Cabanilla

I think I've found my perfect summer gourmand! I got a sample of this included with my Sorce order. This isn't a scent I would think to go for on my own, but I'm SO glad it was introduced to me. The second I smelled this I was taken back to spending summers at the beach house when I was younger. I specifically get a vivid memory of going to beachside restaurants lit up by string lights at night. This smells like a fruity piña colada with extra added vanilla. It screams summer without coming across as straight up sunscreen. As a vanilla lover, it can be hard to find scents that work well during the summer heat without becoming too suffocating. Cabanilla is truly a masterpiece because it manages to be both a yummy gourmand as well as a perfect summer scent for the heat. This was an immediate full bottle purchase for me! Fingers crossed my next Sorce order ships quickly!

To me this smells like a better, summer version of MMM By the Fireplace. I get smoke primarily, salt next, and then maybe the coconut/vanilla last. This smells nothing like sunscreen to me, which is good because I already have the pretty girl sunscreen scent covered with Alien Goddess in my collection. I can see myself wearing this on a night out at the bars after spending a day at the beach. Really nice! ETA: the dryodown sfter a couple hours is less smoky and is mainly that “Sorce scent” base. Still really nice and I’m glad to have it, but wish that smokiness stayed longer! ETA2: I smell zero bonfire now, even with a fresh apply. Idk if my nose changed or the perfume changed. I swear I smelled it so strongly the first several times I wore it! So weird!

My heart dropped when I saw I got this sample as a freebie in my Sorce order. I absolutely ABHOR the smell of sunscreen and I felt sort of bad that they had sent it to me. BUT! This is unbelievably gorgeous. No sunscreen! Just coconut and salty vanilla. Something bright in it too - I think on the website it mentioned Hedione was also included, which definitely tracks to my nose. Incredible scent!!

oooo this is truly the perfect sweet summer scent! i usually prefer vanillas for the colder months, but this is something else. coconutty, sunscreeny, vanilla goodness. i would almost classify this one as a green vanilla? it's super interesting! i think if you like funky fun vanilla's like chole's vanilla planifolia, this one would be right up your ally!

This is such a great hot spring or summer fragrance. It’s got a little bit of coconut, a little bit of a piña colada, a bit of vanilla, a touch of salt, maybe a hint of sunscreen. It’s like a beachy scent but even better because there’s this little bit of a gourmand touch. I love this.

I avoided this perfume for a while because I almost always find that coconut smells like sunscreen, but I am absolutely DAZZLED by Cabanilla. It is the warmest, smoothest, coziest vanilla-coconut-and-sun-kissed-skin scent. It is absolutely gorgeous.

Salty, slightly sweet coconut and vanilla with a little bit of campfire in the background like sitting by a bonfire after a day in the sun at the beach. Summery but not in your typical sunscreen, way very lovely

Best coconut vanilla perfume ever. It’s a mildly sweet coconut and vanilla scent, so perfect for warm weather. I don’t really smell the bonfire, maybe just a tiny bit but if it’s there it’s very distant.

so rare to find a fragrance that really captures the smell of heat rising off a pavement. the warmest, sugariest of vanillas blanketed in hazy sands. i really love this; incredible summer gourmand. simple, but effective

a nice, sweet, creamy vanilla coconut mix. truthfully i don't get much bonfire or sand - smells a bit like vanilla incense at most.. very inoffensive, would be great to wear anywhere.

This one is not for me, I don't like sunscreen scents. Salty, sandy, vanilla, sunscreen. It smells like the beach. It's pretty. Stays really close to the skin, but lasts for a long time. I worked out and took a walk outside and I still smell it when I hold my arm to my nose.

Suntan oil, not in an offensive way, just in a boring way. I love a beachy sunscreen scent, but this one isn’t doing it for me . I wouldn’t mind smelling like this if it was a sunscreen or tanning oil but I don’t want to pay perfume prices to smell like this.

unfortunately, does not smell like anything special to me, just regular generic sunscreen lotion but sweet, and without the chemical smell :(

Smells like sweet burning driftwood on the beach. Nice, but the fire note makes it a bit too artistic for me.

A little bit of a synthetic feel on my skin personally.

🥥☀️ Layering Magic: Cabanilla + In Love With Cocos I just layered Cabanilla by Sorce with In Love With Cocos by Fugazzi, and wow... instant tropical vacation. Cabanilla already has that creamy, sun-warmed vanilla energy, while In Love With Cocos brings the airy coconut water, orange blossom, ambrette, and beachy skin effect. Together, they fill in each other's gaps beautifully. What I love most is how natural it feels. The coconut never becomes overly sweet, while the vanilla adds just enough creamy comfort to make the whole composition glow. If summer could be bottled, this layering combination might be it. 🏝️☀️🥥🤍

this is not what i usually go for, but cabanilla strongly reminded me of my dear friend and i couldn't *not* add it to my cart. it is a lovely and somewhat understated coconut-vanilla. very beachy and summery, with the faint echo of a bonfire burning in the distance. the projection is low and the fragrance is simple, but it does what it does well, without feeling synthetic or screechy like some perfumes in this scent family do.

This is a decent summer fragrance. I was hoping to get more of the bonfire feel, but unfortunately I don't get any of the smoky or woody notes that others are getting. It mostly just smells like a coconut vanilla lotion to me. I do get a little bit of saltiness though, like putting on sunscreen right after getting out of the ocean. I might try layering it with By the Fireplace to try to replicate what others are smelling.

My favorite summer time vanilla! It's a dry vanilla coconut, a bit sunscreen-y, a bit salty with a touch of bonfire ever so slightly in the background. A truly unique scent perfect for the hot weather. It's a bit dense; it's not a light summer scent at all, but it never becomes cloying. It's perfection.

oooooo I really like this. I didnt expect to enjoy this at all. I am picky about coconuts and I don't like salt notes. Thus doesn't read that summery to me. The coconut is there but it is more of a smokey vanilla scent. Very good though! I like it a lot!

A very simple coconut vanilla scent, but it is done well! I don't find the coconut or vanilla super artificial or even overpowering one another. It’s mixed well.

One of my favorite summertime vanillas! If you enjoy BOSCA VANILLA by Guerlain or Taunt by Dedcool, you are sure to fall head over heels for this one.

I’ve tried this a few times but wasn’t for me... definitely not a safe blind buy the coconut is very dense almost oily smelling and very salty

smells like coconut and toasted marshmallows on the dry down i love it!
