Summer é Amor

Sweet, almond-y, nutty, vanilla, floral, bright, juicy, fruity, citrusy, warm, powdery, feminine, sensual, seductive, sexy, flirty, playful, charming, whimsical, dreamy, delightful, alluring, tempting, addictive, cheerful, inviting, cozy, comforting On me this opens with a burst of bright and juicy tangerine and sweet, powdery, and nutty almond intertwined with some citrusy and floral orange blossom and powdery and delicate vanilla orchid. The dry down is gorgeous! Sweetly decadent brown sugar, sensual vanilla, the golden warmth of amber, and soft woodsy notes join the citrusy, powdery, and nutty notes which become more subtle, while uplifting the sweet and warm base notes and making them really shine. I’m a huge fan of SDJ fragrances, and own all of the permanent line, as well as almost all of the limited editions. My top 5 favorites of these are Summer é Amor, 39, 62, 71, and 40. I do get similarities to 62, but still really enjoy having both in my collection as there are enough differences. 62 is more a more vanilla caramel scent that has stronger nutty notes, a more woody base, and a salty note. Summer é Amor is more citrusy and bright, with a soft orange blossom, and lacks the salted caramel and sandalwood base. This feels feminine to me, and suitable for women of all ages, even if it has a slightly youthful vibe to it. It feels perfect for casual occasions as well as for work and/or school. I think this works well throughout the whole year, and feels very uplifting. My favorite of the new 3 summer limited edition fragrances! Sweet, warm, creamy, feminine, yummy, and delicate. This is just such a gorgeous fragrance. I really pick up on the almond, orange blossom, brown sugar, vanilla, and amber. The woodsy notes become more noticeable after about an hour, but they’re soft and subtle. It’s just this really gorgeous, warm, softly woodsy, sweet vanilla floral almond scent that has a delicate and even elegant feel to it. I think it’s the most wearable out of the new SDJ trio... it’s a very easy reach and would work well throughout the whole year. I can’t get enough of it, I keep sniffing my wrists. I do think there is a similarity to Cheirosa 62, but only somewhat because they’re still pretty different scents imo. 62 is more deeply sweet, more gourmand, warmer, and a more creamy and delectable scent. Summer é Amor is lighter, brighter, and more delicate. It’s sweet, but not as creamy or deep. It’s centered around the beautiful almond note instead of pistachio and I think that makes a big difference. I do really love both fragrances and think that they are different enough to easily have both in your collection. I always get really good performance with SDJ mists, and Summer é Amor is no exception. The scent lasts throughout the entire day, and it projects out about an arm’s length from me. Just for reference, I own and love several SDJ fragrances (along with these 3 new ones) including Coco Cabana 39, Cheirosa 62, Rio Radiance 87, 59, 40, and the body cream in 68. The woodsy almond version of Cheirosa 62. I know Sol De Janeiro's brand is summer in a bottle but this is more of a fall/winter scent to me because it is so thick and sweet. The almond also pulls a little cherry on my skin. I tried it with Cheirosa 62, CH Good Girl, and Swiss Arabia’s Oud Tonka. These combos are complex. Each of them had a nutty and effervescent quality to it. This body spray was fun to layer with will, but be careful with lotions, it is fickle. I paired it with the Bum Bum cream and Dr. Teal’s almond body oil and it was lovely. But when I wore this with Jergan’s cherry almond lotion, the lotion just ate this body spray up and made it nonexistent. I love nutty scents, I own a lot of them, and this smelled very familiar to me. Finally I found its dupe, this is the body spray version of Carolina Herrera Good Girl Supreme. The performance is great, I get about six hours of wear with moderate projection. This is also beautiful worn in your hair. Overall a fun and sexy scent I would wear on a night out, but if you already have CH Good Girl Supreme you can pass on this.

I guess I can sort of see the comparison to SDJ 62.. but this is 10000 times better than 62. This is heavenly. The almond really adds this soft girly touch to this. It smells like a marzipan, which I've never really smelled in a perfume. It's one of their more unique scents in my opinion. It seems to last a good amount of time which is usual for SDJ. Even thought they're body sprays, I'm always shocked at the longevity. They last longer than some of my EDPs. This is for sure one of their best scents ever. I hope that it can come back next summer too, it's just so beautiful and it deserves to be brought back regularly. Also, I don't necessarily think it's only a summer scent. This could definitely be worn in any season. I think the almond note really helps it be versatile with any season.

More almond on clothes, and more tangerine with a hint of almond on my skin. I would say this is certainly not similar to 62 to me at all. The nutty note is completely different, and this is reading brighter, less gourmand. I like both and am glad I own both. I do like the strong almond scent this is giving off on my clothes better than the tangerine on my skin, but that is more a personal preference. The brown sugar is detectable in the dry-down as well, which is nice.

The dry down is absolutely beautiful! The opening isn’t my favorite with the almond note but it settles into a creamy warm floral shortly after the initial spray. The dry down is warm amber vanilla. I’m in love with this one! The almond and warmth remind me of a very light version of Good Girl, but I also smell some resemblance to SDJ 62. It’s not a dupe, but there are definitely similarities to both. Longevity was 5 hours with 4 sprays.

This is just Carolina Herrera good girl. It’s pretty, but it’s just a dupe of one of the CH good girl perfumes. Edit: it still is a dupe for CH but I kind of grew to really love this fragrance and I don’t think I have a favorite from this launch anymore, because now I have memories attached to each of the scents from this line. This was such a fun collection for me and I’ll be sad to see any of them go 😭

I love this one! It's fruity and florally, and not too almondy! Powdery scents aren't my favorite so I was afraid that the almond note would make this not as pleasant. Also, it's not too sweet. I will definitely be wearing this one a ton. Maybe my favorite of the three released this summer.

i LOVE this so much! blind bought it and i was scared because how much everyone was saying it smells like pure almond... and it doesn't. it smells so yummy, creamy, almondy, milky but summery and bright at the same time, it's crazy.

I was all for passing this up and ironically it’s become my favorite of the three limited editions from this summer. The brown sugar is warm and really lovely and delicious!

Opens like Cheirosa 62 and dries down as Good Girl. Interesting... And it’s sold out on most retailers in the U.K., so I suppose it’s a favourite here 🇬🇧

This is way better than good girl, and it’s not screechy like gg. This is mesmerizingly delicious smelling! Eye roll good 😊 so yummylicious!

if 62 is too sweet, or if 71 is too buttery/foody this is a good option. it’s like 62 but leans fruitier. the almond doesn’t smell like play dough which is what i was worried for. the only downside is that this has no longevity. i mean NONE!!! i don’t mind reapplying but it feels like a waste if it only lasts 10 minutes (if you’re lucky). DO NOTTTTTT pay resellers insane pricing, you’re going to be disappointed. i know it’s limited addition but if they made a matching body butter it would last so much longer, so i’m on the hunt for something that smells similar, if anyone has any recommendations please lmk !!! i do like it but i like their other body mists more, so overall based off of the longevity i have to give it a 6/10

Add me to the list of people who say this is the summer version of 62. What does it smell like? Bum Bum Cream, spritzed with Good Girl Supreme (minus the red berries), and a touch of hairspray. *others mentioned this, which I get as well It’s a nice scent, but I personally don’t need a summer version of 62. I will always love the OG, but I do get sick of it by the time summer rolls around. Sure, it’s lighter/more floral, but also so similar that I don’t feel like I need to own both. My teenage daughter was happy to take this off my hands though😆

This is nice! I will say, I do like the other two sprays better. But this isn’t bad. Very soft and pretty. I don’t think this resembles 62 as much as I thought it would... it reminds me of the hair milk, but not outside of that. I also don’t get good girl, or anything else here. This is a soft gourmand scent — the almond, brown sugar, amber and orchid are really prominent here. I don’t smell much orange blossom or woods. If you want something subtle and musky, this is the way to go.

It smells just the same as Cheirosa'62 mist! I know Sol De Janeiro's have their own signature notes in their scents that you can tell its theirs (the artificial sugary+nutty note) but this is just way too similar with the flagship scent of theirs. Maybe just a little lighter. I hope it dries down with a pleasant surprise. It is a nice scent for sure, but I feel a little bit fooled that now I have both, and there's nothing NEW in this Special Edition. Disappointed.

Fruity floral vanilla scent family. You might like this if you like perfumes such as Lancôme La Nuit Tresor or Dior Poison Girl. At first spray on my skin, I get a lot of orange blossom, orchid, and something like berry syrup (berry not official notes, but my nose picks up on something similar to that). I don’t get any tangerine at all. In the dry down, it smells like a smooth almond vanilla with just a hint of the florals.

Simple as Almond, tangerine and brown sugar! This reminds me of 62 but with tangerine. The tangerine and almond stays the full wear. To my nose it’s a sweet creamy citrus . Not a huge fan of tangerine in a fragrance but it’s similar to 62 which I love. I like it, just not Crazy over it.

It’s sweet and nutty and somehow still summery in the same way that SDJ ‘62 is. Except this is almond instead of pistachio. I can definitely tell it’s almond, this smells like delicious marzipan to me. I don’t get a lot of the florals, personally. This is a nice summer gourmand.

this definitely shares the cheirosa 62 dna. it also reminds me a lot of b&bw gingham glow, only gingham glow gives me a headache, and summer e amor doesn't. it's nice, i bet it'll be better when it gets warm out again

If you mixed Caroline Herrera good girl with the original cheirosa 62, you’d get Summer é Amor! It’s really nice, but you could definitely get the same effect by layering those two.

It reminds me of Perfect Intense by Marc Jacobs. Almond forward, sweet, a little bit suffocating in my opinion. Develops into an ambery white floral. I like it, but I don't love it.

i like it but it's nothing special. Very similar to 62 except for the almonds, florals and lack of the slight saltiness. I'm only keeping it because I ran out of my 62

As a gourmand lover, Summer é Amor is my least favorite from this 2024 summer collection. While I don't dislike it, I simply don't find it unique or exceptional. The prominent almond note is lovely, but the fragrance is too floral and not sweet enough for my taste. Still, this body mist manages to be sensual, sexy, and memorable. To my nose, it's a smoother version of SDJ Cheirosa 40—minus the plum and musk accord but with abundant almond. If you enjoy Carolina Herrera's Good Girl line, you'll love this Summer é Amor body mist, as they share similar characteristics.

This is very almond heavy, but quickly becomes very floral after spraying it. I don't think it smells like 62, but I do see why the nutty opening reminds people of it. It does pair well with the bum bum cream though. It's not my favourite out of the three, but it's probably the most long lasting. Also I think this is good for all seasons, it's still summery but not as beachy as the other two. Edit: I gave it to my mom and on her it smells almost identical to Cheirosa 62. On me it's way more floral.

Update: Received my bottle today. I love it! It is a lighter more floral version of 62. Perfect for me because as much as I love 62, I find it too cloying to wear in the dead heat of summer. I am so sad because i ordered it from the website and when it was shown as delivered to me it was nowhere to be found in my mailbox. Whoever has my bottle I hope you enjoy it 😏. Reordered another from Sephora and will update with a proper review.

A more floral version of SDJ ‘62 but the ‘62 EDP is MUCH nuttier. Not bad but too floral for me personally. Has minimal sillage and lasts about 5 hours. In terms of perfumes listed as similar— ❌ Lattafa Yara: heavier on tropical fruits, less on florals ❌ Ariana’s Cloud Intense: mich sharper, missing the subtle nuttiness ❌ Michael Kors Wonderlust: a very sharp floral scent

Never blind buy this... I sprayed this on half an hour ago but I still have a massive head ache. I get carolina, and no 62. This smells very plasticy, soapy, bitter, cat piss, cheap cookie flavor, $3 candle vibes scent. So disappointed PS. No, it doesn’t smell like velvet petals

I will preface this by saying that I LOVE Cheriosa 62, which many people compare this to. Unfortunately I hated this. It has such a strong almond opening, it was nauseating. It was an instant scrubber for me:(

First and foremost - I like this. When I first sprayed it, I really picked up on the almond which I enjoyed. I definitely like this more on the skin than I do on a blotter. It takes on a new life and it’s sweetness becomes more prominent. That being said, it is reminiscent of 62 with the element of some sweet florals and amped up almond. I’m not getting „fruity” from this at all, like some reviewers stated. To me, this is a warm, cozy, nutty and sweet scent. I find that 62 is lighter and brighter in some way, but this is really pleasant. It lingers for a nice long while and I kept catching whiffs of myself and wanting to re spray it. Truthfully, my favorite is still 59 because it’s a vanilla (which I love), but they managed to make it fresh and it even has sort of a watery element to it. It’s refreshing, clean and comforting to me. It makes me feel like I stepped out of an expensive spa. When I’m not wearing the spray, I’m slathering on the lotion and mixing it with other frags. Anyway, I will say that I like this a lot and I’ve been wearing it out and to bed as well. It’s pleasing, warm and yummy. I’ve mixed it with 62 and 59 and I’m a fan. Definitely fun.

I don't like this as of right now... It smells like hairspray to me. Perhaps it's the almond but it also smells old. I will update later on 8/29: I still don't like it I thought it would grow on me and it hasn't. Let me clear up what I meant by old: Dusty, wet old wood, burnt hair from a straightener. I don't like it. I don't get the comparisons to Good Girl either???? This has to be one of their worst releases. IM SORRY Update: 8/4/2025; I understand her now. It only took about a year for it to settle enough for me to like it. Oh god. She's a clean vanilla scent. It almost smells like laundry detergent. 8/10

This one is a little different from the rest in the LE range. At first spray, you get nice, light floral orchid and orange(tangerine)but this very quickly changes to a warm Almond forward scent. This is beautiful, creamy, vanilla orange almonds. In the dry down you still get the almond note but the vanilla comes forward even more- turning this into a creamy vanilla almond like lotion. If you add 62’s Almond to Tropical nights you will get something similar to this.

This smells like the younger sister of 62 and 71. She stole parts of her personality from each sister. 71 is her intoxicating, flirty, middle sister. While 62 is giving first daughter grown vibes. If there was a middle ground between these two scents she is it. The almond note it is very similar to the almond and overall scent of Dior hypnotic poison (Which I also own and smelled side by side). miss Reagan leans a little more lighter and floral.

On the first sniff I got reminded of an oldie VS scent that I adore. Well not just reminded. To my nose it smells almost identical to Passionate Kisses by Victoria's Secret. I loved that smell and if this develops the same then I will most likely buy it. I haven't yet gotten to the dry down but I see some people saying it will turn to a CH Good Girl dupe, which will disappoint me if it's true

I love this as a summer body spray to toss into my beach bag. Pretty, romantic, good for summer nights. Unfortunately, I frequently gave my friends and families headaches. I think it’s pretty, sweet, and youthful. But my loved ones say it’s wayyy too sweet and cloying. I had to retire it when my Lyft driver said I was giving him a migraine. Oh well!

I expected this to have more a punch to it like the others from the summer collection but it’s very light, I smell almond and florals but there’s something in the background that almost smells like fresh vegetables? (Bell peppers or cucumbers). This is definitely my least favorite out of the collection but it’s decent.

It is similar to 62 but with one or two things tweaked and lacks the “salted butter” smell. It’s 62 fused with 40.. if you like those you may like it or you’ll feel redundant owning it if you already have them. Same fragrance, different font.

this smells pleasant. smells like a smoothie i used to get years ago with almond milk and dates. it's similar to 62 but lighter and less sweet.

Reminds me of Van Cleef & Arpels Bois d’amande, a bit to woodsy for me. I don’t feel any of the orange blossom.

Summer É Amor is a fruity Cheirosa '62. If 62 is too much for you , this may be an option.

This is just cheirosa 62 with a bit more almond. And weaker. But the bottle is nice
