Fleur d'Iris

I first came across this about ten years ago, at a moment when I felt I had outgrown my “edgy” style. I was a freshly engaged kindergarten teacher who did swing dancing and had just moved out of a shared flat into a better one with my fiancé. I had decided it was time to embrace everything floral: dresses, curtains, couches, and fragrances. Looking back, I had never been more naïve. Kind of like this fragrance. I wouldn’t call it outdated, but it’s fair to say it feels almost vintage and juvenile at the same time. I imagine a young version of my nana wearing it and that’s exactly what I love about it. It leans toward the floral, baby powder side of iris. It’s my nana, but in her teenage years, making flower crowns for her best friend. And somehow, that innocence is exactly why I still love it.

It's like a more floral version of Prada Iris, with less depth, longevity and sillage.

Wow, I really love it ! It is the freshest scent out of all Solinotes so far (at least out of all the ones I already have)! On a cool side , a little mysterious, can become very personal. Smells interesting and complex enough (for a bottle for 20 $). I bought it haphazardly , but I think it will quickly become one of my favorites. Like a fresh breeze on an early spring evening....

This is lovely! Softer than Prada Infusion d'Iris, not quite as sweet as Jacques Fath Irissime- very good potency and longevity- all that, for such an incredible price! For some reason, while wearing this, I keep thinking of Harold Melvin and the Blue Notes..."If You Don't Know Me By Now"... go figure-

At first spray, I thought I caught a hint of Prada Infusion d'Iris but it quickly blossomed into a lovely purple scent that reminds me much more of Prada Infusion d'Amande but with actual lasting power, so this is a blind buy win for me. Rating: 🍒🍒🍒🍒🍒 Cruelty free 🐾

Smells beautiful, very reminiscent of Prada Infusion d’Iris but with less complexity. Longevity on me is 2-3 hours but I’m ok with that for the price. Good buy!

I've never met an iris perfume that hasn't piqued my curiosity, and so I blind-bought this bargain gem for less than €20 for 50ml. It is simple and subtle - unsurprising, considering its price, but is a pleasant iris-dominant scent, sheer and green with a fruity opening and musky base. I suspect that the notes listed here are incomplete. Fleur d'Iris opens with bright citrus, likely fresh orange, with the soft, sheer iris following closely. The grass note keeps things fresh and green. There is a metallic undertone, perhaps due to the ozonic notes, but it doesn't take from this scent. In fact, I appreciate some metal in iris scents since falling in love with Serge Lutens Iris Silver Mist. Some violet emerges after a little while, sweet and powdery - a common bedfellow of iris. As it develops, I get some woodiness, and a sweet musky base forms, melding nicely with the increasingly powdery iris. I'm pretty sure tonka bean is in there - its balsamic, slightly nutty sweetness seems to form a major part of the musky base. It remains sweetly musky until it fades, powdery until final fade. Sillage is intimate and longevity is weak. It is feminine-leaning in my opinion, and is a spring/summer daytime scent. A delicate, lightweight take on iris with a sweet musky base, FI is aptly-named - more floral than root-like. It is a skin scent throughout with limited longevity, but is nicely put-together and is very good, considering its price point. Somewhat similar to Prada Infusion d'Iris. 4/5.

Of course, there’s a noticeable difference in quality. This one feels much flatter, but at least it doesn’t have any harsh synthetic notes. By far the best fragrance I’ve tried from this house.

I’ve been spraying this on my pillow at night in an effort to trick my insomniac brain into relaxing. Less refined than but reminiscent of Heeley’s impeccable Iris de Nuit. Far less pricey. Chic & soothing, an easy nighttime reach.

herbal scent; As expected: a nice mix of iris and violet. The scent is good, just not my taste. I gave it to my sister and she wears it every day :) Longevity and sillage are great. One point: I think it's unisex.

Musty, musky iris. Notes do not list musk, but it's all over here. I do like iris note, however this combination does not work for me.

The person below claims this is cheap garbage, but I disagree. Unless you have the original formula.. Infusion D’iris is expensive cheap garbage that doesn’t last. At least I can spray this stuff with reckless abandon and not feel bad because of its low cost. It gives me the impression of a clean citrus iris.. same way the Prada one does- without the guilt. I have both on at the moment.. I have Prada on my left wrist and Solinotes on my right.. the difference with the Prada might be worth 10 extra dollars. The biggest difference is the citrus opening. Solinotes opening smells more like lemon while the Prada’s opening smells more like bergamot. Both fragrances have the same dismal staying power.

I think I had tried some of the less interesting Solinotes fragrances first, because the recent ones I've been trying have surprised me. This one definitely has similarities to Prada Infusion d'Iris, as the Fleur d'Jasmin has similarities to Child perfume. I own the EDT, and I sniffed these side by side. There is less of the greenness in Fleur d'Iris, and it's a touch less sharp and powdery (grass notes vs galbanum and vetiver in the Prada), and, of course, the lasting power and projection are not there, but for those who want the same vibe as the Prada but are not able to get it, this one works. Obviously, the Prada one has a complexity that this one doesn't have, but I'm pretty impressed.

I blind bought this because I have been on an iris kick recently. For this price point, this is pretty amazing stuff. It is not a very complex scent. I think mostly because they are meant to mix and match or layer. Though when I spray it, I definitely get a hit of iris root and some Angelica. It is a smidge metallic. I happen to really like this. I really like this stuff and could not go wrong for how much I spent. (US 23.00) I may look at others from this brand. It also lasted about 4 hours, so a win-win for me.

I love this cheapie. Cold, powdery, clean. Good layering fragrance or on it's own. 💙 My friend says it smells like a feminine PH wash or a feminine pad 😂 I smell it too but I still love it regardless.

Indeed, very similar to Prada's iris proposal. A woody, airy iris, somewhat sad or melancholic. It slides towards powdery, a slightly raspberry undertone. Beautiful for a rainy day.

This is fresh, musky, clean, and powdery. I don't smell anything metallic
