Erba Leather

Erba Leather Sospiro Was aiming to get a not so common Sospiro and blinded Erba Leather Sospiro. On first sprays and opening...Oh My! Beautiful! What a lovely juicy passion fruit opening~~ The opening makes it different and special from most fruity sweet opening. The passion fruit here is realistic and isn't the sugar or cloying sweet but your typical passion fruit sweetness. The bergamot and lemon balances well with the passion fruit to give one of the better fruity openings I actually like this, as a guy. Very nice not so sweet fruity balanced opening with a very pronounced passion fruit. After a while, 10 mins or so, the scent opens up, the mid and heart notes starts to show up, they really show up as I can get the Jasmine note, the leather note and a lovely sandalwood, all can be distinguish but are so well balanced with the opening notes together. Really great and quite a good olfactory experience. One of the better ones lately. After half an hour or so, the leather begins it's domination with strong support from the sandalwood and I get abit of amber, the opening starts to drift off with the exception of the passion fruit that still lingers. The jasmine also starts to fade into the background. However the leather here is rather pronounced but is rather subtle and soft but strong enough, at the same time you'll get the sandalwood quite strongly. I can't really get the Vetiver on the drydown or it's very well blended in The amber could be going along with the sandalwood and heart notes but this seems to be it's pretty much created to be more musculine inclined with the notes but with added fruitiness and some floras at the opening to heart and drydown. Personally, I don't really dig those really loud fruity sweet opening and dominant frags with the exception of the raspberry leathery dna sweetness frags. I took a risk to blind this by reading up on quite a few writeups and it's more musculine profile and it's definitely a successful buy. Finally another fruity profile frag I really like and wont be hesitate to wear, and I'll definitely wear this out for dates and nights out. It does seems to suit day and Night too but it's not a hot day now that I'm wearing this with this review. One thing to note is the scent seems to develop differently on different parts of my body where I spray them. At least the timing of the scent development differs. While I'm getting a more dominant leather and sandalwood on the forehand and wrist first, while the fruitiness opening and jasmine remains much longer and stronger in the forearms and arms before it goes off and on the shirt it's kinda all in one blended with abit of fruitiness. For anyone looking at a leather sandalwood scent with a different fruitiness that can be rather pronounced, look this way and consider Erba Leather Sospiro. Easily a top scent and signature scent candidate.

As for initial impressions, this is great. I first tried Xerjoff Erba pura. It's okay but too fem and can be bothersome. I then tried Sospiro Erba magica and it was a lot better than Xerjoff but still leaned fem. Sospiro Erba Oud was the best with a few caveats. First, the skankiness can linger from the opening for a bit. After it's settled, you get the rich woodiness but it disappears in the dry down, and you are left only with the Erba DNA. I opted to try the leather because although I enjoyed Erba Oud, it wasn't perfect. I've worn this twice, and the passionfruit shares the stage with the leather until the deep dry down. These two notes dominate the fragrance for its lifespan, which isn't a bad thing, in my opinion. Like everything I've experienced from Sospiro, the blend is great and the performance is ABOVE average. I will drop an updated review once my 5ml is finished. I'm not a leather fan AT ALL, so I want to put this through its paces before I pass or pick up a bottle. As for now, this is edging out Sospiro Erba Oud for a full bottle pickup. I understand why people say this is the best in the Erba series, and right now, I agree. It's sample-worthy if you like tropical scents with a twist. It's sample-worthy even if you don't like leather, as I am right there with you. Edit: After a few more wears Im getting more and more leather which I was afraid of. I will let this sit as I am getting over a cold and it could be throwing off nose (I hope it is). Its great but Im not that into leathers so I will be back for an update to my update later.

Here's my opening gambit: Erba Pura is the Salt Bae of fragrances. A meteoric rise and fall, overplayed (e.g. Pazzaglia built his "empire" around its "clones") with little substance. ... but somewhere, in a tesseract parallel universe Nurset has 3 PhDs and invented a solution to deal with famine globally. Effectively, this is what Erba Leather represents, compared to Erba Pura and Provenzano is the brainy alt-Bae boy. Erba Leather is a "fun leather" fragrance, that starts with a mix of ripe (but not sweet) passion fruit and... leather. After 1 hour the passion fruit goes away (and the similarity with Oud Maracujá ends there), but the jasmine kicks in. As the fragrance progressively evaporates, it becomes more and more musky. Excellent performance, and reasonable price - at discounters.

This fragrance has quickly become the most used in my collection. I bought a decant, and at first, it didn’t seem that incredible. In fact, it felt very similar to PAX by Lorenzo Pazzaglia, which I was also considering buying after trying it. I used the decant for a few days, fell in love, and knew I had to buy it. ...(bye bye pax) I like the versatility of this fragrance. It doesn’t give me formal event vibes, but it’s perfect for any casual gathering with friends, as a signature scent, and even for the office. I think it works great in summer because of the fruity notes and in autumn for its leathery tones. I have the colorful bottle, but I’m wondering if the black bottle is a reformulation. It last for a long time and projects very good as well... I just love it.

I would have to say when you first spray it,you straight away get this enormous sillage where someone from let's say 10 meters, they'll be able to smell you which is very impressive. When i first sprayed it, it was way too strong then as you let it settle down, it lightens with the citrus and leather and it blends very well. This fragrance last 24hrs+. definitely meant for going out during night time and i have to say this gives me a rich guy vibe who lives in a city that presents himself out there with confidence that likes to drink whiskey in a cup with ice in it because he likes his whiskey with ice and likes it cold.2-3 spray max( nothing more than that or else you'll kill someone jk you won't kill someone but 3 is the max) Performance:10/10 Smell:8/10

The soft leather mix with fruity Erba Pura Love this perfume! I'm a man and I wear for the testing. It is definitely wearable for men. The first spray is fruity and soft leather. The opening till the dry down is kind of linear. The opening is beast but it settles down after some hours. This is a master piece, it is a fruity leathery perfume. It a beast when it comes to performance. It is a crowd pleasing smell. It is sexy, it is uplifting, it is joyful. It has officially become my new love. I love leathery fragrances, and the leather in Erba Leather is uniquely elegant, initially showing its presence almost as if it were the main note, but then, surrounded by wonderfully balanced fruity notes, it is enriched with softness and becomes nothing less than magnetic. In my opinion, it will be one of the brand's most appreciated fragrances. Immediately on my wishlist. It is magnetic for me, like one of my favourite paintings: ‘The Oath of Horatii’ by David.

Not at all what I was expecting. I was expecting a pretty linear leather and passionfruit but it has this blend to it, that has my nose not being able to pick out specific notes. It’s honestly an amazing fragrance, beautiful rich and fruity leather. 💯 I knew it smelt similar to something I’ve smelt and that’s Kamal Noir!! Which is also a love for me. Simply a masterpiece and the best of the Erba Pura DNA. All the notes are masterfully blended and the leather note is not too strong (i typically stay away from leather heavy scents, but this is different). Beast mode and mass appealing. Absolutely FB worthy and a steal if you can get this at a discounted price. Thank you, Christian Provenzano.

This fragrance is gorgeous! It is leather, yet adds a fruity hint to subdue the overpowering leather smell. I really feel you can wear this more times of the year than most other leather fragrances. The hint of passionfruit sets it apart and allows the heat to work with the scent. Great leather scent and should get more recognition!

This is an amazing versatile fragrance for all 4 seasons starts off with a juicy passion fruit and then it stays for about 4 hours then it dries down into a very likable leather. Super strong performance and good value for money in my opinion on discounters.

Beautiful scent, just passionfruit and leather really. Great performance. Easily worth the pricetag

Excellent in terms of smell and performance. Very unique!

The beginning is significantly different from the drydown. Not completely different, but for the first hour or two I didn't smell any leather at all. It was a thick but fresh perfume, like when you go out in the summer to the garden where freshly washed laundry is hanging, the fabric softener - strongly fruity lily orange with passion fruit and ripe mango and white linen, sharp not round, prickly sour-sweet. Only after almost two hours does the matte scratchy brown leather break free from the chain. Strongly dusty, powdery...iris, saffron,...the closest relative is Oud Maracuja, but this comparison doesn't quite work. Erba is rougher, more uncouth, but more real, less artificial, more weathered... Ending is iris-amber-oudy...musky...dense it nearly makes you cough. Game of high contrasts. For 120 Euro, 100ml is pretty OK.

This one starts with an intensive maracuja covered in a leather accord. After half an hour later the leather is much more prominent but the maracuja never disappears, it still stays there. I honestly love it, it is absolutely stunning fragrance for all-year-round and extremely well fitting for a summer cooler nights or nights around the beach. It will work amazingly well in all seasons as it is combining prominent heavy leather with tropical maracuja throughout the duration of the fragrance (8 hours).

This is strong. Like heavy strong. Leather with just a hint of bitterness. You can get the passion fruit right away. If you like to overspray, go easy. This is nuclear, and if you are in a close space environment like a car on the way to work for more than 30 minutes, this will choke you (not something that happened to me). Again, go easy on the sprays. The second time I used it, i got a bit excited with the sprays (12 sprays), and they told me i smell like cigarettes. Try it on a 3 ml decant

I don't get much of the tropical vibe in my sample. I do get that leather accord that is so common now. It dries down smelling just like the leather in Memo Irish Leather without the interesting matcha and other fresh vibes. Erba Leather is nice, great longevity, and I got several compliments, but ultimately is not very unique for an advanced frag head. Great for beginners, or more mass market leaning collectors.

Great release - best from all Erba flankers. This is masculine version of Pura. Leather is absolutely main player here that is the fact but tropical notes will be very prominent too and that give some sweetnes to this baby. They will fight from start to full drydown. Performances are so damn good too. Guys dont wear Erba Pura pls, its for women - buy this dude. 👌

Ok only my first wearing but the passion fruit I would say consumes everything in this fragrance and you’ve really got to wait for that to fade which takes a LONG time. Not saying I don’t like it but definitely don’t over spray this one. But once the overwhelming passion fruit dies down a bit it’s actually ok hence the score.

A clean masculine leathery scent.

I think there is significant difference between batches with this fragrance. I got a sample of this, and it was a masterful blend of fruit and leather. I ordered a full-sized bottle, and it is a blast of passion fruit. The leather is indistinguishable until far into the dry down. I am somewhat disappointed, I still enjoy the fragrance, but it is NOT what I was wanting or expecting based on sampling. **Edit** after putting my nose on Terenzi Kirkè the strangest thing has happened, the leather note in Erba Leather has emerged from behind the passion fruit to my nose, totally altering how I am perceiving this fragrance. This is why I love perfumery as a hobby.

The passion fruit feeling is very realistic for the first hour. This is very nice. I thought it was both fruity and had a lot of character with the leather. but then it turned into a very linear sweet, leathery scent that tired the nose. There was no depth or freshness. I was not convinced to buy a bottle.

The first 30 minutes of this is pretty good - its very close to oud maracuja - or the other way around since this was released first. I am certain that maracuja took inspiration from this since the dry down is nearly 1:1, disgusting leather note in the dry down and thats the only thing you can smell. 3/10 for me.

Be warned, do not put a full spray on then sit in a car for over 30mins - unfortunately, although I think this is a nice scent, I recollect it with headache inducing memories :-( As a scent, this leans feminine; interesting, to my nose it reminds me of the 1990s marine classic, Kenzo pour Homme: just on fruity and sweet steroids. I think this would work well on a beach holiday, outdoors; the scent trail is lovely. Up close - just to cloying for me and too much leaning towards feminine scents I recall from the powerhouse late 90s.

The usual leather mix with fruitti Trademark of "Erba Pura".. This blend has the same leather of "Traversèe Cèdre d'Ifrane" by L'Arc but more softened and you can barely get that iconic fruits in "Erba Pura" while passionfruit is added to it somewhere. The kind of leather used in here has been milked quite well over the past years and on different brands, but i guess they should make common blends to gain back their reputation with the bad past releases. But honestly, the price tag doesn't really worth this kind of blends! Meh.

Opens up with a strong passionfruit, distinct from their other fruity fragrances, and dries down into a smoky, slightly dirty leather. This is much more well-balanced than their Erba Oud which goes full smoky and barnyard, despite using the same dirty leather scent. Good performance

Blind bought this hoping to not have to buy oud maracuja, it was a miss. It's a nice mass appealing leather...take out the rough edges of Tuscan leather, replace the raspberry with passion fruit and that's it. Not for me, I think this is more of a bold sweet feminine leaning frag.

Who ever said this smells like Oud Maracuja needs to be studied. This smells nothing like it. This smells like a gone off peanut butter mixed in with a wet fart. Horrid. Yeah this ones a scrubber, terrible. And such a shame, because I had such high hopes

This is not erba pura. Erba pura is sickly sweet ... this is beautiful passion fruit up top and upon spraying you can already detect the top notes beautifully. The leather here is very subtle almost to non existence!

Hi everyone, I recently received this fragrance in a black velvet bottle, I tried it in a colored bottle before, the durability and sillage are excellent (24 hours on the skin)

the leather gives the overpowering frutiness of erba pura a wonderfully dark contrast, much more refined and classy that erba pura, extreme longevity and sillage too.

Opens up with melon, not passionfruit. Dries down to rough leather feel from Isobutyl Quinoline and some vanillic amber.

Best erba. Smell amazing. For. Those who love erba pura but think that its to sweet. This is amazing and long lasting.

this is just purely passion fruit and leather... potent and lasts long..... Passionfruit very dorminant in the opening
