Belle en Rykiel Eau de Toillete

Lovely! Oh such beautiful, strong juicy grapefruit!! Wonderful, and it's such a delicate and feminine, fresh and pretty perfume. Sweet, such a lovely incensy smell, with beautiful flowers, the wonderful lavender! and so much fruit, and gorgeous sweet smooth creamy musk. And the patchouli is really good, earthy and herby and patchouli-ish! Great stuff!! I love it. And I love the bottle - the shape and colour are sublime! Ethereal and elegant. It looks, and feels, like a fabulous polished chunk of pale amethyst. It's gorgeous! Okay, I agree it doesn't last too long, but I love re-spraying it, especially to get the wonderful blast of grapefruit over and over again!! Yum!!! It's really a compliment drawer too. People are forever telling me how wonderful I smell!! I love it!

I could smell the grapefruit before I even finished opening the box, oh my gosh, the first spray is so delightfully zingy. Now it's starting to have this delicious musky dry down which makes me think its like a fruity/floral version of the EDP. Even though the top and middle notes are quite different, the base notes are almost the same (which is probably what makes me fall in love with both of these fragrances). Something about these musky type scents makes me go ga-ga, I just adore them, can't wait to wear this in summer and see if it makes any difference to how it wears on my skin.

A blind buy that turned out right. I smell cola for some reason. Its unusual but easy to wear. Worth a try.

January 9th 2011 : I tested the EDP : I hated. I tested the EDT : I loved it. Why ? I can't explain. Perhaps because of the incense scent...So I want this one because I'm sure this fragrance could be among my favorite ones : sweet, warm, floral. April 3rd 2011 : I purchased it because the test in the shop was very good. Now the "every day test" shows me more : it's sweet and floral but it doesn't last. It's too bad because it's a good EDT. It reminds me a lighter Lady Million. I will keep the bottle for my pleasure, in my collection but I won't purchase it again.

I agree with the other reviewers that this does not last long on the skin, but there is something about it that I really love ( the patchouli?) and I dont have anything else quite like it. I find that when I use it, I spray it on my clothes & it does last alot longer, also both men & women always comment when I have it on. Its like the person wearing it stops smelling it but everyone else can smell it and they love it! I have enjoyed this fragrance but would not recommed to anyone who likes a strong scent as this is very, very subtle. Maybe thats its beauty?

This fragrance is extremely transitory! It disappeared so quickly that I couldn't even smell it well. It's a pity because it has the notes I should like. Thus, I would call it "transparent".

This is a nice feminine perfume, it is fresh but isn't weak, I detect some neroli, which I like, a bit of encense also, so not a boring fresh scent at all. Upon the drydown the patchouli amplifies a bit but it stays discreet, so I wouldnt call Belle en Rykiel airy or light,rather a pretty cozy scent with some character to it, I am a fan of Sonia Rykiel. Her scents are always interesting.
