Raphael by Sora Dora is an absolute masterpiece. The first spray literally made me laugh like a schoolgirl because I could not stop smiling. It opens with this tart, almost apple-and-grapefruit-like brightness, but it’s also spicy, powdery, and incredibly smooth. As it dries down, it turns into this luxurious, fancy baby-powder, musk scent. I also get a slight BR540-esque quality in the dry down, but Raphaël is truly in a league of its own. I’m not even going to lie, I cannot stop smiling 😂. Do not sleep on this fragrance. Sora Dora, this is that one! Banger fragrance! I’m a guy I wear more sweeter stuff because my skin scent is more salty but it’s definitely more female leaning however, it’s a compliment monster! Rating: 10/10

I don't know if I was influenced by the message behind this fragrance, but I captured it completely in my feelings and perception. It reminds me of my childhood, the countryside house, my grandparents... laundry day, where white linen sheets are hanging outside to air, along with my grandfather's freshly washed shirt through whose freshness the scent of tobacco smoke pushes through... The wooden floors inside the rooms have also just been washed, and the floor cloth is still sitting in a metal bucket full of suds. It's a special moment, especially in the countryside - that freshness that feels like a restart, right between a breath of relief, peace, and the birth of new energy.

This one is an absolute stunner and completely worth the wait. I managed to test it at the London Niche Show and it’s easily one of the most beautiful musky iris fragrances I’ve smelled in a long time. Smooth, elegant and addictive!! I have no doubt this is going to be hugely hyped once people get their noses on it. Update 2/7/2026: second impression Iris & clean musk- with musk on forefront . Violet is there but very subtle like balanced by another flower (very mellow one)and I noted something else that I cannot pinpoint like a tinsy bit of cedarwood or other wood, but not a sandalwood. It feels smooth ,very easy to wear. Still very early days, but so far, so good.

This perfume is quite unique for me, I don’t think it’s masculine at all on my skin in fact I’d say more feminine. It is definitely a skin scent, it whispers for a couple of hours but I don’t mind that, sometimes I crave a quiet scent . I get mostly iris and soft cosy musk not seasonal I think this can be worn year round and I’m looking forward to wearing it when it’s cold,grey and wet.

This is a masterpiece for me. Doesn’t really remind me of a coal miner though. People love it as a clean musky fragrance, but I can sense a slight coolness that is so sophisticated, unique and addictive at the same time. Amazing longevity too, lasts for 18+ hr, one spray and my whole day is perfectly scented.

OMG it's SO good. I have a lot of clean scents but nothing like this. It's, perfection in a bottle.

I feel like everyone is overanalysing this fragrance. This is a laundry detergent, soap style fragrance mixed with something tart and slightly sweet. It’s simply extremely clean. If you’re looking for a perfume that smells like you just washed your hands and put on freshly washed clothes, this is it, nothing more.

Super underwhelming, to be honest. It smells great but it's nothing we haven't tried before. Clean, powdery musk. The performance is also terrible, as this disappears after an hour on my skin. I think if it performed better then I'd consider owning a bottle, but not as it is.

Been wearing this for the past three days and to me, it's an odd one As far as the technical side of it goes... It's performing very very well for a skin scent - Longevity is superb and it provides a decent scent bubble while not being overwhelming that you can smell all day long As far as scent profile... that's where it's clunky in my opinion Although it fits the brief perfectly, i.e. a clean grand dad - That grand dad is a bit of an unbalanced mishmash of things It's as if he's using a light cologne over some overly fragrant (albeit of very good quality) washing products - soap/cream/powder - and he's a bit sweaty underneath it all even after having washed himself Not something I want to smell like and also, even if most fragrances are marketed as unisex nowadays, that's not something I would find appealing on a woman Side note : The base (musk, cashmeran, patchouli, woods) is very similar if not almost identical to the one in 7

I've had two encounters with Raphael now—several on blotters and one full wear on my skin. I really wanted to fall in love with this fragrance. The house is special to me, the name has personal meaning, and the note pyramid is exactly what I gravitate toward. Unfortunately, Raphael doesn't seem to connect with my skin chemistry. On me, it wears as a clean, powdery musk with a gentle iris accord. It's elegant and pleasant, but it feels surprisingly familiar, lacking the distinct personality I was hoping for. I can appreciate the iris, yet the violet remains almost invisible to my nose. Beautifully composed? Absolutely. Memorable on my skin? Sadly, not this time.

Maybe I can help you save some doll hairs here. I am shook by the rave reviews bc this is super average. Kind of weird and not good actually It's like a powdery sweet tart. A jumbled mishmash of notes. A makeup compact full of crumbled stale fruity candy. It doesnt know what it is- the notes have no definition, no direction. The title of masterpiece is earned. Idk why anyone would call this a masterpiece. Im talking Guidance, Nefs, Soie M, Rose de Kandahar- thats a masterpiece. This is just a flaccid penith. If I want something fluffy, powdery, comforting Im going for Heliotrope by Perf H, or La Mia Perla. This is molecular trizzash. (imo) Seems like they just wanted to release something and pushed this out the door.

Smells like cola mixed with toilet cleaner or something. I dunno. It's icky to me..

More masculine (to me) than I thought it would be. Was hoping it would be more unisex but for me it has a strong cologne vibe to it but don’t get me wrong, it’s nice just not fem enough for my tastes. I will say I enjoyed the dry down more than the opening because the dry down it became a bit more feminine and overall calmed the fragrance down a bit. I get a lot of violet, musk and something that lends itself to that classic male cologne smell. Performance was great. I was actually a little annoyed by it lasting as long as it did considering I didn’t like it on me but the longevity and performance as well is definitely there.

Raphael is an elegant, cold, metallic, risque musk. It's opening evokes barbershop cologne/shaving foam but it very swiftly develops into the violet & iris notes. On my skin it reads quite masculine, and dare I say it slightly resembles vicks vaporub (I wonder if there is a hidden camphor, menthol, or eucalyptus oil in it). Powerful.
