Bois de Oud

All the people saying they can't detect the oud need to smell Tom Ford's 'Oud Wood' which smells a little bit like this if it was blended with Valentino Uomo Intense. I love the sandlewood drydown and the sweet whiffs of iris and musk. For the price this stuff is wonderful, there is a very realistic animalic oud smell that really impresses me. Solinotes are very layerable and this one makes a great base note.

It literally smells like the inside of a Church, I LOVE it. Will update for the longevity but for this pricepoint it is a steal. Smells like a niche fragrance.

Smoky soft wood, not too dark, it combines a meditative sweetness with its churchy notes. To me it does have something serious, immobile, but also deep and even calming. I get mostly cedar, burning incense, dry sandalwood. Niche quality. Misleading name? Unisex, to my nose, though not mainstream enough to be mass appealing. Test carefully, then enjoy the little secret time.

This one smells the way I thought electric wood would smell based on people’s description of that fragrance. This one is very dry and woody with a strong iris note throughout. It’s dark dry, smoky wood chips. After the sharp wood chips settle down the scent becomes a quieter subtle iris musk in the dry down. Lasts a few hours

For the price this is pretty good. I really like the opening which start with a strong oud but it quickly fades and the drydown for me is just OK. Scent: 7/10 longevity: 3-5 hours if you if you overspray

A dark, wooden church. Slightly damp. There's lit incense and sacred oils on the gradine. Smells niche and realistic. Perhaps not mass appealing, but definitely has its charm.

this smells like straight up church incense. absolutely no oud in this. still nice thou.

At first, pleasant incense, rosewood, oud and rose scent. Soon enough it becomes a spice bomb all the way thru. Very masculine, strong, open area, nighttime perfume. Next day soft pleasant incense scent. Anything, but major spice part, it could have been tolerable.

I just bought this at H-E-B on clearance for $11. This smells like a rose wood, sweet scent. This is dark and vamp, but it’s wearable and feminine. If I was, this would definitely be my signature scent. This is 500 years by Etat without the curry/cumin note.
