Solstice Magnolia

Wow, this is stunning spring - summer scent. Long lasting and with multiple facets. It reminds me of the store-bought soap bubble scent from my childhood or Sunshine Haze fragrance mist from Victoria Secret. It is sunny, sour and sweet at the same time. At times it is more floral, at times it is like sugary lemon candy (sometimes super delicious, but at times a sloght bit artificial and sour), at times it is refreshingly soapy-clean but in an unexpected way. Definitely recommend to try if you're interested into this house and prefer more conventional options. The only reason I will not get a full bottle is that my collection is already large enough and although I absolutely enjoyed sampling Solstice Magnolia, I do not see myself reaching for it very often. Incredibly good performance, super long lasting, especially on clothes!

I expected this to be sweeter tbh. I gave the perfume time to sit before writing this review, since shipping and temperature changes can alter the fragrance temporarily. I still don't like it, and it has a strange chemicallyness to me at first. I get the lemon, sugarcone, and sandalwood. Not sure what magnolia smells like irl, so no comment there. But I do not smell vanilla or ice cream at all :(

I’m confused by this. This is the most heady floral I’ve ever smelled, that still smells obviously like florals. Up close, it is kind of stinky. I’ve noticed a lot of her florals lean this particular way. Nightgown was so indolic I could not get past that. But I catch whiffs of this on my skin and I keep yearning after more. The wafts are gentle and sweet. I think this suits a spring evening out in the fields that I’ve only ever been in through imagination. Update: about an hour after application it is a lot more mellow and reminds me of gummy candies. Sampled Iced Wisteria next to this and they have similarities. Maybe it’s the ice cream note?

I have debated for 2 years whether I like this enough to keep it. Im still unsure. When I smell it too close it makes me nauseous. It has a white flower, animalic, indolic scent to it along with a fresh burst of vanilla-citrus. Its really strong and heavy, but in a summery way. Smells slightly gourmand as well. Juicy, fruity, floral, vanilla. Something dusty in the backound.
