Venus in Fleurs

I took a road trip to Sorce's one and only flagship store and tried basically everything they had. This perfume surprised me so much that I bought a FB. It's almost a sticky kind of sweet thanks to the juicy mango, and has an enveloping floral quality due to the jasmine, but to me I feel as though the two notes are blended in such a way that you can't tell exactly where these sensations are coming from which lends an otherworldly vibe to the frag. It's powerful in a way I don't tend to love but somehow it works for me here, I just have to be careful about overspraying. As it dries, the sweetness gives way to the greenery. Intoxicating is definitely the right descriptor.

This is my new summer scent. It's lush, sensual and intoxicatingly delicious. Wow, it does make me feel like some tropical Venus. It's dangerous and sexy, but fresh and invigorating. The mango wears a bit like peach on me personally but the green and jasmine create this very gorgeous complexity that's humid and sticky. If you're a bit into darker fragrances I'd say this is a gorgeous darker summer scent. It's like forbidden love on a tropical getaway. It gives images of banana leaves and orchids, the eyes of a big cat shining from behind the shadows.

this surprised me! i was not expecting to like this as much as i do, especially since i tend to gravitate towards soft and spicy scents. like other reviewers have said, this is more floral than juicy. the jasmine is BEAUTIFUL and just lovely, and the mango is definitely there! it adds a sweetness and a ripeness to the perfume that makes me feel like i’m in a botanical garden greenhouse! i actually love it so much and i normally cant stand tropical fragrance!!! it feels sophisticated and LUSH.

Reminds me of mango jasmine tea. Heavier than much of Sorce's library, but decadent and evocative. It feels like you're transported somewhere with thick, heavy, ripe mango and lots of humidity. Definitely a summer-y fragrance. Sorce proves again that fruity smells are best tempered with an equal dose of greens. EDIT: May become too heavy and thick, almost choking, if you reach for it too often. Probably best as a layer with something lighter and cleaner.

Venus in Fleurs has captured the sticky heaviness of humidity you’d feel in a jungle. On my skin, the green notes are incredibly prominent, as is the mango. I don’t normally gravitate toward fruity fragrances but this is a definite exception. The green notes stop this from leaning too sweet and make it very realistic. I think this scent is very sexy but in a naturalistic way. Can’t wait to wear this all summer long!

I adore this! I don’t usually go for jasmine scents but this is so easily likeable, I think jasmine lovers and not-so-lovers alike will enjoy this. It is mango-forward, especially at the opening but the vanillic jasmine absolute underneath shines as well. With that combination I also get osmanthus vibes from this, a fave of mine!

My absolute favorite Sorce scent by far! I’m not really sure how, but they captured the smell of humidity?! Even my husband, whom hates green scents, loved this one. It’s like walking into a green house during a hot and humid summer day while slurping down a ripe mango. Its gorgeous and I can’t get enough of it!

Definitely a Venus scent. Sticky sweet mango warm in the sun with humid, heady, slightly indolic white florals. The dry-down is like honey-vanilla. Perfect summer fragrance if you want heady florals with tropical fruit. Very strong, good longevity and projection. A decadent feminine scent.

I smell mango, humidity, jasmine, and honeysuckle. Venus in Fleurs makes you feel like you're eating a sweet mango in a tropical rainforest. It's not a perfumy interpretation, it smells very realistic. I agree with flatfootqueef, this is very intoxicating.

A hot, humid, sticky green house in a tropical landscape. Like you tugged to hard on an over ripe mango trying to pull it off the tree and the juice is running down your arm while carnivorous plants salivate over you in the background.

A sweetened jasmine bomb with mangoes and green plants, an absolute banger! Not sure what humidity is supposed to smell like this but this is soooo divine. It also lasts forever, I don’t spray a lot since it’s so beast mode.

This smells like a greenhouse full of warm, steamy jasmine and ripe mangoes. At first, the juicy mango is THERE. And she's YUMMY. Then the jasmine really takes over. It stays juicy, plump, and green throughout the wear, almost sharp in its greenness. Floral absolutely, but also tangy and sour. This is one of those scents that I can almost taste - the steaminess, the humidity almost clings to the roof of my mouth. Overall this perfume is SO interesting. It just smells so wild and alive.

They nailed the humidity note. Think emerging from a shower during a vacation in the tropics. The mirrors are foggy because you forgot to turn on the humidity fan, and you can smell the mango shampoo off of your still-warm damp hair. As it dries down it's mostly heavy florals. It's on the stronger side of Sorce's scents--I probably would not wear more than one or two sprays of this.

this is an amazing fruity jasmine. i dont usually love white florals but this feels so nostalgic and fancy like being at a tea party as a kid or using your rich aunt’s fancy hand soap. great projection and i feel like you could wear this all year for any occasion. very comforting

ripe, juicy fruits and tart berries that give way to humid, tropical greens. not quite strong but not very weak. very well blended as well, it doesn't lean too much into any one scent note. would be a lovely beach trip vacation scent!

venus in fleurs is the fragrance I was most excited about from Sorce because of the plant note but unfortunately i dont really smell it. I get mostly mango and jasmine but it still smells fresh and good to me (oil sample)

Definitely pulls more jasmine than mango but the jasmine in this is very tea-like and soft which makes it perfect for warm weather. Reminds me of Orabella's blooming fire but with an added fruity undertone

Such a lovely fruity floral scent. In the air I smell a lot more mango, but closer to the skin is when the vanilla jasmine comes out. I think this would be a good light summer scent.

Humid. For some reason the mango mixed with jasmine has almost a green grape quality. But the overall fragrance isn׳t particularly green, no amazonia.

Pretty and youthful. Fruity, sweet and florals are almost watery. Reminds me of an apple and mango scented body wash .very Nice but not for me

Very strong Jasmine, not nearly as green as I was expecting. Fruity white floral, pretty.

I normally don't love any scent described as “tropical” but the jasmine in this reminds me of spring in the south smelling jasmine and magnolia in the heat rather than a sunscreen or beachy kind of vibe. The jasmine is pretty indolic and goes slightly mothball-y but it’s balanced well with the other notes. This evokes a steamy summer evening, drinking a tropical cocktail as night jasmine blooms all around you. You feel beautiful, relaxed, and just a little sweaty.

i get a sliver of mango at the beginning but then it's allllllll jasmine from there on out! this does have a very cool "humid" aspect to it, but i don't think this one is for anybody but lovers of white florals. it's a bit too indolic on my skin but it is a very creative and fun perfume from an artistic standpoint!

i can't win with this one. wearing this TO ME was like a storybook. the green opening was funny, it's like you're really trapped in this humid greenhouse. i didn't hate it. then the mango note started peaking in and i promise when all the notes come together it smells so so gorgeous and juicy. but then that Jasmine 😫 idk, it was like the last thing i smelt and it smelt like the inside out someone's mouth. i like the jasmine in The Lovers because it's not overbearing, but something about the jasmine in this is a bit stronger and it becomes the only thing i smell if I'm not closely sniffing my clothes. the way this smells on my wrists too is questionable.

I own carnivorous bog plants and did not think this smelled similar.

unfortunately not for me. smells like thick sweet cough syrup. not mango, just really stinky jasmine. tried as coconut oil perfume; maybe this has an impact?

Pretty, tropical, high school girls’ locker room. It’s after practice, the showers are all occupied and generating a thick steam that combines with the fruity body sprays that scream adolescence. It’s a battle of the fruit in their competition to smell fruitier and sweeter among the rest. There’s apple, strawberry, mango. You catch strong whiffs of each as gusts of air change directions with girls walking around, flipping their hair, and airing out towels. This is that whiff of sweet artificial mango, like The Body Shop. Cheap, easy, crowd pleaser.

I am familiar with a ton of designer and niche houses, but my past forays into indie perfumery were oil based and I hated them. This scent is just as clear, fresh, and wonderful as leading houses. It's an incredible tropical green mango, with white and yellow florals. The greenness is slightly vegetal and spicy but blended well. It's juicy, flirty, and delicious. This is the first of seven I'm trying from this house and it's an incredible start. 9/10

Man, I love this. I bought the 15ml after sampling this from the discovery set. Beautiful, sexy fragrance. I don't tend to like gourmands and I wouldn't consider this gourmand despite the fruitiness. The atomizers on the sampler were really not great, but the atomizer in the 15ml bottle is awesome and I get a better dose of the fragrance as a result. Excited to have this for spring and summer.

I wore this perfume today for the first time, and kept thinking "what is that amazing smell?" It fits the description perfectly. I love it and I might buy a full sized bottle. Great warm weather scent, though it could be worn any time. Definitely one of my favorites from the Love Story collection.

Sooooo sooooo lovely, the longevity is amazing. i wore it out for the first time yesterday and i still smell it on my clothes. It's listed as tropical and you do get a fruity scent but it's much more sophisticated than any other tropical scent ive tried. Really nice !

A juicy dripping mango and strong jasmine with “humidity” note that you can imagine so clearly. I can be very picky with fruity scents but this is beautiful. I highly recommend to sample even if these notes aren’t your normal, the perfume is gorgeous and unique.

Sweet, ripe, juicy bright mango. The “carnivorous plants” add a bit of greenness to it to ground how sweet this could have been but doesn’t make the scent too green. This, again, has great lasting power and projection, as does all Sorce scents.

The smell is genuinely wonderful. But it reminds me of a glade plugin! I usually love fruity scents, but I think this leans to powdery/vanilla for me. Every time I smell it I hear "Plug it in, Plug it in."

Sweet sweet mango with a wonderful aromatic greenery that dries down unlike anything I’ve ever smelled. This is how I plan to smell all summer long.

I don’t get the mango from this at all, however this is a very crowd pleasing feminine scent. It smells good, but generically “perfumey” to me!

i love love LOVE this so much it’s really earthy and spicy, reminds me of a really expensive perfume i can’t name
