Cotton Blossom

I'm obsessed with this. I bought this for one reason, and one reason only, and that was because people were saying it smelled like Nivea cream. Now there does exist a Nivea eau de toilette, but it runs expensive in the US, especially for an EDT. As someone that huffs those little blue tins, I couldn't pass up the chance to try a cheaper, more accessible version, so I gave Cotton Blossom a try. Can you imagine my glee when I smelled my arm and picked up almost the exact, classic scent profile of Nivea cream? It was glorious. This is my first blind buy where I felt like I truly won. I'm going to have to get a larger version of this soon, I've been wearing it every day since I bought it. Such a comforting, soothing aroma, and not at all powdery in a dry or sharp way. Even if you don't have Nivea associations, I think it could be argued that it smells like a hand lotion; white, creamy, moisturizing, clean. You could really wear it for any occasion. I like it the most as a bedtime wear, it's very comforting. Normally I think bottles like these are really boring, but I like how this one looks like pure water, especially the travel size with its minimalist type. Hmmm, what else? Safe for all occasions, subtle without being weak, an easy-to-reach-for wear that never disappoints... I guess it should be mentioned that there's no distinct floral note of any kind, and that may be disappointing if you expect what the name advertises. It's neither blossomy nor cottony. But I don't mind! I wanted Nivea cream, and I have it. Thank you Fragrantica reviewers, for your tireless work and comparisons. You helped me find what might be my grail.

Overly disliked scent, and to me it is my personal favorite out of all perfumes I've ever owned. For the price, it smells very realistic, sexy, and sophisticated. It smells like baby oil, talcum powder, warm laundry, lotion, or really just anything you would associate with cleanliness. It does NOT smell like baby wipes or is overly soapy, and it is not bitter or powdery enough for that association. It is a musk too, so while it's subtle, it will easily accumulate to your clothes and items you own. And yes, it does smell like Nivea cream. However, if you like strong scents with very distinct leading notes I would not recommend this one. It's subtle in sillage, but an immediate mood boost when you spray it, at least for me.

This does smell like the Nivea cream, with added sweetness and lots of powder. First time I wore this was right before getting in a cab and the cab driver said ''whoa, you smell so nice, very soft and clean'' - and I agree! Perfect for those sensitive to smells who want something comforting. Layers really well with something more vanilla heavy and pretty inoffensive in my opinion. I really do love it and will repurchase as long as it's available! Moderate projection and pretty weak longevity (2-3 hours) but it's CAD $40 so it meets my expectations!

I blind bought this thinking it's gonna be a dupe of Petit et mamans, but upon spritzing it on my skin I've realized that this is even better and even more pleasant! Petit et mamans has a sour note that I don't enjoy. There is a sweetness in this that's extremely comforting, more inviting and more crowd pleasing to my nose. I've realized it does smell very similar to a Nivea cream. It smells very much like as if you've just applied lotion to your skin. Which i appreciate so much. I really enjoy this scent.

one of my favorites right now. lately, i haven't been able to handle scented items of any sort and this fragrance is the only exception. it isn't complicated and it smells just like clean laundry or baby powder. the lasting power is meh but that's fine with the price point it's at. this has to be the easiest perfume to reach for in my collection and its simplicity makes it suitable for any occasion.

This one ended up being my favorite of the line! Its powdery, clean, and comforting. I'm surprised iris or violet isn't listed as one of the notes. This is a powder lover's dream and I am obsessed with it. I would say overall this line is pretty decent especially for the price point! Except I haven't seen these are target for awhile so I'm really hoping this wasn't discontinued!

I’ve always wanted to love Kenzo Flower, but it is just too overwhelming and cloying for me. Cotton is like a better version of Flower. It’s simply lovely and subtle and just a gentle kiss of fragrance. I went immediately and bought a second bottle. I have ordered the full range of Solinotes (well the ones I can find in Australia) so I will give them a mix and see how we go...

I got this at work. Total baby powder and fluffy. Fun fact. I layer this with my chanel no5 and boom it smells like chanel no5 premier. Layering is super fun with this one. But most importantly it's beautiful on it's own.

It's a straight up baby powder scent, only more refined and lovely than actual baby powder. You will smell very clean and innocent.

Clean, powdery, musky scent with a hint of white floral, but it projects warmth when it settles.

I love it, it is powdery and last long.

Solinotes Cotton Blossom is a really nice little scent! I have recently become obsessed with white musks, laundry musks, and "your skin but better scents," and this one sounded good and was $22 at Target. It is very powdery at first, reminding me of "powder fresh" deodorant, and I was not enjoying it. But after about an hour, the powder calmed down a bit, and I would have sworn that there was also some violet in here, as it started to take on that "lipstick rose" vibe, reminding me of a more powdery Chanel Misia. To my nose, it is also scent cousins with L'Artisan's Le Chant de Camargue, with the bergamot and rice notes. After a couple of hours, the scent dries down into a soft, slightly vanillic musk. I would also recommend Cotton Blossom to anyone who was searching for a cheaper alternative to Byredo Blanche. All in all, I am enjoying Cotton Blossom!

I blind bought this on Amazon. Initially thought it was a Downy scent, a bit strong. Then it went to a cotton powdery musk and finally after 30 minutes I started to smell coconut...coconut isn't listed but I definitely get a cotton and coconut bubble bath....It is like a softer more wearable version of Replica Bubble Bath (which was too strong & harsh for me) If you spray and hate it, give it time, on me it morphed into a great scent after dry down. Best of all it's cheap and it lasts.

Smells exactly like Pampers baby wipes, and the drydown is Nivea. Anyway, it's powdery musk, white floral and bergamot. It's nice, and the musky drydown is pleasant. Not very sweet, mostly a powder floral. Good quality ingredients, but I feel I have on my hands what I'm used to having on my arse. Funny.

I tried this in a store, and at first I got a hand sanitizer smell. But then it started to develop into a nice powdery smell. It smells nothing like J&J baby powder in any way but more like Nivea cream. It is 100% nivea cream in a fragrance bottle. I happen to like nivea because of it scent, so this perfume is a strong "like" for me. It would be "love" if there was some depth to it, but I feel like there is something missing.

I wrote my first review a little too soon. Since then I've tried Cotton Flower a few more times and changed my mind a bit, going from "ok" to a "strong like". It is a pretty, clean, comforting scent. Reminds me of Nivea in some moments or of Après l'Ondée in others. Good to wear during the day or to go to bed, if you like that. Given the low price I have to say it will be hard to find another perfume just as good.

I really like this one! I think that it smells like the lovechild of an amped up L'Instant Magic and a toned down Teint de Neige...that keeps all their perfect genes but loses all the dealbreaker genes. The price and availability make it a steal! I might have to buy the remaining bottle the next time I am at Target. And I will definitely keep a bottle in my wardrobe. Rating: 🍒🍒🍒🍒 Cruelty free 🐾

This is a very soft smelling baby powder type of smell. I do not smell any florals at all, just powder. It's very nice and clean smelling though. So if that's something you like the smell of, this one is for you! If you're looking for florals, this one is one to pass on. Overall it's very light, clean and innoffensive.

Powder explosion, has Kenzo’s Flower vibe, but not as sweet. It isn’t the clean cotton type of scent, but it does evoke cleanliness. Very nice, but not particularly remarkable. Worth the small price tag.

So fresh and so clean. It smells exactly like baby powder. For me this is a perfect fresh out of the shower scent. I like this for spring and summer or lazy at home days.

Soft baby scent, iris and musk, mainly here. It has freshness to it. Very comforting. Daytime scent. 2-3 hours , have to reapply. For the price, it's great and I like it!

starts off smelling like nivea, then moves (on me) into an almost sweet rice milk kinda smell. I do like it, and i like pairing it with dior hypnotic poison

Цветов здесь для меня нет совсем. Это не про букет и не про красивую парфюмерную композицию, а именно про ощущение чистого тела, свежей кожи и ухода. У меня этот аромат вызывает очень конкреткие ассоциации: ароматизированные памперсы, детская присыпка, крем для рук и тела, хлопковая рубашка на голом теле. Как будто женщина только что приняла душ, нанесла мягкий крем и надела светлую хлопковую вещь, которая пахнет чистотой и уютом. В этом аромате есть что-то очень домашнее, мягкое и материнское. Он напоминает запах спокойной, ухоженной мамы с маленьким ребенком — грудничком или малышом до года. Такая чистая, нежная, комфортная мама, от которой пахнет мылом, присыпкой, телом и заботой. По характеру он мягкий, воздушный, мыльный, нежный, домашний и женственный. Это не вау-аромат и не что-то яркое или соблазнительное. Он очень простой, но не скучный — просто спокойный. В нем есть именно ощущение ухоженности, clean girl эстетики, когда хочется пахнуть не духами, а чистотой. На моей коже он почти не держится: аромат слабый, приятный, но довольно быстро уходит, примерно в течение получаса, и шлейфа у него нет. В базе у меня остается в основном мыльная чистота. Носить его я бы хотела дома, на ночь, каждый день, или в те моменты, когда хочется пахнуть максимально аккуратно, чисто и ненавязчиво. Например, даже к врачу — когда не хочется ничего тяжелого, а хочется просто ощущения свежести и ухода. Чем-то по настроению он напомнил мне Putain des Palaces, но только в более простом, бытовом и мыльном ключе, без той театральности и телесной провокации. Cotton Blossom для меня — это запах чистой кожи, хлопковой рубашки, детской присыпки и тихой домашней женственности.

Strong alcohol on first spray. Then it settles with powdery scent. I can smell the vanilla after, it is softened by the powder scent. This is light clean scent. Can be office use, non offensive perfume. The scent stays long for 3 or 4 hours on skin, though you can only smell it once you stick your nose on it. Still, I’m contented with this perfume. I only wish it can be smelled in arms length.

لما قرأت النوتات بدا لي العطر مقبول نسبيا مقارنة بلما شميته بدون قراءة النوتات رائحته مثل رائحة العطر الذي يضاف للصوابين الرخيصة غير جميل ولا رقيق كما توقعت - After reading the notes, the fragrance seemed somewhat more acceptable than it did when I smelled it without knowing anything about it. It smells like the fragrance used in cheap soaps. Not pleasant or delicate as I had expected.

Weak skin scent in 40 mins. Smells like Nivea cream at the open but closer to Johnson baby powder than Nivea on the dry down. The base notes are non existent in 2 hours. Cruelty free so no chemicals but highly diluted performance.

Upon first spray, it's a Baby powder bomb. After 5 mins. it settles very softly onto the skin. Almost like you just put on baby lotion or baby powder.

Smelled this in a Shopper’s today. You know how a lot of Fragrantica users say a perfume smells like baby wipes and they had to immediately vomit and scrub it off because they’re dramatic? Had a reaction like that to this thing except without the puke and scrubbing. Smells like a literal baby wipe. Do not understand how. Wear this to smell like an overworked new mom.

Sorry but i smell nothing. Same with musc.

I was hoping for something cottony fresh/floral, but this is a powder bomb on me from start to finish, which I despise. I even left it on and suffered through the first while hoping the powder would fade, but nope, it didn't. It is so strongly powdery on me I can't discern any other notes. Sadness. If you LOVE powder, this could be for you. Everyone else should steer clear of blind buying, even for the low price.

I love cottony powdery scents including flower by Kenzo so I thought I’d like this but it’s truly nauseating. I don’t know if it’s the rice note or what but it’s so cloyingly sweet and sugary vanillic. Yuck! rip

I absolutely hated it. I had really big hopes that this would be a new favorite scent of mine. But all i could smell was rose and powder. Just like an attar oil called Tahara Musk. Gave me an instant headache.

Musky laundry, not necessarily super clean but a bit rounded. Reminds me of Clean T-shirt. I really hate musk and this is not for me, but maybe nice for a musk lover.

Very similar to Petits et Mamans in the opening but just a bit more rounded and sweeter, less sharp. Petits et Mamans is more herbal too. This lasts longer, but other than that there is barely any difference. In the dry down however, this transforms into a soft laundry scent (thankfully 0 citrus!) and I love it! So far this is the closest scent I've found to the scent of my favorite deodorant Dove Sensitive. Also this is very very similar to Kenzo Flower Edit: I never ended up getting this despite testing in store many times due to the very strong violet note. It's pretty in the dry down after about 2 hours but the initial stages are very strong violet. It's too sad/blue smelling to me I wish there was more powder, musk, vanilla or maybe white florals.

A slightly OTT baby powder scent. Horrific initial opening but dries down to a strong but pleasant musky baby powder. But if you want to smell VERY dry and clean, this is for you. It's a good 'lay around the house' scent, for doing chores, or just going to bed. I honestly wouldnt wear this anywhere else as it lacks quality. For the price too, I don't mind just basically covering myself in this any time I want a freshness boost. At $10, its the cheapest fragrance I own, and has every right to smell like artificial crap... but it doesn't. Thoroughly worth the miniscule price.

you guys were right, it does smell like nivea body cream. i haven't used the original nivea body cream in a while but i have nivea soft and this smells like nivea soft. seriously, i had it on my skin. took a whiff, sprayed this, took a whiff and yes, it's the same. if you wanna smell like nivea body cream and you want it to be stronger, just douse yourself in this. i don't hate it, i dislike cotton scented candles and room sprays and all that but this is genuinely nice. floral and lotion-like. id recommend it.

I bought this hoping to replace BBW Sea Island Cotton. It is not similar. This is 100% Nivea Cream (as others have mentioned). I had always wanted to get the Nivea fragrance but it is not sold where I live. So, definitely a win for the price. Performance is mediocre and it’s not out of the ordinary, but it is cozy and nostalgic.

This is full-on rose powder to me. Not what I had hoped. Smells a little vintage too. Edit: ok so I saw that this reminded people of Kenzo flower and yes that's exactly how it smells lol. Not as much throw as Kenzo maybe, but it is a cheaper alternative and will provide you with the same scent if that's all you care about.

This smell 80% like Nivea blue canned tht I owned.sillage and longevity is moderate for this cotton perfume.great for layering for other powdery perfume.i got discount at pharmacy so is very cheap purchase.some notes are missing above too is violet and cedar notes also

Just a little review to share that COTTON BLOSSOM reminds me of the smell of Nivea Cream in the navy blue tin.
