Refresco Paraíso

Aromatic, fresh, and slightly fruity. I was very scared that this would be too fruity or sweet. While 48 is nice, I was really hoping this would be a fresh scent. All those incentivized reviews really scared me with the fruity notes.. However, I was pleasantly surprised - the banana leaf blends in well (i had an unpleasant experience with MJ daisy wild); and the salt is not overpowering. I cannot pinpoint what exact tropical fruit is used, but it is definitely not the star of the show. There is an initial second of juicy sweetness, but it dries down to a fresh, green, and slightly citrusy scent. The orchid rounds it out perfectly. The cactus note is quite interesting - if you read how this note is synthesized, it explains the dewy/rainy aspect of the mist. Of course slightly synthetic, but completely different from sdj's usual gourmand bombs. Someone on sephora said it was evoking of where the sea meets the jungle, and I agree. This, along with agua mistica from last year, are the best mists from sdj for a hot summer day.

I wish this wouldn't be limited because I spray this on me a lot lately. It has this sweet fruity scent mixed with this freshness and lightness that makes it soo fitting for warm summer days without being too much. It's very juicy on me I get a lot of the banana leaves and cactus, complimented by that fresh marine note. I don't really get the lime much but maybe it adds to the freshness. It sits rather close to the skin but when spraying a good amount people next to me/ hugging me complimented the scent :) It's not very long lasting, but it's a body spray so I didn't expect it to. I have it in my bag and can refresh it from time to time. Pairs well with most fruity light summery scents. This summer this is my absolute go to body spray!

this is my fav release from the destination drop... i was worried i wasn't going to like it since the whole marketing seemed like it was going to be another danca mistica (the worst sdj after 59) but it surprised me .. its so clean , fruity, fresh and crisp. to my nose I get a lot of fruit and the smell of green which i'm guessing is the cactus? lol but the tropical notes listed has to be dragon fruit and like a very green banana. it's seriously soo good i hope they consider this for a permanent cheirosa and i will be stocking up on it while i can but i see it being the least popular next to cheeky biquini and limonada gelada :'( (still waiting for them to bring back carioca crush!!!) 🌵🍐

This is so good. It smells like the color on the bottle. Like an ocean blue. Makes me wanna bounce in the ocean like a dolphin. Picture me hopping and diving and cackling like a dolphin. Picture me doin dolphin things. Just not the evil dolphin things. Dolphins are evil. If you think about it, if you say “A Dolphin”, you are actually saying something else. Get rid of the space between A and D in “A Dolphin” then add a space between the H and I. /D0IPH in Water. Who is in water? Ya. Now what are you really saying. Open your eyes Miami.

This is super pretty, it's my favourite from this year's limited editions and might be one of my favourites from SDJ overall. It's very refreshing and aquatic but fruity and juicy at the same time, and I don't get the feeling that I have smelled it over and over again before, like with some body mists. Not too sweet at all for the hot weather. Also has surprisingly good longevity.

I love this one! Some people mentioned that it leans masculine; I truly don't get that at all (and I can't wear a lot of unisex fragrances because they lean too masculine on me). It's very fresh with an aquatic note. Very unique and performs well. The sea notes and cactus are most prominent to my nose, but I get a hint of lime in the opening. Perfect for hot summer days :)

I tried it at a store and later that day i ordered it. It is a very spa like scent- smells very sweet but fresh and for some reason like coconut on my skin(it could be bc of my skin). It projects well and lingers for 5-6 hours <33 Not a safe blind buy because of its green and marine tendency.

This is so 90s inspired! it has a cucumber melon vibe without it being a dupe. Very refreshing and has just a tad bit of sweetness to it. I didn’t like it at first but it’s honestly really good!

This is so good, it’s my favorite of the drop by far. Refreshing dewy green floral (maybe lotus?)

this smells like a wet succulent garden

Green, tropical, marine, fruity, fresh, aromatic, citrusy, vibrant, radiant, feminine, refreshing, crisp, softly sweet, unique On me this opens very green and refreshing with a twist of crisp, fresh lime. As it starts drying down the fruity tropical fruits, fresh and green banana leaf, and marine sea notes come through. The dry down intertwines a green and juicy cactus note with a soft skin musk. I bought the Destination Drop trio, and Refresco Paraíso is my least favorite of the 3, which is what I’d expected. It’s not bad, but just not overly my taste as it’s very green, and I typically prefer more sweet gourmand scents. Limonada Gelada took 1st place for me followed by Cheeky Biquíni, which are both very pretty. Refresco Paraíso is pretty too, and so perfect for hot weather because of how fresh, cool, and refreshing it is. I do really enjoy this whole trio though, and it’s sooo much better than last year’s! I’m a huge SDJ fan, and own almost all of their mists. My top 5 favorites are Summer è Amor, 62, 39, 40, and Limonada Gelada. My least favorites are Dança Mística, Aqua Mística, and 68. It is somewhat reminiscent of Cucumber Melon, or at least the refreshing feel of it. It does have a spa like vibe to it because of the prominent refreshing green scent. To me this feels feminine, and suitable for women of any age. I think this works best during the spring, and especially summer. It feels best suited for casual occasions, super hot days, and beach vacations. I get really good performance with Refresco Paraíso, especially considering it’s a mist. The longevity is on the moderate side as it lasts at least 5-6 hours on my skin. The projection is also moderate as it radiates out about an arm’s length from me. This is a fresh, gel deodorant, wet, a bit earthy from the dew.. scent. It’s going to be very refreshing on HOT summer days. It is NOT blind but safe. Leans a bit more masculine but I’m excited to wear this when the heat hits!

I'm so surprised people dislike this one. It's my favorite out of this year's lineup. It's almost like a fresh shower gel. Not too green or tart like I expected

absolutely beautiful!! for the 5 minutes that it lasts 🙃 it's a very refreshing cactus, lime, and banana leaf scent that melds together prettily but you have to reapply CONSTANTLY. i get that it's just a body mist but sol de janeiro has plenty of other body mists that last much longer so ̄_(ツ)_/ ̄ overall rating: 🩷🩷💔🖤🖤 2.5/5

I love it, it has such a unique and interesting smell that makes you wanna take it to a vacation, but oh lord why does it go away sooo fast??? I have some of their other famous sprays like 62 and 48 and they last much longer, such a disappointment for a quite high price for a body spray...

It's giving bathroom air freshener circa 2002. I'm a lover of clean scents and get nothing clean from this - quite the opposite, I find this scent sterile and sweaty at the same time. Shockingly, I don't hate it, I just don't love it nearly as much as the rest of this collection.

The comment below said it. Smells very hair gel like. Very cool like fresh water. Then turns more of a soap smell as it dries down. Definitely unisex leaning masculine. Like a men’s body spray. Just not one I’d like to smell on my man.

Better on paper than on skin. I really liked how the opening was refreshing and spa-like. After awhile it became a little screechy. Pretty good lasting power. Unisex leaning feminine.

Not exactly what I was expecting. I was thinking it would be a bit more aquatic. It kind of reminds me of a watermelon jolly rancher. Not my favorite.

When I first got this I started to wonder whether something might be wrong with my bottle because oh my goodness this smelt like my last visit to the dentist. Like extremely strong flashbacks to lying down on that dentist chair and the dentist doing dentist-things to my teeth. It was a weeeird strong smell, no appeal at all. Now I've let the bottle sit for about a month or so and it has gotten slightly less off-putting and it has turned softer, no longer giving off as much 'sharpness' as it did at first. Still not a good scent in my opinion but I don't have to scrub it off anymore, it seems to turn somewhat sweeter on my skin now. Somewhat masculine scent I feel but that is not a problem to me, maybe just my perception due to SDJ usually having sweeter scents, so masc by their standards I guess. If I walked by someone wearing a lot of this, and only this, I would think 'euughhh what on earth is that', but I've heard good things about layering this with other scents so that's worth trying in case you are undecided whether you like it or not! Currently sniffing my arm to try to gauge what I think while writing this and it keeps turning from 'hmm bearable. maybe wearable' to 'ugh ew' back to 'hmm bearable. maybe wearable'

Imagine dousing yourself with male Nivea shower gel and then running into a Scientology building on the hottest summer day. You sweat like crazy and then walk into a huge Ikea cactus. That's the best I can describe it. I feel like a male podcaster rn with the strong and sweaty note it has... Sweat de Janeiro truly...

Disappointed.. very weird scent. I get banana and sourness. Nothing breezy or fresh about this. There is a something milky that I hate in here too.

this smells like sour, curdled milk

it's pleasantly fresh at first and surprisingly unisex for a SDJ fragrance. unfortunately, this has a very noticeable undertone of sweat that becomes stronger the more it dries down. very disappointing.

It is very sour, almost like grapefruit. But somehow the sourness doesn't turn BO. It's very green and aquatic. You can definitely smell this exact scent if you go to the store and smell any cheap shampoo that is blue or green. That being said, it's very strong and lost lasting which I appreciate. And it does smell good and clean. Yes, men and women can both use it. I like it, but pass because it could potentially trigger a headache. Which is how I felt about the pink one too.

This was SOO fruity when I first sprayed it on my skin. I almost thought it was similar to the Armani passion fruit perfume. But then the dry down is lovely and refreshing and I finally got the tiny hint of banana and I am loving it!! I agree with everyone else who is happy to not have the same boring summer scent repeatedly. This is great!!

It smells like cucumber and watermelon, it's sweet and feminine. I'm going to buy this because there's no bath and body works where I live but I assume you could find something very similar there. I've had to stand in lines longer than this body spray lasts so it's kinda crazy what we're paying for body spray nowadays but here we are.

I was most looking forward to this scent in the line up. But something about it did not sit right on my skin. It is very sharp, sour and tart at the top, and the scent that it dried down to didn’t do much for me. A let down for me personally, but still worth getting your nose on.

Fresh and juicy, like a refreshing shower gel. Not masculine at all in my opinion. Pretty basic, but a good casual perfume for the gym. Update: I bought and returned this one as I just found it too generic, and gave me more home fragrance than personal fragrance vibes.

I quite like it but most reviews don’t make sense to me. Best way to describe it (in my opinion of course) is sour banana and I think it’s pretty cool!

This has an almost tomato leaf note to it, I personally love it but I can see how this could be divisive. It’s not sweet at all.
