The Ancient Waters of Venus

For the mermaids (or the sirens) This perfume surprised me! I don't know exactly what I expected, perhaps something more dense and` greenly aquatic, but this scent is so pink and fruity, so feminine, so fun. It's floral, too, but in a gentle way. Peony always smells sour and almost citrus to my nose (in a good way!), and it's definitely doing that here. Everything is so blended, so pretty, so humid and juicy. (It's almost humid in the way "Venus in Fleurs" is, where you can taste it on the roof of your mouth, but that one smells more green and this one smells more pink and juicy.) I certainly would drink this. It's yummy lychee, watery peony, delicious. A little tart, sweet but not too sweet. Could imagine this scent dripping from a mermaid's hair.

Very unique scent. I don't have anything like it, indie or luxury. I really like it. It tickles my nose in a way no other smell has. Very sweet, very aquatic and juicy. The lychee opens strong, bright, musky. Light, watery pinks and aqua, drenched in a sparkling Venusian haze. I find it fits the listed notes and really matches the image provided on Sorce's website for this scent. It is STRONG and bordering on cloying, but I love it, and I have gotten compliments on it. Girly, watery, juicy pink, heady, dripping lychee, musky, sparkling aqua, Venusian shimmer, shaded mermaid pool. Be careful not to overapply this one. It can quickly overpower. Appropriately named!

I might just have an addiction for The Ancient Waters of Venus. This is beyond beautiful. Totally other worldly; The epitome of siren flare. Everything is so balanced and grounded; with each note playing its part in perfect harmony. It might be a touch one dimensional but that doesn't take away from the fact that there is something undeniably special about this fragrance.

it’s like. fairy water??? like water but better??? as a woody hater, i LOVE how the wood acts in this one! it just grounds the watery notes, making them appear “wet,” if anything. i don’t get much lychee, but the water lotus is a tad sweet, which is where that note may shine more! i would definitely get an oil or 15ml of this one, it would be so beautiful to layer other fragrances with and i can’t imagine how greatly it would shine on a hot day! (edit: this smells EXACTLY like boysmell’s spa water candle!!!!)

A very pretty sugared lychee! I really smell the lychee but it's blended nicely with the other floral notes. I also can strongly pick up on the aquatic notes--I know some of my friends said that the opening smells a bit strong/stinky, and I presume it's because of the water notes, but I think it smells quite nice. It has a bit of haziness and fogginess to it. It's a unique scent and the closest thing to a true lychee scent I've found!

I do not get watery notes at all. It is very synthetically fruity and overly sweet to me. The peony and lychee are overpowering in this. I would say it is not a safe blind buy and it would be best to test this first.
