This is the best of both worlds for me. Sweet syrupy strawberry gourmand meets a fresh and clean green scent. In the opening it is mostly sweet strawberry in a realistic but enhanced way.. like if you had a strawberry plant growing a super syrupy sweet strawberry. As it dries down I start to smell more of. the greenness of the stem and the “grass”, as well as a slightly damp soil note. This is not a “dirty” dirt at all- truly at least to my nose this is the most beautiful, wearable, slightly earthy, mouthwateringly sweet green scent ever. The picture it paints in my mind: after a spring shower in late April you go outside to tend to your sweet strawberry plants. It’s balmy and humid outside and the air smells of fresh, clean, warm spring rain and all that comes with it. Your yard is lush and green and slightly over grown. Maybe you’re also sucking on a strawberry candy. Love!

This is one of best and most unique perfume I’ve purchased this year. I purchased a 50ml in April and I’m almost out. I do not own anything else like this, I feel this way about most of my Sorce collection, however, WTWTG is a totally different experience. I’d describe this scent like walking through a field picking strawberries while drinking cream soda. Then you decide to add some strawberries to that cream soda. First, it opens up with a photorealistic earthy strawberry scent. Then you get the cream soda and a bit of the grass note. The vanilla absolute note is present but it’s not the star of the show. It kind of tones down the grass not without overpowering it, making the grass note enjoyable. The scent projects well and lasts for about 7+ hours. I get a ton of compliments when I wear it. I’m so happy it’s now available in a 100ml.

(version 1) oh how i wish i could go back in time and sniff this for the first time again... this perfume is pure childlike joy. it is strawberry candy with a bright, effervescent edge from the cream soda, and a touch of greenery that keeps the sweetness in check. in essence it reminds me a lot of petite cherie by annick goutal: fruity, cheery, and innocent. they even share a grass note! but if you were hoping for realistic strawberry, this is not the scent for you. what it feels like in one sentence: sitting in the grass of a lively park on a sunny spring day while sipping on a strawberry ramune

i have version 1 (sweet and fruity). it’s a very sweet sugary strawberry soda scent but not synthetic at all. the grass notes blends in really nicely, i bit minty as well. i understand why someone said it smells like strawberry gum bc it definitely does for a minute. i love love love it it’s unlike any strawberry scent i’ve ever come across the soda scent softens and becomes even nicer as it dries down and that minty scent becomes more grassy. love!!!!!!!!!!

Opens with a green kick and dries down to a sweet slightly creamy bright strawberry with a hint of musk. I love love love this scent its the perfect strawberry- not too sweet with green notes. Only downside is it doesnt project very much at all on my skin and only lasts around 3 hours. Version 2 of this scent is similar but reminds me more of a green jolly rancher and lasts all but 30 mins on my skin

If strawberry and grass seems like a strange combo to you, I must insist-- it WORKS. Sweet in a fruity strawberry way. Super ripe and juicy smelling. The green note cuts the sweet fruit perfectly, and the last few notes are in the back like a creamy cushion. Loved way more than any other strawberry perfume I've tried!

Crazy juicy, jammy strawberry scent. There’s something in the top notes that smells just like wet soil to me which gives it a strawberry garden feel. The soil scent is gone pretty quickly and what’s left is sweet and fruity but with some sophistication that keeps it well clear of body mist territory.

I ordered the greener version of this and it is the best photorealistic strawberry scent I’ve ever found. I have to say I have a lot of her fragrances and she has more 10/10s for me than any other house.

Smells like a strawberry jolly rancher that's been sucked on for 30 seconds and then dropped into some grass at 6 am.

I honestly don't get much strawberry from this, and I got version I. I was a bit disappointed with the opening, the ambrette (or perhaps the grass?) give a somewhat bitter, musky, scent that muddles with the vanilla in a manner that I did not personally enjoy, though great for the musk fans. Another review noted a harsh spray tends to bring this out, so perhaps it is that, and I do find it to be a softer scent when spritzed gentler, but hard to control with the bottle. On me, dried down (though took a second to really get to the base notes) to a lovely cream soda/vanilla, with a slight green hint, and very very faint strawberry (then again, allergies might be messing with my scent perception). Light and refreshing, sweet without being overpowering. Great spring scent. I found to be pretty decently lasting, even through showering. Layered with the nest santa barbara strawberry oil mixes well, and brings out more of the strawberry I wasn't able to pick up on much of myself.

I have version II fruity and green. First impressions from one spray on the inner forearm- 80% photorealistic grass, 20% pretty realistic strawberry. Very interesting, sits close to the skin. The more I sniff, the more I become anosmic to the strawberry but the grass stays strong. There’s also a hint of moist dirt, like petrichor smell. This smells to me very much like memories of being a slightly sweaty little girl playing in the grass in the backyard, and I’ve been eating something sticky and sweet. I’m curious to try version I to see how the balance is different. Edit: it’s been a few hours and the grass smell died down. I’m left with a faint creamy strawberry smell.

I have version I of this in the oil sample size. I got it in a search for a fragrance like the Olay Fresh Outlast Strawberry Mint body wash, which is both sweet and fresh. My first reaction was that it’s a very sweet strawberry similar to the BBW Strawberry Snowflakes. Except minus the nausea and migraine that accompanies every BBW product for me. My husband’s response was “powdered sugar,” and he’s not wrong. I realized it smells like a rather synthetic, very sweet strawberry topped with powdered sugar. If this your jam, you might enjoy. It’s not fresh or mature, and I catch no fresh grass. Oddly, I get a faint lemon dish soap dry down, which I don’t enjoy.

I tried version II and thought I wouldn't like it at all--I was pleasantly surprised!! The fragrance opens with a fresh, leafy, green note with a slight watery strawberry in the background. If you overspray this fragrance, you may find the opening to be a bit bitter. It smells like you put your nose right on the leafy part of the strawberry and huffed with all your might. Then, the fragrance dies down into a soft strawberry scent. The strawberry in this isn't artificial or syrupy at all, which I really appreciate. I find that on me, this fragrance sits super close to the skin and is barely detectable after about 5-6 hours of wear.

There’s a particular strawberry candy that this smells like that I can’t quite pin down. At first, I thought it was like the ones that are the red strawberry candy with filling that come in that strawberry shaped wrapper. But it’s something fruitier than that. It’s pretty much one note, being that strawberry candy. I really like it, though, and I do think this would layer really well for something fruitier on top of another fragrance you have. While, it’s not necessarily my favorite Sorce perfume, I still think it’s pretty amazing. I think that just says more about the brand and how good their other fragrances are.

This is a nice scent but it is not quite what I was expecting. With grass being a note listed I thought this scent would be a lot more green than it is. And unfortunately I don't really get grass at all. It starts as a kinda synthetic overly sweet strawberry flavor, like candy really. And then it dries into a creamy vanilla. Certainly not a bad scent and I can see a lot of people really loving this, and I will probably be using the rest of this sample when spring rolls around again. However it is just not a scent that I think is nice or unique enough to pay for a full bottle of.

It definitely smells exactly as its notes describe. Just a candied strawberry that’s surrounded by spilled cream soda, lying in the freshly mowed grass. The earthy smell isn’t prominent but it’s noticeable, and gives the fragrance a small “fresh air” element. This is a very unique perfume, and one that definitely invites a feeling of childhood nostalgia (IF you were one of the kids who played with scented “Strawberry Shortcake” dolls in the yard...). Anyways, I definitely recommend sampling!

This is not a photorealistic fresh strawberry, it’s more of a strawberry rolled in sugar or a bright strawberry jam. It’s very pretty and sweet, and it’s going on hour four on my skin, and it’s strong enough still that I think it’ll last for a while longer. The scent has changed a bit after a few hours and it smells very similar to Golden Hour by Goldfield & Banks, and I no longer smell strawberry but a general fruitiness. I already own Golden Hour, so I’m not sure I need this as well.

Version I Review: This is definitely a sweet strawberry cream soda. There's a small hint of green notes, but to me they're almost undetectable until it dries down for a bit and they start to shine through. At the beginning it absolutely smells like strawberry gum like others wrote. I think the beauty in this is definitely in the drydown, where it gets less like a sweet/cloying synthetic strawberry gum and more into the cream soda and grass along with the strawberry.

This is such an interesting scent. The greens part of the fragrance is VERY photorealistic--I can clearly smell the grass, dirt, and strawberry plant. It's fun to wear sometimes, but not something I'd want to smell like all the time. The strawberry note is there but I wouldn't say it's photorealistic--it smells more sugared and candy-like. I wouldn't say it smells synthetic, though. I don't get any cream soda.

this one is really good! truthfully, i prefer version II (the greener one), but this one is pretty darn yummy on its own. at first spray, it's this beautiful, jammy, gummybear-like strawberry. it quickly settles into something more green and fizzy! i prefer a bit more of that greenness, hence my favoring version II, but this one on it's own is perfect for a warm spring/summer day!

There were two versions of this listed on the website, and I believe the one I got was Version I. This is a realistic strawberry, with the green crowns and all, sweet and ripe! Leave it to an indie brand to actually get a strawberry fragrance right. The strawberry is long lasting and doesn't get lost throughout your wear time.

I really like this blend of notes, it’s a little unexpected but works so well together. I just wish this fragrance gave a little more oomph. Like a little more performance, I guess? It’s lovely but it’s definitely lacking, it’s very close to the skin & doesn’t have the best longevity.

if you want to smell like those candies with the strawberry packaging, this is for you. i personally wouldn't want to even as a gourmand lover, but i like it for just how well it captures the smell of those delicious candies. good for a very bright and fun person

the strawberry note in this is fresher and juicier than any other strawberry fragrance ive smelled. its like a tarter more elevated version of Strawberry Poundcake by bbw. probably one of the best scents by Sorce im going to wear this all summer

So yummy! Smells kinda like cherry flavored medicine at first (which initially threw me off and i didn’t like!) When first applied it’s a bit intense but it sits down nicely as time goes by. Super fruity and smells natural as well once it sits.

They're not lying about that grass note! You definitely get that bubbliness from that cream soda. Reminds me of strawberry Mentos gum lol. Not too sweet, definitely not for everyone. Not a very "simple" strawberry scent.

This is a very nostalgic smell, it smells like a sweet strawberry candy spray they had at bath and body works when I was a kid, super yummy and fresh

The strawberry is very, very sweet and a touch synthetic but overall the perfume is a delightful joyous straightforward summery scent.

This smells like straight up strawberry laffy taffy. I like it, but I'm not sure how wearable it is.

This is that gum with the goo in the center. I like it but I’m not sure how to wear it

I sprayed it on my wrists, and at first it projects really well but after a few hours the sillage becomes very intimate. I came up to my mom and I dabbed my wrist on her wrist, she smelled it and said "ewwww what is that?!?! Get it off!" Thus, I went to my brother and asked him to smell my wrist, all he said was, "it smells like candy". I agree, to me it smells just like the strawberry candies every grandma seems to have, well at least my grandma used to always have a bowl of them, which is so nostalgic.

I can really appreciate the unique green twist this takes on a strawberry fragrance, but unfortunately, to me, it's not exactly wearable. It's a very sweet and tart strawberry, but it's also the whole bush and the soil. I enjoy smelling my sample, but I wouldn't want to smell like it if that makes sense. I can appreciate the artistry of it. I wish I had gotten more of the vanilla cream soda! (Please note this is a review for the IPM-based version, as I am Canadian)

oooooh this one's so good but unfortunately the grass doesn't do it for me. I was hoping it would blend in more for me but I think grass + ambrette = this very sharp astringency that cut through the strawberries and cream for me :( still absolutely lovely and I think if you like the way grass smells you'd like this!! plus the shop owner sent a few extra free samples in my order so :D

Sorce fragrances are nice, but, too young for my taste. It's something for teenage girls I'd say. Not that it smells bad but it's most likely not full bottle worthy if you're a perfume fan over 30 years old.

Version 1 and 2 smell very similar except version 2 is more green and more grass like. Not a photorealistic strawberry, more like those strawberry candies people ate when they were kids

this smells exaaactly like that colgate strawberry toothpaste in the rectangle bottle i used to use as a kid 💀💀💀💀💀 no other words...just not for me. love sorce tho

Strawberry is nice and juicy if not a bit synthetic for the first ten minutes then your left with a kind of grass in dirt smell.

This perfume made me realise I like gourmand-inspired perfumes (like Killian's Angel Share), but nothing photorealistic.

Smells like those fake strawberry gummies from Trolli, very synthetic.

I love a lot of sorce perfumes, but unfortunately this was a no for me. The strawberry smell it has reminds me of a sickeningly sweet pack of gum that stinks up your bag, or like a strawberry geek bar. Just very fake-strawberry smelling and so sweet to the point that it’s almost nauseating. I really wanted to like this since I tend to really like strawberry notes in perfume but this one was just a big no for me sadly.

Version II: a fresh, tart strawberry on the vine. It’s pretty sour on me and the ambrette is definitely there. It gets faint really quickly. After a few mins it’s a very dull ambrette with a hint of green. My preferred Sorce take on strawberry is definitely In Dreams and Fairytales Strawberry. Definite pass.

i thought i’d like it, i really did. i’ve been hunting for a photorealistic strawberry and the glowing reviews this perfume got had me think it was it. but this really didn’t smell like Anything at all. it was just kind of cloyingly sweet, i didn’t get any of the notes. maybe it’s just me.

Just no... one of the Sorce frags I was incredibly disappointed by. This is the most artificial strawberry I've ever smelled, and not in a good way. I think it's the cream soda element that makes this absolutely sickening to me, I was scrubbing this off after an hour of trying to give it time to change. I get no grass or anything else (so maybe V2 would be better?), just straight up fake strawberry and cream soda- so if that's your jam then go for this!

I'm not sure if I got ver I or II, I got a sample from the shop recently. This has managed to not be plastic doll head synthetic strawberry that I get so often with strawberry notes. Reminds me of Maman’s strawberry preserves. I don't get any grass which I'm happy about because I like the smell of it but that doesn't mean I myself want to smell like it. I would buy a full bottle of this and I don’t even like strawberry like that (Burberry Her and I don’t get along)

The perfumer is doing things nobody else is. The review below is correct about a gummy strawberry opening. It's intoxicating. The green notes are so refreshing, and true to the strawberry plant. It's enhanced by an incredible vanilla bean. What really shocks me about this brand is how smart they are about gourmands. They aren't trying to melt your teeth, it's more of a nostalgic conceptual fragrance that is also very wearable. I can't complain, I just love it 10/10
