The Light Through Clouds

This is like the haziest of childhood memories—all sweetness and light. It’s south Florida rain showers and citrus groves, midday naps on sun porches and dragonflies dancing on water. Somehow both energizing and cozy, the candied lemon draws you into the most delicious cup of white tea before mellowing out to a comforting musk. I’m a sucker for anything citrus but I nearly passed on this when visiting Sorce’s store last month because I was afraid it wouldn’t last long on my skin, yet layered on skin and clothes I’ve found this lasts me a good 6 or so hours. Even if this isn’t the scent I wear out, I usually give it a quick smell before leaving the house because it is just so good. Very much fits the artwork on the bottle!

Such a pleasant and peaceful fragrance. I smell no pepper, to be honest. The citrusy sharpness isn’t even that sharp, it’s more fruity and there’s a subtle sweetness coming from the fruits. The tea and chamomile notes are enchanting and I cannot stop smelling my wrist! As time passes by, the fragrance becomes more musky with a hint of chamomile. It’s comforting and cozy but there isn’t any of the fruity sweetness anymore (on my skin). The dry down has a return of the citrusy notes but softer. This isn’t a nuclear fragrance, it’s more of a quiet and refreshing pleasant perfume that works for every day especially in Spring and Summer, in my opinion. Beautiful and very nicely done!✨🌤️✨

This is lovely. I dont like citrus scents typically. I went searching for sichuan pepper notes and this was one. Mostly candied lemon/the orange at first but somehow it rounds out with the ambergris, pepper, and tea. The amber also glows through. This is super delightful and I was hopeful but not expecting to like it this much. Something about it is triggering an olfactory memory but idk what it is. I got it in the oil rollerball......pressed to think this may be my summer scent for this year.

I live and breathe this fragrance. When I die, I want them to literally embalm me with it! It smells like lemonade being sipped on by a beautiful witch who lives in a forest by a sparkling stream. Her hair is blonde and she may or may not be dating a sunbeam angel. It makes me feel cozy, clean, and somehow hot at the same time. Definitely on my favorites shelf, and certainly my favorite by Sorce!

Sorce often leaves me speechless, and with this one it's no different. The Light Through Clouds is scent that's hard to describe because it's 1. a masterpiece 2. paints a picture of a moment in time. It's bright, clean, and glimmering! It lasted 2 weeks on my tester strip, and 6+ hours on skin. Sorce did an amazing job with this collection.

I love this but it has hardly any sillage. I am willing to sacrifice longevity for something that smells good but I’ve had skin scents I can smell more than this. I wish theyd find a way to give it some more umph so I could smell it more than the first 5 minutes.

Beautiful, clean, and uplifting with a bright citrus twist that screams quiet luxury. Smells like the laundry of people rich enough to have a home in the Hamptons, where sunlight filters through linen curtains and nothing ever actually gets dirty.

This falls under my watercolor perfume category. Musky sichuan pepper with ethereal ambergris, sprinkled with candied lemon.

I have one of the old oil samples. I like this, but since I've moved somewhere colder I don't think I'll get a full size. It really needs a bit of sun to shine, otherwise I mostly smell bitter lemon. When in sunny weather it almost reminds me of a yuzu soda, the roundedness to it. Fresh in a cloudy way like the name implies, I think the least sweet of any sorce perfume I've smelled. Since people have said that the silliage isn't great, I'll say that for the oil I have no issues, and the longevity is great. But since I mostly go for oils over sprays I likely have lower standards.

Went into the actual Sorce store and got the rollerball version of this scent. WOW, it's so good! To me it's very light, sweet, airy, and fresh Definitely more of a sweet/female scent to me. So great for a nice spring/summer day. I can't stop smelling my wrist! Seems to have a pretty big sillage too. Love it so much, very luxurious, but not exactly my signature scent.

I was a bit unsure about this scent but after testing it out it’s really really nice! It smells like a fresh sugary citrus fruit with some florals. Very refreshing and bright. Don’t be scared about the Sichuan pepper note, I use Sichuan peppercorn in my cuisine a lot the scent is really fragrant and not spicy at all.

i might be kinda anosmic to this one but it might be one of the least obvious sorce perfumes i’ve tried. slightly aquatic floral? it's very bubbly and fresh, but not particularly loud

For me it opens strongly of powdered skin. Something light, pillowy, floral. Then I smell the lemon and a touch of the pepper and vetiver - Almost dry grass like. It's clean, airy, and inoffensive. I don't love it, but I'd say it's a safe office daytime scent. Probably not a safe blind buy because of how powdery it reads. I believe it's pretty gender neutral, slightly leaning towards feminine.

Interesting fragrance. It’s unisex and has a light sweetness. I wish it had just a bit more candied citrus and radiated more. I like it, but want to find something to add to zest this up a bit. D & G Devotion ruins the vibe this fragrance has going. I’d love some ideas!

This smells like when my husband has just mowed the lawn and is chasing yellow jackets around with bug spray. I don't know why these notes added up reminds me of a hot summer and lots of bug spray.

Hate this one so much. Many people hyped this and of sorce perfume. Most of their perfume doesn’t smell good for me at. This one is top of my least fav too. It’s so stinky. Got me so headache. I have to rub it off immediately. Don’t blind buy this one.

Hate it. It’s very punchy. It’s almost good but it has something bitter and weird about it. I hate Jasmin smell and this one doesn’t have that note but it smelled it in here.

I was a little nervous about this scent because I feel like a lot of citrus + tea fragrances just smell like hotel to me, and I don't really love that lol. And it does have that vibe, but in a Sorce interpretation. It's glimmering and pretty, like sitting outside drinking tea on a sunny spring morning. I don't know if I'll reach for my sample a lot since I'm kind of picky about tea fragrances, but I do appreciate this one.

I LOVE THIS. Also a good reminder to ignore negative reviews as we ALL have different tastes and senses of smell! This is a lovey bright citrus at first and then creamy warmth is not far behind. It’s long lasting and mostly warm and creamy with touches of brightness in the dry down. It’s a joy!! I’m so glad I ordered a sample and would probably purchase a bigger size when this is done. GREAT for fall/winter!

This is like floating through a soft musky fluffy cloud topped with sugared lemon on a sunny day, so bright, uplifting, and cozy at the same time. I really don't get many other pepper or ambery notes. This is very transparent, great for super hot days or occasions for polite perfume. Sadly it doesn't project or last long but I'm here for the whimsical lift of spirits it gives for a fleeting moment.

Smells quite similar to devotion by dolce & gabbana. I prefer Dolce& gabbana SO much more! this one smells a little bit too sweet and headache inducing.. at the opening I couldn’t help but smell wood polisher/ cleaner spray. On a positive note, it is a super sweet, strong and yummy gourmand. just too much for me!

citrusy white tea scent with an amber undertone and a slightly woodsy dry down i love love this. its light with the citrus and the woodsy notes ground it down

dry down of just sichuan pepper is ruining it for me.. but love it and hate it, wish those opening notes stuck around a bit longer.

I get a slightly spiced lemonade. Just sparkling citrus for now. Will let the oil macerate.
