Match Made in Heaven

The opening is very sweet, like creamy melted ice cream. As a gourmand lover, it's delicious, but I could see how it may be to sweet - almost nauseating - for some. As it dries down, the matcha comes through. This is not a "matcha latte" kind of scent like I had expected; this is photorealistic matcha powder. It is difficult to tell if I am smelling the sandalwood or the waffle cone more, and the cherry blossom is note is extremely subtle; it seems to add depth and bring it all together. After an hour of wear, there is a smell that is a little reminiscent of Play-Doh to my nose. My partner disagreed, though. I think it's the cherry blossom, but I'm not sure. After about hour 2 of wear, this dissipates for me. By this point, the scent comes full-circle and returns to that sweet, almost herbacious vanilla. At about hour 4, the matcha seems to begin fading, leaving a slightly green, sweet vanilla. By "green," it is just that. It is no longer matcha at this point, but the vanilla soft serve remains, still being lifted by the remnants of cherry blossom and a hint of sugar, maybe it's the waffle cone. It begins to become more of a skin scent by this point before it disappears entirely, at least as far as I could smell with my own nose. It lasted slightly longer on my clothes than it did on my skin. I will say that the brief Play-Doh scent worried me, as others have mentioned something similar, but it did not last long at all, and my partner still thought it smelled nice even at that point. This is a wonderful fragrance for spring, and I may wear it throughout the summer as well, as it's not too "heavy" of a gourmand. For reference, it is not as strong in terms of projection in comparison to Snow Moon Magic, which is my favorite from Sorce, but it is now one of my top favorites as well! Love it.

This is an absolutely BEAUTIFUL scent. It opens with a burst of matcha that’s creamy, softly green, and subtly grounded, like a serene moment captured in a teacup. As it evolves, a delicate vanilla begins to emerge that’s warm, cozy, and softly luminous. It doesn’t scream gourmand, nor does it feel sticky sweet. Instead, it has this warm comforting glow that feels like you’re being wrapped in the coziest hug. The dry down is where the real magic happens. The vanilla becomes more intimate and skin-like, humming rather than singing. Whimsical, pretty, and magnetic are how this fragrance makes me feel. Like a manic pixie dream girl except she’s the main character. Radiant, offbeat, and quietly unforgettable. With its delicate balance of uniqueness and charm, I must declare this full bottle-worthy. I guess Sorce might actually be dabbling in sorcery. EDIT: If you care about compliments (don’t worry we all like them), then rest assured, this is tried and true certified crowd pleaser. I cant speak much on longevity as I seem to go nose blind really quick, but projection is definitely there because people can seem to smell it at least an arms length away. TLDR: A whimsical, unique, matcha and vanilla scent. Welcoming, warm, and comforting are all words that come to mind. The type of scent the naturally pretty girl that doesn’t try too hard and wears crystals around her neck would wear. While I personally may not be a full believer in all that celestial energy... this is the type of scent that makes you want to change your mind. If you like your fragrances a little magical and a lot memorable, then this is your match made it heaven.

First impression: IT SMELLS LIKE DISNEYLAND!! This fragrance smells absolutely incredible, it really does take my back to my childhood walking down the main street of Disneyland, past all the ice cream places and such that make the waffle cones right in front of you. It's intoxicating, truly. What an incredible job they've done with this fragrance.A freshly pressed waffle cone with a whopping scoop of vanilla ice cream.. but like, elevated, and for adults. I'd not read the comments on this particular fragrances page prior to ordering it, I just see it talked about all the time on reddit and I finally caved. However, I feel that I should acknowledge... the person who said it smells like playdough, I'm inclined to agree. That wasn't my interpretation of the fragrance, for me it was heavy waffle cone and vanilla with this like, beautiful sandalwood underlay... HOWEVER, if you have that in your mind, it does smell like you cracked open a container of playdough. I don't really think 99% of people would make that association though, unless prompted. Anywho, not an issue for me, I can still enjoy it wonderfully the way it smelled before I read that comment! This is my first indie fragrance ever and it did not disappoint! I hear great things about Scorce, can't wait to try more <3 I find this fragrance to truly be so impressive.

Just sampled this for the first time and it was the best decision ever. I couldn't seem to find a gourmand that I liked--I was in the search for the perfect gourmand that I seriously thought didn't exist. Creamy, milky, sweet but not overly sweet and cloying, with hints of vanilla and cookies/waffles and a bit of nuttiness. I also wanted it to have something to balance out the vanilla (since vanilla scents generally tend to be on the more heavy/cloying side) so it would be suitable for spring/summer, and the matcha notes do this PERFECTLY. This checks off every single box. It's not extremely matcha-forward, but on the drydown it does resemble a matcha icecream or a matcha latte. Sometimes I sniff it and the green notes are ALMOST mint-like? Like a mint chocolate chip icecream hits my nose for a second and then I'm back to smelling the matcha icecream. It seems to be a bit almond-forward, and so the nuttiness reminds me of a sweet matcha latte with steamed oatmilk. So delicious and calming and creamy and yummy in every single way! Bravo for being the first gourmand I've ever given a 10/10. The extrait de parfum is really long lasting and has ZERO notes of alcohol, even on initial spraydown, so that's a bonus. Will be purchasing a full size for sure.

I just got mine in the mail about two hours ago (secondhand) and I'm in love with it It was a blind buy, but I have at points in my life had a matcha latte every single morning, so I was pretty confident I would love this. Upon first spray, I immediately get a candied pineapple scent. This might literally just be me, my partner says he does not smell anything pineapple-y at all. I suspect it's coming from the cherry blossom but I'm not sure. This isn't a negative for me though, it's just interesting. Either way, it goes away quickly and reveals a rich matcha vanilla gourmand that really reminds me of my matcha latte order with a pump of vanilla. I'm pretty shocked at how accurate the matcha scent is, it's not a generic "green tea" and it actually does have a strong bitterness to it that really is a "match made in heaven" for the sweet ice cream notes. Also: I don't have a ton of fragrances, but this one has the largest silage of any of them. I have a weak sense of smell, but I can clearly smell it from my wrists even when my arms are down.

I have a ton of fragrances and this is easily one of my favorites. I disagree with the reviewers saying it smells like play doh, but of course as with every fragrance, they can react differently with people's skin chemistry. This fragrance truly smells like a matcha latte and a sugary waffle cone. It is the most delectable thing I have ever smelled and it lasts forever as well. I already plan on buying some backup bottles just in case Sorce ever discontinues the fragrance (if you are reading this, please don't discontinue it haha). I feel like you could wear this all year round, but it is especially nice in the fall and winter! If you are a gourmand lover and you know you like the scent of matcha, I would actually say this is a safe blind buy as long as you are aware of the small chance that it could not react well to your skin chemistry like other reviewers.

I decided to grab this as a sample as ive heard amazing things about sorce and their scents; let me tell you I am not disappointed at all While you dont get matcha initially, you do get an absolutely DELIGHTFUL gourmand The warmth of a freshly made waffle cone and the sweetness from the vanilla only to get a small waft of sweet, slightly bitter, greenie matcha! Its devine, absolutely buying a full bottle Im sure you arent buying this for a matcha forward scent HOWEVER: I will warn if youre looking for a bigger matcha note, this is still lacking the overtly bitter tang that comes from matcha! But if you want a complex gourmand that smells like warm sugar and vanilla with a little hint of something extra? Grab this

I absolutely adore this perfume. It’s exactly as described- sweet matcha, waffle cone, almondy (in addition to the almonds, I think the cherry blossom land almondy here as well), with the texture of soft serve ice cream. It’s sweet- almost too sweet for me at times but it’s still a masterpiece. The matcha in the opening is so photorealistic; it opens with that matcha and waffle cone, then everything starts to blend together and get sweeter as it wears on. I have a 15 ml and definitely need a full size asap 🌸🍵🍦🍬 Edit: I had to pop back on and say- I got curious bc I also own Unknown Pleasures and get a waffle cone vibe from it so layered the two. Simply put- Mouthwatering.

i can see how it smells a bit like peppermint, but wow. after finally getting a sample, i understand why this is a cult favorite; it smells exactly like matcha powder -- as if you took a whiff from a container -- especially when initially sprayed, the bitterness is present in the background but it's so creamy and airy as mentioned by others (due to the vanilla ice cream/waffle notes) i normally never get a full bottle of anything, but i may just have to because of this.. so photorealistic but it's not overbearing.. it fades into a nice vanilla, and the matcha is still yet there, just a bit powdery rather than starchy edit: ended up ordering a bottle :)

the scent is definitely an aquired taste! i get a lot of the matcha on my skin but not much else, and i was kind of hoping for the ice cream and waffle cone to play a bigger part. it's not offensive but i don't know if i want to smell like straight matcha EDIT: this perfume haunts me. i accidentally spilled my sample on my pillows and kept smelling hints of it for about a week straight while i was trying to sleep. it's been months since then and now i'm smelling it on a shirt i've washed countless times. its earthiness has captivated me and i have the acquired taste needed to enjoy it now. i can't take it anymore, i'm ordering a 15ml

after owning this for over a month i can say this is one of my favorite perfumes ever. it was definitely more of a bitter matcha scent at first but i feel the gourmand notes pop out way more now. it’s so wonderfully blended in a way where i can’t pick one single note out but is instead just a lovely creamy matcha scent. i noticed while wearing it throughout the day the scent becomes softer and sweeter while the projection gets even stronger. my wrist would be at least a foot from my face and i’d catch a whiff. it lasts 12+ hours on skin and even longer on clothes. 11/10 sorce did it’s big one here🍵

This is very pretty! Although I can see why some would find similarities to Killian Princess I feel like this is very different. I’m happy about that as I’m not a fan of Princess but find myself loving this. On my skin I get a lot of matcha in the opening. It has a beautiful earthy matcha aroma. It definitely settles mid way through but I do still pick up hints of it in the dry down. I mostly get a sweet cold vanilla ice cream & waffle cone as the matcha settles a bit. It’s sweet but not too sweet. I am very happy with this & I imagine it will get better over time.

one of the most delicious smelling fragrances i own. inspired by matcha cafe maiko, the most prominent notes here are matcha tea, ice cream, and waffle cones. unfortunately i don’t really get any of the matcha here, i mostly get a mouth watering waffle cone that was just freshly made. the ice cream is melting down the sides of the cone, and you have butterflies in your stomach on the first date. it’s easy to see why this fragrance has become a cult favorite; i highly recommend picking up a bottle on the next restock. sorce never disappoints <3

This is the loveliest matcha fragrance I’ve tried so far. It smells like matcha powder atop a sweet vanilla dessert; never leaning too earthy nor too gourmand. There’s no fishiness. I’m seeing comparisons to Killian’s Princess, and they may be in the same perfume category but they’re two different scents to my nose. Princess is a powdery, plush marshmallow first and foremost whereas Matcha Made in Heaven is more centered on the matcha and the vanilla in here is more like vanilla ice cream than marshmallow. Both are airy and delicate.

i absolutely love this perfume!!!!!!! it smells specifically how a dunkin matcha latte tastes like (i would know i get them all the time). creamy matcha melted ice cream and it dries down to a matcha powdery vanilla sugar scent, its absolutely delicious and has become one of my FAVORITES ever. I get so many compliments when i wear this. the “green” note of the matcha is not super strong where its overly green, but it has enough to make it smell unique and different from other matcha perfumes!

I actually enjoy this one. I do indeed get matcha and I also get that waffle cone. It’s really sweet, almost treacly. So if that’s your thing this is perfect. It did take 6 weeks to arrive. So be warned, they do make these in small batches. As for the scent it is a green tea, waffle cone scent leaning into the sweetness of the sugary ice cream. If anything it literally smells like green tea ice cream on a waffle cone. It’s cute and fun. But not for everyday wear personally

Creamy vanilla ice cream with matcha, but less bitter than d.Annam’s Matcha Soft Serve. Brings to mind more of a milky matcha latte, I have Muji instant latte powder and this smells almost exactly like that. As it dries down I get hints of caramel, a pancakey sweetness, which could be the waffle cone note? I don’t get cherry blossom at all, though. It dried down sweet and creamy on my skin, with the slightest touch of matcha latte powder. And it lasted all day!

why is no one talking about how long this lasts. genuinely absurd longevity. 2 days and 1 everything shower later and i can still smell it on my chest. a more subtle sillage than what i usually go for but it's such a divine fragrance that i don't care about a scent cloud. very green on the opening then dries down into the yummiest sweetest freshest matcha latte of all time. the cherry blossom is such a wonderful note as well. i smell like a princess.

was initially SO scared about blind buying this bc i feared i wouldn't get alot of matcha in the smell but i've been BLOWN away. This is smells exactly like a matcha latte with extra sweetener that i had one day during late fall. this might actually become my signature scent this is so yummy, i'm more of a florals/greens perfume lover in general but this has me HOOKED. Will def be ordering the 100ml when the 30ml i got runs out <3333

The search is over before it even started. I wanted a sweet matcha scent in my collection and this was the first one I got my hands on. I simply don't feel the need to look for another one anymore. It has everything I could wish from a tea gourmand scent. Must admit that the actual tea note is the first one to evaporate, however the dry down is still very lovely, light, sweet and delicious. Every gourmand lover is gonna enjoy it.
