Oud Altius

Oud Altius from Soma Parfums is a spicy aromatic perfume with a huge presence. It has rose, amber, cardamom and spicy notes. It kinda reminds of oud satin mood with a sort of integration or oud for greatness. It has an almost 'sandy' opening that dries down to a suite and almost gourmand base with hints of leather and oud. This really is a powerful scent that users need to be very careful on the trigger.

Absolute beast mode performance. This is a beautiful traditional oud and rose fragrance with a hint of cardamom that makes it very spicy and unique. Smells like real oud oil ( I don't know if it is or not) and has an animalic and smoky profile, yet not too animalic. A Gorgoeus masterpiece from Soma Parfums that I will definitely be buying in the colder months

Undoubtedly a beast mode fragrance. This packs a big punch and smells incredible. Loads of powdery rose on the opening, but you've always got that oud beneath that gives it wonderful depth. I can't get enough of this.

My favourite of the six Soma line that I've smelled. A classy, deep rose Oud combo with a lovely leathery drydown. Doesn't shout but lasts and has decent sillage. 9/10

While I wasn’t a fan of Oud Fortius, Oud Altius is a different story - this is much more oud focused in my opinion, with amazing sweet fruits and florals. It initially opens with a fantastic juicy raspberry note backed up by warm spices, mainly cinnamon and cardamom. From here the raspberry stays prominent as soft florals of rose, iris and saffron join the party with a gorgeously soft frankincense. A gorgeous oud and leather then emerges in the base which is both smooth yet rugged. Oud, rose, saffron and raspberry isn’t a new combination and yet it never gets tiring. This fragrance achieves the same thing as Ombre Nomade without inducing headaches for everyone around you. It’s far more subdued and sophisticated with great quality.

To me because of the raspberry, this is like a cross between Tuscan Leather and Ombré Nomad. But lighter, much lighter than those beasts. Take the top and mid of ON and the leathery base of TL, dial it down to half the intensity and voila. You’ve got this. A nice effort, but redundant for me as I have the other two. Though I know this could have its uses. I wouldn’t wear any of the other two during the summer even at night as they are so heavy but this is much more versatile and lighter. A good all year round scent. Also more unisex that the other two.

I got a number of samples with heavy Oud notes and learned that it just is not for me. I can't handle this- on me or my husband

Based on a boxed sample. Immediate reaction: Oud Satin Mood, less punch in the opening then creamier in the drydown. Other thought was Noir de Noir. Performance is strong. Unisex. So many oud/rose scents, this is at the rose end. Just a like from me, if i had a bottle it would sit on the shelf. 3/5

So nuclear it's crazy. 10 hours on and still the same as if I just sprayed it and just one spray. Crazy stuff. I don't get much Oud but more leathery sweet and spicy without it being a flar leather smell. Careful on how much you put on is my only warning

Beautiful Oud perfume that lasted all the day. Yes rose ouds have been done many times but who cares as I love the combo. I sprayed on my bf and it smelt sexy on him so looks like we have to share it
