The Bees are Flying

Sorce's best scent. Honey, honey, honey! I've fallen so in love with this scent. Please never get rid of her. The petrichor comes through so beautifully, it smells humid in the best way. I have never found a perfume so light but beast mode. Lasts hours and hours and creates a beautiful scent bubble. I can put it on at 7am and still smell it fully late into the night. I am in love and obsessed. If you have it, layer it with Match Made in Heaven. They pair beautifully! Edit: also layers well with Nimbostratus from Osmofolia (as of rn, not on here and they seem to have shut down? Never returned from a hiatus from over a year ago :( ). Really beautiful combo if you can get your hands on it! Amps up the rain factor by 100! I also have now gone back for a 15ml travel size of The Bees so I can keep it on me even when I travel, despite having a 100ml on my dresser, kept separate from the rest of my perfume colelction due to how special it is. The atomizer also needs praise. I feel like the dent I've made is so small compared to how often I wear this and how much I spray. Based off my math, if you wear 6-7 sprays every single day, a 100ml bottle will still last you 9 months. Which is insane based on other brands' atomizers absolutely obliterating product way too quickly (looking at you especially, Kayali. Atomizers on their new bottles are CRIMINAL). Overall, can't sing enough praises for The Bees!

I ordered some samples from Sorce a few months ago and they added this one in for free. I am so glad they did! I didn't think I would like a honey smelling perfume. I was very wrong! I fell in love instantly. It smells like honey comb and sweet tarts to me. It was beyond gorgeous! I could not get enough. Soooo, I ordered a 15ml. It's still lovely BUT it's not as rich and luxurious as the sample. I'm guessing the sample was oldish. Half way through the bottle I bought, I learned about maceration and the rest of that bottle is in a dark place awaiting September! I have a feeling it'll be fantastic by then. In the meantime, I got a 6ml oil to hold me over.

Caitlyn has done it again! Honey scents are not safe blind buys for me, so I was happy to receive a sample of this and ordered a full bottle as soon as I got my nose on it..and I mean IMMEDIATELY! This is such a beautiful honey, it fills up the air and your nose in a captivating manner that is bold enough but not too harsh like some honey scents on the market. It’s like the fresh cream and iris helps soften the honey note then the jasmine and mimosa play a supporting role to the honey. Perfect way to describe this is a honeycomb hive in a damp garden filled with mimosa and jasmine.

So this is a highly unexpected gourmand to me. It's well known I am not a lover of gourmand fragrances. This one does it so well though I can't not love it. It opens with a delicious, warm, honey scent...that makes you want to eat it. Then as it begins to dry down you get this gorgeous scent of a simmering waffle batter or the scent of a freshly baked pizzelle with the most SUBTLE hint of vanilla possible. As the dry down completes you get an unexpected complexity from a mere hint of petrichor that is sooo unexpected. It delivers a great depth to an otherwise pure scent.

I can still smell this on my arm after showering. Smells like walking out into a flower field in the middle of summer. Absolutely lovely even to me, and I'm not often a fan of floral fragrances.

This is absolutely gorgeous. I love honey fragrances and this is a great one. It has that thick cocooning feeling while remaining bright and wearable.

A bee party with honey! Absolutely love this scent, just wish it would last a tad bit longer.

There’s something that this one reminds me of that I can’t quite put my nose to. It’s a super sweet honey scent that’s bright and sunny. It’s almost citrusy? I wish that I could put my finger on what it is but it’s very delightful

I like that there's a noticeable beeswax scent along with the honey, but it is very very sweet. To be expected with honey, I guess! Somehow less sweet than English Major (a good thing).

sweet syrupy honey candy! slightly floral, a tad like honeysuckle. i don’t like honey and i probably wouldn’t wear this, but it didn’t nauseate me at all. somehow floral and grounded, not cloying surprisingly

Very syrupy and kind of waxy. White floral and green. Listed notes pretty accurate, especially pollen. I'm sort of medium on this. Kinda smells like an organic candle store in a barn or something.

Far too aromatic and hay-like to my nose. I think that the honey in here is more like a wild and raw honey. It comes with the honeycomb and the wax as well. It isn’t refined and sugary, it’s more like something a bear would try to get into if it found a beehive in the woods... As for the other notes, they get muddled and indistinct, I smell hay or grass. It’s sharp and not in a good way. Not my thing, honestly. If you want a more refined or sweet honey in a fragrance, I suggest Ellis Brooklyn Bee or Noteworthy #768 Golden Reign. Both are sweet and honey centered with slight differences but definitely no sharpness or grass-like wildness...

I will preface with this by saying that I like this, am very happy to own it and will wear it despite what I'm about to say lol. First, I love that when you wear it and move around, you get whiffs of straight sweet honey. The earthiness in this reminds me of that in English Major. Picture that but replace the marshmallow with sticky, sweet, syrupy honey. Very pretty. The honey is reminiscent of the honey I get in Chris Collins African Rooibos. I'm happy to have it and am excited to layer with it. HOWEVER, for some reason I can't help but picture a public restroom...lol. NOT ALWAYS, but occasionally the earthiness in it reminds me of like an outdoor park bathroom. It's probably just a me thing, though. I wouldn't let that deter you.

Honey, honey, and more honey. I have a hard time smelling anything past the honey and jasmine - I can't quite decide how I feel about her. Need to wear her more and then decide.
