Pinyon Truffle

I just tried this. No resting. At first I immediately thought “ Cocoa Pebbles”. But then I thought “Damn... Fancy ass Cocoa Pebbles”. Then I got the pinyon pine needle coniferous whiffs. Then the chocolate turned more into a tree bark smell, which I quite like. It’s a few hours later now and just smells chocolatey with whiffs of pine here and there. It’s weird but I like it.

I love this! The chocolate & pinyon are such a luscious combination. This is pinyon, drenched in high quality, melted chocolate. Decadent, but somehow, light. There is also an elegant vanilla wafting around in the mix. A heavenly gourmand with good longevity.

One of my favorites from Soltice Scents. It starts off with the pinyon scent and it then fades into an amazing chocolate and vanilla scent.

The opening is extremely coniferous. I'm talking sticking your nose into a bag of pine needles. However, good things come to those who wait - as soon as the greenery of pine dissipates a bit, the truffle actually starts appearing. If you're mostly in for the gourmand aspect of this fragrance then there are other offerings of this house that cater more to you, I would say that this is more for the lover of all things mossy and foresty.

Does not smell like piñon, pine, chocolate or vanilla. Go elsewhere for your woody scents. This smells like a vague sweet muddy pudding, with a touch of woodiness. Good house, but this one is disappointing.

I was so excited about a green gourmand with the pinyon and presumably woody chocolate, but it just smelled extremely medicinal and herbal. I got barely any chocolate and virtually no vanilla, just a blast of pine and even after drying down it didn’t improve. I would say this isn’t a safe blind buy so I’m glad I sampled first.

Oh, I am so sad. I absolutely loved this when I first put in on! But that glorious pinyon/chocolate scent was short-lived on me. My hubby and I could barely smell it 15 min. later. I saw that it is alcohol based, not oil based, so I suspect that's the reason. I have Astral Temple on my other arm and it still smells strong. Too bad I don't love that one.
