Seda

Seda by SOMENS Barcelona lingers around my room today and I am in Heaven! ✨ A spanish brand that currently has 4 fragrances in their repertoire, but roots their inspiration from the everlasting changes of cultures and how we all are formed by their intuitive wisdom - Seda represents a migration and a cultural duality - from Indian Ocean cultures to cities evolving; where romance and sensuality, a bubbly sweetness meets a wild encounter - worlds collide and wonders arise. Seda by Daniel Josier opens with huge amount of citrus - citric nature with tons of mandarin and galbanum makes this fresh, but it is definitely not your average freshie as it develops into a lovely, slightly fruity fragrance with gooseberries and jasmine in the heart - and that really shine. The jasmine is very prominent and as the beautiful sparkling top blends into this sweetness, it is a wonderful experience. This all sits on a bed of musk which enhance the creation to a long-lasting endevour. If I were to compare this to a fragrance, I would say this reminds me somewhat of Twilly by Hermes - that is also a slightly sweet floral with citrus, but it is still different in ways, I have to say Seda is a much more sophisticated fragrance - it has a more delicate sweet core and makes much better work in combining the sweetness with the slight sourness; Twilly has a lot of ginger in the top which is too overpowering; Seda is much more balanced and refined. ✨

Seda, by perfumer Daniel Josier opens with an incredibly photorealistic and juicy mandarin note that perfectly balances sweetness with citrus sharpness. The opening is tinged green thanks to the addition of galbanum. Seda quickly settles down into a soft fruity-floral-musk as gooseberry, jasmine and soft white musks are the star players of the fragrance until the end. While Seda is a linear fragrance, it is a well polished one...perfect for those days when you want something uncomplicated, yet refined. It’s creamy blend of fruits, florals and citrus edge is entirely addictive 👏🏻 ...so If you are a fan of the fruity floral genre do yourself a favour and get your nose on this ASAP (thank me later 😉). I will say that performance was on the softer side. I get around 5 hours on skin, with a softer sillage throughout. Seda is unisex leaning feminine and offers excellent versatility being suitable for year round wear. IG: Nathan__Jamesj

Immediately thought this was a neroli portofino/soleil blend but there’s something warmer and softer on the dry down. Slightly more sweet floral...something. It’s a gorgeous scent but overpriced so I bought a sample instead and am sticking to my Tom Ford fragrances.
