Matcha

Has a very strong alcohol smell at first, but as it settled in, that faded almost completely. I did not smell any matcha at all, unfortunately. It’s definitely more vanilla than anything else, with maybe a hint of almond. But it’s quite warm, without having that aggressive gourmand note I often don’t like. Put this on while you’re getting ready, listen to some Ke$ha or Britney Spears, and you’ll feel like the sexy older sister in 2012 you never got to be. It’s sweet, without screaming preteen, maybe just a more innocent time. I would say that because of the sweetness, this is a very solidly daytime winter scent. It’s cute for day-to-day wear, and if you just want that simple vanilla, sweet smell, without it being overly synthetic or obnoxiously sugary. I liked it overall, even if the name is pretty misleading lol. It also lasts FOREVER, I can even faintly smell it after I shower. All in all, it’s nothing super special, but a decent winter perfume for the price point, as I got a 6 oz for about $13.

Tried this on in CVS. Burst of matcha right off the bat. Walked around the store for a couple minutes and smelled the back of my hand again- smelled musty and stale. Wrote it off. Left the store about 10 minutes later and the wind was going crazy. Instantly got whiffs of Fine’ry’s NPR. It’s been 3 hours... I’ve cooked pizza, washed my hands a few times, and the scent is still there! Just as it was when I left the store. I have Fine’ry’s NPR, so I’m doing a wear test n comparison. Will update here once I gather my thoughts.

I think they forgot to include the matcha. It’s a creamy, lightly sweet sandalwood with a hint of almond.

This is different from Thé Matcha. I haven't tried it yet but it's a slightly different bottle and name
