, to me its more of a day scent in some way? Black opium is stronger obviously and has that coffe/vanilla note, while 76 is way more fruity/juicy and less spicy. Would i say that they are similar? Not really, maybe only a tiny bit. Overall i pretty much like this, even tho theres some better scents that SDJ has to offer, but in some occasions i know that i will enjoy this a lot! Im not really sure why people are hating on this, yea its a floral perfume, but its deff not that overpowering to be so hated. As a person who doesnt like heavy florals i can say that this deff isnt that bad.

when I first sprayed this on my clothes/skin the immediate first impression of the top notes was more like the cranberry tea you would get at the Vienna Christmas markets rather than blackcurrant. Shortly after 30 seconds of spraying I immediately got hit with the jasmine middle notes in the fragrance which was much stronger compared to the top notes and it lasted a good hour and a half before it faded to a more wood like fragrance which didn't really smell like ambergris but more like a subtle musk and pine logs next to a fireplace in a wooden cabin during a snowy day in the winter. however, with the base notes I can still pick up the very faint cranberry smell in the fragrance while wearing it on my clothes rather than skin. with the notes in the fragrance along with its impression this overall makes a good fruity Christmas scent to add to your collection for those who lean towards fruity scents and definitely try layering this with Lacomes La Nuit Tresor if you want to add a Smokey and mature twist to this scent :)

Without looking at the notes, I thought it smelled a lot like blueberry gum! Now I see that the fruit is actually blackcurrant, but I still think it smelt like blueberry gum. I know I've said it about nearly every Cheirosa scent I've tested, but THIS one is my favourite! Honestly, that'll probably change next time I test one, but consider it this one for now. This is for a very niche audience. I doubt many will appreciate this one. This smells like the summers of the 2000s! I can't help but feel nostalgic smelling it. It is a DAY scent, not a night scent, in my opinion, even though it was originally named 'After Hours'. Many say it smells a bit floral, which I can smell, and like 'Black Opium' which I can NOT smell. Overall, I think this scent might get a bit tiring after a while, so I'd advice testing before buying (no blind-buy) but it is one of the more laidback scents of Sol De Janeiro. Also does anyone know why they got those numbers?

I love this scent. When I first received the bottle, I thought it was much too sweet, but I have discovered that there's so much more to it than that. The caramel and the black currant and the jasmine combine into an intoxicating smell of a summer's night out. To me, '76 smells like an August night out at the bar. It smells like one too many vodka crans, pulling your friend closer to you on the dance floor to tell her how much you love her. It smells like sitting on the curb of the sidewalk while your friend smokes. '76 is sweet in the way youth is sweet. The back of the bottle says that "Cheirosa 76 captures the dazzling 1976 Discotheque era of Brazil." I was not alive in 1976, nor have a ever been to Brazil, but I do think this fragrance contains the essence of being swept up in the music and the fun of a warm summer night. On a side note, I need them to make the matching lotion for this fragrance. I need it bad.

Smells like a considerably younger and more vibrant Black Opium. I don't care for most of SDJ's fragrances, but I really like this one. Not getting the grandma vibe at all.... 76 leans more toward a sophisticated perfume vs. a super sweet and fruity body spray. (It's very different in that regard, so I can see how many find it unappealing!) There is a touch of fruitiness present with the top notes, but I get mostly jasmine, amber and vanilla. The dry down is heavenly and suitable for any time of day or season. If you feel like SDJ's scents skew too juvenile or that Black Opium is too heavy/cloying for casual wear, you'll probably enjoy this. I especially like it paired with Nemat's Amber EDP or Mod Vanilla. :)

I sooooo wanted this one to be my all time favorite SDJ scent and to beat my nr. 1 favorite 71 but sadly that little alcohol-y dried out scent at the end kinda ruined it 🫤 It's still great, since is one of the less youthful scents that usually SDJ goes for, it's more mature and refined along 40 and 71 but there's just something in it that kinda bugs me a bit. I will try to wear it even more, maybe i can gaslight myself that i actually love it but i highly doubt it...😅 Oh man i soooo wanted this one to be my favorite SDJ scent since the notes sounded dreamy and i've been waiting for this scent to arrive since it got leaked on trendmood🥲

I really enjoy this one, but I realized it smells a lot like my Nest Vanilla Bourbon because of the sweet vanilla-y amber and night blooming jasmine. I love the rich fruity blackcurrant, it lingers close by after first spray. There is some woodiness on the dry down, but it is mostly a rich, sweet scent. Not sure if it is worth it for me to get when I already have rich vanilla and night blooming jasmine from Vanilla Bourbon... but the fruit aspect is certainly more summery, and I’ve got really no summer scents!! Definitely my favorite of the SDJ I’ve smelled so far, more sophisticated to me.

Wow, this smells incredible! On the first whiff, I got royal milk tea, and a few hours later, it dried down to a sweet vanilla scent. It’s surprisingly gourmand and lactonic to my nose, which is wild given the listed notes. I expected it to resemble Margiela’s Sailing Day based on how it smelled in the bottle, but it turned out to be completely different. Also, I truly despise the famous floral-choulis like Flowerbomb and La Vie Est Belle, so I’m surprised this is being compared to them—it feels far less strong or perfumey to me.

had this, wore it once, hated it and sold but. but last week suddenly fell in love with this after dousing myself in it drunk before a festival at a friends house. this is so beautiful, and i let the currant scare me away for the longest time. once it dries, im left with this rich and sexy scent that’s almost natural.. it’s reminiscent of the dry down of cheirosa 62 to me but a little cleaner.. it lays the same in the hair and dries down to such a rich and subtle scent. the first few minutes are worth it.

I received this as a gift and I was thrilled because I hadn't even tried it before. At first "sniff" there's a lot going on, it's a little indecisive, but after reading the notes of black currant and jasmine I smell it. But there's something a little bit off about this mist, difficult to describe. And I don't know if my nose stopped working, but I feel like when I spray this on it just disappears. I can smell a hint of it, but then there's just nothing. All in all, I like it, but wouldn't buy it myself!

A nice fragrance, smells good, crowd-pleaser. Nothing is too loud. Not a unique fragrance but good. To my nose, I would say this is a dark berry fruit mixed with amber. So if you are not a fan of either of those I don't think you will like this. When I look for it I smell the faint sweetness of a rich vanilla salted caramel, as well as the patchouli . But again the main notes are dark berry and amber. Definietly youthful, for a girl in her teens or early 20s. So I probably won't repurchase.

a sweeter, watered down flowerbomb. kind of has a strong alcohol scent towards the opening (dies down in seconds, i think this is something i find in most mists though), very caramelly at first but dries down to a creamy patchouli. i received this as a gift from a family member and while i wouldn't think buy it for myself, given flowerbomb is the first fragrance i fell in love with, i'll definitely continue to use this!

Yesterday I sprayed this on a card and am reviewing the scent of it today. It smells Christmas-y to me, in a subtle way. Granted I have just smelled some of the other SDJ scents, which are decidedly more gourmand/fruity, so maybe the fact that I'm picking up the aromatic/woody notes is emphasized by comparison to those. But I wrote in my notes about this one, before looking it up, "pine, sweet, Christmas, I like it"
