Snow Moon Magic

I finally was able to get my nose on this viral perfume and, spoiler alert, I've already ordered a full-size bottle. I was trying to keep my expectations a bit low as I had seen people say this is too gourmand. Although I am a gourmand lover (especially when it comes to vanilla), I tend to not like anything too bakery-photorealistic, and I especially have some trouble with butter notes and saltiness. However, I think this is balanced perfectly. The chai spices, lavender, and cookie butter are the stars of the show for me but the steamed milk, vanilla, and marshmallow add the perfect amount of sweetness to complement the herbal and buttery notes. It is simply the most perfect concoction for coziness. I think this would shine most in the winter snow, and also would definitely be wearable in the fall. But I can also see myself wearing this to bed with the windows open on a cool spring or summer night. It's like a hug in a bottle. I think maybe it's that crystal accord that adds that subtle cool feeling in the background. I can't wait to get my bottle. (Please note this is a review for the IPM-based version, as I am Canadian)

what's crazy is the other day i was thinking "how come sorcellerie (now 'sorce'?) isn't on fragrantica?" .....now here they are! i'm happy they're getting exposure! it's like your favorite indie band/artist becoming mainstream-- you wanna be selfish/want them for yourself but at the same time, you want the world to see how amazing they are! snow moon magic: what initially was a 1ml sample gift with my first sorce purchase (match made in heaven), became my favorite fragrance of all time! i loved it so much, i had to get myself a full size! snow moon magic is a lavender chai with tons of whip cream and maybe some caramel drizzle. believe it or not, that's actually my go to drink (always iced btw lol). SMM is a sweet, creamy, buttery, gourmand. some might find it cloying but i honestly just wanna eat mys-- drink myself? eat? whatever! i want more! i can't wait to see what the talented miss caitlyn puts out next!

this smell brings me back to february 2012 in suburban new york. the giants are at the super bowl, my friends and i are all at our best friend’s house because our fathers’ are huge football fanatics alongside the fact that she and her brother have the biggest house out of all of our parents, we are excited because LMFAO are the halftime show artists, and our friend’s mom made the best cookies and cakes for us. the giants win; we stay up all night out of new york pride and triumph. the next day—i sleepily go over at my aunt and uncle’s house for an hour play date with my cousin and my aunt has her house smell like a sweet, cozy, and woody vanilla. i haven’t smelled that feeling in years until now. pure nostalgia that i yearn for and miss in a bottle.

This grew on me slowly and now it’s one of my favorite scents of all time. This smells like you’ve foraged through a winter ridden forest for eternity and are about to get frostbite - but you stumble across a cabin, with a grandma looking through the window, and takes you in. She’s very warm and hospitable - and makes you rest on a cozy warm couch, topped with a weighted blanket. She brings you over a tray that contains a steaming hot mug of masala chai, complimented with marshmallows melting into the drink - followed with oozy cookies that were baked with HEAPS of cookie butter, and dried stems of lavender on the side to compliment the gourmand aromas with a relaxing one.

got my wisdom teeth out today and want to eat masala chai cookies so badly, so im wearing this to try and lull me into a false sense of security (& into bed). buttery, fluffy, lightly spiced, yet airy--whenever i have this on, the imagery of powdered sugar snow always dances around in my mind. it smells like when i was a kid, asking my mom (with a bat of my eyelashes) to bring me chai with lots of milk and sugar to my bedside alongside a little late night dessert so i could warm myself up and recover from the flu. a plush throw blanket in the middle of december, a kiss on the forehead, and the sensation of counting sheep. fingers crossed i can sleep as well tonight

This is the fragrance i've been looking for. I have an extensive collection and if i had to get rid of all my other bottles and keep only one, this would be the one. It smells like a warm small kitchen in which someone is baking oatmeal cookies and there is a a pot of tea brewing on the stovetop. It's so warm and cozy, so nostalgic, i just can't describe how good it smells to me, it blew my mind. I wear it with its sister moon magic which is more lavender and spice forward, less sweet and also stronger i'd say. I am not a lavender person at all and i love it!

This is such a rich and heavenly gourmand. It smells faintly of a milky fresh chai latte dusted with lavender, and there's a tray of sugar cookies that just came out of the oven. Throughout the day, the lavender fades, but the lactonic slightly spicy and coziness remains. It's been exactly 7 hours of wearing it, and I can still smell it on my clothes. It's definitely faint now, but the longevity is great. The sillage is definitely a bit more than arm's length, but maybe not quite six feet. Very cozy winter gourmand and one of my new favorites!

Absolutely delicious scent! When I first sprayed it was getting coffee? Which is odd bc there is no coffee note but it immediately disappeared into cookie and chai! This is so yummy and cosy, my husband got it for me for my birthday and it was a blind buy but because I love gourmand it was a safe blind buy for me! I wanna also mention I am not getting any lavender with this, just creamy cookies and a hot bevy! Def recommend if you love sweet cosy scents. (Edit: I can smell the lavender in the dry down, it’s quite prominent)

my absolute favorite perfume!!! as a lover of gourmands, this fits the bill perfectly. it starts off as an herbal, but warm lavender, and as the day goes on, the chai and cookie notes come in in the perfect way. this is my boyfriend's favorite fragrance on me as well. he always says i smell like fresh baked cookies :) i have purchased smm twice now ! layered with eilish no 1 body spray, or extra whip by snif, the vanilla, sugar, and marshmallow notes are all enhanced. can not say enough about this fragrance

I’ve been trying to sample this or buy a bottle of this for the longest time! So pleased I managed to get a sample from Lucky scent to the UK. What a gorgeous chai, lavender, cookie vanilla! I hate the new bottles though. What a shame. The old ones were so creative, unique and niche. I’ll still be buying a full bottle whenever I can get a hold of one, because I absolutely love this, but the new bottles are so burning. What a total shame!

Photorealistic cookies & chai tea. Buttery, vanilla. Sweet, milky, spiced tea. Caitlin makes incredible fragrances, Sorce is a gem. This one is an incredibly realistic chai - she nailed the scent profile! Longevity is phenomenal on this one. Images of snuggling with a good book, plate of cookies, sipping tea by the fire before bed. If you love a good chai tea scent, this is such an edible gourmand!!

This opens with lavender that's fresh, slightly floral, dusted with powdered sugar. The scent develops with warm chai spices and the smell of buttery cookies. As the scent continues you get a marshmallowy fluffiness and a creamy milkiness. Overall this is a warm, slightly spiced, milky gourmand scent with hints of lavender freshness. Just lovely.

Smells divine! Very similar to Moon Magic except it’s less spicier and SMM is way creamier and sweeter. I thought MM was ok but SMM is absolutely gorgeous. I can smell the cookie butter right away, has bit of chai spices and a tiny bit of lavender. It’s a cozy scent, not overly sweet as well. So suitable for cold weather.

I thought I had had my fill of gourmand fragrances but I took a chance that this would be special and I am not disappointed. It sells out fast so I took my chances and blind bought a 100ml bottled . Whew! It’s a blind by success. It is gourmand but more wearable than the notes listed. The oil concentration is insane.

Looking to purchase this in Australia if anyone has one to sell. I sampled a decant and fell in love. This is my perfect cozy bedtime fragrance. Or even curled up by the fire with a book in winter. I'd happily live in this scent bubble forever. It's definitely giving me vanilla chai latte vibes. Absolutely divine.

Usually not a fan of lactonic scents. This is an exception. Drinking chai with cream by a cozy fireplace in the colder months of fall. Cookies distantly baking in the oven with a warm blanket on your lap. Loving the spices from the chai really bringing it all together. And it lasts ALL DAY.

an absolutely warm and comforting gourmand that was love at first spray. a sugary sweet, photorealistic buttery cookie that never felt synthetic, something a lot of gourmands can fall victim to. wish the spiced chai was a little more forward, but i love it all the same. a new favorite

This has the most gorgeous buttery vanilla note that has come to be after sitting for a few months. Unfortunately it just doesn't last or project enough for me but I'm still going to buy a big bottle upon the restock because it's that beautiful. I can douse myself in it at bedtime.

on initial spray you get a lot of the warmth and spicy from the chai, and then as it dries down it settles into a sweet, delicious vanilla. i'm a big fan of photorealistic gourmands like straight cake/cookie scents, and this is a more mature version of that type of perfume. love it

It's a photorealistic buttery chai cookie. So warm and cozy and delicious. I'm skeptical about vanilla-heavy and spice-heavy gourmands, because they can be extremely sweet and synthetic and cloying and dizzying, but this is very lowkey and pleasant on the nose. Very well done!!
