Cardamom Rose Sugar

I've only ever tried this in the oil form, so I have to let this rest a few months so the cardamom isn't overpowering. It's this super sweet maple syrup and green cardamom and rose. The dry down is this comforting, slightly spicy, maple syrup that I just LOVE. Would I wear this in public? Probably not because the cardamom could be overwhelming to others. This is more for wearing at home to relax or before bed. But I have used up two FS oils of this and I plan on repurchashing when I use up my third bottle. I enjoy it that much.

This is a strongly sweet, brown sugar and rosewater scent. It is very pretty and VERY foody. Every time I've ever worn it I get constant comments about smelling like pancakes or oatmeal, so be prepared for the brown sugar to translate as maple syrup and breakfast foods on the skin. For an oil this has great throw and good longevity. I can't wear this one to work because it draws too much attention.

I'm so excited for this to be added to the database! This is a gorgeous gourmand. The rose is tempered by sugar, caramel, and spices that all blend in harmony and make this sophisticated and memorable. People will want to hug you when you wear this.

I will revisit it after it's been sitting for a few months, as of right now it's fresh out of the mail. It's okay. For me, on my skin, the cardamon is not very well pronounced. It's actually a huge sweet bomb of caramel/molasses/brown sugar. There is some florals lifting it up and some cardamom sharpening it. Really not much else apart from the brown sweetness. From their site, "the long term dry down is primarily a sugary, warm, brown candy scent" this is the most accurate description of the perfume. I am gonna let it rest, as I am told you should do with perfume oils, and revisit it in a few months. 5/10

Cardamom and brown sugar are notes I adore. I thought if I was ever going to like rose it would be this one. Alas, I do not. I can objectively understand the high quality and composition. I can understand how some people would like this, however, it does not agree with my nose. I get notes of rose, stems, cardamom, brown sugar, and slight cinnamon. The cardomom completely overwhelms everything else and starts reminding me of an intense and pungent body odor. It also smells like an array of holiday meats being prepared?

I have this in an oil form. The cardamon just takes over and overwhelms the rose to the point that you almost get self conscious about wearing it. I becomes weirdly savory. This is how it came across to me, others may love the way it smells on them ~ but I'd test before buying, JIC.

This is a lightly spiced, light rose, sugary scent. Cardamom is more savory than cinnamon, giving a uniqueness and subtlety. The rose was very slight and faded fast. This evolved to pure sugar over time - I wish the rose had stayed longer and the spice had been bolder. On clothing, this was present the day after. When I was in kindergarten, we held hands in a circle every morning. One little boy must have eaten cinnamon sugar toast or maybe syrup and pancakes every day - holding hands with him meant your hands smelled like cinnamon, sugar and sweaty little boy. Cardamom to my nose has a sweaty/earthiness. So, sadly, I couldn’t shake those kindergarten hand holding memories of sugary sweat. Not good. Maybe just fine for those without my olfactory baggage, but glad I only have a sample.

Omg, I could never quite put my finger on what spice in the curry I loved gave it that unique smell/taste, but after sampling this oil, it's definitely cardamom. I received my sample pack last week, so perhaps my oil hasn't settled quite enough, as all I'm getting is a very sharp and loud cardamom, with the tiniest bit of rose trying to come out, but being totally drowned by the spice. So, at present, I smell like a madrass curry, and nothing else... I can tell it'll be a beautiful scent, but I'll have to revisit this in a few months to see whether this just smell less like dinner on me, or whether I just happen to amp up cardamom on my skin.

This is a VERY GREEN and spicy cardamom with a sharp and spicy rose. I don't smell the brown sugar. (My oil has been resting for 3 weeks, so I don't know if that means I need to revisit it in another few weeks to see if it's changed.) The projection on this is EXCELLENT. If you want strong, spicy cardamom and rose, this is it.

This is a cardamom bomb that lasts for hours! I could not detect any rose at all which made me a little sad. The dry down is absolutely beautiful...warm brown sugar with a tiny hint of cardamom, but it took a long time to get there. You MUST love cardamom, because it's a BEAST! It is a lovely perfume, but apply sparingly!
