Laylati (Afgano Puro)

Due to the relatively high concentration of oud oil in Black Afgano (and in the house of Nasomatto in general), I've not had the chance to smell Black Afgano yet, so I can't comment on the similarities Laylati has with it. I was debating with myself with the choice of either this or Xerjoff Fars. What made the purchase was that I found Fars (and the Xerjoff line in general) to be a little too crowd-pleasing for my taste, and severely overpriced for a 50ml bottle for the quality of content. Using synthetics is common in the niche line, and can be difficult to distinguish for natural ingredients if well-blended. But having the need to spend more than a product of the House of Matriarch? I'll pass. Scent: 8/10 My first contact with the Sospiro line was none other than Wardasina, which amazed me with the strong character of its Bulgarian rose note. Laylati inherits that strength and depth, but you can smell the nuances oozing from within. The initial blast has tea notes that yields a balmy flavour, but the complexity of the heart and base notes is what really captivated me. I have no idea why oud was not included within the list of notes. To my nose, it seems rather apparent and distinctive. But like most Western oud, Laylati's is toned down with musk and some traces of incense (which I suspect is tobacco). Sweetness is there, but it's just enough to give the iconic fullness of the oud/vanilla combo. Overall, very potent, yet comforting. The scent profile screams enigma and grandieur at the same time. Silage: 9/10 Nuclear. Period. No more than two sprays. Even two sprays stretches the comfort quite a bit. I suppose it's reasonable to expect this of something from Momo. Versatility: 6/10 I can't see this being pulled off in shorts, T-shirts and jeans. This is definitely for dressed-up events, and not for close encounters. Not for the summer heat as well. Spring might be okay, despite marginally. But would I wear it daily? I don't mind! Longevity: 9/10 This thing lasts about 14 hours on my skin, with 4 to 5 hours of nuclear projection. That's more than what I asked for, but again, it's Momo. I can even smell this from the velvet coating itself! Overall: 8/10 (Outstanding) This one is a must-try for any fragrance lovers.

Fragrance -Laylati (Afgano Puro) Sospiro Bottle from - 2015 Laylati is a mystical,mysterious,dark,enigmatic and deep scent of the night,with a little bit loud and challenging opening notes of herbs,followed by earthy patchouli,that give way to a enchanting,smokey,woody and spiritual mix of cedar,tobacco and musk,with a hint of moderately sweet vanilla,in the drydown.It has some similarities to Oud Alshain by Tiziana Terenzi.It is also very similar to Black Afgano by Nasomatto,but he took a different approach.I would say a lighter approach. Longevity - 10/10(10+hours) Silage/Projection - 10/10(excellent projection and silage for the first 4-5 hours) Weather - best in autumn and winter Age - 30+ Compliments - 8/10 Scent - 9/10 Main notes according to me - herbal notes,musk,cedar,tobacco,patchouli. The drydown is nice and deep and i get some - woodiness,smokiness,musk,vanille and tobacco. Emotions - dark forest,mystical,mysterious,spiritual,dark vibe elegance,enigmatic. Occasion -special occasions,nights out and formal events. Try before you buy.Don't blind buy this one.

I had a chance to sample this one and I disagree with notes breakdown here (again). I agree with many other reviewers that it has similarities with BA from Nasomatto, and I truly believe this is due to weed notes, not mentioned in the notes breakdown. To support my claim, I sprayed Kenski on my arm and compared both looking for that note in particluar, and I am convinced its present in both, although its much more pronounced and less refined in Kinski. The notes I can smell are: heavy incense (or bakhor maamoul to be specific), weed, rose, oud, and musk. Its certainly not fresh green in any shape or form, the name of this perfume translates to "my night = laylati", so I wouldn't expect fresh notes there as it contradicts the theme of this perfume I spent some good time analysing the notes and thats what it smells to me, some people might disagree though. As with most perfumes I tried from Sergio Momo, its a powerhouse and very sophisticated one. Its really good perfume, but those not familiar with strong perfumes might not like it

Sospiro is a magical brand that I've only begun getting acquainted with and spending quality time studying recently...... Capriccio: One of the Most intoxicating openings EVER- the breath of Angels...! 3. Verde Accento: Xerjoff Nio & Le Labo Bergamote22 hooks-up and has a child.. 4. Andante: A sophisticated and refreshing alternative to Terre D'Hermes 5. Duetto: Smooth, creamy Oud, not that "skanky" Oud that repulses so many.....

It's really beautiful. Yes smells like Afgano and lasts and projects fantastically. But man o'man it's got the most ridiculous bottle I've seen on a frag. Who'd want a velvet coating on their perfume bottle. You cannot see how much is left of it and the velvet they use is a cheap jewelry box lining. I dont even want to touch the bottle. Gives me the same feeling I get from a squeaky chalk on a blackboard. Sospiro people, use glass bottle!!! You are not doing any justice to what's inside the bottle.
