Chiffon

chiffon—a delicate, quietly delicious fragrance. upon first spray, this scent opens with powerful, pure lemon myrtle. 10 minutes after wear on the skin, it's settled in beautifully, transforming into a murmur of sugary warm lemon meringue. the vanilla and white musk notes become more apparent the longer it's been worn, embracing and complimenting each other delightfully. this fragrance sits very close to the skin, and does not project much, if at all. the weak sillage doesn't bother me—to be honest, i'm mostly disappointed it doesn't last longer. of all the lemon scents i've tried, THIS is the most warm, natural, fresh baked lemon dessert non-sickeningly sweet scent i've had the pleasure of putting on. absolutely downright GOOD. but, as quickly as i fell in love with it, it was gone. i would wear this daily if the performance were better. still, i can't help but love it. very nicely done.

This review is for the EDP: Some reviews say that Chiffon smells like some kind of lemon dessert, but to me the lemon myrtle is pretty distinct from real lemon, keeping it from being too dessert-like (seriously, smell Chiffon and then smell a lemon or something made with it). It's more aromatic: lemony, but closer to citronella or lemongrass, or even lemon hard candy. The underlying vanilla is gorgeous and very sweet. Performance-wise, it lasts a long time: the myrtle fades but never quite goes away. I personally think this is a fantastic summer gourmand, precisely because it does *not* smell exactly like a lemon dessert, which could get cloying in the heat. A very happy scent! I am loving the quality of Solstice Scents' EDPs.

Fluffy dry lemon meringue with a sweet, dry white musk and a hint of sandalwood in the base. Beautifully blended! Very smooth throughout. The dry quality keeps it fresh and far from being too sweet or candy-like. Perfectly unisex if you're into semi-sweet citrus, sandalwood musks. One of the best lemon gourmands in my collection, and I have several. Wish it was available in bigger bottles! The EDP is my favorite as the notes are best displayed in this form. The oil is sweeter with less projection. I enjoy layering them. I added micro fine body shimmer to the EDP and it makes my skin look healthy and hydrated in the sunlight. This is a rare, back-up-bottle worthy scent.

I have this in the Burnishing Glace and it is pure ❤! I have tried Chiffon in oil, EDP and Glace form and I prefer the Glace. I wish all the scents came in Burnishing Glace. It not only lasts the longest on me but it also makes my skin silky smooth. The fragrance itself strongly reminds me of that candy Lemonheads which I love. It is perfectly sweet without ever being cloying. Rating: 🍒🍒🍒🍒🍒 Cruelty free 🐾

Chiffon isn't just marketing here...it really does manage to evoke chiffon fabric! The musk is so well behaved and pleasant. The lemon is sweet like a lemon bar, not like a cleaner. The sweetness is subtle, like a dusting of powdered sugar over the top. Definitely recommend as a warm weather gourmand. Chiffon is not a strong perfume, but not so delicate it isn't worth your while.
