Night Watcher

This fragrance reminds me so much of Treebuoy. They are both oil perfumes too. I get the same massive dose of conifer forest, especially sweet fir sap. There are differences though, like Treebuoy has some spice in it via cardamom. It’s subtle, but it’s there. Night Watcher has more of a dryness to it, must be that “bark” note. Also for some time Night Watcher smells like a new age shop, whereas I don’t get that imagery at all with Treebuoy. Sillage and longevity are also very similar with both frags. They both project softly and last at least few hours. With Night Watcher I picture an owl sitting in a tree in the middle of the night, so I would say it’s aptly named. (edit: OMG I wrote this review weeks ago, but I just noticed there is actually an owl sitting in a tree in the ad photo! Spot on!) While definitely appropriate in cool months, I’m wearing it on a hot day in the woods, and it’s quite enjoyable. Great scent for hiking or when you want to be transported to the Pacific Northwest, Canada or Alaska.

It smells like evergreen tree's sap but somehow without that piney smell. It's also kind of tart and sweet. But then it soon starts smelling like a funky ointment, loses all the perfumey vibe. When I say soon, under 5min. Edit: And then after 30min or a completely new smell kicks in, and it gets stronger and stronger. Wow what an incredible experience. I dislike that final smell but it's fun.
