The Things Unsaid

I would describe this as a laundry musk type of scent, which I almost always hate, but here’s why this one is different:it’s only slightly aldehydic and the raspberry adds a pleasant, colorful sweetness without taking it into gourmand territory, and the florals keep it fresh. I live in a very rainy/thunderstormy climate and I don’t really see the rain aspect in here. I can force myself to imagine it, but it doesn’t smell damp like some other perfumes do. To me this is like going over to visit That Friend With The Gorgeous House on a cloudy, windy day and chilling on a pink sofa on her rooftop terrace with a glass of white wine. I do actually smell something like wine in here!

this scent is so so soo incredibly beautiful. it opens with translucent petals dampened in a storm and the photorealistic scent of petrichor. the drydown leans floral, almost like the rain gradually stopping, the clouds parting softly to reveal rays of sun that cast warmth on blossoms embellished in crystal dew. the earth has been washed clean, purified, yet a melancholic feeling still lingers ever so slightly - the clouds are still tinged grey. this is one of the most artistically stunning perfumes ive ever come across. the nostalgic wonder of spring showers captured effortlessly in a bottle. this isn’t one i think suits me for wear, but it’s a treasure regardless.

I love so many of Sorce’s fragrances but this is one of my favorites. The soft petrichor with spring rain and cotton scents make me feel peaceful and happy but also brings up a memory from the past that doesn’t make you said just thoughtful

This is such a beautiful, sorrowful rainy scent. It smells like standing under an umbrella in the spring rain and saying goodbye. There's something hanging in the air, but you leave it there. I'll be buying a larger bottle.

smells so much like my childhood apartment building in bulgaria freshly after the rain. Faint lingering of a neighbor’s floral parfum. The trees outside are wet. I adore this scent and cant get enough of it.

This smells like a flower garden in a thunderstorm - florals, heavy rain, swirling wind, and wet dirt. This is VERY different from what I usually go for, but it's weirdly growing on me... dirt and all. **Coming back after a few hours of wear to say that the dirtiness DOES fade away, leaving behind a tangy-but-sweet-wet-flower-petal scent. Very pretty. Still a little more punchy than a "standard" floral, but in a fun way.

this fragrance honestly threw me for a loop. i am more of a gourmand girl, yet this is the most complimented fragrance in my collection. it is quite nice tho, very airy and clean. probably just a me thing, but it smells different every time i wear it. sometimes it smells like pencil shavings lmao, and other times it smells like dew drops on peony with a touch of raspberry. very polarizing experience to say the least

a very fresh, spring fragrance. it smells like the end of the last rain shower, a rainbow is peaking through the clouds, and the spring flowers are fluttering near a pond. it's quite a beautiful and nostalgic scent. i wore it today and i got compliments, which was unexpected if i'm being honest. to me i'd rate it a 7/10 but that because i'm more into gourmands and sweet fragrances, but this is refreshing.

Photorealistic petrichor scent. Smells exactly like stepping into a peony garden after the rain. There's a bit of bitterness in this, almost like wet, nutrient-dense soil. Melancholic yet romantic, like a depressed longing you will never give voice. Staring out the window, imagining all the things that will never come to fruition.

I know many others don’t like the initial smell, but I enjoyed it - as it felt. Nostalgic of something. The dry down is nice, but kind of sharp. Once it’s dried down it reminds me a lot of Marc Jacob’s Daisy Eau so Fresh

Smells like taking a walk through your peony garden in the humid rainy season of spring, and taking a sniff of the peonies as the water drips off the petals.

like being in the pirates of the carribean ride at disneyland + slightly floraly. Def a comfort scent for me.

This is the one I most expected to love from the Love Story discover set but it’s just not for me. I get a ton of pink pepper and it stays throughout the wear. I enjoy pink pepper in scents but here it’s overwhelming the other notes for me. I get just a hint here and there of peony and fruitiness and something kind of like clean laundry (dried on the line specifically). I always find it interesting how different people get completely different things from a fragrance and I wish I was getting the aquatic/petrichor notes but it’s mostly just sharp and peppery to me.

I’ve been obsessed with this brand lately, but this is probably my least favorite of the bunch that I’ve tested out. That said, it’s still pretty pleasant, and I do keep going back to sniff it. It feels like there’s something familiar about it. It kind of has a smell of something like a glue stick and then also maybe some sunscreen I’ve used in the past. I wonder if that’s just the raspberry mixing with the peony with that rain note in it. I would finish up the sample, but I wouldn’t get a full bottle of it.

This smells fine? But I don't really enjoy it. It's not offensive. It is just a very weak watery, peony scent with pink pepper. Unfortunately I dislike pink pepper. The pink pepper doesn't make this very spicy, just adds a touch of fruity/vegetal note. It is very weak, I have to spray heavily or I can barely smell it. Sorce scents are very it or miss for me, this was not one of my faves.

not something i'd have gotten on my own accord (was given a sample) as it's not what i usually go for, but it is nice and definitely succeeds at evoking a rainy day! really captures that petrichor but breaks it up with the sweet raspberry, which makes this a lot more enjoyable than i anticipated. if you like rain and florals this could be a love! overall rating: 🩷🩷🩷🖤🖤 3/5

veryyy much a flowerbed in the rain! it has that same damp earth feeling as meet me on sunnyside, but with a touch more floral and no citrus. i think the raspberry gives a hint of sweetness, but it's mostly overpowered by the cedar and pink pepper. i love the opening much more than the dry down unfortunately, but i'm hoping this one will grow on me!

I have been wearing this for a little bit now and on initial spray I am hit by a scent of tea tree oil. Once it settles onto the skin it morphs into the more peppery and cedar notes. So definitely don't spray on as you are leaving the house, apply like an hour before.

i got this in one of the discovery sets and i thought i'd like it since i tend to enjoy scent profiles like this, but all that i get is a sharp earthiness that i can't see myself wearing. something about it doesn't feel well-blended 𐔌՞.‸.՞𐦯

On my skin, it starts off grassy, green, and peppery. Then after like 30 mins it dries down to rain like when it rains and you smell the grass and the rain, and then it’s lightly fruity. I didn’t like the opening but the dries down okay

The opening was a bit harsh for me, smelled like dirt and roots but in a sharp way. It did calmed down and then I get dewy flowers , and sometimes I get a fresh red apple instead of the raspberry. It’s meh the opening ruins it for me

Smells like wet mud and mild damp florals. Evolves into a nice and comforting scent with dry down very similar to BR540 or Christian Provenzano Rocca

This scent doesn't offend me at all, it's floral aquatic, it actually is a little like a room freshener so not really for me, but not bad.

Unfortunately the pink pepper in this just ruins it for me, but I wanted to love it. This smells like dipping pickles in clear lake water

I definitely smell the rain notes, I find this scent a bit too harsh to me to the point where it’s slightly bitter. I think if the florals are stronger mixed with the rain note it’ll be more wearable.

Just smells super earthy, like straight grass in my nostrils. Pretty much Heretic's Nosferatu without the oud and a slightly grassy/floral smell.

This isn’t a bad perfum. Honestly, it’s far from it. It’s floral, it’s clean, I get a WHOLE bunch of peony, but I’m indifferent towards it. Performance? On point, as usual with this brand. But here's the thing, while this might be a stand out for a different perfume house, when you stack it up against the other absolute GEMS this brand has cranked out, it’s kind of... meh. It’s like watching a mediocre sequel to an already great franchise. Even still, I’ll wear it and finish my sample, but I’m not exactly rushing to get a full bottle. Don’t take my word for it though, try it yourself.

I do get a rain feel first on; watery, faint petrichor, some light unsweet florals. Has a hint of mildew (petrichor often does) and the raspberry is bringing in more sweet than I love, making this a hard berry candy drop in a humid mildewed greenhouse, at the moment. The greenhouse fades off and leaves berry citrus candy. It’s okay but not sure I love it. Retry, and yeah, loam and sweet berry juice. Well done, but puzzling and not a keeper.

Knowing nothing about this perfume, all I got was wet purple floral bush in a half photorealistically natural and half oldschool perfume way. This isn't my cup of tea so I am probably not the best person to review this but this equally gives me 'natural perfume your mum would wear/ something artificial and choking your grandmother would wear'. Wet flowers, alcohol, vintage astringent feminine floral perfume. I hate it.

This scent has a melancholy aquatic peony, but what stands out to me are the woody and peppery notes that combine into petrichor. It smells a little bit like undergrowth. This would be a perfect scent to cry to. The woman who wears this would be very mysterious. Beautiful scent, not for me but I can't dislike it 7/10

Oh man, I love this! Smells like it’s just starting to sprinkle, but you know those clouds are going to unload soon. Beautiful spring flowers are blossoming, and there’s still some clean clothes on the clothes line. My favorite rain scent. Bought a FB, can’t wait for it to get here.

I got this as a freebie when I ordered a different sample scent from sorce but I’m obsessed. The first thing it reminded me of was walking through the bellagio conservatory, standing next to a water feature. So good!

smells like a sunny spring shower!! humidity and flowers. i dont get any of the raspberry though :( i’m not sure how much i’d reach for this compared to the other fragrances in the love story discovery set tho

this smells exactly like this pink coconut refrigerated water i’ve been drinking, no wonder it smelt so familiar but im started to be weirded out by my coconut water now

This reminds me of Steamed Rainbow by DS&Durga, very similar vibe on the skin, however The Things Unsaid is a little more synthetic and woody...definitely woody.

Wow, this is really special. If you like Nosferatu by Heretic but wished it was just a little prettier, this is definitely for you.

This very much smells like rain to me. I don’t get much else, very photorealistic. If this is what youre looking for, try it out!
