Aphrodesia

This is an intense fragrance, with a vintage character: Aphrodesia is a floral (with white and purple tones), heavily spicy but very pleasant, provided that you like so-called "oriental" fragrances. More feminine but, nowadays, absolutely unisex. The absence of incense and oud makes it easily enjoyable. The vaguely dry and dusty notes of its flowers are rounded off by some background sweetness, certainly not edible or cloying, which ties everything together in an extremely harmonious way. I believe it is the union of honey, musk and civet, which moisten, enhance and sweeten the fragrance. I understand those who associate it with Poison by Dior because there is a vague soapy scent here too, despite the absence of aldehydes. However, Aphrodesia is much less soapy and, to my personal taste, a lot more modern and more pleasant than Chanel n.5 EDP and Dior Poison, although they arguably play in the same league. We could say that this is way less "grandma" than those. The ampoule is gorgeous and worth the money just by itself. The juice is purple under the light and it looks like I have a magic potion on my shelf.

Recently purchased this in solid form. There were some sour notes present initially upon testing in the store (I am not a fan of citrus as it does not perform well on me), but it quickly faded into something romantic and lovely. The rose and fruitiness added something light to the heady ylang ylang and amber. Just a hint of spice. Overall a very well balanced fragrance. I love to apply this at nighttime while performing beauty rituals and catching up on self care. There is something so sensual and calming about it that I haven't gotten from many fragrances in my collection. I cannot speak for the silage of the other forms, but I love that the solid perfume stays close to the skin. Fitting for such an intimate experience.

I've been wearing this on and off since the 1990s and have a real soft spot for tjis brand. Temperate climate fruit salad, dressed with syrup, topped with vanilla cream and candied violets. This thing is a sweet delight. The previous version was strawberry heavy. This is a cunning total rework. It loses none of the appeal to the original wearers whilst still being completely unlike the original. It does not smell like anything I have ever met. Strong recommend. If you can get hold of it, their Liquid Amber is amazing and I enjoy both their musks.

Found an old bottle of it while going through my mom's stuff. Absolutely loved it, and i've been in search for more ever since. I got the most compliments when wearing this, by anybody, and it is my favorite smell ever. 10/10

The form of perfume oil. A deep, complex smell. Heavy, even masculine, but with bright feminine notes and warm with a tail. Divine.
