Pomelo

I found this on Amazon as well; I recently found out that Lush is discontinuing their Little Pot of Energy lotions, so I wanted something bright and cheery with rich citrus notes to put on in the mornings. I had a hard time initially deciding between this and Demeter's Pink Grapefruit. Ultimately this won out because it was easier to find, less expensive, and lasts longer (it lasts about 5 hours on un-moisturized skin). It smells almost exactly like Little Pot of Energy, but without the cocoa and shea butter. Even though this and most other citrusy scents tend to be recommended for spring and summer, every now and then I like wearing them on dreary fall and winter mornings as a quick pick-me-up. I especially like how it lingers on clothes for a day or two for an extra boost. I will definitely buy this again and see if they have larger bottles when I run out of the bottle I have now.

I like Solinotes' creations, they're less obvious than one may think; this isn't exception! Fresh, citrusy, but not sharp or harsh; it isn't either too sweet. My nose picks up quite evidently, a part fot the citrusy opening, a woodsy note, the cedar I guess, which pairs heavenly with citruses, lessening their sharpness. I don't smell neither iris, nor musk though. Overall, this is a paricular fragrance, it doesen't smell cheap. My only complaint goes to the lasting power, after a couple of hours it becomes a skin scents. Sillage is non existant too, however this is common to many solinotes' fragrances.

a refreshing grapefruit-like summer scent. Tart with a hint of lemon, hint of vetiver, light floral component, touch of musk and a tiny blood orange tart-sweetness in the drydown.

Solinote. Pomelo. I was imagining a bright, citrus scent- crisp and light. This is sweet. It lacks the juicy tartness that the best citrus fragrances always have. The sweet I’m getting doesn’t even feel floral... it’s just sweet. Then there’s musk. Little else. I’m not getting the vetiver, which I imagined would bolster the natural green freshness of pomelo. Nope. If you’re a fan of citrus-centric fragrances, this is a big pass. it is so nondescript and sweet, I’m having a hard time imagining who this would be fitting for. There are plenty more simple clean fragrances in this price range that really pay off, no need to stop here.

Blind bought this because i love pomelos and i've been looking for fragrances with bloodorange. But i'm very unhappy with this... How does this even remotely smell like a pomelo?! I get no bloodorange, no pomelo, no melon, no cedar, no musk, no vetiver and no violet. I only smell lemon and jasmin, and it smells like cheap toilet freshner...... I'm very sad... 💔

This is just citrus. I know it’s inexpensive, but I smell no pomelo notes :(

This starts out as a very beautiful pink grapefruit - fizzy, bright, sweet, effervescent. During dry down it unfortunately loses some of its appeal, with a sharper "metallic" note that comes through. It was so close to mimicking part of Gap's "So Pink", and I was so excited about that because it's one of my favorites (but is impossible to find/so pricey) - but the metallic note ruined it for me and made it smell too synthetic. Nothing surpasses Gap's "So Pink" for grapefruit - still on the hunt for anything comparable!

There’s a sharp cheap metallic note in this that I can’t get passed. This is the type of citrus that made me think I dislike citrus fragrances because some can go in the bathroom cleaner direction and this does that. I was hoping for a cheap fragrance for the summer but ended up with a new bathroom air freshener

Fizzy, tart and fresh. Love it!
