Meet Me On the Sunnyside

I adore this scent, much more than I expected to. This perfume is so fresh and juicy, so humid, so playful. Summer incarnate. Meet Me on Sunnyside smells very true to the notes - the clementine, osmanthus blossom, ice cream and petrichor play so nicely together. It's not too sweet, nor too rich and cloying from the ice cream, I actually smell the clementine, osmanthus, and petrichor much more. (Don't expect this one to smell like creamsicle, or rich and lactonic like Match Made In Heaven - the ice cream here is subtle, adding the smallest touch of creamy sweetness.) The osmanthus blossom is gently floral, but also a little warm and peachy to my nose. It gives the clementine a peachy vibe. It's stunning. The petrichor note is just gorgeous, and very prominent through the entire wear. It really makes this perfume so special. It doesn't give "dirt/concrete" as much as I expected it to (and to be frank, I wouldn't have been upset if it did. I'm not afraid of a lil dirt) but don't let that note scare you away if it makes you nervous. It just smells steamy, humid, damp and breezy. It's almost something that I taste on the roof of my mouth more than I actually smell it. I'm addicted. This will be one of my go-to fragrances this summer, I already know it. To compare it to other Sorce scents - to my nose it is very similar to A Sign Painted Peaches, with that same "taste it on the roof of your mouth" humidity that Venus in Fleurs has. It has similar watery vibes to The Things Unsaid, but is more similar to the other two. It's their love child, but with clementine instead of peach or mango. (It smells nothing like Sorce's other oranges: Vampire Wife, Tarot at Tea Time, I Think About You Too, or Sitting on the Edge of a Cloud, in my opinion.)

Ok I finally get it... When this arrived, I immediately sprayed it on a test strip and all I got was muddy oranges. If I wanted to be fancy, I would say it initially smelt like walking through an orange grove after a rainstorm. The petrichor is really earthy different from the petrichor note in “things unsaid” and the rest of the notes were more in the background. I know that Sorce scents need some time to develop and it changed for the better after a few weeks. WOW IM IN LOVE 😍💕😍💕 the clementine and osmanthus are more present. they’re blended with that creamy ice cream note plus that signature Sorce vanilla we all love. The earthy petrichor is now toned down but still present enough to give this scent a niche twist instead of being too gourmand. Beautiful, sweet and still unique.

I LOVE THIS. Sprayed it on my arm at Scent Bar LA and couldn’t get it out of my head! Luckily, I scored a bottle someone was decluttering. It’s soooooo lovely. Creamy, citrusy, fun! It’s really bright and uplifting. I guess I can see the “skittles” note some have mentioned and also some vanilla, but it’s not a traditional vanilla. I’m NOT a big gourmand girlie, but I can do little hints of that style here and there. This has quickly become my new summer scent. ❤️

It smells exactly like skittles and I mean that literally! The opening is just straight candy blast before it settles into this weird warm rubbery dry down that somehow smells like recess in elementary school. (I think it’s a combination of the candy/petrichor/rubberyness) It’s super nostalgic and I’m lowkey obsessed 🍬☀️🛝

Such a perfect summer gourmand. It’s almost as if you had a creamsicle that was slightly more sour, like more Clementine than orange, but then add-on a little bit of breeze carrying that summer Osmanthus blossom as you’re walking down the street eating your creamsicle. This is so good.

Another beautiful scent from Sorce. I love the petrichor and orange with a hint of vanilla. Not too sweet and perfect.

What an interesting fragrance that evolves throughout its wear. On the testing strip, it smells like straight-up citrusy Smarties. On skin from a distance, or carried on the wind, it's Smarties, orange creamsicle, vanilla ice cream. Up close though: plastic, almost petroleum-like, or Carmex. Not sure why. Fortunately that plastic quality fades over time, settling into a simple, clean vanilla.

I received a sample and hated it. Tried it again a month later, and it was a really nice aromatic orange fragrance with a sweet vanilla dry down. This one definitely needs to sit for a month or more to bloom. A really interesting fragrance and worth having in my opinion.

so sunny and warm : ) feels like the colour orange. once sat on a bench and someone at the far side of the bench complimented my perfume! sprays a bit bitter at first, but the longer i had it / the more i sprayed the sweeter it got. i think you should give this a try!!!

So this petrichor, it’s definitely interesting. Really smells like wet minty earth. It’s a bit overwhelming, but also very intriguing. I’m so conflicted.

This release has been incredibly polarizing. On some it is a lovely sweet orange creamsicle and on others it is mud and orange peels. It’s wild how different everyone’s experiences have been. I think this is one of those scents easily altered by skin PH, which is kind of fascinating if you think about it. On my skin, I predominantly get muddy vegetation, but with a deep background of orange pushpop. I honestly, can’t decide if I love it or hate it. Regardless, I appreciate the direction and the slightly out of the box moment from Sorce’s normally more readily palatable catalog.

This one is strange for me. I don't find find this wearable. I was trying to convince myself that I at least liked it but after cleansing my nose with a perfume I did like and coming back to it - it felt more unappealing. It is heavily petrichor with slight citrus in the background. It does remind me of a hot humid rainy day. I find as it dries down the citrus completely disappears and all I smell is the petrichor. The minty wet earth description from the other review is spot on. I don't find it a flattering scent.

Upon first spray I absolutely get what the vision is, being a child and eating a creamsicle on the pavement. Very nostalgic. Unfortunately its just a little sharp for me, almost smelling like gasoline in the opening. That goes away after a few minutes but the petrichor note sticks around and is just a little too "dirty" smelling for my liking. I will say after an hour or two its quite beautiful, and gets better and better on the dry down. Wouldnt get a bottle but I appreciate the sentiment.

Get ready to hate me. It's not at all what I was expecting. Not, AT ALL. I was expecting creamy vanilla orange with a bit of earthiness. It smells chemical, nostalgic like Murphy's Oil and, yes, like others have said, Pez. Plus band-aid. So, like my elderly neighbors' houses who waxed their furniture too much. Literally smells like part of my experience of the 90s but also a very Gen Z vibe at the same time if you don't sniff it up close.

complex, ripe orange creamsicle tangerine skin! the osmanthus makes this one a bit herbal/aromatic so it’s not cloying. a bit medicinal, not a FB purchase for me but fun to sniff! dreamy non-gourmand summery scent

Smells like those orange scented erasers you got as a kid? Plus as it dries down I get a little bit of a wood note so that doesn't help anything.

Smells like I was eating an orange and face planted in some dirt that a car had just drove through. I get the zesty, bright orange at first but then the petrichor come in very strong. There's also a hint of something like gasoline. I'm very surprised because it's the only Sorce fragrance I actively dislike. I'm going to let my bottle sit and see if any of the sweeter notes get stronger.
