Doggy Siren

a nice lilac fragrance thats reasonably priced. at the beginning you get a whiff of a toilet detergent but that disappears after a few minutes

To me this smells exactly like those jelly air freshners for the bathroom... I know this is my personal neural link of sorts, and in itself the smell is beautiful, but in my mind it immediately brings back a memory of my granny's tiny bathroom, which opening the door of always warranted my nose being punched violently by this exact smell. It's very nice, but I simply dislike it. I am trying to lay it over other fragrances I own, maybe I will end up loving it, but right now it's a "maybe I really should stop blind buying things" sort of thing.

One online creator described this scent as a very concentrated lilac, and I think that's the best way to put it. It's not the gentle, alluring scent of lilac wafting through the air; it's a forest of lilac squeezed into a bottle and concentrated to the max. Whether that is a pro or con depends on individual taste. It definitely makes the scent bubble more recognisable. I do prefer the natural scent, and regretfully this bottle does not evoke the extremely specific memory of the green space back of my granny's apartment complex in Poland, or walking the streets of Chengdu, China in a half daze, astounded at finding a lilac bush so far from home. I did wish I brought this perfume with me for the latter memory though. After chilling on my perfume stand, untouched for some time, I have brought Doggy Siren out of its hiatus to wear during lilac season specifically. I'm glad to also have gotten the matching scented soap to enjoy in the shower, and layer it all with a tiny sample of Yen body oil from Soapszop- also a Polish brand. I'm still yearning for that very specific scent...but I am happy to have this in my collection. I need to experiment with layering; for now this gets a 6/10.
